OOC: It was Aiko that used Quick Attack, not Queen.
Gray grinned at Aiko and crouched next to her, scratching behind her ear.
"You did well. These two were no pushovers." He turned to Queen. "You too, Queenie."
Looking at the two fallen Pokémon, his eyes softened. He placed his backpack onto the ground and rummaged through it, pulling out a small bag. He placed it on the ground next to them and opened it. Inside was an assortment of Leppa, Oran, Sitrus and Figy Berries. He smiled at them.
"It's not your fault your masters are idiots. Eat up, you need it. I hope you'll find better masters, one day." Standing up, he followed his companions.
As they left the tunnel, his eyes narrowed at the Slowking and after hearing it, he cursed.
"Of course, it's never that easy...."

After running around like a headless chicken for a moment Pokemon trainer Jonathan calmed down as the quakes stopped and then took another look at his Swampert. He quickly noticed that the hairy pig Pokemon he had seen earlier was now on it's back. The Swampert itself did not seem to care about this in the slightest, in fact it was busy picking it's nose.
"What kind of trainer am I?" Jonathan repeated the question asked by ms. Lo. "I am a future champion. Yes. That's what I am." He announced very boldly, especially for someone who knew nothing about Pokemon.
Then the rich boy watched as a Seviper wrapped around the hairy pig. Jonathan felt quite bad for the little, hairy guy and wanted to help it. And the only way to do that was to defeat the Team Rocket secretary. The Swampert got hit by the Murkrow's wing attack head on, in fact it really didn't seem to even bother blocking or dodging it. The impact forced the water/ground Pokemon to take a few steps back, but ultimately it didn't seem like it hurt or even bothered it a whole lot. Around this time a young boy around the same age as Jonathan himself walked past him, but both of them decided to mostly ignore each other.
"What types are good against flying?" Jonathan wondered. And then it hit him, ice was super effective. "Swampert, use Ice Punch." The young trainer seemed a bit more competent than before, but it all fell flat very quickly. The Swampert did not listen and instead seemed to just sit down and keep on picking it's nose.
"..." Jonathan didn't know what to say.

"Hah! We did it!" Paola said proudly with her hands on her hip. "And it was all thanks to my Trickster!"
Trickster, said Haunter, flew over to Paola and laughed victoriously. She high fived it and winced at the burn on her arm. It did not need immediate medical attention but she knew it likely would leave a scar. This day was going terribly, not unlike other days.
She glanced over at Annabeth and Delric.
"One Riolu is not worth all this effort," she muttered. "I better find some Koffing and Ekans to er... acquire."
Eventually, the group came upon a new environment. The Gym Leader wasn't really expecting this sort of situation.
"Who brought us to the moon," Paola said to herself in regard to the flowery field.
She noticed the Slowking and laughed, nudging her poor tired Trubbish with her leg.
"Trap? This isn't a trap. This is a field of pansies. I haven't heard a talking Pokemon before but I'm disappointed it had to be you, you Psychic brat. I'm sure there are plenty of smarter ones than you who don't talk. Like, I bet you couldn't even beat this bag of garbage in a spelling bee!"
The Trubbish looked up at Paola nervously. It seemed even it knew there was more to this flower field than met the eye.

After exerting herself quite a bit putting out the flames on her body, which had by now burned her in several places, Randy’L panted a bit as she tried to get her breath back. Looking up, she saw that Hope, along with the other pokemon had already defeated the two enemy pokemon, and so nodded silently, still too winded to speak. Kneeling down however, she held out her arms, signaling Hope to come and jump into them, which the tiny pokemon did after her Secret Power faded.
Then, though, Hope remembered something, and squirmed her way out of Randy’L’s grip, hopping down and prancing over to Tribbers, whom she had been helping with the bags before this all began. She had now decided to resume that duty, and apparently had taken a liking to Trubbers, apparently seeing something in him that Paola at least didn’t.
Soon after they began moving again however, they came upon what looked like a field of tulips. As she looked around, Randy’L’s eyes narrowed. She knew they had been heading towards Mt. Moon, and that the Rocket would choose this place to begin tunneling from was baffling if not suspicious. When she saw the Slowking however it all made sense. She called out to her comrades, “Don’t believe anything he says or anything you see. We’re inside a psychically produced illusion.”
Randy’L glanced down at her feet towards Hope, who was looking with a pout on her face at the Slowking, preparing herself to fight him, but Randy’L signaled the young Togepi to wait by putting her foot in the way, then shaking her head. A Slowking was a powerful opponent, and although Hope had some Psychic powers herself, they weren’t nearly on the level of a true psychic pokemon, especially one as strong as a Slowking. Randy’L knew that Atlas would be following them down the tunnel by now, but even when he got here, being as he was a Fighting type, there probably wasn’t going to be much he could do either.
Still, despite her warnings, Hope was now trying to fight the Slowking anyway, albeit in a subtle fashion. This was evidenced by her eyes glowing blue, which showed that she was using her Future Sight ability again to try and both predict the immediate future, perhaps even to be able to see through the illusion, as well as to project a delayed attack into it as well, one which would strike the Slowking very, very hard given that this battle lasted long enough for the prediction to come to pass, instead of ending early like the last one did. ------------------- In actuality, Thrym had never jumped off of Swampert after using its back as a resting spot, instead choosing to stay there, since he was exhausted and lacked the energy to defend himself. Perhaps being as both he and the Swampert were Ground-type pokemon, Swampert might feel some motivation to defend him out of camaraderie or something. Still, the large Seviper, which then attacked him, wrapping around his body and squeezing him, something that in his condition he didn’t have the strength to avoid, the little Swinub winced as he felt the Seviper’s hold tighten.
Now, while having a very small pokemon like a Swinub on his back might not have bothered the Swampert, the weight of a pretty large one like a Seviper most likely would. Still, not trusting enough of this pokemon to put his faith in it, Thrym tried to think of a way to get out of this. Stealth Rock wouldn’t help him, he couldn’t use Dig both because he was on Swampert’s back and because Seviper was holding him, and he was already far too exhausted to use Superpower again, which meant that Thrym really had only one option left. And so, puffing up his cheeks, he blew cold air around in his mouth again, once again generating a pair of enlarged ice tusks on his face. Using these to jab into the Seviper’s body, which would most likely be very, very painful.
For those who didn’t know, the move Icicle Crash was actually the second strongest of all Physical Ice-Type moves, being second only to Freeze Shock, a move which currently, no known Pokemon could use. In addition, members of the Swinub line do not know Icicle Crash naturally, and can only learn it as an inherited Egg Move. In Thrym’s case, he inherited it from his father, a Beartic. This made Thrym a moderately rare pokemon, and if nothing else, a very, very top tier Swinub. In addition, since it was discovered in the Sinnoh region that Piloswines were capable of further evolving into the powerhouse Mamoswine, Thrym could therefore be said to have the potential to be among the strongest of any Ice-type pokemon anywhere, as very few other Ice Pokemon could compete with one, baring the legendary ones of course [Walrein, Abomasnow, Weavile, Froslass, and Beartic would be its most major competitors for that position].
Surely if Lo considered herself worthy of the name Rocket then she would recognize that Thrym was a Swinub worth…swiping, and since he was visibly exhausted after having overused Superpower, it probably wouldn’t be that difficult unless he received some sort of help from either Jonathan’s Swampert, one of his other pokemon, one of Lucas’, or let alone, the other trainers if they ever managed to show up some time very soon.

Delric couldn't believe his eyes at what he was seeing. It was an endless field of flowers, an empty blue sky above, and no sign of any Team Rocket member. Spinning around, he noticed the cave had vanished as well. It was as if they had been completely teleported to a different place in the world, but he couldn't believe it.
Delric's Espeon was looking around suspiciously, as if she already figured out what was going on, and Randy'L had discovered the truth as well, for she immediately warned the others.
Annabeth looked devastated. She shook her head, tears forming in her eyes. "We can't do this!" she yelled out at the Slowking. "I have to find my Salamence! I can't lose it again!"
In a fit of rage, she ran straight towards the Slowking, but she slammed into an invisible wall and fell backwards, her nose bleeding. She kicked at the forcefield over and over, but to no avail. "Why are you doing this?"
The Slowking looked down at Annabeth, almost with a look of empathy on his face. He shook his head, then looked up at all the trainers before him. "There is no need to attack," it said, still in its somewhat sleepish voice. "I am not here to do you harm. I am here to save you and your Pokemon."
Slowking lifted up his hand, and an image, like a hologram, appeared in the air. It was an image of a man's face, but he was wearing a cloak and most of his face was hiding in shadow. A deep frown was on the man's face. "This is my trainer, and his name is Pierce. He doesn't want to cause anyone harm, he only wants to make them better."
The image vanished, and Slowking looked at Randy'L. "Like your Togepi." He then turned to Gray. "And your Servine. All of these Pokemon have potential far beyond what a trainer can do on their own."
Slowking then raised its hand again, and another figure was shown. It was Lucas, and he was running through the Team Rocket base. "One of your own has come to realize this himself. He has given into Pierce's philosophy. He knows what is right for his Pokemon. The same can be done for you."
The image then flickered away as Lucas opened a doorway. Slowking then looked at all the Trainers before him. "Pledge yourself and your Pokemon to Pierce, and you will be freed from this illusion. Otherwise, you will be abandoned here forever."
---
Lo was surprised to see the small Swinub use another powerful attack. She didn't know the origins of this Pokemon, but she did know that it was something interesting. It didn't matter to her if the Pokemon was owned or wild, she planned on capturing it herself.
What was even more sickening was that while she pondered capturing the Swinub, she didn't even care that her Seviper was just stabbed by the ice. She lazily threw a Pokeball to call Seviper back, then manually toss a net with heavy weights on the ends to capture the Swinub. It already looked awfully beat up, so she was confident it wouldn't be going anywhere, but to be safe, she called in a few more Rocket Grunts, all of which stood around the Swinub with their Pokemon ready.
As for Jonathan, she was starting to see this as a joke. Sure, he had some of the stronger Pokemon around, but they just weren't listening to him. She called out to him: "You're a prime example of what my Master is trying to rid of. Trainers who put their Pokemon to waste. Give up now, and perhaps Master will talk with you later. Think, boy, use your brain. You're surrounded by Team Rocket. You don't have a chance."
A few other Rocket Grunts appeared, each with handcuffs in their hands, ready to take Jonathan in, if he allowed it.
---
Lucas opened the door, and this is what he would see:
It was a very regular looking office, but it was filled with candles everywhere. Shelves upon shelves had candles all around. Even placed on books or expensive looking antiques, candles were there too. They were underground, so they didn't get much light, but they did have electricity, so why candles were here was a mystery.
On the opposite side of the room was a huge window that looked out over the cave and all the other Team Rocket buildings. Standing in front of that window was a tall figure. He wore a large dark colored cloak. His face was covered in shadow. He didn't say anything at first, as if he didn't realize Lucas was there, but eventually, he did.
"Welcome, Lucas. Welcome to my office." He lifted a hand. "Please, have a seat at my desk, if you'd like."
He then turned around and walked towards his desk which was located in the center of the room. He took a seat, regardless if Lucas did or not. "I know you have ill feelings towards me for capturing your Riolu-- oh and I'm sure you'd like to see him, you will soon-- but don't keep those hard feelings. I did it to test you. To see if you had what it took to take care of that Riolu."
The man crossed his fingers together, and a smile could be seen under his hood. "You took the lead through the tunnel. You lead the others straight towards me. You fought valiantly against my Grunts. Finally, you gave up your friends in order to get back your Pokemon. Lucas, you have passed the test. You are worthy of your Riolu."
He then seemed to shuffle through a few random papers on his desk, then he slid one over so that Lucas could see. "However, your Riolu is not ready for you... yet. You see, Lucas, I am not your average Team Rocket agent. I am not here to steal Pokemon and use them for myself. I do things differently. I'm here to capture Trainers, not Pokemon, and improve them both. Look at this paper."
It was up to Lucas to look, but the man continued anyway. "There is a technique that will instantly improve a Pokemon's power. It's new, and it's secret, but it is unbelievably effective. Any Pokemon gone through the process will be stronger than it will ever be otherwise. Lucas, I can give this power to your Riolu, if you pledge yourself to me."
He then showed another paper. "We have recently captured a Salamence as well. Unfortunately, the female we saved it from has not proven herself, but we can still work with the Pokemon. If you're willing, your Riolu and the Salamence will go through the process together. The choice is yours."
The man then stood up. "Of course, if you have any questions, you are free to ask. But think about my offer wisely. What do you have to lose?"

"We're in an illusion?!" Paola nearly shouted in response to Randy’L. "It figures. Psychic Pokemon suck. They're too tricky."
The Gym Leader became extremely tense now. She actually held out a hand out to Annabeth in her struggle in a strange act of kindness. Her eyes fluttered this way and that, clearly showing her inner fear. She became angry as the Slowking began to tell them more and more of their predicament.
"I knew it! Lucas was a traitor!"
She looked over at her Haunter and held up her Premiere Ball. It looked down sadly but seemed to understand why the trainer wanted him to stay out of this situation. The Psychic Pokemon would easily dominate the Haunter. She was almost better off by herself.
"Here, look at this Trubbish."
Paola's Trubbish nervously twitched, seemingly nervous about having attention drawn to it. She laughed and smiled as though the Slowking was a small child.
"I'd bet you a Soul Badge this piece of trash can't do anything on its own. Pokemon and trainers need to work together if they even have a chance of becoming stronger. Even though you're a stupid Psychic type, I respect you much better because of your trainer's influence. Where is that dumb looking dweeb anyway? If he had a bit of courage he'd show himself right now."
Her hands shook. It was clear she was absolutely terrified of the illusion. Her dislike of Psychic Pokemon seemed to hold more than pure hatred.

Gray stepped forward.
"Leave this one to me. Except for a few Psychic and Water attacks, it's only capable of learning Normal and about three or four Fighting-type attacks, all of which are easily dodged. It's Psychic Attacks are useless against Aiko, and if all else fails, there's still Queenie's Grass Type advantage."
He turned to the others. "You guys try to find a way to get out of this illusion and go ahead. I'll follow once I knock it out."
He looked at the Slowking and narrowed his eyes. "You ready to dance?"

Jonathan looked as Lo threw a net on the hairy pig that Pokemon. He felt bad at the poor thing and wanted to help it after beating the secretary in a Pokemon battle. However things weren't really going his way as his Pokemon was just loafing off and not doing what it was supposed to do. The rich boy knew that if he could just get it to listen he would beat this lady easily.
"Let's try that again. Swampert, Ice Punch." Jonathan gave another try at commanding his Swampert, but the result was more or less the same as last time and nothing good came out of it.
Then the situation went from bad to worse as a whole bunch of Rocket grunts came in to aid of Lo in an attempt to apparently capture Jonathan and throw him in a cell or something along those lines. Surprisingly Jonathan remained fairly calm as he looked at all of the grunts near him.
"Well I guess it's time to use my special strategy since there are so many of you. Though you do know that Pokemon battles are supposed to be one versus one." The rich boy said, with a smug look on his face. Surprisingly he did seem to know at least something about Pokemon battles, though that was really basic.
Then he did it. Jonathan showed his special strategy, which was running away. He ran to the door moving faster than he should have been able to, in fact he moved really fast with a dust cloud following him. After running for a few seconds he turned around briefly to recall his Swampert and then moved on. The smugness had turned in to fear by this point.

Lucas was somewhat amazed at the room he found himself in. Despite being inside a cave, the room was lit relatively well, mainly by candles which were everywhere. In Lucas’ opinion, the room had a certain air to it; kind of cozy.
There was a man, dressed in a dark cloak that shadowed his face. The man sat at his desk and motioned Lucas to do the same. Before Lucas could make a move, the man began to speak about his Riolu. Once that happened, Lucas, very quietly moved forward and sat opposite the man.
The man continued on in saying that Lucas passed some form of test and that his Riolu would make the perfect candidate to undergo training. Lucas really had no idea what this man was talking about and was really only paying half attention. After the man finished his speech, Lucas decided it was his turn. “You are right about one thing: I do care about my Pokemon. They are my life and I really do not need any friends. In my travels, I have only met a few people who put their Pokemon first. Out of the group of trainers I left back there, only that Delric person is probably worth anything. The gym trainer treats her Trubbish like trash, no pun intended. That Randy’L character allows her Pokemon to enter perilous situations without guidance. She is over confident in her abilities which makes her blind to her inabilities.”
Lucas shuffled in his chair. Even though his Pokemon had technically been kidnapped, Lucas felt like he had some sort of control over the situation. “Before I agree to anything you are offering, let me see my Riolu.”

Randy’L looked on at the Slowking and then at her friends, glancing around her at each of them. She had been trying her best to observe the situation and figure out the best possible way to escape from this. One thing that struck her was that even though this illusion was psychically produced, everyone seemed to be experiencing exactly the same thing, and other than the change in environment, nothing else seemed to have been altered. Theoretically, a strong enough illusion could be customized for each mind experiencing it, and could cut everyone here off from being able to communicate with one another since doing so depended on their senses, which an illusion could distort. This meant that either the Slowking was simply choosing not to place them into a more complex illusion like that, or, more likely, his psychic abilities were not strong enough to do so, since it would mean juggling and maintaining a lot of different aspects of each illusion he was creating at the same time. If this was correct, then perhaps they did actually have a chance of defeating him, and this wasn’t actually as hopeless as it appeared. For the moment though, Randy’L simply listened to the Slowking’s words, also taking note of each of her comrade’s reactions, while she tried to think of a way out of this mess. The Slowking’s offer was one Randy’L didn’t even need to think about her answer to, knowing right away that she would never, ever accept it. Still, telling him that right away may not be the best idea, and so for the moment, Randy’L just chose to remain silent. Glancing over to Paala when she exclaimed that Lucas must be a traitor, Randy’L shrugged, “Perhaps…perhaps not. It’s natural that he would place his pokemon as his first priority. Any good trainer would. Whether or not he chooses to actually betray us is yet to be seen.” Randy’L herself may at times appear to be reckless with her pokemon, but in fact, it was quite the opposite. She was simply confidant enough in them and the training she had given them to believe without question that they could handle themselves. In other words, she simply trusted her pokemon enough to let them act on their own without her needing to watch over their every move. This was proof of the unbreakable bond that she had with her pokemon, and that she believed in each and every one of them, just as they all believed in her. Gray then volunteered to battle the Slowking himself, and motioned that of all of them, his pokemon were the best suited to the task. This did indeed appear to be the soundest decision, as actually, none of Randy’L’s pokemon were a particularly good match against the Psychic and Water-Type. Two of them had weaknesses to him, and the only one who didn’t, her Togepi, was clearly far too inexperienced to be able to fight him effectively. Still, Randy’L felt like she had to contribute something. Gray had suggested that everyone try and figure out a way to get out of the illusion. Glancing down at her Togepi, who was standing close-by to Paola’s Trubbers, her eyes still glowing blue from her use of her Future Sight, she realized that Hope might be the key they needed. Reaching down, Randy’L picked her small Togepi up, and then tapping her and motioning in front of Hope’s face with some subtle hand gestures what to signal what it was she wanted Hope to do. She didn’t know how effective the precognitive abilities granted by Future Sight would be at counteracting this illusion, but it was probably their best shot. The only pokemon here who would actually be immune to the illusion would of course be Gray’s Umbreon, Aiko, who being a Dark-Type pokemon, was of course immune to Psychic-Type abilities. Still, Aiko was needed to actually battle the Slowking to give them the chance they needed to escape, so the next best alternative would be Hope, whose Future Sight could potentially, although not assuredly, allow her to see through the illusion to a degree. In addition, it would also of course send the delayed attack into the future, which would soon strike at the Slowking when the time was right. --------------------------- Thrym was clearly in a lot of trouble, as when Lo launched the net at him, it eliminated what remained of his then limited mobility. Then however he got two lucky breaks one after another, the first being that the Seviper had been recalled, the second being that Jonathan too recalled his Swampert after running away. This actually opened up a new escape opportunity for Thrym, one he had wanted to use earlier, but couldn’t due to Swampert’s presence. In this situation, it was exactly the right thing for him to use, and so, after falling to the ground with the Iron Net still on top of him, and tangling one of his back legs a bit as he fell, Thrym immediately began pounding away at the ground upon hitting it. At first this would just seem to be a wild thrashing due to him panicking because of the net, but when one looked closer, they would see that he was actually doing two things at once, the first being that he was beginning to bore through the floor, and the second being that he was sending a great many sharp shards of the floor tile everywhere, which were starting to glow with a sandy brown energy before being jammed into the ground as they stuck upright. Thrym was combining the use of Stealth Rock, a field obstacle move which turned shards of hard material into shrapnel that was imbued with Rock-type energies drawn from the earth itself. These would cause the rocks to explode in rains of shrapnel whenever a new opponent pokemon was sent out by an opponent. In addition, he was also starting to Dig through the floor. Of course using this method of escape wasn’t viable before because the one weakness of the Dig technique was of course Earthquake, which Swampert had shown to be liable to use at any moment during the fight, making that escape method too dangerous. With Swampert now gone, unless the Rockets had another pokemon who knew Earthquake, a rare and powerful move, Thrym would likely escape before they could even do anything to stop him. The net was still slowing Thrym down somewhat, but it would only be a matter of seconds now before Thrym got through the floor and began to tunnel away. In addition, if the Rockets tried to send out any new ones to bolster their forces, such as one that could use Earthquake, whatever Pokemon they sent out would get severely damaged by the large supply of Stealth Rocks that Thrym had just set up. --------------------------- Walking down the tunnel, now about halfway down its length, the short humanoid Pokemon carrying a large timber, Randy’s Timburr Atlas, was now coming to join the battle after finishing up his work at the Pokemon Center as per Randy’L’s orders to him. OOC: Alright, I assume I don’t have to tell you guys what Dig is, but some of you may not have heard of Stealth Rock before. Essentially its just a Rock-Type version of Spikes. The more times Stealth Rock is used, the more stacked the damage it deals becomes. It deals Rock-type damage to any opponent’s pokemon that switches in or gets sent out. It should be noted that as an Entry Hazard, certain abilities, such as Levitate, allow a Pokemon to avoid triggering it. The move Rapid Spin also has the useful side effect of clearing away such Entry Hazards. Anyway, here’s its page: Stealth Rock

Delric was horrified. He crouched down with Annabeth, trying to stop her from just pouring tears. He wished he could do something, but all he had was two Psychic Pokemon that wouldn't be of any use, and a sleeping Munna. However, behind him, were a few very respectable, powerful Pokemon Trainers.
Gray had stepped up, ready for battle. Delric didn't think about it before, but his Umbreon was a powerful Pokemon, and Delric's Espeon would never have a chance against it. But why was he thinking about that? He was a friend after all. Delric looked over at his Espeon who seemed to be very nervous, looking from side to side as if she was seeing something, but couldn't focus in on it.
Paola had also stepped up. Delric didn't know what had caused her to gain that ability, but she was also prepared.
Randy'L, who was usually on top of every situation, seemed to be taking a different route in this case. He didn't know much about Togepi or it's abilities, but he hoped it would someone help in the end.
---
Slowking seemed to frown and sigh as the Pokemon Trainers wholeheartedly rejected his offer. "I wish you would reconsider," he said. "You only get one chance like this in a lifetime. If you want to go against me, then let it be."
Slowking seemed to be still for a moment, then he directly attacked Randy'L's Togepi. "Trump Card." Weather the attack would hit, of if another Pokemon would stop him was yet to be seen. Also, why Slowking had decided to go against the Togepi rather than the other Pokemon (who were greater threats) also seemed to be a mystery...
As for Togepi, if she could concentrate enough before the attack, it would get a flash of their true surroundings. They were just outside the main HQ of Team Rocket, and someone was coming their way...
---
Lo watched and laughed as Jonathan rushed out the door, running for his life against the Grunts. "That's it!" she yelled out, laughing. "Go on and run! Remember the name of Team Rocket!" She even commanded the Team Rocket Grunts not to follow him.
The reason was because, as Jonathan ran out of the building, he'd slowly start to notice that all around him, the ground changed the flowers, and the cave roof changed to a wide open sky, and in front of him stood a few Pokemon Trainers fighting a Slowking. He would fall right into the illusion.
Lo then looked at the Swinub, who used a powerful move called Stealth Rock which would cause any other trainers who sent out their Pokemon to be heavily damaged. However, there was one Pokemon this attack wouldn't effect..
"What, have you forgotten about my Murkrow!? Come on Murkrow, capture that Swinub! Use your most powerful move, Night Shade!"
The Murkrow squawked in obedience, then swooped down near the Swinub. Using its energy, the Murkrow attacked, sending the Night Shade upon the Swinub, hopefully taking it out once and for all.
---
Elsewhere, just upstairs, it seemed the man in the cloak was ignoring the roar of battle happening down below. It didn't seem to phase him at all. Right now, all of his attention was dedicated to Lucas.
The man nodded, listening to what Lucas had to say. "You make good points, Lucas. You are capable of handling this new progress in you and your Pokemon's life. As for your Riolu..."
He paused a moment, then gave a small nod. "I will show you it." He lifted a hand signal, and suddenly a bookcase across the room slid open to show a hidden pathway. The man stood up, and began walking down the hallway, calling Lucas to follow him.
As Lucas entered the hallway, he would notice it was very dark. There were fewer candles as they walked, slowly being replaced with light panels that were built directly into the wall. Eventually, they'd reach a much larger open area, and this is where Lucas might be surprised.
It was a huge circular room. The floor was made of metal grates, and if one looked down, they'd see what appeared to be lava far below. The ceiling was lined with the light panels, some which were flickering. The walls were lined with all kinds of strange machinery, tubes, wires and gears. But the strangest thing was that there were two giant glass cylinders sitting at the end of the room.
Inside the glass cylinders were Pokemon. In one, a Salamence, and in the other, a Riolu. They were suspended in a strange bright green liquid with wires and pipes and electrodes connecting their bodies to the machines all around. They seemed completely out cold.
"Here is your Riolu," said the man, ushering his hand over to the glass cylinder. "I know most people would get angry at seeing something like this, and that is why I wasn't going to show you immediately. But now I believe you can handle this much. Your Riolu is perfectly safe, Lucas. It is just waiting for you, and waiting to become more powerful."
He then stood by a large black button, which was slightly glowing green. "We'll use this to take your Riolu to a new level. But I won't do it. It is your choice, Lucas. This is your Pokemon, not mine."

Paola was not prepared.
In fact, now she was cowering behind her Trubbish, apparently terrified of what was going on. Well, nothing really was going on. She seemed to finally grasp, however, that she was in the middle of a Psychic illusion. She detested Psychic types, but maybe it was more from fear than actual dislike.
"Dumb Psychic types," she muttered as she shook. "They're stupid. They can't ever fight normally. Tubbers, protect me."
The Trubbish rolled its eyes and looked back at its trainer with a pout. Those around her would probably notice a reversal of roles here.
"Get us out of this illusion already!" Paola shouted to Randy'L, seeing as her Togepi was the only thing really helping them in the situation.

Lucas ignored the commotion downstairs and continued to fixate his attention on the man in front of him. The proverbial chess match between Lucas and the Rocket Leader was gaining an unsettling, intense vibe, at least from Lucas’ point of view. However, he would not allow his resolve to waiver. He had a mission and he needed to endure with his conviction.
After several moments, the man in front of Lucas paused, then got up and revealed a hidden pathway behind a bookshelf. He then motioned Lucas to follow.
Lucas cautiously got up and followed the man down the dark passage. It was very dark, with the only illumination coming from a few candles spread sporadically. The ominous hallway sent a chilling sensation down Lucas’ spine that gave him a weary foreboding at what he may find at the end. The answer would come sooner than he expected. At the end of the dark passageway was a large, circular room with metal grates as a floor, which Lucas noticed that there was lava below.
Feeling slightly intimidated, Lucas glanced upward and saw two glass cylinders that contained Pokemon in each: one was a Salamence, which he assumed was Annabeth’s, and the other was Riolu. The Riolu appeared to be unconscious and had wires and tubes connecting to him. Keeping his emotions in check, Lucas said and did nothing until the man finished talking.
At first Lucas was alarmed at the sight of his Pokemon but was relieved to see his Pokemon relatively unharmed. Lucas grinned. He doesn’t know.
After the man finished speaking, it was up to Lucas continue this transformation of his Pokemon. Lucas grabbed the switch but before pressing the button, Lucas turned and stared at the man. “Before I press this button, I think there is something you need to know. Let me tell you a story about how I arrived in Kanto.
I was adventuring through the Unova Region until about two months ago. During my travels there, I stumbled upon a Zorua who had been injured, abused, and abandoned by its trainer. A pretty routine case. I cared for the Pokemon and eventually the Pokemon and I became good friends and he agreed to accompany me on my travels.
When I discover an abused Pokemon, I cannot allow the unjust action to go unpunished. Upon further investigating, I discovered that the Pokemon once belonged to a trainer who could not get its Illusion ability to work. When I discovered who the trainer was, I was a bit bewildered. The trainer told me he belonged to an organization called Team Rocket. I have a brief knowledge of the group as primarily operating in the Kanto and Johto regions so my bewilderment stemmed as to why they were in Unova. But seeing as how Team Plasma was defeated, the Unova region was open for anyone to occupy.
After turning the Trainer into the local authorities, I then became a blip on Team Rocket‘s radar, at least within the faction in Unova, or perhaps just within Nacrene City. I then became a constant target once they learned I had a Riolu. Now, I am not exactly sure as to why my Riolu is so special, other than my devotion to it, but I knew using Riolu in battles would have to be limited. ”
Lucas took his hand off the switched and began to slowly walk around the circular room, coming to a stop a few feet from the man. “Once I figured that none of my Pokemon was safe, I knew I had to act. I could not keep running from Team Rocket, so I devised a little trip to Team Rocket’s home region of Kanto. I did not expect a meeting so quickly, but here we are. Except, there is one problem.
I began training my Zorua to utilize its Illusion ability, which really, was not difficult at all. I think the previous owner was just an incompetent trainer. Zorua, in fact, became so adept at using its ability that he was able to keep it active even after being knock unconscious. And he learned this in only a few months. You are probably wondering to yourself as to why I am telling you this and why there is a problem?” Lucas pointed to his Pokemon in the cylinder. “That is not my Riolu. My Riolu is safely inside its Poke Ball. In fact, I‘ll introduce you.”
Lucas threw a Poke Ball and his real Riolu came out in midair. “Riolu, give your strongest Force Palm and free the two Pokemon.”

Gray's eyes widened at the Trump Card attack. "Aiko, block it!!!"
In a blur, Aiko appeared in the path of the attack and took it. She winced, but shook it off. Gray frowned. He knew about the effect of Trump Card, and made a mental note to keep Aiko out of it's path.
"Your opponent is me, Slowking! Aiko, Quick Attack!!"
Aiko charged at the Psychic type, the familar trail of light trailing behind her. It was a frontal attack, foolish, but Gray had a plan...

Jonathan just kept on running and luckily for him none of the Rocket grunts were chasing after him and thus he was able to safely run out of the building. Once outside the underground tunnel suddenly turned into a beautiful field of flowers and the horrible Team Rocket base simply disappeared from Jonathan's sight. There were also some trainers having a battle with a Slowking there. Jonathan however didn't pay much attention to any of this and just kept on running. The rich boy was still moving very fast, faster than he logically should have been able to and it didn't even seem that he was getting tired. That or he was just so scared that he refused to slow down. Since the young trainer wasn't paying much attention to where he was going he was on a crash course with the aforementioned Slowking and would accidentally end up tackling it if nothing would stop him.
