"Well, sorry, but what am I supposed to do?! My... what I can do, it doesn't work offensively!"
Elly had some difficulty hearing Astral at first, more difficulty still responding. Less that she felt put down by his words, rather the opposite, she felt a little annoyed to be written off just like that. More, that with her hearing muted, she couldn't really tell how loud she was and so came off as shouting. Though in this situation, that might have been necessary.
"Besides, look at them! They're not even moving, you want me to keep guard over them?! There, done, I did what you said! They're staying put!"
To further emphasize her point, she gestured fairly weakly and sneered. There wasn't much further opportunity to defend herself as already Apollo began his assault. While she didn't suffer like some of the others, having had the chance to make use of the ear plugs, her attention was certainly caught. Although lacking the memory of being under his spell, she had some idea of the risks involved with his power. Still though, she found herself at least a little curious as to what his voice sounded like and thought she might like to hear it for real sometime, if such a thing was safely possible. Her wandering mind was eventually drawn though to one of the few people actually intent on leaving it seemed.
"Hey, you want me to get that one? Keep her here, I mean?!" she said, gesturing to Eliza in response.

Elrond sat upon the rock as the city loomed closer. Now, only a few moments away, the time was upon them. However, Elrond had no idea just what was happening within the Magical Council.
Seeing that Asmoday and Qi were chatting and seeming to be getting along well, and Azealya Thorn didn't appear to want to chat, and Dofun and Druid were having a discussion about smelling and magic, he looked to Ian and Lakin.
Out of all the new members, they appeared the most stressed about going back to the Magical Council, and he wondered why.
"I know why you two joined my Guild," said Elrond to the two people. "Because of the delicious food, right?" he laughed. "But, I can tell you're not exactly happy."
Pointing to the city, he asked, "Do you have a grudge against this place?"
---
Knowing that Apollo was about to sing, Astral Lance kept his ear plugs in tight. Still, he could hear Elly yelling about Eliza.
"Since Aether has abandoned us, yeah! Keep her subdued, if you can! Can't you use that power you used to collapse the tunnels to, I don't know, keep them where they are if they try to move? These are the Magical Council we're talking about! Just because they're staying still doesn't mean they're not going to strike!"
Regardless if Elly managed to hear him or not, Apollo's song had begun.
Casandra had gained Apollo just enough time to start the song. Confused, Mark didn't get it at first, but quickly strange feelings and emotions rushed through his body. It caused him to freeze in place as voices yelled in his mind. He was worthless. He was nothing. Rank 1? It was equivalent to trash.
"Stop it!" yelled Mark, trying to cover his ears. "Stop the sound! Get out of my head!"
Jericho, for the first time, had turned his attention back to the scene in front of him and away from the window. A bead of sweat poured down his face and his lip quivered, but he remained seated, enduring.
Mark couldn't have prevented Apollo's slap even if he had wanted to, for the song was too strong. Though the slap held only the power of a normal man, Mark was in such a bad way that it caused him to fall to the ground.
"Perfect!" bellowed Astral Lance, laughing wildly. Though he could faintly hear the song as well, his jubilation at seeing Mark on the ground overwhelmed even that. Astral Lance pulled out his lance and slashed the air, sending long waves of electricity which slammed into Mark and the floor around, throwing up clouds of dust and debris.
Astral Lance touched Apollo's shoulder, the signal to stop singing, and he waited for the dust to clear. Once it had though, it was not what Astral Lance had expected.
Mark was standing, a look more angry and frustrated than ever before on his face. His ears were trickling blood and upon his fingers the same blood could be seen.
"If I cannot hear," bellowed Mark, "then I have nothing to fear!" Mark looked to Azriel, and if he was still able to fight after Apollo's song, he commanded, "Take down the singing man! And Jericho, assist Eliza! I know not what that small girl is capable of and I do not wish to find out!"
Mark did not wait to hear their answers, for he could not either way. Instead, he focused back on Astral Lance. Cracking his knuckles, a strange blue aura appeared to cover them, forming a kind of transparent armor. "I have had enough!"
Astral Lance stepped back, confused and surprised. Apollo was his ace in the hole. It was the key to the entire thing. His power to make others fall under his command like a slave was exactly how they were going to get information out of him, but now... Now he could not even hear a question if it was asked to him!
"Damn it," muttered Astral Lance. "We need to retreat! Elly, Apollo, lets get out of here!" He called back towards the hall where they had originally entered. "Spider Thighs, you still there? Get back to the tunnel! I promise I'll get you plenty of tasty soldiers later!"
It appeared that Mark, however, had other plans. "DO NOT LET THEM ESCAPE ALIVE!" And he jumped through the air, fist raised, aiming for Astral Lance.

"Ooooh, oh yes I mimic anything, incluuuuuuuding this transformation magic you speak of. Let's see here...Ah! Yes!"
The clown's neck shot up to a length of 20 feet without ever wobbling. Instead, the image of Jupiter's face looked around from its new, absurd height, terrifying each and every bird that ever came near.
Back on the rock, Dofun's hands had turned into those of giraffe's, which he clipped and clopped repeatedly. "Yes. I know this magic now. Oooooh, how fun, how fun! Later, I should show all of you what the circus animals looked like! I always wanted to be an -" He screeched. "Yup! A bit odd to pronounce, but hooray! And yes, you got that right, voice several feet below me! I interact with a lot of people. I'm a clown, it's a bit expected of me. Just trying to spread goodwill and cheer! I'm sure the city folks will LOVE my new, hilarious appearance!"

Moments after Astral Lance promised more food later, a horrible voice screeched back, filling the room.
"NOOOOOOOOOO! I WANT IT NOW"
Spider Thighs rushed into the room, swatting away anyone in its way. The boy's face, as decayed and empty as it was, contorted into a caricature of rage and twisted flesh. Fresh blood stained and dripped from his open mouth. He continued to screech and scream, their voice distorted.
"WANT IT NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW"
Since the guards had had no magic to speak of, the spider's ability was kept in check. And yet, a raging torrent shot out from the child's boy, attempted to cover all in front of it in a web harder than diamonds. Any who would try to get close would feel the full force of a leg either slamming into or stabbing through them as if they were nothing.

When Jupiter saw Dofun transform in to this monstrosity he felt relieved. Most people might have thought that this new form was scary, but somehow Jupiter found it a lot less horrifying than Dofun's real form as a satanic clown. --- Azriel kept on laughing at Astral's failures until he heard Apollo sing his song. First the laughter stopped. Then he stopped grinning and started looking more and more sad and eventually he looked just plain depressed: ”Yo. I'm not just feeling this right now now. Maybe I should just go home or something...” He wanted to go home, but he didn't have enough willpower to do even that. All he could was lie on his chair and hope he wasn't here. Mark's orders fell on to deaf ears as Azriel was too unmotivated to do anything. Even seeing a giant spider use a young boy's butt as a cannon to shoot web with wasn't hilarious enough to cheer Azriel up. It would seem like as long as Apollo would keep on singing Azriel would be unable to do anything at all.

The frown on Qi's face couldn't have been possibly more sour at Dofun's transformation. The clown (and several other members) had disturbed her before, but this was going too far. Sheep bleated in terror as it shook horribly. Looking off into the distance, she sighed with wide eyes.
"There is nothing in the world that could possibly be worse than that."
---
Spider Thighs ruined Apollo's day.
To be more specific, Spider Thighs made Apollo forget all of his previous disappointments that day.
Previously, he had been esctatic to see Mark fall under the influence of his spell. He nearly forgot about how the man had punched Casandra in the face, who was now standing at a distance with blood trickling down her nose and a battered face. She otherwise seemed to be OK.
Apollo covered his mouth when Astral Lance tapped his shoulder. So this was it. He was done. He held in a sigh of relief, knowing that, in the end, he succeeded and he was one step closer to obtaining immortality.
But then Mark tore his own ear drums. Of all the reactions people had to his voice, this was entirely new. He had seen people worship him, fall into despair or even kill themselves, but never had he seen someone whose will was powerful enough to deafen himself to escape his control. This was awful. It was entirely unexpected.
His heart began to race, hearing Mark order someone to "take down the singing man." But who was it? He didn't care for the affairs of humans, so he didn't know any of the guild members by name, even Mark himself. He started to back away and went to run, when Spider Thighs blew its load right in his face.
The web covered him from head to toe, leaving barely any room for him to breath. He tried desperately to get out but the substance only got harder. Casandra tried to get him out of the web, but her tugging and pulling did nothing.
"Help me!" Apollo pleaded. "Please, help me! Don't let that thing eat me! Please!"
Covered by a layer of web, most of the manipulative properties of the siren's voice were gone, only leaving a beautiful, but near harmless swan song. Unfortunately for him, near shrieking as he was, his cries sounded very much like a child.
---
"Oh," Eliza said, regaining herself after Mark's command, "young lady, you are in quite the pickle, aren't you?"
Elly would see that Eliza had suddenly vanished. It was like viewing a poorly edited cut in a film. In one frame, she was there. In the next, she was gone.
Suddenly, she would hear another voice behind her.
"You're not like the others, are you? No, I think you're a lot like me, lost and confused. Do you like ponies, Miss?"
Pony Love was back in all of its sparkly glory. Looking like a child's cartoon come to life, the androgynous sprite swiped off glitter from its rainbow colored hair. It smiled at Elly innocently, though it would be up to her own perception if she saw it that way.

"Damn it, we need to retreat! Elly, Apollo, lets get out of here! Spider Thighs, you still there? Get back to the tunnel! I promise I'll get you plenty of tasty soldiers later!"
"Oh, ok then... thought I was gonna get to like, have a whole chapter for my fight, with a cool title and stuff. Forgot I was an NPC..."
When various substances started to hit the fan, Elly had the good sense to remove the earplugs in case Astral or the others had something to say. And wouldn't you know it, they did! She stopped mid-run though, en route to Eliza... or was it Pony Love?
"Sorry ma'am, but I can't stay and chat. My boss said we have to go. For what it's worth though, I don't really like ponies, I got bit by one once as a kid and it was pretty scary. So yeah..."
Returning to her kindly master, Elly noticed Apollo in trouble, and neared him without actually trying to work though the mess of webs. Partly because she wasn't sure it would help given what little effect Cassandra had, but mostly because she didn't want to touch any of that stuff after how she had seen it come to be.
"Hey, should I like, I dunno... walk us out of here? If we're trying to escape, it wouldn't be too hard I don't think."
Blinking, she tried not to dwell too much on whether or not what she said made sense, instead waiting to see how Astral acted. Chances were, she wouldn't even need to walk, and he'd have some amazing way of simply fixing the problem altogether.

Spider Thighs was rampaging.
Apollo was trapped.
Aether was no where to be seen.
Azealya was miles away.
And Elly appeared to be their only hope.
Though Astral Lance had tried to run, it did not take long for Mark to grab him and force him to the ground. Mark held a huge glowing green fist in the air, threatening to end Astral.
Of course, Astral could get out of this situation. He could become lightning, at least temporarily, enough time to escape. But he'd leave all the others behind, and that was something he couldn't do. No matter how much he didn't want to say it, he needed them. He needed to come up with a new plan, and though he may have been able to harm Mark at that very moment, he did not want the man dead. He needed him, even if at the moment he could not hear a single question Astral had to offer.
So, he could only rely on the group he had formed in hopes of dominating the Magical Council.
"If you can get us out of here," yelled Astral Lance as Mark prepared to punch downwards, "then do it now, Elly! DO IT NOW!"

Ian looked down at Lakin as he continued to sleep. Sighing slightly Ian glanced up at Elrond. "We don't really have a problem with the place. More like a problem with some of the people that make up the Magic Council. Well one person in particular. Although Lakin hates them only because I do."
Ian moved his gaze from Elrond to the sights before them and then back again. "I'll tell you this though. Just getting near the place is making me angry."

"If you can get us out of here, then do it now, Elly! DO IT NOW!"
"O-Ok!"
Tensions were high and the situation was FUBAR. They really were up a creek, and the worst part of all was that she was their lifeline. Elly was never good under pressure, let alone her power. On a good day she had a hard time using it, and this was the worst possible day she could imagine. Still though, it was up to her. She tried to do a risk assessment as to whom she could walk with, but when Astral shouted out and she saw the fist drawing back, she knew she had no time. Shaking her head, she took off in a run towards Astral and Mark, the characteristic distortion and hum forming in the area about her as she went. Her aim, was a diving tackle, to crash into the both of them. She was herself a small thing with no remarkable strength, so it was probably like colliding with a brick wall, but as long as she touched the both of them it was fine.
"Close your eyes!"
---
What followed, if either Astral or Mark kept their eyes open, was like having their field of vision drawn inwards to a blur of nothingness. Not an instant later though and there expanded to replace their loss of sight of the council room, sight of the grassy field just outside the remaining tunnel on the outskirts of the city. All in all the closet analogy was like looking through a magnifying glass at differing lengths; seeing the location of the council room become a haze and invert in all directions, only to be replaced just as soon with the clarifying vision of the field expanding in all directions till it appeared normal.
The sensation though was much worse, and not reliant on sight. The feeling of having every part of their body drawn towards a singular point all at once, crushed and compressed to a size finer than even a grain of sand. As always this point originated somewhere in Elly's body, and the farther away from it something was when she walked with it, the more dire the shift was. For her it was fairly unpleasant though she had grown relatively used to it, but for people she had walked with before, most were left physically ill and disoriented for some time after and some developed worse symptoms still. Part of the problem was that the process wasn't just one way. After being compressed and taken from the council room, they then expanded from that same point in exactly the opposite fashion, in the grassy field she walked to. Much the opposite in every way, having every part of their stretched and pushed outwards from that point all at once, till they resumed their original position exactly.
A minor detail that as always, she brought everything within a certain area with her when she walked. Because she was touching the two mages, the walk would not be dangerous, or even fatal. Still though, when they emerged, everything in that space around her before she walked (even the floor) exploded outwards from that new point. The end result was that if everything went according to plan, the three of them would be in the field in pretty much the same position they had been back in the council room, surrounded by chunks and pieces of the room itself strewn about them across the field.
And of course, the whole unpleasant experience fresh on their minds and feeling fresh in their bodies.
"Th-There... I did it!"
The process was rather taxing on Elly, but only insofar as it was rather tiring. She was fairly used to the process, and so didn't really suffer any of the symptoms beyond simple fatigue. Backing off of the pair, she stumbled to her feet, and left them to wallow while she tried to regain her concentration. After all, she still had to walk at least a few more times.
"I'll go get the others, but... who do you want me to bring?"
Bringing her hands together and closing her eyes, she waited long enough for a response from Astral if one was to come, and then made the return trip to the council chamber in much the same way.
---
A hum, distortion and sudden outwards explosion of grass and dirt came out of seemingly nowhere in the council chamber, and shortly after Elly. All in all only a matter of tens of seconds had passed from Astral giving her the order, her grabbing and walking with the pair of them and then her return, but it was probably a sight to behold.
Either way there she stood, amidst a littered floor of grass and dirt, a clean crater of actually missing floor not far from her. Her eyes were set now on Apollo and Cassandra, though she still wasn't within walking distance yet, so could probably be intercepted if anyone cared to.
(OOC: Lemme know Hito, if Mark wasn't supposed to be brought along. I can change the post to suit whatever you need.)

Astral Lance was not expecting the entire process to be so hard on him. His vision was blurry and sick to his stomach, but he could see Mark, who still had his fist raised, was not attacking. He had been caught off guard just as well.
"Back!" shouted Astral Lance, pointing his hand at Mark. A bolt of lightning shot from his finger tips and and nicked Mark on the side of the face; Astral Lance's magic was not spot on due to the nausea. Mark stumbled backwards, covering the small wound on his face, but otherwise remained on his feet, which Astral Lance was amazed at for he could barely sit up.
Taking the short moment he had before Mark recovered to look around, he found himself, along with Elly, located outside the city.
"You fiend!" yelled Mark, stumbling towards Astral Lance. Astral shot lightning at him once again, keeping him at bay, but it wouldn't last for long.
"I have a better idea, Elly," said Astral. "Take me with you back into the HQ, but let's leave this guy out here. It'll take him some time to get back to the HQ, and that might just be the amount of time I need to..." Astral held his stomach. The effects of the walk were still affecting him. "Just get us back into the HQ!"
And with that, they would leave Mark alone in the field, cursing. However, high in the sky, Mark spied a small bit of flying rock...
---
The process back was no more enjoyable than the process from. Landing on the cold hard floor of the Magical Council HQ meeting room, Astral Lance struggled to get to his feet. Examining the situation at hand, Astral tried to figure out the best plan.
On their side they had Elly, Apollo, Cassandra, and Spider Thighs.
Against them, they had Azriel, Pony Love, and Jericho.
"Damn it," muttered Astral Lance. "It wasn't supposed to be like this... Listen up everyone! Mark is gone! We can handle just three of the Council! We can beat them!"
Astral shot a bolt of lightning at the floor which attached Apollo to the ground. The heat from the lightning was enough to weaken the web enough for it to easily snap, freeing Apollo.
"Keep yourself together, Apollo! We still need your voice. That Azriel, he's obviously weak to your song! Keep him at bay!"
Spider Thighs, on the other hand, didn't appear to be commandable at all now. But perhaps that's just what he needed. "Spider! I know your hungry, probably for magic, right? See that old man over there! Go eat him! My treat!"
Jericho, had not moved at all through the entire process, finally stood. He placed his pipe on the table where he sat, then cracked his knuckles. "I may be old," said Jericho, "and I have never seen a creature such as this, but let us see how much fun we can have, spider."
As web shot in Jericho's direction, the old man lifted up his hand, freezing the web solid. Jericho then swung his fist at the frozen, brittle web, shattering it into thousands of shards. "Can you hope to overcome the might of an Ice Dragon Slayer? Let us see!"
With Spider Thighs hopefully directed towards Jericho, that left just Pony Love and Elly. "Might not be a fair match up," muttered Astral Lance to Elly as he finally managed to stand on two feet. "Just talk to her, Elly. I know this person, before she was part of the Council that is. Just talk to her, and if things get messy, just walk her out of here, if you need to."
With that, all the battled had been arranged. Now, with the Council hopefully preoccupied with the Oracion Seis and Mark miles outside the HQ, that gave Astral Lance the time to make his move.
"Keep fighting, team! We will win this fight! We are the Oracion Seis!"
Astral Lance ran out of the room as quickly as he could. Though Mark was unable to give him any answers now that he was unable to hear, at the very least, perhaps he could find the secret record hall that was only accessible to Mark, and then perhaps he could gain the knowledge he sought.
Little did he know, Asmoday was on his way right to him.
---
Elrond leaned his head to the side at Lakin and Ian's answer. "Problems with the Magic Council, huh? I can't imagine why. I've always heard they were pretty good people. Strong people too! Well, maybe once we get there we can settle some of our differences. After all, this is meant to be a good day! It's the day we will become an official Guild!"
The next thing Elrond knew, however, was that the weight upon the rock which the Guild had been flying upon suddenly increased dramatically near the back. Turning around in surprise, Elrond couldn't believe it. Standing there was a tall, huge man with bleeding ears and only whites for eyes, and he didn't look happy.
"You follow the lineage of Validus Vir," said Mark, looking at Elrond. "Then you must be Elrond of Renascence Guild. You are early, but perhaps that is a blessing. Do not attempt to ask me questions, for I cannot hear your answer, but just know that I am Mark of the Magical Council, Rank 1! Now fly, quickly now! The entire city is in grave danger! If you wish to become official, than this is the time to prove yourself!"
Elrond certainly wasn't expecting this! Peeking over the edge of the flying rock, the ground was hundreds of meters below them. Just imagining that a man had the power to jump that high was too much for him. But to have one of the Council Members flying with him, and Rank 1 at that, he knew this was his chance.
"Alright guys, looks like we've got one more mission to do until we're official! Let's get to that Magical Council HQ!"
Suddenly, the flying rock sped up tremendously in speed, though it would still take a few minutes time before they would reach the building.
Azealya was in top freak out mode. This was supposed to be the man Astral Lance needed to talk to! But if he was here, did that mean Astral Lance had failed? Mark certainly looked like he had been in some kind of scuffle. She could only hope for the best and hide out of sight.
How all the other members of the Renascence Guild would react, however, was yet to be seen, but Lakin and Ian would surely be surprised to see Mark of all people.

Jupiter was surprised when he saw Mark jump on Elrond's rock express and he immediately wanted to throw him off and call him a fraud and a liar. That was his nature, he wasn't trusting to strangers and while he sometimes got in trouble for this usually it was for the best. However as he stared intensely at Mark for a moment behind his sunglasses Jupiter knew he wasn't lying. ”This guy is really part of the council. I know from my last visit to that place.” Even then Jupiter still had his doubts. ”...This still pretty suspicious though. Why would a guy like this just suddenly jump here and ask for our help?” --- Azriel continued being miserable at the council room not really caring what was going on and so Elly teleported Mark and Astral away or something like that... Whatever... ”Yo. How would my fanclub react if they saw me like this? I am their hero. I can't let them down. No time for this.” And so finally Azriel's mind cleared up his mind and stood up from his chair and then pointed at those few remaining Oracion members in here, while leaning back very heavily. ”Play time's over.” He tried to look cool, but some would argue that he just looked silly while doing this. ”Angel Soul: Uriel.” Being the only character in this RP who actually names his moves Azriel began his transformation in to one of his angel forms. Magic Girl Transformation: Suddenly Azriel's beautiful theme song started playing and all of his clothes disappeared only leaving behind bright light covering a certain very strategical part of his body. The light was very bright; Samson's sun magic got nothing on this. Not even with Jupiter's shades could a person look at this without damaging their eyes. Next Azriel's hair color began to turn lighter and would end up being light brown after a moment. Then it was time to end his nakedness for now. Sure, This was Fairy Tail, but enough is enough. And so first a white robe with fancy ornaments, as well as a pair of sandals appeared out of thin air on Azriel and then after a short moment a dark red appeared on him as well. He wore it on top of the white one. Extending his hand forward Azriel caught a magnificent sword falling out of skies and grabbed it. After a second the blade bursted in powerful and bright flames. To finish of his transformation mighty looking red and yellow wings spread from Azriel's back. You might think you could attack or otherwise disturb Azriel's transformation, which did take a moment, but it would not work; magic transformations defy the laws of space and time and in fact all of this happened in a blink of an eye. Now in his mighty Uriel form Azriel was ready to do battle. The reason Azriel was called a prodigy was not really because he was incredibly smart or talented, but more because of how incredibly powerful and versatile his Angel Soul magic was. ”Yo. Time to heat things up.” While the pun was absolutely horrible the others might notice that Azriel's voice sounded a bit different from before. His voice sounded more divine, fitting for his new appearance. Before Astral arrived to free Apollo from the spider's thighs Azriel attacked the siren by swinging his burning sword towards him and shot a blazing inferno towards Apollo, assuming that he would have no real way to avoid this attack. Soon afterwards Elly returned with Astral, but not with Mark. It would seem like for the first time ever Oracion Seis had done something somewhat smart. Or maybe just fleeing would have been the smart move here. ”Yo. Welcome back.” Azriel did not give Elly too much time to assess the situation around her as after only a second or two he would try to stab her with his blazing, heavenly sword. --- Not giving a damn of what was going on around here Aether had made his way to the council cafeteria and was now staring at the goods on display thinking what he would want to taste first. ”Hmm... I think I'll take some of those chocolate cookies.” --- Among it's other facilities the magic council headquarters also had a prison. It was not very large and did not house very many prisoners, but those who were there were there for a long time and usually for a good reason as you would have to do something really bad to end up there. All the inmates also were magic users and some if not all of them had chains that prevented them for using their magic. In his cell prisoner 78 had just finally woken up, completely unaware of what was going on around this building that sadly was his home for now. The prisoner was a man with a really long and unkept black hair and beard. Due to that it was quite hard to guess how old he was, maybe somewhere between 25-55? The prisoner wore the standard prisoners outfit issued to all prisoners here and he had the anti-magic chains hanging from his wrists. ”Another day here in this hell hole.” The man spoke with incredible bitterness in his voice as he picked up a rusty nail and 'drew' a line on the wall. The wall was full of lines, counting the days prisoner 78 had been here and if someone were to actually go through all of the lines would they find that this man had been here for roughly 12 years.

Elly was run through with the sword before she knew what was coming. She remained silent in shock as she went to grip the sword that was impaled through her torso. When the sword was pulled from her, she would fall to the ground, bleeding out until she was cold and dead.
"The girl was the wrong one to slay," a voice spoke like a howling wind. "Only Elly kept my true magic at bay."
Apollo arrived, having been rescued by Astral Lance, and now wildly furious in the wake of Elly's death. His expensive clothes were in burned tatters from Azriel's previous attack. Only his pants were intact, leaving a fraction of his jacket behind. Red burn marks did little to stop the overwhelming emotion any normal person would feel, seeing Apollo's exposed body. It seemed his magic manipulation extended to more than just his voice.
"Have you heard tales of creatures who pull sailors to the creeping deep, trapped forever to wail in silent shrieks? There is more to sirens' songs than poetry and speech. Your rotten soul is now mine to keep."
The words would be weighted, almost as though they themselves were physical forces, bearing down upon Azriel in fear and terror. With a rapid dash, Apollo was suddenly on the opposite side of Azriel's sword hand. His long fingernails attempted to claw into one of his angelic wings.
It was as though gravity was suddenly exponentially stronger. For whatever reason, Apollo's arm would be like a massive weight, threatening to bring Azriel to the ground. If this worked, the siren would then stomp onto the wing, subduing it with the same force. If he failed, he would merely fall on his back and be open to attack.
---
"Wow, look what Azriel was going to do to you! Who are real the villains here, you think?"
The real Elly had been elsewhere, standing next to two adorable unicorn drawing patterned chairs and a pink table with an assortment of ice cream decorated about it. Sitting at the end opposite Elly was a small girl with many freckles dotting her face. It wasn't likely that Elly knew what Eliza looked like in her days with Fable, but she might have been able to infer this was an illusion on her part.
"Don't worry," Eliza said, waving her hand. "No one can see us here. We're invisible in sight, sound, touch, smell or... taste."
The young girl glanced worriedly at Spider Thighs, not too far away. She shoved a large scoop of strawberry ice cream in her mouth and was soon smiling again. She pointed her spoon at the conflict between Azriel and Apollo.
"With my magic, you can't hear the siren monster or be affected by any illusion spells! Isn't that cool?"
Leaning back in her chair, she looked up at Elly with a pout.
"Pony Love told me you were bitten by a pony. Must have not been a very nice pony, but I can't imagine that because I've never not known a nice pony!"
---
Qi blinked in surprise when Mark arrived. She listened closely to what he had to say. Her heart raced in fear and anticipation. The Council, a group of all powerful mages, needed their help. She couldn't believe it. Was this situation really something they should have been getting involved with?
Getting off her summon, she looked to her with a worried smile.
"I'm sorry, Sheep, but could I ask you to go back? I need to meditate on my magic if I'm to be any help in this situation. Alert our friends if they don't know of this situation already, especially him. He's worked with dark mages before. If there's any he knows there, he'll be of invaluable help."
"Yes, Qi! Baaaah!" Sheep cheered.
With that, Sheep faded away with a glowing light. Qi sat slowly on the ground in a cross legged position. She brought her hands together and closed her eyes, trying to forget about the world around her, the wind blowing through her hair as the earth below her dashed across the sky.
---
When the group from Renascence would arrive, they would see, plastered on the roof, was a glorious neon sign. It blinked in pinks and purples, reading in fancy cursive:
THEY ARE ATTACKING IN THE ROOM BELOW. HELP.
Mark might have recognized it as part of Eliza's magic.

What an emotional day for the usually objective and detached Druid. At the moment, he was feeling an odd transition from shock, to amazement, to jealousy, to anger and then finally back to amazement and excitement. The sudden transformation displayed by the clown was incredible. He managed to alter his body much like Druid, becoming an exaggerated giraffe. The human portion within him made Druid a little jealous and bruised his ego, seeing somebody that could so easily copy and use his magic that he worked so hard on to master. Regardless, it was a magic that only worked if the user heavily studied the anatomy of a certain organism, which was curious. Had this clown studied the anatomy of a giraffe? More importantly...
Druid gasped audibly as he realized the potency of this magic. It was a magic that not only copied images and made illusions using them, which in and of itself could have numerous theoretical methods that Druid could think of, but it could also copy magic. It COPIED. MAGIC.
It's impossible to copy something without understanding it first, which means that this clown held what Druid so desperately needed and wanted, a method to get to the source of all of magic. This magic that this clown held and used so aloofely was the most enlightening magic Druid had yet to encounter. It was a magic that broke down a target's magic to its essentials and taught this magic to the owner of the mimicry ability. It was an incredible tool, and if Dofun dissected it, he could use it to gain a whole new grasp on magic.
Amazing. So amazing. The magic was already interesting, but now, now it was a key, and this clown became the most important person in Druid's life, even more important the spiritual summon lady from before. So important, even, then Druid didn't even notice the man with the bleeding ears, he just kept silently examining Dofun, waiting for him to transform back to his original body. His bizarre appearance of a hybrid between a bear and a mantis shrimp was still active, he wanted to see if there was any possible thing that he could witness from this man's use of magic.

"Just talk to her, Elly. I know this person, before she was part of the Council that is. Just talk to her, and if things get messy, just walk her out of here, if you need to."
"O-Ok..."
She was surprised at how quickly the plan had changed from everyone escaping, to everyone fighting again. In a way though she was glad that was the case, so that now she wouldn't have to touch Spider Thighs to get it out as well. So, with that out of the way, she figured she'd set about talking with the council member after all.
Except that now a different one approached her and went to stab her with some magic sword that would almost certainly kill her. She cringed in response, hoping it wouldn't hurt to much before she died.
"Waaah!"
---
"With my magic, you can't hear the siren monster or be affected by any illusion spells! Isn't that cool?"
"Uh yeah... that is pretty cool I guess. It must be pretty strong if you can just block out anything like that."
It took quite awhile for Elly to understand and be comfortable with the situation enough to respond. She heard Eliza well enough, it was just a lot for her to take in and hard to understand. Not long before, she was busy being killed by the sword guy. Eventually she came to respond, though her attention was somewhat marred by her focus on the ice cream. She was definitely interested, but didn't want to risk asking for some or taking any herself, in case it turned out to be an illusion and make her look dumb.
"Pony Love told me you were bitten by a pony. Must have not been a very nice pony, but I can't imagine that because I've never not known a nice pony!"
"Well if you're ever in Pine Town, head to to the Sevuelta farm, it might still be there. Though, to be fair, everyone knew it was mean and they kept it separate. I just made a dumb mistake."
Honestly she would probably rather be escaping or even getting stabbed to death right now. She knew she was supposed to be opposed to the council, so it felt uncomfortable to just be chatting with one of their number. Astral said for her to do just that though, so for the time being, she kept her opinions and feelings to herself.
"Actually now that I remember, you probably won't find it anymore. I sort of kind of accidentally stole it when my powers went off after it bit me. I couldn't help it, but I wasn't able to get ahold of it to take it back, it ran off right after... I think it was close to Woodstone, where we ended up, so check around there instead."

NOT FAIR
HUNGRY
SO HUNGRY THERE ARE LIES
NOT FAIR LIES
LIES
HE CHEAT ME
AH
MAGIC YES MAGIC YES EAT HIM HUNGRY
OLD MAN MAGIC OLD MAN FOOD EAT HIM EAT THE OLD MAN
EAAAAAAAAT
A horrid, shrill shriek ran out from the child’s unmoving, open mouth. With little-to-no regard to planning or safety, the creature leapt at the old man, its pointed legs coming towards him. They pierced the ground with each step and were more than enough to cut through any weak flesh.
And yet, with this sort of blind rage of an attack, it was a wonder as to how it had managed to survive so many attempts on its life by mages over the years. It had been deemed the target of many S missions, but no one who had tried those had ever succeeded. Just how was this foolhardy attack a tactic of an unbeatable monster?
“Hey, what’s going on down there? Did something change? I can’t see past the clouds up here and I can’t really hear anything that well either. Don’t have fun without me!”
Dofun’s neck quickly and seemingly collapsed into his body while his masked face descended from the heavens. Where all of the extra matter went was anyone’s guess, for the clown really didn’t care all that much for the specifics. He spotted Druid looking at him with some sort of fascination or awe, and puffed out his chest proudly.
“Ah yes, enamored by my technique, hm? I know, I know, it’s pretty amazing. I could show you eeeeeeeeven more later, once we see a whole bunch of fun spells and fireworks and parties and all that stuff! We ARE having a party, right? A “now we’re an official guild” party? Yeah, yes, yes we are, or at least we are now! I can assure you that it will be the best part ever. Oh wait, what’s this?”
He stared at the stranger bleeding from his eardrums.
“…Elrond, how did you even get a hitchhiker here?” All the usual joy in his voice had been replaced by confusion as he pointed at the strange new guest.
