Well Fox has announced they are rebooting it. They hired the director of Chronicle to direct and announced the screenwriter (forgot who).
But I would love a decent FF movie. Shark, if you were in charge, who would you cast as the FF and Doom? Also, how would you right the story?

You know I really have no idea when it comes to casting. Truth be told Dr. Doom as Victor Von Doom would at the very least not be in it all that much. Like in the beginning a little. Rest of the time he'd be in armor, and at that point casting doesn't matter except for voice acting.
As for the FF I have even less of a clue. Story-wise, is even harder. Mainly because I wouldn't know of how to do justice to having Doom as the villain. I think it would be much easier to have one of the other villains, like the Skrulls or the Mole Man. But then that creates the impossible situation of not having Doom as the main villain.
Fuck it I dunno. Maybe do it like X-Men first class and make it a precursor movie. Origin of FF powers happens, meanwhile Doom is coming into his element. Mole Man or the Skrulls attack, they have to temporarily team to fight off the bigger threat or some crap, then they part ways. Heavy foreshadowing to Doom returning in the sequel as the main villain, given that he leaves to bide his time/prepare.
Again, it's more an issue that I just really like Doom rather than the FF as a whole, and I realize writing for them is kind of hard actually. That is, assuming you stick to only things they face. If you take into account anything they've ever done, then you can have the Hulk as an enemy, or the X-men. That would be fucking awesome, to pull elsewhere from the Marvel universe, but I don't think that could be realistically done, what with franchise owners and trademarks and shit.

Yeah, I have no idea who they would cast. The only cast member I liked from the original was Chris Evans.
It is interesting that you brought up X-Men First Class. I think if the screenwriters took a similar approach to Reed Richards and Victor Von Doom as the writers did with Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr, then I think the film could be really good. I know it is an FF movie and the other three members need to be there, and they can be, but from a fan perspective, I have been more interested in the dynamic between Richards and Doom.

Man guys, ignore Shark, he's a giant douchebag who doesn't know when to stop being a royal dick. He's like any comedian, he can't take criticism, and so I fully expect that in reply to this he'll make some "witty" snide little comeback or just throw a temper tantrum like the fucking man-child he is.
Now, with that out the way [for the moment], I'd like to give my impression of the Avengers movie, as well as the films that were its prequels. In general I thought the movie had the some of the best graphics and fight scenes I had ever seen in my entire life, giving even James Cameron's Avatar a run for its money on that front. It most certainly was "awesome" and a "blast" to watch.
Still, that being said, I think they overdid it on the action, and I would like to mention, I don't think I've ever said that about any other movie I've seen in my life [I'm sure there are some, like your general shoot-em-up Thriller movies, but I just haven't seen them]. The entire movie was one giant battle after another, with virtually no actual plot in it at all. The writers essentially didn't even try to give it a convincing plot, nor did they explain a lot of the movie's events [like who the hell the Chituari were in the first place or what Loki's relationship to them was].
That was my biggest point of contention with the film. Quite simply that they didn't even put in the effort to give it a convincing plot. They spent so much money on this movie, that I find it ridiculous that they didn't even take the time to work out a good script with a solid plot-line before starting it.
This seems to be happening a lot with movies today, that they have all these amazing effects, but then in a nearly direct corrolation to that, the more effects they have, the worse the writing is. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, especially when there are movies that have shown you can have both. For example, the Captain America movie had a fair degree of special effects, but also a solid plot at the same time. It can be done, its just when the people making the movie don't even put in the effort that I don't like it.
That's basically my take.

That one continuous shot in the final battle (the one that ended with Hulk punching Thor) that showed all the Avengers fighting was flawlessly epic.

No need for any of that Shark.
I was going to see this movie, but I just never got around to it. Will probably buy it on DVD. I really don't care if its just full of action. I'll mainly be seeing it for Hulk.

The movie was not that great bro, deal with it.
Spiderman was better, and the new Batman will probably be as well.

EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN OPINIONS. Deal.
I honestly believe this movie was not one you should have walked into expecting a great plot and great substance. It's a film, its FOOD for the fantasies and desires of all those fans who grew up with the comics, or just watched all the previous movies. It was AMAZING as an action movie. Which it was meant to be, and it was completely honest and true to itself.
If you aren't a fan at all of Marvel or didn't grow up knowing/liking any of their stuff, I could compeltely understand you not liking the film that much, or even falling asleep during it as one of my friends did. It's honestly a movie for the fans.
Also Shark, Doctor Doom with magic sorcery powers? Or Doctor Doom the scientist?

Me personally, I just prefer science in general. I like my stuff to make sense.
That said however, there is just something so perfect about magic powers Doom. I guess it just fits his personality better to be able to go "HA! MAGIC, BITCH!" and just zap someone and make crazy shit happen, than to just sit down and explain with technology as to why he's zapping someone.
Plus, the Fantastic Four HAVE to be about science, so it's quite fitting for Doom to oppose them with sorcery.
