Any one of those ideas sound amazing and awesome and I would love to try it out. Now to think of a way to shoehorn my character into any one of them...
But nevermind that, just do yer thing. Either way, if you do any of those ideas, it just sounds like a lot of fun to just read, if not play.
And as always (starting right now), if you need an NPC, just ask me and I'll think something up.

I really love the second and third plot line you came up with, Shark. The second, that of the pirate summit, was very similar to an idea I had. I really like the idea of the possibilities for other pirate crews to interact with the group. I was thinking they could enter a competition with other pirates but a meeting might be better. That way characters can interact with other characters without having to rely on the constraints of a competition story. Then when everyone turns against them, that allows for great possibility of epic battles when the enormous amount of awesome NPC characters tries to kill them.
The third allows us to break from the One Piece stigma of pirates. We could really test the character's moralities and what it means to do what they're doing.
I don't really like the first that much, I'll admit it. It sounds too similar to the Proteon story you came up with before. I would rather do something like that story that involves various, interesting plots than simply coaksing the crew with treasure.
AND OH MY GOSH DOC SUPER. HNNGHHH. I really want to do the western simply for that reason. It could also be an excellent opportunity to give characters a temporary redesign and a different location for them to interact with.
Excellent ideas, Shark. I would really like to do something like the second idea for the next arc. We'll have to start talking about it soon since the next arc should begin once the crew leaves Jubilee.

I would rather do something like that story that involves various, interesting plots than simply coaksing the crew with treasure. Which first one would that be? 2. Piracy is a lucrative business, widespread across the world! And why not the sky as well? Approximately 14 years ago the 'King of the Sky', Proteon, gave his life to avert the cataclysm known as The Unending Day. In his passing was left an absence of order or control, and now four factions designated by methods of travel, vie for dominance of the bloodstained sky itself. The Navy has tried to intervene, only to be bested in strength and numbers. Instead they have pulled back, creating a literal quarantine of suspended platforms in the clouds, beneath the strongest area of fighting. The issue has been given of the highest priorities, viewed as a potential threat to seas below, should this fighting spread and make the Grand Age of Piracy all the more chaotic by spanning not just under and above water, but the very sky itself.
Behind all this chaos though, persists rumors of a vast treasure left behind by Proteon himself. An odd doppleganger to the famous One Piece, Sol as it has come to be called is not necessarily a treasure of wealth or sentimentality, but supposedly the pinnacle of power, said to hold untold strength to control the air in the same way that similar objects, Pluton and Poseidon can control the seas. Something of incalculable promise attracts more than just the imaginings of ambitious pirates, both blue sea and sky.
Through and through it all, between the violent conflict between factions, rampant piracy, and heavy marine intervention, life continues and the people manage to get by. Of course whether it's the lowliest peasant or the mightiest warlord, all who come to these parts are plagued by the one important, unknowable question; Who is Ashfall?
This one. Also, I sounded really pretentious there. Sorry. And coaksing is not a word. Haha.

No it's fine I welcome criticism.
But uh... you just reposted the sky one, and it's a second one to boot. Did you mean something else?

I actually really liked that first one, I think, depends on which first one you're talking about. Mainly because I can think of all the things you could do with a setup like that. However, it might not be the best idea for an RPG, per se, if that makes any sense. I don't know, just seems like a plot that would be better suited for a short story or novel or something, but maybe I'm over thinking things.
Though RPG storylines really aren't what I'm used to writing, so you can just ignore me.

[SPOILERS]1. A country wracked by bloody civil war, it was not until a play for power for said country involving Government aid and intervention, was the bloodshed stemmed. Despite the scale and destruction of the conflict, the country now only a short while after has made a miraculous turnaround for the better under the direction of it's new strange but brilliant leader, becoming a veritable shining beacon of progress, prosperity, and freedom. In order to celebrate this glorious reversal of fortunes, the country has opened it's doors and planned a grand showcase, inviting all manner of delegates, high ranking officials, royalty, and even celebrities from all over the world to the event with the intention of reestablishing itself as a primary member and contributor of world order.[/SPOILERS] This one, tee hee.

Well that was the one where it was supposed to be the Government meeting, and Solaine and Joe would go together, get trapped, and have to find a way to escape. You know, that one we talked about. The one you seemed to like so much. The one that would take place over the side thread AND the main RP.
That one.
But if it's a bad idea, well then we can just ignore it altogether.

I had no idea. Hmmm... well, knowing that it already sounds a lot better. The pitch was off so I wasn't interested, I suppose (though I haven't been the most effective communicator here).
I'm just saying the actual crew needs a better incentive to go to the island instead of the promise of seeing beauty and treasure. They are pirates but they would really really need to want to go there. I just that was the only problem I was seeing. You've always been great at making arcs; it's getting to the island that I was concerned about.

Believe you me, the more that gets revealed of it, the more people will want to play. I'm fairly sure of that.
I can't just have Kalen out and reveal everything for no reason though, ruins the build-up, I'm sure you understand. He's already mentioned a little bit so far though, to Kusu at least.
