Over two months had passed since a freelancer mage, who calls himself 'Jupiter' made contact with a newly found magic guild 'Renaissance' and truth to be told that event did not have any lasting impact on Jupiter, in fact he had mostly forgotten about it and continued on his life as an underpaid mage, taking any jobs he could find. Today Jupiter found himself walking through the same town once again. He didn't have any specific reason to be here, he was just passing by and on his route he saw a cliff. Last time the delinquent mage saw that cliff a man raised a house using some very unusual magic, even though that event wasn't very fresh on Jupiter's mind anymore, as stated earlier. Once again as he glanced upon the cliff the freelancer mage saw something very peculiar; a house covered in ice. It might not have been the warmest day of the year today, but this certainly wasn't natural. ”Oh, cool...” After staring at the frozen guild house from a distance for a minute or two the delinquent decided to take a closer look, just out of curiosity. ”What the hell is going on in here? What's with all the ice?” Jupiter casually asked from the people gathered in front of the frozen building. He didn't pay much attention to what they were talking about before he showed up; something about saving the world, maybe? ”What's with this guy?!” It wasn't that easy to tell, with the big sunglasses covering a lot of Jupiter's face, but Dofun still made him feel very uneasy. ”Where have I seen this... thing... before? Must've been in nightmares...” The other people present, didn't ring any bells to the delinquent, he couldn't recall them at all.

Samson welcomed the gathering mages with open arms. There was Alden, Qi, Dofun, and now Jupiter had appeared.
He first answered Alden's question about how he knew what the girl said and how all of this was happening.
"Fair question, Alden. I expect all of you, Dofun, Jupiter, Qi, you all wish an answer. Ah, you see, I even know all of your names. It only makes sense that I should reveal my secret if I am to accompany you to the land you seek. Watch closely, mages."
Samson stretched his arms out on either side of him as far as he could, his hands flattened, palms up.
A bright yellow glow, like glints on the surface of a lake, seemed to swirl around his palms, traveling up his arms and into his body. He closed his eyes, took in a deep breath, then exhaled and lowered his arms.
"Alden, you are unsure if you travel with the masked one. Dofun, you seem more interested in Qi's ideas than the journey at hand. Qi, Snake is keeping the truth about what happened to this guild a secret from you, you should know. And Jupiter, I can see you recognize, even as if a distant memory, that something is going on here, correct?"
He smiled and paused before continuing. "I have the magic of the sun's wisdom, you see. Anything the sun shines down upon, I can see. Your actions and abilities, even your memories and thoughts I can delve into. All of this, I can know in an instant."
He then shrugged. "However, it my old age, I have lost this magical power. Now, I can only see all that is going on around me to roughly a hundred feet in any direction. Once, I could view half the world, but no more. And let me tell you, I once viewed Fable at the top of its glory, and it would be a shame to let the guild fall. So, let me take you to where we need to go."
---
Astral Lance listened to what Pollux had to say. When he was finished, he answered.
"It may be hard to face this again, especially after what happened to... him. But as I said, if we do not wish that to happen again, I think it calls for our attention. And even if its not, even if we're feeling the wrong thing, it wouldn't hurt to check it out. If you didn't realize, that ice spike is coming from where Fable stands."
When Pollux brought up Asmoday, Astral Lance looked into the darkness of the cave. "That... I do not know. But I know she is alive, somewhere, in some kind of form. She was the reason we are who we are today. She was the one who created the Oracion Seis and made us a part of it, the strongest part. I don't know about you, but I'm still looking for her. I've worked my way to the top of the Magical Council, and even now, there is no sign of her."
He looked back at Pollux. "But I'll find her one day. I'll make sure she returns."

Qi indeed did watch closely. She became frightened when Samson used his magic, having never seen anything like it before. His glowing skin reminded her of an old lamp, dull in light but still incredibly useful for guidance in dark places. The demonstration of his power brought on much more than she could have possibly imagined, however.
"Snake," she asked slowly, "have you and Horse really not told me the truth?"
"Master, we've never lied," her summon responded nervously. "We've been told to reveal information to you when you're ready."
"Then I command you, tell us everything you know."
"I'm sorry. I've been ordered not to, even if you ask."
"By who? Why?"
Despite her pleas, Snake wouldn't answer. Instead, the slender woman frowned and looked away.
Qi looked paralyzed. She never had a summon disobey her before. For all this time, she thought they were going on this journey with her, learning and growing as she did. But they knew so much more than she ever thought.
"I should go before this man sees anymore," Snake warned, glancing at Samson. "I know it's hard but what I know would hurt not only the dignity of the lost members of Fable but so much more. You and the others can't know it. At least not yet."
Although she could leave on her own, she looked to Qi to make the decision, likely trying to give her some control in the matter. The summoner merely leaned on her staff and tried again to analyze the situation in a quick attempt to ignore the hurt she felt against Snake.
This Samson and Jupiter suddenly arrived when things were looking all too suspicious. Not having seen Jupiter on that fateful day, she considered him to be possibly just as guilty for the mysterious mage's death inside of the guild house. Why on what could be the worst day of Renascence would these two randomly show up? Were they in cahoots?
"Can you guarantee they will come back with you?" Qi asked, assuming still she would be staying behind. "I mean, how can we be sure if this is safe? Would it even be worth the risk?"
Although she had only known them for a few short weeks, she had grown particularly fond of Alden and Dofun. Worrying about them going a worthless journey where they could possibly die was the last thing she wanted to think about.
---
Pollux nodded. He knew it was Fable, but he didn't particularly care. The guild on the cliff face would never be the same as it once was. If the mages were to suddenly die there, he wouldn't really care.
At the answer of Asmoday's whereabouts, he sighed. It wasn't reminiscent or sad, but rather Pollux seemed frustrated.
"That's fantastic," he said coldly, "but what would that accomplish?"
Twirling his staff once, he nearly smirked at Astral Lance.
"I mean, unless you really genuinely missed her presence, I can't see any benefit to seeking her out again. I used to be enamored with her, but after what happened, I can't see her as anything more than distant regret."
Whatever Pollux was doing in this time, it certainly was changing him. He seemed delusional, delirious even.

"Eeesh, that's creepy. You don't bother to ask people for permission before just invading their memories? Lovely."
Alden had a look of revulsion as he responded to the stranger. Just another thing he didn't like about mages, they viewed their abilities nonchalantly and just passed them off as though they were no big deal, when oftentimes they were a very big deal. Of course he realized that Samson could probably know that he was thinking this, at which point he wondered why even bother caring anymore, and in fact hoped that the stranger now knew of Alden's dislike of him.
"I can guarantee we're coming back. It probably isn't safe, but it's definitely worth the risk. Besides, even if it is a trap and turns out to be nothing, we're- I'm not dumb enough to fall into a trap. If they think they can do to us what they did to Atrum, I have a thing or two to share with them on that matter."
Alden hoisted his rifle over his shoulder, before turning to Samson and the others poised to depart.
"So then, North it is?"

"Oh...that's really neat magic! Hey, did you know I can mimic magic? Oh, that's a good idea, I could just mimic yours right now and go into everyone's...Hm. Huh. Erm. No, on second thought, that's not a good idea, that would take all the fun out of learning things about people. Never mind~"
Dofun was impressed by Samson's great power, and thought of using it himself. In theory, he could look into the minds and memories of everyone present. He thought better on it though when he realized that such an act was kind of like cheating when it came to knowing people. At Samson's offer for everyone to go, Dofun jumped up and down, clapping in glee. "Hooray, hooray, hooray! A quest, an adventure, a perilous journey full of fun and wonder! Oh, how exciting! And oh, hello there, Jupiter! I never forget a face! Did you show up just to come with us on this mission, for the good of all Renasance-related things? How nice of you, thanks! I might even bake some cookies for all of us once we're done - be careful though, I tend to get sugar and rat poison mixed up, if you can believe it, heh heh heh..."
So, off they were on a new journey, another fantastic chapter in their lives! No doubt it would be an epic truly worthy of -
"Oh wait! Qi, I just realized something. I can use Samson's magic to look into the thoughts and memories of your secretive friends there! Would you like me to do that before we go? After all, you seem so distraught - ooh, what a big word for me - yes, distraught at their hiding things away from you. Would you like to cheat and see what they'e hiding?" He seemed almost gleeful at the thought of knowing all of the secrets that were being kept.

Jupiter was surprised as this man, clearly the oldest in the group gathered here, knew his name; well more like his nickname as Jupiter wasn't his real name, but that's what everyone referred to him as. "What is this guy talking about?" The punk was very confused when the man supposedly read his mind and told him about it, but he things he said didn't make much sense to Jupiter. Soon the delinquent realized that no one was going to answer his question, in fact the people here just talked about things that, outside the context, made no sense for him and in the end he got mostly ignored. The one that did speak directly to Jupiter was the ever so scary devil in the clown suit and what he said really did not make much sense either, not that he listened to it very closely, the clown made him feel too uneasy to do so. "This is all so confusing, dammit!"

Samson chuckled at Jupiter. "This Guild is in danger of being destroyed, and not only that, but every other Guild in the world as well. Every mage is in danger. So, if you care about this place, or even if you just feel like going on a little adventure, or have nothing better to do, you should tag along."
While everyone else finished whatever conversations or conflicts they had, Samson began leading the group forward. For hours, they traveled out of town and along an old forgotten pathway. The air would soon grow cold and trees would look dead, leafless. Dark snow clouds began forming overhead.
After a few hours of walking, Samson stopped, leaning against a nearby tree. Breathing heavily, he turned to look at the group which followed him. He wiped the sweat off his brow and sunk down onto the ground. "In my old age, I do not have the stamina I used to. I think it is best that we rest here for tonight. Tomorrow we shall continue- WATCH OUT!"
Suddenly, appearing out of the shrubbery and mist surrounding the group, two huge, floating snow flakes appeared. They hovered a few feet over the ground and rocked back and forth. Approaching one, you'd feel an icy chill.
"Those are glacier spirits! They may not look like much, but they're strong, so be careful! They appearance is proof that we're getting closer to that ancient city. These spirits are the guardians of that mountain pass. If I was strong enough, I would assist, but I cannot, so you must stop them!"
Immediately, the two snowflakes began charging at the group. One went straight to Alden, the other towards Dofun and Jupiter. If they managed to get too close and touch them, the mages would immediately be plunged to negative temperatures and if they didn't keep their distance, would freeze to death in seconds.
---
Astral Lance looked at Pollux in disbelief. "I've lived these last five years hoping I could find her. I worked my way up to the top of the world! She... was the only one who really helped me. Where did you think I learned this lightning magic?" He held his hands up and small bolts of electricity arced between them.
"I don't know about you, but I think we owe her something than just to abandon her wherever she is. If you remember, Fable killed her brother, Asmodeus, and if it is the last thing I do, I'll find her and do what I can to repay her."
Even though ill will was starting up between the two mages, Astral Lance turned back to the sky. "Well, whatever, we should get going. Whatever happening now is one thing we still have in common."
---
Elsewhere, far north, in the back of a horse driven wagon, in a certain mountain pass, Elrond slowly began opening his eyes. He stretched and gave a big yawn. He sat up, realizing he was in a tarp covered cart. He pulled back the tarp and looked out to see snow everywhere and huge spiking mountains. Looking towards the front of the wagon, in the two front seats, sat a younger looking girl and an older man.
Just what was going on? The last thing he remembered was talking to that Astral Lance guy before everything suddenly went black.
"So, you're awake."
Elrond spun around to see a woman he didn't notice before sitting across from him.
"About time," said the girl. "Atrum put some kind of crazy magic on you to cause you to sleep that long. But whatever, it's worn off now and we have you."
Elrond, now starting to be alarmed, tensed up. "Who are you? What is this place? What's going on here? Where am I?"
"Me? You know me. We've met before a long time ago, remember?"
Elrond squinted his eyes, then gasped. "You're that girl who tried to destroy my Guild! You're--!"
"Sarah," said Sarah, grinning.

Qi regretted telling Dofun not to read Snake's mind.
It was a tough decision. She felt like knowing what secrets Snake was keeping from them would help the others avoid a potential trap. But the look on Snake's face when Dofun brought up the option was too much for Qi to ever consider it. Could she trust her summons? She had only known them for a few months now. What if they were just using her this whole time? It would make sense, considering how Janus, Monkey she corrected herself, was so destructive and violent.
Now all alone in her small tent outside of the frozen guild, she wasn't sure what to think. She kept her summons away so she wouldn't get mad at them. Not even Horse's derpy face could make her smile presently. She laid her head on a pillow and closed her eyes for a few seconds, wondering if it would be wrong for her to sleep on the job.
She thought of Elrond, suddenly disappearing as quick as he had. Maybe he would suddenly appear again, right in front of her while she was having tea. They could have tea together and ride Horse into the sunset, telling all the others they could come back from their journey. Jupiter and Samson could join their guild. Dofun would tell a dramatic version of the adventure and Alden could do whatever he did in his spare time.
All in all, she could only dream.

The trek into the mountains was more or less uneventful, beyond the obvious change in scenery. Most of the way, Alden payed more attention to the surrounding landscape rather than those with him, in case they all needed a quick way to escape.
"Don't worry old man, we'll see if we can't handle this."
The sudden emergence of the frozen dangers was certainly a surprise, but not something unexpected given their surroundings. Back home in Desierto they didn't even really have mountains let alone snow, but Alden had seen his share of snow in his travels and climbed a mountain or two. Places of extreme climates with latent magic tended to draw or even create these sorts of beings. Thankfully, the group (or at least Alden) had prepared for the cold. Of course these entities were something else altogether, but they had their magic or combat skills for that.
Quickly drawing his sword, Alden hefted it back over his head and swung it forward in one motion, hurling it right towards the approaching glacier spirit. With the opening welcome out of the way, he grabbed for the shield on his back with one hand and the small bottle around his neck with the other. Holding the shield up he tried to back away from the threat while shaking the bottle with his free hand.

Well, the clown was rather surprised at the sight of two giant snowflakes coming to fight them, but it wasn't an unpleasant shock. Already the story was becoming fantastical! It would truly make for a great story, nay, a play when they got back. Yes, he would make a play of it, a grand play in which he would be narrator, hero, and villain! Yes, that would certainly do to release some tension after all of the work was done.
"...Hm. No real magic that I can imitate from. Shame. Oh well, we'll just have to do this the hard way!"
When the snowflake sped towards him and Jupiter, Dofun readied his giant hammer, prepared to deal a massive blow like a baseball player ready to make a home run, and swung at the snowflake when it got close enough, intending to either smash it or do some damage or something. He did notice that when the snowflake got close enough for him to hit it, he got colder than he had ever been before. And yet his attack forced him to be close to the target...ooh, this was going to give him a bit of frostbite if the snowflake wasn't moved by his blow.

After listening to Samson's explanation of the situation Jupiter he felt like he understood the situation better, even if just a little bit. At first the delinquent mage wasn't quite sure what to do as he was invited to join their group. Jupiter wasn't naïve, he felt that there this Samson was hiding something, even still saving the world might be a good way to pass time, not like he had anything better to do for the evening. All he needed to do was to stay careful and it should be okay. ”...Fine, I'll tag along.”
During the journey to north Jupiter was very stoic and tried to keep his distance from the others. Despite trying to be very distant it was actually very easy to get a response out of him if someone or something were to annoy him it was very easy to get a response out of Jupiter. He had a very short temper. ”What the...?” Jupiter was surprised as the spirits made their appearance and one of them moved towards him and the horrifying devil clown. The clown complained something about not having magic available and then tried to use his hammer to hit the spirit. Jupiter felt that he didn't really need to do anything right now. If this clown was even half as strong as he was scary the spirit's fate has already been sealed.

The snowflakes charged at full speed, whizzing through the air and leaving a trail of small ice particles behind them.
The first snowflake attacked Aldren. Tilting forward slightly, the pattern the snowflake was made of began to morph so that its top turned into a ice trident! Regardless, Alden's sword slash was enough to cut off the tip of the trident, but immediately after, it formed another in its place.
Now it was getting closer and closer to Alden. Flying through the air and top speed, it would crash hard into Alden's shield if nothing stopped him.
Dofun seemed to have his own troubles. As the snowflake spirit got closer, the clown could feel the sting of the cold. Fighting through it, however, his giant hammer was enough to push back the snowflake and it went tumbling through the air like a helicopter out of control. It quickly regained control, however, and stomped on the ground a few times, as if it were angry.
Then, from the center of the snowflake, a light began to form. A ice glowing snowball then shot out of the snowflake, flying straight towards Jupiter. While the dangerous freezing snowball went towards Jupiter, the snowfalke returned to charge on Dofun, turning its edges into sharp spikes.
Samson watched on in amazement, a small smile on his face.
---
Elrond struggled to free himself, but the chains tied tightly around his body immobilized him. Sitting in the front seat of the horse driven wagon was the young girl Atrum, and across from her was Mikas, the Guild Master of the Atrum Gruild.
However, Elrond couldn't get a good look at them. Sarah was blocking the way. She was sitting in a small stool with her feet propped up on Elrond, smiling down at him.
"Let me out of here!" yelled Elrond. "I need to get back to my Guild!"
"Your guild is gone," said Sarah, smirking. "And the rest of your mages are as well. We decimated it right after kidnapping you. And they're just the first. Many more guilds will follow your guild's fate. We'll destroy them all."
"Why? Who are you people and what do you want with me!?"
"You're a lot more than you give yourself credit for. But honestly, if it weren't for you being the great grandson of Validus, we would have let you die with the rest of your guild. But we know what you have inside you. A power that is vital to our plan."
"I don't care about your plan!" Suddenly, Sarah kicked Elrond in the face.
"You'll learn to keep your mouth shut until we need you to speak. This is the reality now, Elrond. This world will become our world, and you will help us achieve that."
Elrond clenched his teeth tightly, desperately trying to think of a way to escape. Usually, a few iron chains wouldn't be enough to keep him restrained, because he could break through iron pretty easily. But this iron was different. It was almost as if it wasn't there, but instead, just representing an invisible force far greater than iron.
Sarah peeked up front to the two other mages and asked, "Are we getting close."
The Guild Master, Mikas, turned his head slightly to look at Sarah. His cold, deadly stare, his dull yellow eyes, seemed so ominous. "In time, Sarah. Be patient. The ancient city will come into view soon enough."
"Good, because I'm getting tired of babysitting this shrimp in the back! All he does is yell--"
Suddenly, Atrum, the young girl, cut her off. "You didn't do your job."
Mikas and Sarah looked at her curiously, raising their eyebrows. "What did you say?" they both asked in unison.
Atrum's cold eyes, half closed, seemed to slightly twitch. "You didn't do your job, Sarah. I can sense them now. They're magical auras are strong and alive. The mages of Renascence live."
"Hah, I knew you couldn't stop them!" yelled Elrond from the back, laughing, to which Sarah responded with another kick to his face.
"What do you mean they're alive? I thought I fooled them perfectly! You even used your illusion magic to create all that ice. How did they live through that!?"
"It was your job to keep them inside the Guild," responded Atrum, her voice sounding slightly irritated.
"You fool!" shouted Mikas, pushing Sarah back into the back of the wagon. He then pulled out a deck of cards from his right pocket and slid them across his fingers, searching for one in particular. He finally found it and drew the card. "I guess there is no choice now. I am sure they're tracking us, wanting to get their Guild Master back. Regardless, we can't allow them to interfere with my plans."
He tossed the card off the side of the wagon and the wind picked it up, blowing it away. Suddenly, the card began to glow brightly. After the light began to dim, a figure could be seen. It was a huge, hulking man with scars covering most of his body.
"Cruckus," called Mikas as the wagon continued through the snowy path. "I draw you now. Go and stop those mages, even if it costs you your life. Understand? Go!"
Cruckus grinned, flexing his muscles. "Oh, these mages again? Haha, I've had experience with them! Do not worry, Guild Master Mikas. They'll be dust by the time I return to you!"
With that, Cruckus began running back down the pathway at full speed. It would take him a while, but his goal was clear: Dofun, Alden, and Jupiter.
As Cruckus vanished in the misty snow behind the wagon, Mikas turned his attention to Atrum. "My young Atrum, what else do you sense?"
Atrum's eyes began quickering slightly, then stopped. "The four mages following us are not the only ones. There seems to be one more, a young girl, who is still at the Guild."
"Is that so? Well, if she managed to survive that Guild freezing over, perhaps she could indeed be some use to me. Go fetch her. I shall manage the cart and keep an eye on the idiot Sarah and the prisoner Elrond while you are away."
"As you say," responded Atrum. "The girl will be mine." She closed her eyes, and then was gone.
Elrond, who heard everything that was going on, yelled from the back of the cart, "The girl!? There's only one girl! Are you talking about Qi? I won't let you hurt her! You hear me!?"
"Don't talk to Guild Master like that, shrimp!" yelled Sarah, stepping on his face. "You have no right to talk to him!" Feeling somewhat down, however, Sarah peeked into the front of the wagon again, saying in a small voice, "My deepest apologies, Master. I was sure I killed all of those mages."
"I wish not to hear your apologies, Sarah. Do your job next time, or else I'll make sure you go straight to the discard pile and never return." With that said, Mikas pulled out a blank card for his deck and twisted it in her fingers.
Sarah frowned deeply, her eyes wide with fear, and she sunk back into the wagon. Crossing her arms and narrowing her eyes, she kicked Elrond again, just to get out her pain.
---
Back at the frozen Renascence Guild, Qi was alone sitting inside a tent. It seemed her thoughts were on Elrond and if he would suddenly pop back up. Well, someone popped up right in front of her, but it wasn't who she was hoping for.
A young looking, skinny pale girl stood right in front of Qi. She wore a long purple coat that covered most of her body. Her black hair was long and her bangs were too, almost covering up her eyes. A frown set firmly on her face. It was Atrum.
"You are the survivor," muttered Atrum. "Mikas has requested you, so if you come with me, that would be acceptable." She reached out a cold, dead looking hand to Qi, waiting for her response.
---
Not very far away, two more mages were approaching the frozen Renascence Guild. Astral Lance and Pollux had ran through the forest and town to the spot where they had seen the ice pillar pierce the sky.
"That's the Guild," muttered Astral Lance. "Must bring up some memories for you, Pollux, seeing it again. I've been inside, and I gotta say, it hasn't changed at all."
But they weren't here for sightseeing. They were here to see where the source of this dreadful magic, a magic that reminded them both of the far past, was originating.
Little did either know that Atrum and Qi were just a short walk up the path leading to the frozen Guild.

Qi squeaked, sitting straight up as she was awakened by Atrum. She hadn't seen her suddenly appear so she immediately assumed she had walked in. She laughed nervously.
"Oh, I'm no survivor of anything, unless you count falling out of my bedroom window when I was little but that's nothing. I'm just keeping watch over our frozen guild until my friends get back with our guild master."
Instead of offering her hand to Atrum, she presented a porcelain cup.
"You've must have traveled a long way to get here. Sit down and let me make you some tea. I take a message for you for later."
Getting a better look at her, Qi finally recognized Atrum. She remembered the hair in particular being very beautiful. This woman was the first thing she woke up to when Horse first brought her to Renascence.
And, according to the others, this person (unbeknownst to Qi, actually the guild of the same name) was just who that girl was trying to escape from before she died horribly.
The realization twisted Qi's calm demeanor into one of fear. She tried her best to maintain her composure but she couldn't stop herself from shaking.
What would the others want her to do? Go along calmly in the faint hope that she might find Elrond? Fight back and get information that way? Run? One of her golden keys began to flow fiercely on the mangled and poorly fixed staff in her hands as she stared back at Atrum.
"Who did you say this Mikas was looking for again?"
---
"It sure brings memories," Pollux confirmed to Lance. "I'm glad you saw to the guild. I'm not sure I would have been able to handle going inside myself."
After catching his breath, he put on a pair of glasses. A hundred years ago, the ice mage never wore glasses, choosing to deal with his near sightedness rather than rely on spectacles.
"This isn't the kind of magic I use," he observed. "We should get a closer look. Whoever did this is using a technique I'm unfamiliar with."
After all, he knew what his magic could do to objects and buildings. Cringing, he remembered using it to kill one particular mage outside of the guild walls. If he hadn't had done that, his brother wouldn't have exposed his magic. Perhaps things would have been much different.
Seeing a small tent set up in front of the building, a look of surprise came over Pollux's face.
"Huh. Looks like this new guild is really like the old Fable after all. They didn't abandon it, even after it was frozen like this. But where are the others?"
He wasn't aware of what was going on inside.

"Huh... though that would have worke- gah!"
At first Alden felt rather accomplished to see the effect of his attack on the snowflake, however any such feelings were gone by the time it reformed into a weapon. He had barely any chance to do anything, and with that chance he raised his shield. The attack alone was enough to unbalance him, but the sheer cold flash froze the shield and his arm, and within a matter of seconds the very wood shattered from the drop in temperature. So sudden and forceful, Alden was knocked off his feet and sent sliding back through the snow a ways.
Shit, anything more would be a death sentence...
He tried to move his arm but couldn't feel it, and he wasn't sure yet if it was from the shock of the attack, or from the freezing spread of the entity. He didn't bother to get to his feet though, and instead brought his good hand up, the one holding the bottle. It was a small thing, but already from a distance it looked like a hurricane was brewing inside. With his other hand out of commission, the mage hunter raised the bottle up and undid the cork with his mouth. Not a second later and a torrent of water blasted forth, which he directed towards the snowflake which had attacked him. With the force of a fire hose, he wasn't sure if the attack would work. Chances were, it would just freeze all the water. But it was worth trying, to see if he could end up encasing the ice entity within the very substance it was made of. Was it possible though, that the thing could just control any and all ice regardless, or was it confined to its own shape and form?

"Brrrr! Chilly! Although really, I don't know what I expected. Oh?"
He was about to congratulate himself on his amazing hit on the snowflake when the mass of ice started to stomp on the floor. What was more interesting however, was the snowball it shot at Jupiter.
"Ohhhhh...Magic. Eh heh heh heh heh."
Something else then caught his eye and he saw Alden do some sort of water magic item object thi - oh, never mind, blah blah blah, magic! He supposed the water would do better than throwing snowballs at the snowfla - wait a second.
Water...against ice? What? How in the world was that going to help?
Not equipped with the superior logic of Alden, he shook his head at the mage hunter's silly antics and looked back at the snowflake coming towards him, sharper now, and grinned underneath his already beaming mask.
"Hey, batter batter batter! If you get an upgrade, I get an upgrade! Time for some mimic magic!"
Spike suddenly stuck out all around on the hammer, with one larger spike on each end. With a yell of effort, he swung the hammer again in an attempt to utterly demolish his foe.
