Section IV of the Journal
For future reference, the following entries that make up Section IV are detailed descriptions of those who I have encountered and/or interact with and/or have observed or continually observe. Notes on how these beings are developing are contained in Section VI. Photographs are available for some and from time to time, I shall write their statistics with the style that the being in study would use, so as to show just how whimsical/etc. the characters under observation can be and to emphasize the offensive nature of the pointless attempts of their minds to delude themselves into thinking that their "quirks" renders them "special" or "human (the word "sentient" would be more scientifically accurate, but the word "human" provides the best connection to the concept that I mean to speak of). I believe with my whole mind that recording the descriptions of these unique specimens will prove to be useful, regardless of my brain's high processing power and above-average-quality memory.
- Current Alias: Mr. Dark (Place a slip of paper with the new alias name on it over the current alias name if the current alias name is outdated and/or no longer useful.)

Here is the template for Character Approval. It is shamelessly the same template we have used every time. Your character must be approved by an administrator or moderator before you can begin playing.
Once the template is filled, post it in this thread.
Name: Gender: Age: Birthday: Homeland: Height: Weight: Build: Hair: Skin: Eye Color: Blood Type: Race: (Human or Fishman? For other possible original races, please message me.) Alliance: (Pirates or Marines? What is their rank?) Personality: (Should be one or two sentences at least) Weapons: Ship (if any):
Abilities: (What sets your character apart from others? How do they fight or go about their daily life?)
Devil Fruit: (Note that this section does not apply to anyone without a Devil Fruit. Note that characters without Devil Fruits tend to be more interesting than those that do. State the name and ability here and what category it falls into. Try to avoid Logias.)
Rokushiki Ability: (These apply for non Devil Fruit users only. Note that your character does not need to have a Rokushiki Ability. Also, you must come up with a good reason as to why this character has these abilities in the Background. Also, no more than three for starting characters. More may be added on later or with permission from an Administrator or Moderator.)
Attack Names: (Just about every member on the Straw Hat crew has their own named attacks. Once again, these are not necessary but if you feel like naming some attacks off. Feel free to.)
Appearance: (This section should be at least six sentences long. Please make an accurate description so that other players may play off of it.)
Background: (This section should be at least twelve to fifteen sentences. This gives me an accurate description of who your character is. Be sure to include their origin. The biggest thing that we're looking for is: what events made your character who he or she is today? Who did they interact with? Why are they this way?)
Dream: (Just about every One Piece character has a dream. What are your character's?)
NOTE: If a character is not approved within two days, contact an administrator or moderator about it and we will get to it. Also, if your character does not fit our guidelines, we will message you and tell you how you can change it to better suit an RPG.

Name: Francis 'Takai' Meian
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Birthday: June 2nd
Homeland: Loguetown
Height: 6'9"
Weight: 171 lbs.
Build: Slender, muscular, but not overly so.
Hair: Brown, with two streaks of black and white, respectively. Shoulder-length, wild, looking like it has never seen a brush even once.
Skin: Slight tan, no special distinguishing marks.
Eye Color: Emerald Green, silted eyes
Blood Type: AB+
Race: Dragon
Alliance: Whatever he feels is the right one
Personality: Overall calm and friendly, has a bit of a temper, though, especially when it comes to people hurting others. Trying to accept everyone, though it might become somewhat difficult with some.
Weapons: Tri-Edge, weapon capable of taking three different forms.
First Form: Zanbatou. Giant blade, sacrificing speed for power and a somewhat decent defense (think Buster Sword)
Second Form: A nodachi about as long as he is tall. Default form, shortening itself to wakizashi length when sheathed, making it easier to carry. Balanced Attack, Speed and Defense.
Third Form: Twin Swords. Two swords the length of katanas, sacrificing attack power and defense for extremely high speed, compensating for the lack of attack power by attacking fast and multiple times.
NOTE: There's a ten second penalty between change of the forms, preventing Takai from, for example, switch to Twin Blades, use their speed to get close then switch to Zanbatou and slam it onto the enemy.
All forms are blindingly white.
Ship (if any): None, lost his last one to a storm.
Abilities: Master Swordsman. Capable of using the kenatsu, sword pressure, to enhance his attacks and attack opponents from afar, surprising them.
Complete Mastery over Light and Darkness, able to manipulate these ancient powers in any form. Capable of materializing various things from either, though they do not last long, except for the clothes he materializes.
Chaos Manipulation/Chaos Mastery (later on). Ability to mix Light and Darkness, causing the creation of Chaos Energy. Superior to either component, Takai can permanently materialize objects from Chaos Energy. Various attacks and tricks are possible through this.
Capable of assuming forms of either of the three, with Chaos forms still being locked.
Accomplished Chemist (Alchemist? Can't remember a fitting description here...): Immense knowledge about the uses of various plants, minerals and animal parts (mostly liquids like poisons) in concoctions that help in various situations, like speeding up natural healing processes, clotting wounds, medicines for many diseases, sleeping gas and the like. Never uses poisons himself, but can create them on demand, keeps the antidotes on his person, though. Started off when he found out what kind of effect his healing powers have on medicine.
Rokushiki Ability: Soru and Geppou
Appearance: If it wasn't for the two streaks in his hair and his extraordinarily green eyes, his rather plain looks would let him vanish in a crowd. Clothes include a black sleeveless shirt with an intricate silver Chinese Dragon, the picture detailed enough to make it seem alive at times, and simple black slacks. Worn over that is a silver hooded coat going down to the ground, black flames at the bottom of the coat. Black combat boots with silver trim. Sword strapped to his left side.
Background: Takai was born to Shiro and Hitomi Meian, the last two of the Chaos Dragons. Though they loved him, they were forced to leave him on a doorstep in Loguetown, as they were chased by the Marines and the World Government, getting killed just a few hours later. Adopted by the residents, a sword smith and his wife, Takai grew up as a normal child, until the day the Marines tracked him down. From them he learned of his heritage and his powers. His fate was to become a weapon fro them, but for some reason, Sengoku, and surprisingly even the Gorosei spoke out for him. He was left alone, even trained by the Marines, adding the Rokushiki Techniques Soru and Geppou to his repertoire, as they were the only ones that complimented his own fighting style, and gaining several friends and allies among the Marines, which proved helpful several times. Just why Sengoku and the Gorosei intervened is still shrouded in mystery...
Deciding to travel, he set out to find traces of his past and his family. Along the way, he met young Kusu and several of her friends, traveling with them for a while, awakening his powers over Light and Darkness along the line, and discovering his true heritage as a Dragon, though Kusu was the only one privy to that last fact. He and Kusu became adopted siblings to each other, Kusu being the younger sister he never had.
Their ways parted soon, though, as their journeys took them in different directions, though he promised they'd meet again, one day.
After some time, he came across a hidden island, populated by rare and strange animals who knew no fear of humans as they'd never encountered one. There, he saved Kizuna, a two-tailed fox from poachers. Kizuna, island life boring her, decided to come along with Takai. Through danger and laughter they forged a bond that couldn't be broken and fell in love with each other, Kizuna revealing her human form on that day.
Right now, they travel with no set destination.
Dream: Having a family of his own.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Awesome character limit, gonna post the second one, too. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Possible Abilities: Tweaked possession ability that grants partner the use of Kitsune Youjutsu in conjunction with their own abilities.

Her regular clothes consist of various kimonos of varying colors and patterns. Her battle clothes are a crimson spandex suit, a silver chest plate, black shorts and white combat boots, a white cloak hiding the sword strapped to her side.
Background: Until she met Takai Meian, Kizuna lived on a hidden island filled with rare animals, she being the only Kitsune. When this strange human (back then she thought he was) saved her, her curiosity was at an all-time high. What would the other humans be like? She didn't even know the world outside the island. Deciding to join him, she asked Takai is she could come with him, which he accepted. Over the course of their travels, not only did she gain her third tail, but her feelings for her friend grew and changed to love eventually. On the day they confessed, she revealed her human form to him, something a Kitsune does only in the presence of thei most trusted person, though she decided to do so for everyone Takai trusted.
Right now she and Takai have no idea what might come in the future.
Dream: See the world and find a place to settle down with her beloved.

Name: Dunkan Walker Gender: Male Age: 22 Birthday: April 12th Homeland: Considers Karate Island his home Height: 6’5” Weight: 195 lbs Build: Athletic Hair: Unkempt black medium length hair Skin: Tan Eye Color: Dark brown Blood Type: A- Race: Human Alliance: Pirates Personality: Dunkan is incredibly joyous though in an odd way and has rarely shown any other emotion besides joy, though on the occasions he has shown sadness or anger he shows it in his own special way. When sad Dunkan will try to cheer himself up with by having his hands say nice things about him in a puppet like way. Upon becoming angry he has a tendency to try to destroy the things around him in a tantrum like fit. He will talk to himself as well as argue. Though he is just arguing with himself most of the time he loses said argument. It is known that he does enjoy having friends and company but will sometimes treat them poorly or have them do things for him simply because he doesn’t want to. If they argue he is know to try to find ways of punishing them. He will try to make friends with just about everyone, though not everyone wants something to do with him.
During combat he will talk nonstop in an attempt to anger or provoke his opponent. When excited by something or just wanting to get his point across Dunkan will slowly make his voice go up in volume until he is screaming at the person he is with. His biggest pet peeve is when people ignore him. He also has on odd hatred of pigeons and crows.
It has been noted quite a few times that Dunkan appears to have some form of ADD as he will lose focus when talking with someone. Though he does do better when fighting he will still sometimes let his mind wander or get distracted. He has a tendency to develop an obsession with certain words or phrases. His favorite one is “Vegas baby!” which he will shout after battle even if he has just lost, provided he is still conscious. Weapons: A pair of Cestus made with leather strips filled with iron plates. The knuckles of the cestus are fitted with small spikes. Ship (if any): A small dingy that he affectionately calls Margret
Abilities: Skilled hand to hand fighter: Though he doesn’t use any sort of actual type of Martial Arts Dunkan has mixed several together to create his own unique type of fighting style.
Quick Learner: Thanks in part to his devil fruit Dunkan learns faster than a normal person. Devil Fruit: Name - Track Track No Mi Type - Paramecia Effect - Dunkan’s devil fruit allows him to track and locate various things (People, animals, and inanimate objects). He does so by placing a special wavelength on the thing he wishes to track which he is then able to sense no matter the distances. Dunkan must at least see the thing he wishes to track for some time in order for the wavelength to become connected. At the current time he is only able to track up to three separate objects. The devil fruit also has the ability to give Dunkan information about people, animals, and objects. This information is downloaded directly to Dunkan’s brain and stored. He can learn names, any kind of devil fruit the thing may have, height, weight, material an object is made from, where the item originated from, blood type.
Appearance: Dunkan has a rather muscular build though he isn’t incredibly bulky, having more of athletic build. His skin is slightly tanned. He has a somewhat long face with slightly sharp cheekbones. Has very soft brown, almost black, eyes that seem to always be filled with laughter.
He is known for having a Glasgow smile that runs up to his earlobes. It is also noted that he has stitch like scars along the top and bottom of his mouth that stop at the end of his Glasgow smile. Four black piercing can be seen lining both sides of the bridge of his nose and two silver ones go along each eyebrow. These scars along with the his other facial features gives him the appearance of a ghoul or scarecrow like creature. Dunkan’s hair is a jet black color of medium length that he keeps unkempt, which gives him perpetual bed head. He has no facial hair; his face being oddly smooth.
Dunkan’s attire consists of a white button up shirt which is untucked at the left side and leaves is unbuttoned at the very top. The shirt has a pocket on the right breast. Over the shirt Dunkan wears a black formal jacket that has two pockets on the inside one on each side. The jacket ends at the his wrists. Dunkan also wears black dress pants that stop just barely past the ankles. The pants are kept up with a plain black belt. He is shown wearing typical black dress shoes that are worn over black dress socks.
Background: Dunkan doesn‘t remember anything about his childhood or his parents. Nor does he remember his name or where he got his scars from. What he does remember is somehow ending up on Karate Island in a small dingy that he still has today. The only thing Dunkan is able to remember from his past is his date of birth. He took his name from a box of donuts that he saw on laying in a trash can outside and altered it slightly. As he wondered the unfamiliar island he was noticed by a younger couple who took note of the shape that Dunkan was in and taking pity upon the youth brought him inside to clean up and rest.
Though the couple did not have the money to feed another mouth in the household they decided to raise Dunkan as their own. It was here that he was taught his fighting style from the man that he had learned to call father. He also adopted the couple’s last name as his own. Years passed and it was decided by the boy’s new parents that he should go out into the world and discover who he truly was. After a few days of sailing Dunkan came across another island and decided to look around. While he was on the island Dunkan discovered an odd looking fruit. His stomach groaning from a few days of eating nothing but bread he decided to partake in the fruit as dinner. Biting into it he discovered it to have an awful bitter taste but wolfed it down no matter. Dunkan would soon learn from the village locals of the island that the fruit was actually a devil fruit and that he had lost his ability to swim. Discovering that the ability of his fruit was rather useful the boy decided to set sail again.
He has been sailing ever since making money by gathering info and locating people for others.
Dream: To discover his past

Name: Samuel Wolf Gender: Male Age: 42 Birthday: February 02 Homeland: South Blue Height: Shoemaker Isle, West Blue Weight: 1 Ton Build: Heavy, 21 feet tall Hair: Brown Skin: Light Eye Color: Green Blood Type: O Race: Activista Cyborg Alliance: Loner Personality: Dark and cold Weapons: Weapons build into his body, canons and lasers, along with guns and spears. Ship (if any): No Ship Abilities: Samuel Wolf has great speed and strength, along with a huge arsenal of weapons at his disposal. Devil Fruit: No Devil Fruit Rokushiki Ability: Soru for speed and Tekkai for protection. Attack Names: (Will be added in the future) Appearance: Background: Samuel Wolf grew up on Shoemaker Isle in the West Blue, son of the greatest shoemaker in the world. The Government and World Nobles would travel long distances to this island to purchase the magnificent shoes, so Samuel regularly saw and interacted with some of the most powerful men on earth. As Samuel grew older, he decided to join the Marines. He quickly grew in rank until he was one of the strongest of CP9, mastering Tekkai and Soru better than anyone else. It was then he was approached by Dr. Vegapunk, one of the greatest of world scientists. He was told that if he would allow Vegapunk to experiment on his body, he could create one of the most powerful cyborgs in all of the world. Samuel, wanting to become the most powerful of all of CP9 and the marines, agreed. His cybernetic attachments created by Vegapunk did increase his strength beyond his wildest dreams, and he vanquished almost any pirate that dare step in his way. It was as if everything was going just as he wanted. As time went by, and as more and more cybernetic enhancements were attached to his body, Samuel began to feel differently. Very slowly, his mind began to slip away, as if hushed in a far off place behind a huge metal wall that he could not penetrate. At times he could not even remember what he had done previously, as if another mind had taken over. It was then he knew Vegapunk was doing more to him than just making him more powerful. As Vegapunk approached him one day and requested yet another cybernetic attachment, Samuel decided this time he would deny the request. He didn't give him a reason why, but just said he was happy the way he was. Vegapunk did not object, and left him be. A month or so later, Samuel had the chance to go back to his home island, Shoemaker Isle, to visit his father, and he took that chance. He spent a week there, reliving his grand adventures with his father. As he slept in his bed on the seventh day a huge crash caused him to wake up. Looking about the house, he discovered marines and the CP9 arrived, looking for him and threatening his family. Vegapunk was leading them. Vegapunk explained that he was going to bring Samuel back and continue his experimenting weather Samuel wanted it or not, and he would do anything he could to do it, even kill his family. Full of rage, Samuel attacked the CP9 and marines, trying to fend them away and protect his family. As he was fighting, again it felt as if his mind was being pushed away by some other force. In his minds eye a giant wall appeared in front of him, blocking his view and all of his senses. Slowly the light surrounding him faded away and there was only darkness. When he came back to his senses he was sitting in a pool of blood, his arms in heavy chains behind his back. Looking around he saw Vegapunk standing in front of him smiling as marines made sure he was well locked up. But it was what was behind Vegapunk that made his heart sink. His father was dead, slaughtered. Samuel knew exactly who did it. Although he didn't remember it, he knew he had done it. He then looked to Vegapunk, and heard the last thing he remembered that night. "Don't you see?" said Vegapunk. "You're too far in now. There is no going back. You will become the second advancement. First there was Kuma PX-0, The Pacifista Cyborg. Now there will be you, Wolf AX-0, The Activista Cyborg. Look what you did, he's dead now. Your mind is gone. Give in and and give up, and become my experiment." Samuel's mind immediately blacked out after that, and the next thing he knew he was standing in the snow on an island in the Grand Line, many hundreds of thousands of miles away from Shoemaker Isle. He had no idea how he got there or what was going on. As time went by, he slowly discovered that Shoemaker Isle had been destroyed ten years ago in some kind of huge powerful explosion, though no one knew how that happened. Ten years had passed, and to him, it seemed like a blink of an eye... He also discovered the government was looking for him, but Samuel knew he wasn't going to go back. Not after what Vegapunk had did to him, had made him do to his father... He decided to be a wanderer, fighting the government when he could, wanting to gain information, and one day find Vegapunk and return the favor. He took on the name Wolf, and left that snowy island. Dream: Find Vegapunk and get revenge

Name: Kusu R. Kidd Gender: Female Age: 11 Birthday: March 19 Homeland: Momoiro Island Height: 4'5" Weight: 80 lb Build: Scrawny Hair: Brunette, usually tied into pigtails on the top of her head with some of her hair left down. Skin: Pale Eye Color: Green Blood Type: O Race: Human Alliance: Pirate Personality: Kusu has a charming and innocent feel to her. Almost anything amazes her. Yet, she seems to have a deep maturity under the exterior of her childishness. Weapons: A katana called Tyrfing (not used). Ship: None, thus far. Abilities: Extensive knowledge of Okama Kenpo. She is an apprentice in a certain desert sword style, under the instruction of her old friend. She refuses to use this style unless under dire circumstance. Devil Fruit: Tori Tori no Mi (Model: Parakeet) The user can assume a “hybrid” bird form, composed of human and bird features, and a “full” form which is a larger version of the animal itself. Kusu has used her "hybrid" form so much in her everyday life, she has developed a new form, allowing for the wings that would usually envelope her arms to emerge on her back. Appearance: Kusu typically keeps to the “angel” form of her Devil Fruit. Her nose is beak-like, orange and triangular. Her hands and feet are talons of the same orange color, reverting back to normal skin at the midway point between the wrists/ankles to the elbows/knees. Her wings are massive and a plain green. They protruded from slits in the back of her bright pink shirt. Her outfits tend to always include a bright pink color. She usually wears blue jean shorts. Background: A toddler was found by a couple floating on a wooden plank in the middle of a ship wreck. It was assumed that the child was of pirate descent because of an unknown jolly roger floating by.
Henry and Charles took the toddler back with them to Momoiro Island and raised him in the Okama paradise. All the child could remember was brief memories of his family and his name: "Sneak Rogah." While they could never figure out what "Sneak" meant they determined part of his name was likely "Roger." However, they nicknamed him “Kusu,” or “little snicker,” after his strange laugh.
Over the years, Kusu never questioned the logic of her presence among the Okama. She did not have a typical education; she grew through experience and example. Most importantly, so her family taught, she learned Okama Kenpo, how to accessorize and put on makeup.
However, there was a strange desire in her. Sometimes her family would find her, standing at the edge of the island. Her eyes would not blink and simply widen as though she was seeing something they weren’t.
Kusu longed for the sea. She wanted to venture out to the world and see what it had to offer. She knew there was danger. She envied the birds, not caring if they flew far from their family or home. She didn’t want to tell Henry or Charles that she wanted to leave. She wanted to run away before she would ever confront them on the issue.
So when she heard her neighbor had brought a Bird Type Devil Fruit to the island, she knew it was destiny.
Kusu stole the fruit in the dead of night. She nearly squeaked over how disgusting the taste was. She paused in wonder as green feathers immediately sprouted about her back and arms. She found the feathers did not make much noise as she shuffled silently throughout her neighbor’s house.
As soon as she was outside, she found the nearest cliff she could and positioned herself at the end of it. The stars glimmered that night, as though calling her to the skies.
Kusu began to flap her new wings and ran toward the end. Just as her foot left the ground, she heard a cry from her parents not too far away. Distracted, her wings lost their lift and she tumbled into the sea.
Upon waking up, her parents bombarded her in a mix of sorrow, happiness, and scolds. They told her the truth of how she came to be on the island, that she was probably a pirate at heart and that she would never swim again. She had to work for months in a peach garden to repay the crime to her neighbor.
At nine years old, Kusu was ready to fulfill her heritage. Mr. 2 Bon Clay and many other individuals taught her how to live a life at sea. One day, she found herself aboard one of their many ships. Everything was going fine, until the crew encountered a giant dolphin.
Kusu was launched off the ship and into the sea to be lost yet again. She found her way to the land of Alabasta where she met a carefree man and joined a pirate crew of the likes she had never seen.
She inherited a “shitty sword” which, in time, revealed itself to contain the soul of a young man named Hilbrand Zuberi or “Hil.” He was a bitter soul, angry over his untimely death in Alabasta. He believed the crew purposely stole his sword with his soul trapped in it and often lamented over it.
However, the two grew to trust each other and were great partners in battle. Even after the crew separated, they remained friends and worked with each other to seek their goals. They fought constantly but knew they could rely on each other.
Eventually, they found the true location of Hil’s body, a land named Thriller Bark. It was discovered then the Hil’s soul was not entirely bound by the sword but could transfer back and forth from his body. Even though his body was dead and held together by stitching, he could still thrive.
Delighted at this new find, the two decided to start another crew in which they joined again with Takai and Kizuna and met the mysterious Sam.
However, even these adventures did not last and the crew separated. Kusu and Hil were by themselves again. Kusu suggested to Hil they should meet her parents, which he was extremely reluctant to but agreed anyway.
On the way there, they were confronted by the none other than Admiral Kizaru of the Marines. They were immediately overpowered. But instead of capturing both of them, he only took the unconscious Hil. Kusu screamed for him to stop, asking why he would only take him. Kizaru only responded calmly.
“You should know: the secret of immortality.”
Kusu found her way home on a ruined ship, head held down in shame. Her parents and family could do nothing to make her happy. She had lost everything; her crew was gone and her best friend was missing and likely hurt. She remained in her sadness for days.
“You can’t keep doing this,” her father Henry told her. “This isn’t what your friend would want. Go and do what you love. Find strong people who love adventure, who bathe in passion, who seek riches beyond their wildest dreams. Do what you were meant to do and embrace the romantic dawn.”
Kusu remembered how happy she was with Hil and her friends. Inspired by Henry’s words, she ventured out into the Grand Line yet again, determined to find new companions, save her best friend, and find out the truth behind the secret of immortality.
Dream: To find her friend Hil and the truth to the secret of immortality.

Name: Kalen Gender: Male Age: 18 Birthday: June 12th Homeland: Morolanth Height: 5'8" Weight: 140-ish Build: Lean, but fit Hair: Blonde Skin: Tanned Eye Color: Blue Blood Type: B Race: Human Alliance: Revolutionaries Personality: Determined, fierce, steadfast in his duty. Generally removed and inexperienced with the world, though he maintains an air of politeness and optimism. Weapons: Numerous knives, a long staff doubling as a catch pole meant for herding sheep. A sling for tossing rocks and whatever else. Abilities: A good enough fighter, he's fairly competent in close quarters and further out thanks to his staff. Quite fit and flexible, uncharacteristically agile for someone of his appearance and moves like someone maybe half his size and weight. Rather than take a blow he'd very easily just dodge or avoid it. Appearance: Kicks about in worn sandals and loose trousers tied off with rope. Sports a loose sleeveless shirt and though he has a sheepskin jacket, he perpetually has it hanging on his shoulders rather than fully wearing it. Has a black headwrap covering much of his head, emblazoned with a pattern of three skulls, his hair protruding messily from underneath. Of note, much of his upper body is covered in bandages, especially his arms and hinting perhaps towards some unhealed injury. Background: Kalen grew up in the mountains of his homeland, always looking down the slopes past the rolling hills, towns and forests, and to the sea and sky beyond. He wondered what life was like in other places, but was generally uninterested in actually traveling or visiting such places. His older sister had the chance to head beyond, to those places he's only seen and make a living for herself as was her ambition. When Kalen got the chance and finally worked up the nerve to go visit her, he headed down the slopes of the mountains where he was born, to take a step forward into the beyond just as his sister had done. As he traveled he found the world to be an amazing yet strange place, and could never be sure if he preferred his life at home with the rest of his family where things were familiar and friendly.
Much to his dismay however he was unable to locate his sister in the place she was known to be. He searched all about, asking whomever he could for information, though rumors ranged from being kidnapped by pirates to meeting someone and setting of to make a family of her own. Regardless of the reason, what mattered was that she was gone with little to no trace, and no goodbye. Something had to have happened either for better or for worse, and he set his mind to finding out exactly what. So returning home to inform his family and gather what resources he could, he set out for good, in search of his sister and not intent on returning till he knew what had become of her. Though just a simple sheepherder himself, the young man managed his way well enough, eventually finding himself traveling the great seas.
It was in his travels that he came into contact with the Revolutionary forces of the world and their conflict with the World Government which he was previously unaware of. He didn't like the idea that a group of people, a governing body would seek to unite and control the world without much consideration otherwise. As far as he was concerned, they may as well not exist for back home he had only heard stories of the outside world and how it worked. If someone would try to forcefully govern his homeland and force it to interact with the rest of the world, then he would stand against such a force just as everyone else in his family would. And so he joined the Revolutionary effort in hopes of better tracing his sister, and as a means to fight for what he felt was right, to stand for all the other villages and lands like his own who simply were not interested in nor had a stake in the conflicts of the world.
Dream: To find his missing sister, and either change his life or return to the old ways depending on her status.

Name: John Doe Nickname: Z Gender: Male Age: ~ 24 Birthday: Unknown Homeland: Somewhere in East blue Height: 6’0” Weight: 200 lbs Build: Rather muscular, but not to the point where he’s too bulky. Hair: Buzz cut black hair, because it’s easy. Skin: Tan Eye Color: Bright blue Blood Type: AB negative Race: Human Alliance: Technically pirate. Personality: Saying Z is complicated is more than an understatement. One thing that’s absolutely certain about him is that he’s far from sane. It’s difficult to describe him however, for he’s an entertainer one day and an angry killer the other. For the most part, Z has an “I don’t care attitude”. Not in an emo sense, but in a sense where he really just doesn’t care. Human lives, for example, mean absolutely nothing to him. He feels the same about killing as he does about throwing away a dirty napkin, it really makes absolutely no difference to him. Even though that makes him a killer, it’s also important to notice that killing doesn’t FUEL him, he just doesn’t care whatsoever if he does it. He could very well beat the living crap out of somebody but let them live just because he didn’t feel like killing them. Then again, he could shank a little boy in the eye with a spork just because he wanted to see if the boy would blink before the spork reached the eyeball.
The insanity doesn’t stop there, though. You could call him bipolar, but that’d be insulting to those that actually have bipolar disorder. He’s just crazy. You could be talking to Z about the weather, and he could seem completely interested in the conversation one moment, but you’d say the word cloud or something and he’d punch you in the nose with no explanation and just walk away.
The last thing to say about his insanity is just… it’s unpredictable. Its effects on his mind can range from doing absolutely nothing one second to making him think everyone is an alien plotting against him. This includes extremely realistic hallucinations that he’s become used to just popping up around him. This has given him a sort of immunity to being shocked by almost anything, seeing as he’s so accustomed to the impossible happening in his mind.
Z doesn’t enjoy many things in life, just two things mainly. The first of which is being a smart ass. There isn’t any psychological meaning behind it that leads to him wanting attention or some stupid crap like that, he just likes being an annoying doucher. If he wants to annoy you, he will not shut up until he drives you absolutely crazy. Don’t doubt his annoyance skills either, even the calmest Buddhist monks would end up punching Z in the face with frustration. Since he doesn’t care much for anything, he has no ambition. Since he has no ambition, he has nothing to do. Since he has nothing to do, he’ll waste hours following you around and singing the barney theme song just to piss you off.
The second thing that he enjoys is a bit lame. Pain. Z has absolutely no memory of life before the age of 14. He doesn’t really mind it much either, but there’s a feeling of recollection, of familiarity that is invoked when he feels pain. It’s a wondrous feeling for somebody who isn’t used to feeling any stable emotions. It reminds him of home, although he can never fully remember it. Even for somebody who doesn’t care much, having a memory on the brink of recollection but never being able to fully remember it is like a persistent mosquito bite. As you scratch and scratch, you get annoyed and frustrated, but at the same time, you get relief from scratching. After years of causing pain to himself, Z grew to just love pain as a whole. It turned from a simple mission of trying to bring back a memory to creating a sadistic nature that just became so used to causing pain that it became a specialty. Because of this, Z has grown an insane pain tolerance. Chopping an arm off would cause the same amount of pain to him as it would to anyone else, the only difference is that it would make him laugh with satisfaction.
Z’s mental… uniqueness has a few specific quirks. There are a set of words that you should never say around him for reasons unknown. “Son.” “Checkmate” “yahtze!” and finally, “gaga.” He has no idea why this happens, maybe something related to his history, but whenever one of these words are used, a flip is switched in his brain and he just goes apeshit. He’ll go into a 15 second spree of rage and destruction. When the 15 seconds end, he’ll act completely normal as if nothing happened. Weapons: X2 four foot long katanas kept strapped to his back X2 daggers kept strapped to both ankles Ship (if any): None, usually stows away on any he can find. Abilities: His fighting style is entirely unique and absurd. Z’s fighting style revolves around his ability to ignore damage delivered to him. He sacrifices caution to obtain an incredible offensive. His combat revolves mostly around his amazing reflex es and intuition along with recklessness. His reflexes are off the chart, allowing him to see and react even to movements as fast as Soru, despite not being able to perform the technique himself. He has no training in any formal combat art and has never had a need for it. Devil Fruit: Heal Heal fruit Gives the user the ability to heal. At first, the healing is limited to just them and is slightly slow and limited to weak wounds. At the zenith of this fruit’s strength, the user may heal any wounds on themselves and others. Current strength: The user can heal pretty much any wound so long as his head is in tact. Simple wounds (scratches, cuts shorter than four inches, practically all blunt damage attacks) heal instantly with larger wounds (appendages being cut off and the like) requiring more than one post to heal. Appearance: Z’s surprisingly attractive in both body and face. He has handsome features and gorgeous eyes that couple perfectly with a very well toned body to make him rather attractive. His insanity tends to scare women away, but were he a normal person, he’d be quite a stud. It also doesn’t help that he’s practically nude at all times. Other than his weapons, all Z wears is a tight pair of spandex underwear that leaves very little to the imagination. Background: Z’s life has been nothing but difficult.
Like all good cowboys, Z was born into a more than dysfunctional family. He was born into a family of three that consisted of himself, his mother and his father. His father was a 30 year old marine and his mother was a 24 year old civilian. Z was an accident. Both his mother and his father resented him, and both his mother and his father resented each other. Z’s father was much more obvious about it, meaning he beat the both of them. His mother was sexually, physically and verbally abused and Z was verbally and physically abused by both his father and his mother. They were also both kept in the house at most times under the threat of death. Being a marine, Z’s father could easily kill the two of them. It was because of this that Z’s mother encouraged the boy to go out and get some basic marine training. She couldn’t care less about the boy’s future, she just wanted him to become strong so he could kill her husband.
In school, Z was determined and quiet. He knew his mother was using him, but he shared a common goal with her. His father had to be killed, he couldn’t take this abuse any more. Unfortunately, this determination and effort blinded the boy. The day he was to graduate, he felt as if he was strong enough to fight and kill his father. The boy didn’t even officially graduate; he skipped the ceremony and went home instead.
Upon arriving, he caught his father doing his usual business. Drinking and hitting his mother. With a yell, Z grabbed his newly bought knife and charged at his father with confidence. Only to receive a kick to the stomach that sent him flying through their house doors and out into the street.
By now, Z’s father was both drunk and angry; he didn’t think much about hiding what he was doing. He stormed out of the house after his son who was coughing on the ground and trying to stand. The drunken marine picked up his son by the hair and simply threw him across the street. He went to the boy again and started punching any part of the kid’s body he could find.
Of course, the islanders instantly reported it to another marine who came to check it out. The marine just happened to be a lower rank who was quickly eliminated when he tried to intervene. In his drunken fury, Z’s father grabbed Z’s knife and stabbed the poor marine in the neck before trying to return to beating his child.
Only when he heard the marine’s body hit the ground did he realize what he had just done. Out of instinct and impulse, the veteran picked up the battered body of his child and simply ran. He sprinted out of the island and hopped on a rowboat nearby, never to return again.
His father spent the rest of his life dragging Z around from island to village, repeating the same cycle as the one in Iwa, only now Z was abused more often and more intensely and he was a prisoner. Z never gave up on killing his father, however. He always trained when his father was asleep or not around.
By now, mental issues were already showing up. Z started getting so numb to the pain of being beat that he developed a pain tolerance no child should ever have to develop. His lack of a social life also intensified his budding mental issues by transforming his imaginary friends into Illusionary friends. Z wouldn’t hallucinate other people, but he would talk to himself and he would hear a voice respond to him. Two voices, actually. One voice was the tough voice, the one that did what had to be done, the one that motivated Z to keep training so he can one day kill his father. The second voice was quieter and rarely spoke, the voice of reason that kept Z from doing absurdly stupid things. Every day, Z seemed to also become frailer and more stressed. It got to the point where he stopped sleeping and started losing hair and weight because of stress, he was a massive wreck.
On his 15th birthday, he snapped. Z was in a bar with his father, as usual. His father was getting drunk as Z sat in the corner and waited for the regular routine of his father getting drunk, taking him to a hotel and beating him silly. As his father drank, a curious bartender asked Z’s father who Z was, and the drunken missing nin replied by saying he was his worthless son. For some reason, when he heard his father call him his son, he snapped.
Z grabbed the nearest bottle and leapt forward, slamming it against his drunken fathers head, breaking it in half and using the now sharpened portion to repeatedly stab his father in the neck. His father, in his drunken stupor, could barely react. All of the years the man spent abusing his child was avenged by a few seconds of massive bleeding from the jugular. His father dropped like a sack of potatos and continued to bring a red color to the ground.
And then he ran. The other bar inhabitants chased him in attempts to avenge what they believed to be a wronged man’s death. For common people, they were pretty quick and almost caught the delirious teen. He somehow managed to make it to the ocean, however, and jumped in with enthusiasm. The seas were exceptionally wild that day and nobody felt enough motivation to risk their life jumping in after him. They waited at the coast, assuming he had no choice but to swim back. He never did.
Instead, he washed up in a nearby island a couple of days later. He was extremely dehydrated and starved and had entire parts of hid body ripped off. He was missing a foot and several chunks of flesh and muscle. It was a miracle he was even alive, which he barely was. Whatever attacked him in the ocean had left him miliseconds away from death.
Luckily for him, he was encountered by a doctor who was just waiting for such an impossible case. The man carried a fruit with him at all times in hopes of meeting an individual that was in as bad a shape as this boy right here. He had a devil fruit with him and he had to test out his scientific theories on the strength of devil fruits. He knew what it did, now he had to see how well it did it. Force feeding the boy the fruit after he was actually technically dead, the doctor saved the child’s life. Z woke up two weeks later with a fully functional body and no recollection of what happened. His personality was accelerated in its insanity and he had fits of hostility that caused him to not just lash out at his savior, but kill him in the process. From there, he escaped and continued an aimless path with an unknowable history; growing stronger each day from his inevitable bouts of violence with most people he encountered. Out of pure madness, he decided to give a crack at the grand line and now wanders aimlessly in its general direction.
Dream: none.

Current Alias: Mr. Dark Gender: Male Age: Unknown; he is definitely an adult. May be around early thirties, but exact age is not sure. Extremely hard to tell since his skin is completely covered. Birthday: 11/15/XXXX Homeland: Selkerath Height: 7'3 Weight: See Build. Build: Tall and somewhat muscular; he is not a hulk but he is no lanky scarecrow either. Hair: No hair to speak of. Skin: Little. Eye Color: Red Blood Type: B Race: Human Alliance: None Personality: Mr. Dark is a cold and calculating manipulator who will do anything possible and impossible in order to achieve his goals. Although he is not stubborn and will willingly adapt to the situation, a disturbingly intense determination drives him and his actions. If he has any emotion, he certainly does not show it in his monotone voice. He knows just how other people tick and is an expert at attacking their psyche. Even without the help of his fruit, Mr. Dark knows how to use words to strike others where it hurts the most. Although he makes for a rather frightening figure, he can be charismatic and he definitely has a silver tongue. Underneath this aloof manner though, an intense, raging hatred for all others festers and makes itself known through his plans. Perhaps related to that hatred is his obsession with justice. His justice focuses on the punishment of all who deserve it. No mercy. Weapons: Through his travels throughout the world, he has picked up several different fighting styles and techniques, which he fused together. He has no weapon besides his body and his powers. Ship (if any): A simple wooden ship, nothing special. He has used/boarded upon/hijacked several different ships and this is the one he happens to use now. Abilities: Mr. Dark is an excellent doctor and has a vast knowledge of various concoctions, diseases, cures, and the such. He is extremely intelligent, perhaps brilliant in a sick way, and is able to formulate and change elaborate plans and back-up plans on the dot. He has a better memory than most. He is stronger than the average man, faster than the non-average man, and knows skills of various origin. Devil Fruit: The Scare-Scare fruit. It is a Paramecia that grants its user ultimate power over fear. From a distance, the user is automatically aware of the fears of others. If those around the user are scared, then the user is more powerful in terms of speed, strength, and the such. Once the user touches the victim, the user is able to fully manipulate the victim's fears. Such manipulation varies depending on the user's imagination, but mainly focuses on illusion. The user cannot physically be hurt by the illusions themselves, but the brain is not as invincible. Once the user touches the victim, the user can use such illusions until the user somehow breaks free of the illusions or until the user chooses to stop them. Once the victim has been touched once, the user not longer has to remain in contact with the victim in order to use the illusions, although the power/intensity of the illusions varies on how long the contact is. A punch will trigger a short burst of illusion and fear while continued contact will result in much more elaborate tricks. The more scared the victim(s) is(are), the more powerful the user and his illusions become. The user can touch people without hurting them if he or she or it so wishes. Attack Names: He does not name his attacks. Appearance: As the build said, Mr. Dark is tall and somewhat muscular, perhaps lean. He wears a black, buttoned up trenchcoat with a black tie and gray undershirt. He has a black, wide-brimmed hat, black/opaque sunglasses, and a featureless black mask/bandana that covers/wraps the rest of his head and neck. He has black gloves, black dress pants, and black loafers. The being known as Mr. Dark was born on the small, insignificant island known as Selkerath. He was born into a wealthy family, although his father had died before his birth and the mother had died during the birth. Raised by butlers and other employees of his late parents, he had a rather isolated and lonely life by choice; he preferred keeping to himself. Rich and alone was how the child lived for many years, although he did not seem to mind.
At one point, a group of Marines had made an emergency landing at his little hometown. When they were there, the child saw many horrible things. The marines did not inflict much harm on the villagers, no, they were too busy for that. He saw what had been done to the marines. He saw fatal wounds, bloody corpses, and grown men begging for their lives, some crying and calling out to their mothers, who were nowhere near this island. When he saw this sight, the child was frightened and horrified. He would not be able to forget such an image for a long time. Not too long after he saw it though, the child began to draw a strange determination from it. He would make sure that no one would have to go through that pain and that if anyone did, he would be there to help them. No one deserved to be hurt so badly. When he grew up, he would help them. He would save their lives, no matter what it took.
The years went by as he dedicated his life to the medical sciences. He had little contact with the villagers, but as he grew they began to love him. He was the healer, the miracle doctor, the man who could practically bring your child back from the dead. In time, he too began to cherish the people he helped on a daily basis. It was a happy time.
But there was something missing.
For all his knowledge on how the body worked, he could not tell what it was that bothered him. The answer came in the form of Sarah L. Selena. A girl who was the doctor’s age and had been his patient from time to time, just like any other villager. She eventually became his favorite patient. Every visit would warrant a smile on his face. He did not want to be too assertive at first. They both enjoyed their discussions and check-ups. More years passed. They knew each other very well at this point, and it was clear that they had feelings for each other. One day, he proposed. She said yes.
They were two young adults, each barely past 20, in love. For years, they lived together in happiness. The town congratulated them. The doctor got what he wanted. He helped the villagers live in health and joy and he had the love of his life. He now knew what had been missing. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with this woman. They were happy. For many years, he was so happy.
A sickness.
The pain. The pleading. The begging.
The town had no joy.
A needle. An explosion. A fire.
That fire. He could still feel it. That awful fire.
She was gone. But she did not die. He knew.
There were bodies, but none of them were hers.
He left, cheated, confused, in agony. It wasn’t fair. The injustice was intolerable. He didn’t deserve this. It wasn’t his fault! For a time, he could do nothing but hate it. When he left, the island died. No one lived on it. Not any more.
He did everything he could to find her. He used every resource, every trail. Along the way, he bore witness to horrible acts. He tried to help those who needed it, but he soon found that he cared more about who deserved it. And who did? All of these people, they were killing each other for the pettiest of reasons. All across the world there was strife and murder, and for what? These stupid, soulless creatures. They did not deserve to live. Look at what they did to each other! Countless lands he had traveled to in his search for Sarah L. Selene, and they all showed the same thing. It was disgusting. Those marines who he had seen so many years ago. They dealt pain onto others as well! They deserved that pain, that agony, and so did all sentient beings. The humans, the mermen, everyone! These vermin dared to contaminate the entire world? The injustices they poured onto each other day by day was far too much. They needed to be punished. The Devil Fruit he had consumed in his travels - it was a desperate time and he assumed that any help would be useful -would be his weapon against evil. Justice had to be dealt.
And if it were to be dealt through his hands, then so be it. Dream: Find Sarah L. Selene and inflict justice upon those who deserve it.

Name: Shima (Island) Shima (Stripe). (First name Stripe sur name Island, so Stripe Island) Gender: Male Age: 19 Birthday: May 2nd Homeland: Karate Island – South Blue Height: 5’ 10” Weight: 135lbs Build: Slim Hair: Long blonde hair, always let down. Skin: Caucasian Eye Color: Green Blood Type: O Negitive Race: Human Alliance: Marine Personality: A bit crazy and an inverted thinker. Completely obsessed in finding the truth, Shima is often at odds with superiors with the attitude, “Fuck the Rank.” Weapons: Sword and Pistol Ship: N/A Abilities: For an unknown reason since birth Shima seems to see things before they happen. Though it is unknown to him what this is, it is untrained, and unpredictable. Devil Fruit: N/A (Doubt it’ll come later on) Rokushiki Ability: N/A (To come later on) Attack Names: N/A (To come later on) Appearance: Coming in at 5’ 10” and 135lbs Shima is a very slim weak looking excuse of a human being. His long blonde hair flows down his back, resting just above his waist. As a Petty Officer he wears the traditional hat with Marine stamped across the front. A katana graces his left hip while pistol is hidden in his dark blue jacket. A white symbol for Truth adorns his left jacket sleeve while a black bear paw, outlined in white adorns his right sleeve. His black shorts end above the knee revealing his white tube socks. A single stripe runs down from the ankle to the sole of his shoes (outside only) Background: Born to a poverty stricken family, Shima got his entertainment locked away in the Karate Island library. Devouring books he would sit there for hours on end until he was forced to attend his martial arts training. Karate Island is famous in offering martial disciplines of every variety and even the low income families find a way to send their children.
Shima was banned from partaking in any martial lesson at the age of 6. During one of his kendo lessons Shima read his opponents move before the move was made. Out of pure reaction he thrust his shinai at his opponent’s throat with such force it almost killed him. To on lookers is seemed as if Shima had simply attacked his opponent out of blood lust. Since that time Shima has been shunned by the entire island and voluntarily locked himself away with books.
None of these books had as much impact on him as did “The Wandering Truth”, an epic legend about a man who was so righteous none could stand against him. It was said that the man traveled the four seas North, South, East, and West, and then he traveled to the Grand Line, the “Pirates Graveyard”. Clues have been said to exist as to the whereabouts of this righteous man, for not only could no one stand against him, Death was not exempt.
At age 16 Shima joined the Marines in the hope of one day being able to set out to sea and find the clues left behind by the righteous man. Though the Marines were hesitant to let Shima join due to his weak stature, the relented upon the shear knowledge he possessed. He was relegated to the initiate status of Chore Boy, for three years or until the attack of the Corporate Pirates.
While out at sea fishing for the day’s supper, a group of pirates known as the Corporate Pirates led by the notorious South Blue 14,000,000 Beli pirate “C.E.O. Wells” attacked Karate Island. Their objective was to take over the island and capitalize on its tourism trade. The pirates completely crushed all resistance, Marines and civilians alike.
As Shima was returning to the island with his catch, he noticed smoke on the horizon. When he sat foot on the island he collapsed holding his head, due to an intense pain. When he regained consciousness he lay before the pirate captain. The pirates around him were feasting on the fish he had caught earlier.
Captain Wells noticed Shima had regained consciousness and called for silence. The crew watched as their captain advanced on the young chore boy. His sword was drawn and a grin laced his face. Captain Wells stopped in front of Shima, sword raised to deliver the downward thrust to end his life.
The sword fell and as if in a trance Shima moved his head out of its path, the sword stabbing the ground. Shima stood up, and Captain Wells drew his sword once more and charged. As if he knew where the blow would strike Shima simply side stepped the assault and landed a punch to the captain’s face. The captain stumbled back, dropping his sword as he fell to the ground. Shima picked up the fallen sword and advanced on the captain, the crew was dumb struck.
Still in his trance like state Shima advanced on the captain raising the sword. The defeated captain begged for his life while the crew stood around them. Shima struck him down and turned to face the crew, blood dripped from the sword. The crew turned tail and ran, but before they could make it to their ship, Marines surrounded them.
Backup had been called before the Marines of Karate Island were overwhelmed and Marine HQ Vice Admiral Tsuru had been in the area. The Corporate Pirates were captured without a fight, but as soon as they started running Shima collapsed.
When he awoke this time he was in bed aboard the Vice Admiral’s ship. Shima had no immediate recollection of what had happened with the pirates. The pirates had told Tsuru everything that had happened, how Shima had dodged a fatal blow after just gaining consciousness and how he had killed the captain of the Corporate Pirates. She recognized the raw and untrained Kenbunshooku (Color of Observation) Haki that lay dormant inside the young chore boy.
When Shima regained his strength a promotion ceremony was held for him in front of the entirety of Karate Island. Shima was promoted by Vice Admiral Tsuru to Petty Officer and to be transferred to Marine HQ for special training.
Due to his lack of experience, he was ordered aboard a ship that would traverse the Grand Line and so began his journey to Marine HQ. Dream: To find truth. Note: By "To come later on." I mean he'll learn them later on in the RP. But to start right now, he doesn't.

Pseudonym: Tiger LaMorte Real Name: Paldi Evalina (Surname first like in OP proper, so her given name is Evalina. Eva for short.) Gender: Female Age: 20 Birthday: October 13th Homeland: Doc(k) Island, West Blue Height: Slightly taller than average, but not by much. Weight: A woman never tells. Build: Curvy, but surprisingly muscular for your average woman. Hair: Bright orange and unkempt, waist-length. It tapers down from a big fuzzy mane atop her head to a silky smooth tail of hair at its end. Skin: Tanned but slightly sunburnt, like someone who was far too pale stood in the sun for far too long. Eye Color: Heterochromia: Left eye is bright icy blue, right eye is deep grey. Blood Type: A positive Race: Human Alliance: None. Currently works as a bounty hunter and spy-for-hire, among other odd jobs. Personality: Eva is equal parts naive and curious, and dangerously intelligent. She has a tendency to get very invested in even the simplest of tasks, and takes great pleasure in their completion. She trusts no one at first, but is just as likely to believe anything they say anyway. Overall, most of the time she is optimistic and all smiles (not that anyone ever sees them) but she is prone to bouts of seriousness or even depression. She absolutely, positively, without a doubt, hates pirates. Sort of. Kind of. Not really. She has issues with them, let's say. Weapons: None, though her gloves are tipped with "claws" that are coated with a powerful paralytic poison. Ship (if any): None, though she knows her way around them. Abilities: Evalina is a master of poisons and chemical concoctions. She is competent in close combat but not a master by far, instead she prefers the use of stealth and wit to lure her enemies into poisonous traps from afar. Given her close proximity with poisons, she has developed a natural immunity over time to just about every poison known to man...and a few known only to her. She is also well versed in history, culture, foreign languages, and many other academic studies. She is very intelligent and has a knack for quick learning, although her ability to put her vast array of knowledge to use is fairly limited. She's book smart, but not necessarily street smart. There are rumors that she learned to read Poneglyphs simply by deciphering the text without any prior knowledge of them, but the rumors are few and far between and outrageous enough that the Marines have not taken notice of her. Devil Fruit: None...yet. Rokushiki Ability: None, thought she is agile and intelligent enough that she is probably a few steps (or arcs) away from learning Soru and Geppou. Attack Names: Evalina has no specific attacks per se, but keeps a few poisons, concoctions, and traps handy at all times. Tiger Web: A quick release net that attaches on all four corners to the nearest space between walls using a glue similar to a spider's web, albeit much stronger. The netting is made of similar, less sticky stuff that can hold immense amounts of pressure against it, but is easily cut by sharp objects such as swords. Handy for hindering enemies or catching falling objects of interest. Poison Claws: As mentioned, Evalina's gloves are tipped with short claws on each finger that have a powerful paralytic inside them. Depending on the victim's constitution, the poison can render entire limbs or bodies useless, or even stop their heart and lungs. Noodle Maker: A special poison similar to a regular paralytic, the "noodle maker" essentially makes the victim's body so numb that it cannot function, causing their legs and arms to fall limp like wet noodles. Since it is not an actual paralytic there is no chance that the victim might suffer an untimely death thanks to heart failure. If she has enough time before being stuck in close range combat, she tends to set up vials of NM in her attacker's path to render them unable to fight. It also looks really silly. She may be a bit vindictive that way. Puppet Poison: A poison that has to be injected directly into the victim on their neck, but the effect is powerful enough that it is worth the risk. Puppet Poison affects the victim's brain, making them so susceptible to persuasion that Evalina essentially has full control over them, allowing her to use them as her puppet. As with all poisons the effect depends heavily on the victim's physiology, and a victim with enough god-like willpower can keep themselves from doing anything...unsavory. The poison can last anywhere from a few minutes to a full day, again depending on physiology. Someone with a weak immune system or a weakness to poison may end up as her personal slave for days on end. Just a Bomb: It's just a bomb. She has a lot of them for when things get too rough for regular poisons. Tear Gas, Sleep Gas, Flash Grenade: Evalina has poisonous bombs that she can employ should regular bombs be too cumbersome. Some contain a powerful tear gas that renders those who breathe it in incredible pain. It is known as tear gas not because it irritates the eyes, but because the pain is enough that it can make a grown man cry. Should that be too powerful there is also a simple sleeping gas that does what it says on the tin: makes the breather pass out for a while. In the event of a quick escape, there is the flash grenade which essentially lets out a big "BANG!" and a flash of light, rendering anyone caught in it unable to see or hear for a short amount of time. It really isn't poisonous at all. Love Potion No. 9: Her most powerful, and most unpredictable poison, Love Potion No. 9 is the ace up her sleeve. A single wiff of the stuff causes the victim's entire body to become absolutely confused about itself. The effects are random, but powerful. They could end up attacking friend and foe without restraint, fall into despair so deep they would never want to get up again, suddenly find themselves so unbearably hot that they strip naked, or imagine themselves on fire and dive into the nearest body of water. The name comes from a rather odd occurrence Evalina noticed, wherein 1 out of every 10 victims would imagine themselves madly in love with the nearest object: anything from a tree, to a bench, to even her. Given its unpredictable nature, Eva keeps this poison for dire situations only. She is, of course, immune to any poisons she uses in combat. Appearance: Evalina always wears a purple mask with built in goggles. For some reason the one covering her blue eye glows a similar shade of blue, and not even Evalina knows why. Her clothing is focused solely on maneuverability--A simple top and functional cargo pants and bags that carry her many affects. Her shoes are padded to muffle her footsteps, further improving her stealth. Her gloves are similarly modified to make it very hard for someone to feel when she is touching them...just in case she needs to pilfer something for a client. Over it all she wears a simple brown cloak out of habit: nothing is more functional adventuring wear than a cloak! While she may remove the cloak as needed, Evalina almost never removes her mask. The scars beneath it are very personal to her and she dislikes seeing them or having them seen. Background: Doc(k) Island is a rather large island notable for two things: it is populated almost entirely by doctors, alchemists, and other chemical aficionados, and the island is almost entirely comprised of docks. The "land" part of the island is comparatively small, lying in the center of the huge labyrinth of wooden structures. While the inhabitants are mostly peaceful scholars, the island is "ruled" with an iron fist by the pirate Percival Deadred and his crew. The Paldi family lived on the quarter known as the East-In Dock, one of the few areas that had immediate access to the herb-rich center island. As such they had access to the best plants for their experiments, making them the unofficial leaders of chemical advancement on the island. Evalina's parents, seeing her natural intelligence at a young age and fearing she would grow up too fast, tried to keep her from ever learning about the truth of their island's sordid "mayor" and his "officials." As such, she grew up blissfully unaware that her parents were constantly badgered by Deadred to create more and more lethal poisons as their "rent." Evalina was a brilliant girl despite her naivety, and she dreamed of creating concoctions that would cure any disease and bring happiness to all. She was sure she would grow up to be a famous alchemist, but her parents knew that her prowess with chemicals would inevitably lead to her working for Deadred just as they did. Because her parents wished to keep her from the truth Evalina was a mostly shut-in girl as a child, forbidden to interact with anyone her parents did not approve of first. As such she had few friends if any at all, but in secret she made one friend that helped her out of her shell: a spritely little boy named Mort. Eva and Mort would play in the docks and on the island almost constantly, and as they grew up their bond only became stronger. Despite Eva's attempts to keep her friendship with Mort a secret it was eventually discovered. Her parents reacted harshly and forbade Eva to ever see him again, but Eva was stubborn. Their friendship continued, and her parents worried more and more for their daughter. When she was thirteen Eva was rudely awakened to the reality of her seemingly simple life...when Mort appeared at her doorstep followed closely by his father, the dread pirate Percival Deadred. Deadred had found out about the alchemists' daughter "poisoning the mind of his son," and was there to make sure it did not happen again. He gave Mort a dagger and simple instructions: Kill Evalina. Mort could not bring himself to do it, but Evalina did not go unharmed. Mort's failed attempts to try to please his father left her with the scars she still wears on her face, and a deeper wound in her heart. Eva's family was forced to flee the island, while Deadred burned the entire East-In Dock down in his rage. The Paldis spent many years as wanderers, moving from island to island, ship to ship. Evalina's hatred of her so-called friend, a pirate and a liar, festered into the grudge she holds against all pirates today. Despite her intellect and childhood dreams she now works as a bounty hunter, using her mastery of chemicals to harm instead of heal, in a vain attempt to sate her grudge. Dream: To destroy piracy once and for all...is what she would like to say. She secretly holds on to her childhood dream of curing all ailments and using her alchemy for good. Note: Evalina's voice is muffled slightly by her mask, giving her an almost otherworldly voice. In other words, she >Talks like this.<

Name: Lynwood Gender: Female Age: 21 Birthday: November 1st Homeland: Urd town (destroyed), Lejre Island Height: Shorter than average Weight: 120 pounds Build: Thin, frail. Looks almost as if she'd break if you'd look at her wrong, although she's much tougher than she appears. Hair: Brown, long, wavy Skin: Pale Eye Color: Brown Blood Type: B Race: Human Alliance: None Personality: Caring, friendly, if a bit awkward. Prone to asking several questions at once sometimes, and other times acts completely removed from her environment. In those instances, it's difficult to tell if she's actually paying attention, or if her thoughts are elsewhere entirely. Generally, however, she is kind almost to a fault, and is incredibly devoted to her friends, and complete strangers as well. She is the sort of person to always find the best in someone, and will always assist someone in need. She has a profound love for the outdoors, and will become uncomfortable and withdrawn in large cities or places with unclean air. She is also very fond of traveling. Weapons: A long, curved knife. Ship (if any): Whichever ship the wind favors, as long as she is welcome aboard.
Abilities: A skilled survivalist, she can last for months or perhaps even years alone out in any natural environment, assisted only by her trusty knife and a vast understanding of both flora and fauna. Despite her lack of exact technical knowledge, she has a good sense for how to survive, and can pick up on things remarkably fast. In general, she's proficient in several areas, as long as she can find some grounding in what she's used to. She has a strong instinct for weather patterns, from her long experience outdoors. She's also skilled in reading the energy in an area, and can often notice things most others miss, even if they're looking out for it. In battle, she is both crafty and agile, and is trained in using her knife, despite the fact that she does not have any real taste for combat. Though she avoids battle whenever she can, at times when it is unavoidable she uses a flammable substance to light her blade on fire. In rare situations where killing cannot be averted, she is capable of entering a sort of berserker state, where her physical capabilities and stamina are increased drastically, although she cannot control herself. Also, she is a skilled seamstress.
Devil Fruit: None.
Rokushiki Ability: None
Attack Names: None.
Appearance: Small and slender, with long, nimble fingers. Her hair is oftentimes in front of her face, but on occasion she will push or tie it back, to reveal her soft, expressive features. She wears the ceremonial garb of her homeland, but is not unwilling to sometimes try on other clothes, although she hates attire that is difficult to move around in or rips easily. Traditional tattoos cover her arms, back, and legs.
Background: Lynwood was born and raised in Urd town, a quiet place on a large island in the Grand Line, with an environment that many would find unlivable. Her people greatly valued tradition and ceremonies, and depended on hunting and gathering to make a living. Her parents taught her how to get by in the harsh environment of her native island, as well as everything there was to know about their culture. From a young age, she loved exploring new places, and often ventured out to the furthest points of the island, often worrying the other villagers. But sure enough, every time she left she would undoubtedly return safely, always bringing back something to eat and a story to tell. After years of this behavior, she was recognized as one of the most competent hunters in the village, and was for the most part treated like one of the men. That is why, when she came of age, it was decided that she would go through the traditional ritual that was established for the male villagers. Anything else would have been unfitting for her. At the age of fourteen, she was given a tiny boat and told to set out to sea alone, not to return for a full year. It was a tradition that not many survived, but for Lynwood, the day she felt the sea breeze first rush through her body was one of the happiest times of her life. During this year, she met many people, and saw many new places, and also braved several dangers. After a year, she returned, eagerly awaiting the moment when her people would proudly welcome her back.
This was not to be.
When she stepped back onto the familiar sand of her home island, she knew that there was something amiss. The smell of the air was different than what she had known, and there was a horrible feeling in the air that she could not identify. Fearing the worst, she rushed to her village, fighting back tears of worry. She returned to find that the homeland she knew had been destroyed. The World Government had determined that the island that her people had lived in for thousands of years was in a strategically convenient location, and decided to set up a base there, which entailed removing the "dangerous" natives. This was the first time she ever found reason to take human life. She remembered a forbidden technique that her father once taught her, for entering a complete berserker state. When she woke up from her trance of mindless rage, her knife and hands were stained with blood, and she was standing sobbing in the lifeless patch of land that was once her home. There was no way life could survive in that place anymore, not for a very long time. She made a grave for her slaughtered kinsman, and also the Marines she had killed as well. From that day forward, she knew she would travel the world, using all that she knew to survive in the unfamiliar world, and always remembering the teachings and traditions of her people. In this fashion, she found a way to do what she loved, but still, there was something missing, and she could never really be happy until she could find it once again. Her tribe believed that, though everyone is capable of destruction, there will always be kindness and love in the world, and so, that thing that she was missing could surely be obtained somewhere, if only she knew where to look.
Dream: To find a new home.

Name: Rinji Gender: Male Age: 19 Birthday: March 3rd Homeland: Nekoshima Height: 5'4'' Weight: 110 Build: Toned Hair: Tiger-striped fur Skin: peach Eye Color: Gold Blood Type: A- Race: Neko Alliance: Pirates Personality: A very out-going, fun-loving Neko man. Usually has no problem talking to people. However, he does not like being interrupted, and he can sometimes rant on and on about nothing at all. There also comes a time when he will do violent acts at extremely random times when someone is outwardly rude or otherwise bothersome.
He also has a very strange laugh: "Mewhahahahaha!" Weapons: Natural Claws, Haki Ship (if any): The Panno Marie (A sloop ship)
Abilities: Color of Armaments Haki - Rinji is well versed in the ways of using one form of Haki. Though he is not a master of it, he can still use it in practical ways in combat. He can use it to slice through the air with his claws, or even roll it into a ball and throw it at someone like a cannon ball. He also uses it defensively, able to stop an on-coming attack, or even negate certain types of Devil Fruit powers such a Logias or more than one type of Paramecia.
Devil Fruit: N/A
Rokushiki Ability: N/A
Attack Names:
Rinji Tsume - Rinji slices his claws in the air and they travel in streams toward an enemy.
Rinji Dama - A ball of Haki energy in which Rinji may lunge toward an opponent, and knock them for a loop.
Rinji Handou - A close ranged kick move which strikes an opponent with his foot, and then uses Haki to enhance the damage by spreading.
Rinji Ken - A defensive punch which uses Haki to stop an attack in midair, in rare cases, if his concentration is vigorous, he could also deflect the attack.
Rinji Eight Palm Special - One powerful move that he possesses is not really combat ready quite yet. He places his hands in eight different places around in a circle, and then unleashes a gigantic wave of energy that has the ability to tip an entire ship over (but if he were on a ship as well, it would tip him over along with it). It takes a long time to power up, so he would have to use it while in hiding, or over long distances.
Appearance: Rinji is rather short, and is coated in a red, tiger striped fur. He is of the Neko people who are rarely seen outside of the Grand Line. He usually wears a button-up dress shirt with thin light-brown stripes and a red tie. He has brown dress shoes and khaki-colored dress pants that he roles up at the ankles to fit properly. He also wears a light brown fedora with a dark brown band around it. His eyes are, of course, very large and feline and his smile/snarl bares fangs.
Background: Born to Panno and Jisu on Nekoshima with two sisters, Migoto and Kiria. He remembers very little of his homeland, or how his family moved away from it when "the Great Tragety" struck his family. His mother became gravely ill, and his father set sail with them to find a cure, searching every island they came across for their finest doctors. However, none were able to help her, and she died very soon after they arrived on the third island.
Penniless and without a real home, Jisu had no choice but to sell their only supplies that could bring them back to their homeland, including their Log Pose. Soon, though, they settled down on a far-off island, after working for many shipping companies and keeping his family close. When Rinji was old enough, he began to help in his own way, taking up odd jobs that he could to help stabilize their finances.
After many weeks at sea, Jisu vanished, leaving his children stranded, worried sick about what befell their father. For years Rinji took whatever job he could to search for him, but he could only find small traces of where he had been. It wasn't long before his sisters and he gave up hope and started on their own. It wasn't long before the three of them also parted ways, swearing to meet back up on that very same island. After a tearful goodbye, the three of them set off on their own journies.
At length, on board a freighter ship carrying very precious cargo, Rinji found himself face to face with a pirate crew raiding the company's goods. After a long battle, Pirate Captain Cross took a shine to Rinji, and asked him to join their crew. At first, he thought to decline, however, seeing the damage done to the freighter, and seeing no real means of escape, he felt that humoring them would be the best method.
To his surprise, he learned more in that one year than he ever thought possible. Even when he found several ways to run away, he decided to stick with the crew on their journey. Captain Cross introduced him to the Devil Fruits, and several powers that were unknown to the average Joe. It was then that he discovered his innate power of Haki. With the help of the crew, he was able to build upon this power, and learned to fine-tune it in combat.
Once again, he was met with tragedy as more than half of the crew was captured by the Marines and sentenced to death. Rinji, and those who escaped with their lives were powerless to help them at that point. Alone once again, Rinji set off to find his own crew, but first he needed a ship. After a great ordeal at a local shipwright's guild and a tyrant who ran it, Rinji was able to plunder his own ship and set off on his journey to find his father, and find a crew that would aide him in his endeavors.
Dream: To find his past and regain what he had lost so long ago, and then find he homeland of Nekoshima. Adventure!

Madex finally seeing the opportunity to escape Madex took it, killing all the pirates and stealing their ship. At 16 Madex finally escaped that hellhole.
When Madex finally escaped he had a run in with a member of the Shichibukai Bartholomew Kuma. Because Madex actually put up a fight Kuma decided to capture him and bring him back for experimentation. Madex along with hundreds of others arrived at Dr. Rogers lab as candidates for Operation Devil Slayer. After weeks of test only a few test subjects remained Madex being one of them. Finally the operation began, unfortunately all the other test subjects perished making Madex the only survivor. Name: Runagai Chio Gender: Male Age: 20 Birthday: May 2nd Homeland: Sand Isle Height: 5'9'' Weight: 120 Build: Slender Hair: Dark Silver Skin: Tan Eye Color: Sky Blue Blood Type: A+ Race: Human Alliance: Marines, Lieutenant Personality: Though in his youth, Chio was quite the prankster and troublemaker, this soon changed as he prepared to join the Marines. He knew that he would have to get his act together if he was going to be accepted into the ranks of the Military. He's still pretty outgoing, though. He voices his opinion on any topic that he feels strongly about, but also knows how to listen. People tend to notice his playful nature as they get to know him more, but he doesn't always make it apparent. He also hates to be fake. If he doesn't like someone, he makes it quite apparent and doesn't take any crap from anyone if the situation turns dire, and a leader is needed to take control of the situation. He tries his best to make his emotions less obtuse, but sometimes, if he feels strong enough about something, this turns out to be an impossibility.
Weapons: Bo Staff - Chio is especially proficient with the use of his staff. This does not limit him to just one specific staff, he can improvise during a fight and kick the head off of a broom to use the stick as his weapon. Able to swing the staff around his body without harming himself, Chio can use any part of his hands and arms to control it with graceful and efficient methods of attack.
Ship (if any): N/A
Abilities: Chio's main power lies within his legs and his flexibility. He is able to jump from long distances, and his kicks can send a normal human being flying backward. He also has a certain grace to his movements that add to his balance and overall method of movements. His speed is palpable and his movements are highly unpredictable to the untrained eye.
Devil Fruit: N/A
Rokushiki Ability: Ran Kyaku - Chio's Storm Kick was taught to him directly by his father's eldest, retired commander, Dan Dan Misra. Chio's kicking techniques are perfect for this wondrous attack. Chio is able to use this technique at a closer range than normal, but it is still quite a sharp, strong, and fast technique in the way that he uses it.
Later, he was able to use this attack for its intended purpose through lots of practice, and great concentration. He still strives to develope this attack into much more advanced moves.
Soru - Soru was the first Rokushiki that Chio learned, and he learned it very fast.
Geppou - Chio is able to jump in mid-air, the energy from his feet able to support his weight even with no solid surface.
Attack Names: Chio Handou - His normal kicks are above average, especially after his combat training. Chio's legs are very well developed in terms of muscle growth and durability. His kicks are able to break through a cinder block.
Chio Yabai Handou - A very fast spinning kick, Chio extends his leg and uses momentum to give it speed and advanced damage. This has the potential to knock a normal human being completely off balance. He is able to jump onto his hands and spin for a similar effectiveness.
Chio Joutou - A jump that lunges Chio eight feet into the air without the need to a running start. In combat, it can be used to augment his attacks into flying kicks.
Chio Issou - A defensive move where Chio uses his superior flexibility in order to escape a hold, or similarly tight situations. His slender, lanky form assists in this.
Chio Raitoni Handou - The move that earned Chio his nickname "Lightning Legs". A series of multiple kicks that some have said are so fast that they leave traces in the air. These kicks are more proficient and effective when used against one target.
Ran Kyaku: Chio Katana - Chio utilizes his Storm Kick into an extremely sharp blade-like kick that has the potential to slice two two-by-four clean in half. It is short ranged.
Ran Kyaku: Chio Kamisori - Chio uses soru three times to flip himself over to unleash three Rankyaku blades from his flip kicks side-by-side.
Appearance: He is very slender with lengthy platinum white hair of which he takes extreme care of with hair care products and a comb that he carries on his person. He has very small sky-blue eyes. He is very nimble, and flexible; if he bends at his waist, he is able to put his full palms flat on the ground. When he is not in his Marines uniform, he wears a blue sweatshirt with blue sweat pants. He wears thin black, gloves for traction. His blue sandals are very thin-soled and easily versatile, as is the rest of his outfit. He always wears clothes that are easy to move around in. In winter, the cold chills him down to the very bone. His cloth-thickness increases substantially, but he usually wears similar clothes.
Background: Born to Runagai Kamlyn and Aika on Kuroshima in South Blue. In his earliest childhood, Chio thought that it was normal to be hit in the face when he seemed to be acting up. He also thought that all of the other kids were being cut by broken shards of glass on the back of their hands when they needed a lesson in discipline. Chio was brutally beaten by his father, a former pirate, on a regular basis, and anytime he showed bruises on his face or any place on his body that was visible, he was forced to stay home out of the public's eye. It got to the point where Chio had to wear long-sleeve shirts in order to cover up the scars from his horrible mistreatment.
Through it all, his mother was forced to stay silent and never speak against the cruelty she had to witness. It wasn't until a group of Marine soldiers led by First Lieutenant Goro came to the house in search of a fugitive. Kamlyn denied them to search his house, no matter what sort of orders they were under, and eventually the group had to enter by force. This was when Lt. Goro himself found a horribly battered Chio in his room, playing with toys, looking up at him with a solid black eye.
Kamlyn and Aika were immediately taken away, and trialed for obvious child abuse, and Kamlyn was trialed for Piracy and sent to Impel Down. When it came to putting Chio up for adoption/orphanage, Goro could not see this boy living from orphanage to orphanage after witnessing the aftermath of his brutal treatment. He put in a request to take the boy into his own house, and after serious consideration and support from his wife, Kia, he was named the Adoptive Father.
Chio was shown a much better lifestyle for a boy his age. Though the mental scars would take a very long time to mend, Goro was willing to accept this challenge and use it to Chio's advantage. How a monster like Kamlyn could treat such a talented, nice boy in such a gruesome way was beyond what he could fathom. The fact that he was a pirate grew on Chio, and Chio grew up hating pirates with an unrelenting passion.
Though Chio could be somewhat of a handful. When he was given some freedom to act, he had a slight bad habit of taking it a little too far. He was seldom caught, but the friends he made in school suspected him of many pranks that he pulled, one of them involving construction of a spider web made of chewing gum that stuck to every side, top to bottom of one of their lockers. However, when it came to bullies, Chio gave them no chance to even consider bringing him under their tyranny. He got into one or two fights because he was not going to be pushed around by those who felt they could mark him as their inferior.
Once Chio was of age, Goro encouraged him to join the Junior Marine program and learn the ways of Military life. It did not take much to convince him, however, as he looked up to Goro as a grand father figure, and as such, he aspired to be such a great man as him. Instantly, the boy went into his lessons of the hardships that the Military life held. When he compared it to the hardships he had already been through, it was little more than a cakewalk.
As he reached the age of 18, it was time for basic training, and even though leaving his family behind was perhaps one of the hardest things he's done in his life, he approached it with great tenacity.
The yelling and the stress that the Training Instructors put them through was of no comparison to his absolute hatred of pirates. Chio excelled at his training, even the parts that he had more trouble with were of no real concern as the repetition he endeavored flourished his knowledge on any subject. He was especially proficient in the ways of combat. He blew everyone away in the run time. He even set a brilliant first place record in Basic Training for fastest mile and a half at six minutes and thirty eight seconds.
Chio graduated Basic training with three ribbons and a ton of pride as he approached Goro in his complete dress uniform, kicked his heels together, and saluted. He was now the newest member of the Marine's Infantry.
For two years, Chio was given specialty training from Goro's old commander, Former Vice Admiral Dan Dan Misra. Within the first year, Chio was able to use the technique of Soru, and before he could completely master the Ran Kyaku, Dan Dan died of heart failure at the age of 88. Chio, mourning the loss of his friend and trainer, moved on to his first Marine Base. Without a trainer, his progression slowed considerably, but through hands-on experience, he was optimistic of his chances.
Dream: Through out his life, Chio has seen some horrible acts of humanity. And after experiencing some of it first hand, he has never aimed for greatness, nor has he aimed for fame. He simply wants to be a man, in almost every meaning of the word. He wants to be a father figure that someone can truly learn from and look up to, and he wants to be a teacher that can bring inspiration to his pupils. Chio wants to be an honorable man.
