"Guys, guys! There's some sort of angry magic cat in the kitche-"
Somehow Alden had managed to make it into the main hall not much worse off than he had been leaving the kitchen. Slamming the door shut behind him and holding it to make sure, he began to call to the others about the cat and what had happened. Halfway through speaking though when he went to look around and see who was there, he more or less got a full view of the whole picture.
"...oh. Nevermind."
Leaning with his back against the door, he merely watched the exchange between Elrond and the others now. As before he was still bleeding some, but it did not seem to bother him all that much.

"What?! A coup d'état? So soon?! Oh, West, how ambitious you are! A true right-hand men, i'll give you that!" Dofun was laughing at whatever was occurring before him, and twirled the hammer in his hand. "Well, do not fear! I shall assist you in your ambition, for the sake of the West-ern Empire! Charge!"
With that, Dofun turned on the spot and jumped at the guild master, swinging his hammer from the side and towards Elrond's side, meaning to slam him into a wall, maybe even the kitchen and all of the pots and pans if the winds of fate demanded so!

"There's no way I'm an enemy!" yelled out Elrond towards Puck. "You can't really be believing this traitor, could you!? Take out that gas guy now, while we have the cha--"
But suddenly, Elrond was hit by Dofun's giant hammer, flying through the air, crashing through a wall, and landing somewhere in the kitchen under a few barrels and pots and pans. He struggled to get back to his feet, coughing. He frowned, looking up at Dofun, shaking his head.
"Six left," he muttered, maybe not loud enough for anyone to hear.
He took a few steps forward and pointed towards Dofun now as well. "Another traitor! You heard it out of his own mouth! You others, take these traitors and throw them out immediately!"

"Oh dear," Xing Qi whispered to herself as Elrond started to act stranger and strange. Where was the cheerful Guild Master before? She sighed and figured she was likely a bad judge of character.
"Now, hold on," Snake said to Elrond, placing her hands on her hip, which she cocked to the side. Her elbows were bent straight, making her appear somewhat serpentine.
"Shouldn't we figure out exactly what's going on here? Perhaps we should have a trial to determine if these two are really "traitors," as you say."
Xing Qi looked up nervously at Snake. Despite being her summoner, it was clear who was really in charge in their relationship.

"Another traitor in our midst!" shouted out Elrond, pointing now towards Qi. Now, if anything, this may seem quite peculiar. Out of everyone, Elrond spoke only good towards Qi so far. "We have no choice. She must also be destroyed."
He then paused, looking around him. He took a breath and continued. "I know there are only a few of us and we just started our new Guild... our new home. But we cannot allow traitors in our doors. Doing so we'll just bring us down and destroy us from the inside, like a virus. And these people are viruses. So take a stand by me and lets get rid of em!"
And with that, Elrond went dashing towards Qi, raising his fist and ready to punch.

"Well I don't think we shou- whoahly shit!"
Alden planned to speak up his mind but something suddenly rocketed past him, whipping his cloak around some. Turning his head slowly as he spoke, his gaze finally settled upon the wreckage of the wall next to him, leading to his exclamation. Not just from the proximity of the crash, but the speed at which it had occurred, and that it was the guild master whom had been sent flying. He was even more confused when the master just emerged seemingly without a scratch, and went on about getting rid of all the traitors.
"I don't even know what's going on anymore."
Alden stopped trying to figure out what it was that he was supposed to be doing, and instead set about what he would be doing. And that was getting his gear upstairs to be ready for a fight. He had thought that being the first day of a new place he could take it easy for a little bit, but he was sorely mistaken. Given what he had been through to get to where he was, he should have known better and cursed himself for letting his guard down. It would be a long time before he went without his equipment around here, even inside the guild.
As he reached the staircase to make his climb though, he caught sound of the little interchange between Qi and Elrond. So, he was labeling her a traitor because she dared to questioned him? Yeah, this was turning out to be a crappy guild and a poor decision on Alden's part in agreeing to join. He would have just set about grabbing his stuff now then and making his leave, but the guild master launched an attack at the girl.
"I don't like that."
Without a moment's hesitation or a second thought, Alden did the first thing that came to his mind; in a dash ending in a leap, he jumped at Qi and aimed to simply shove her out of the way of Elronds attack. Of course this would then put him in the way of the attack instead, assuming his plan to shove her worked. But then he wasn't really considering the consequences at this point. He had just fought with a magic purple cat, so this day couldn't get much worse.

"Destroyed?!" Xing Qi gasped. "But! That was Snake that said that!"
"Now, Ruby, you should really have more control over your summons," Snake said with a glum look.
"Say what!" Xing Qi face-faulted.
The small woman started to panic when Elrond dashed toward her. Snake gripped onto her shoulders, ready to pull her away and inflict her own magic on the Guild Master. However, Alden acted quicker.
Xing Qi yelped as she was thrown to the side. She glanced at Snake and nudged her head toward the Guild Master. Snake twisted and curled to slither behind Elrond.
"Slithering Sleep," she whispered. She would place her long fingers on the back of the Guild Master's head. Xing Qi's magic, at this point, was not the strongest it could have been. Snake's abilities reflected her master's capabilities. The technique would only work if Xing Qi's master overpowered this Elrond's.

(Godmod permission)
Elrond's fist slammed into Alden, sending him crashing into the ground. Elrond looked a bit surprised at Alden's sacrifice, but didn't think much about it, because suddenly the astral spirit called forth by Qi suddenly appeared behind him, placing her fingers on the back of his head. It was a magic that was trying to put him to sleep.
Immediately he felt drowsy and his legs buckled underneath him, causing him to fall down. However, he barely managed to stay on his knees. His eyes fluctuated from almost closed to fully open and back and forth. Elrond could feel the magic seeping through him, but he had a plan. He also realized that these guys weren't just your every day mages, so he would finally have to step it up.
A moment later, Elrond was fully awake again and he stood back up, looking at the others. "I guess you guys are better than I thought," he said, grinning. "You see, I'm not your Guild Master, Elrond. My name is Cheshire, and I'm a magical cat. I found your Guild Master a short moment ago and attacked it, taking over it's body."
Cheshire clenched his fist. "You may wonder why some of your attacks haven't been working on me, right? Well as you know, cats have nine lives. You've taken out some of them, but I still have six left. Any attack you throw at me, I can just cancel out with one of my lives and keep fighting. The best thing of all?"
Cheshire began laughing. "My nine lives magic regenerates every hour! So if you want to defeat me, you better act fast!"
And with that, Elrond, who was actually Cheshire, dashed towards the stellar spirit Snake, ready to punch her. "First, the troublesome one!"

"Cheshire....Cat?"
Puck seemed puzzled at the existence of such an entity. Hearing the details of the odd animal's magic, the Dragonslayer's brow furrowed, it took over their guild master? In that case they really couldn't afford to use any lethal or truly harmful force...
Seeing Snake attempt to put Elrond to sleep, Puck snapped his fingers as inspiration struck. Of course!
"Xing Qi! Snake! Keep using that sleep magic!"
Curling his hands into fists, the emerald flames of the Dream Dragon once more roared into existence around his clawed fists. If they could manage to put the Guild Master to sleep, Puck was certain he could handle the rest from there or at least figure out a way to seperate the cat from their guild master.
"Dofun! West! John! New guy! We need to stop him from moving, all those lives have got to be destroyed quickly!"
The problem was how easy it would be for the Catrond to avoid another attempt by Snake. Leaping into the air, Puck drew both his arms back, the flames spreading all the way to his shoulders until it looked like his arms had become large fiery wings. Sweeping them forward, he released two crescent waves of green fire, aiming to completely wash over and smother Elrond in their tranquilizing heat.
"Dream Dragon's Dousing Wing!"

West wasn’t surprised when Elrond revealed himself to be the Chesire Cat. Instead he was quite intrigued about how one soul could over power another so easily. Either way he didn’t have time to dwell on that at the moment. Instead he had to destroy the cat as quickly as possible and without damaging the new guild master to much in the process. Throwing his hands out to his sides West concentrated. Quickly four ghost like forms appeared beside him, each armed with some sort of bladed weapon. ”L-let’s do what we can.”
Without waiting for another second West disappeared in a puff of smoke before appearing above Elrond. His ghost army charged forward, each swiping at the Catrond with their weapons. These weapons wouldn’t actually harm the guild masters body but instead attack the cat’s soul inside. From above West positioned his hands above his head as if he held a large hammer. Smoke poured from underneath his clothing and gathered in his palms. Soon West held a giant mallet in his hands and brought it swinging down toward the guild master. Again the attack aimed for the cat’s soul but not Elrond’s physical body. West was positive as to whether or not Elrond’s soul would take any damage but he was willing to risk it to get rid of this pest.

When the man with the ancient guild building magic announced that he was the Cheshire cat that was the target of this mission and that he had nine lives in total the punk covered in booze wasn't quite sure about what to do; how he was going to capture the cat and complete the mission instead of the members of this guild. At least he knew where to start. "I just need to knock out the cat. Then let's see what to do after that."
The punk slowly walked towards Cheshire that was now in the control of Elrond's body as the dragon slayer, a summoned monster and the man with the gas mask were attacking the guild master. Once he got close enough the punk said: "I'll handle this." to everyone around him and then opened the bag hanging around his waist and pulled something out of there. It was marbles, common magical marbles for kids and he threw them in the air and pulled out more and more marbles until there was about one hundred of them floating around him.
"Oo~kay!" The marbles quickly flew around Elrond in an attempt to surround him. If a decent surround were to be achieved the punk turned his back to the target and all of the magical toys would attack Cheshire. The marbles would just quickly crash into the man controlled by a cat, then fly away a little bit only to attack again. It wasn't about the power of the hits, they barely hurt, but it was numbers, with about 100 hits a second and unless interrupted it would go on for about two minutes. Unlike Puck and West, the punk certainly didn't try to be gentle and it should hurt Elrond's body quite badly, in fact it was quite likely that it might even break some of the guild master's bones.
After it was over the marbles flew back next to the punk floating around him and he looked over his shoulder to see what he had achieved.

"Checker Cat?" Xing Qi asked. She had never heard of such a thing. She wondered if she would have known more about the creature had she gotten into magic earlier. She became somewhat angry, thinking of how kind Elrond was to her and the others. He was so easily taken advantage of and the guild he dreamed of starting was nearly destroyed before it began. She couldn't let the cat continue.
Elrond hit Snake directly, making her mouth bloody. Though she scowled, she seemed to be fine with this, however, and attempted to grip onto the Guild Master's wrist with her lanky fingers.
"Snake!" Xing Qi cried in worry.
"Slithering Sleep," the Celestial Spirit coughed, as her hands began to glow with emerald magic. She stayed steady, even voluntarily getting caught in the others' attacks.
Xing Qi sunk forward slightly. It was clear where Snake's powers were coming from. The summoner was worn out. She wobbled on her cane but fell to her knees and stayed on the floor. She held up her cane defensively against West's frightening ghosts, but realized they weren't hurting her at all. The marbles too went right over her head. She could only hope Puck knew what he was doing.

Cheshire grinned menacingly as his fist slammed into Snake's fast, sending a spray of blood in the air. However, almost directly after, Snake reached out and grabbed onto his wrist, holding it tightly. Cheshire tried to pull away, but the grip was strong, and her magic was already beginning to take effect.
"The ones with magic that take over the body," hissed Cheshire. "Those are always the most troublesome for a cat like me..." While the others were beginning their attacks, Cheshire's eyes were already beginning to close as the sleep magic took over. Cheshire was doing all he could to direct the sleeping magic towards one of his lives so that he could stay conscious.
"You don't know what you're doing," hissed Cheshire. "You don't know the danger that lies right outside this door. You should be thanking me for destroying this guild so early in it's life... sparing it of the troubles that lie ahead. Especially you, Qi... The future is--"
First was Puck. The paralyzing heat swept over his body without fail. Cheshire's eyes went wide as he looked in the air at Puck. "Dragon slayer." Again, Cheshire forced all of the magic through his body into one of his other lives, causing that life to die, but his original body to stay unharmed. It wasn't over yet though.
West and June attacked right after. West's soul hammer slammed down upon Elrond, going through him, but attacking the soul. Again, Cheshire sacrificed another life to stay unharmed, but couldn't do it much more, because June's attack, although small, built up immensely after time and completely obliterated him.
With all the attacks combined, and with Qi holding onto his wrist, Cheshire could do nothing. Although the body from the outside looked primary unharmed (other than some serious looking bruises), the soul had been totally shattered.
From Elrond's chest, a figure began to come out, as if phasing through his skin. It was a thin, purple cat, although it was no longer smiling. It fell to the ground, a deep hideous frown spread across his lips.
"N-no more," it hissed, attempting to crawl away. "Let me be.."
And then rocks shot out through the flooring, all of them circling around Cheshire. They then began to make a sphere, locking the cat inside like a prison.
"Well that wasn't the best situation!" chuckled Elrond, coughing a little, holding his hand up towards the sphere or rocks holding the Cheshire cat. "But I got him! I caught the cat!" He then looked at the other mages, smiling a bit embarrassed. "Oh, and uh, good job you guys too! Yeah, we got him!"
And so the cat was locked int he stone prison, sitting in the middle of the mages. It had been defeated. "What do we do with him now though?"

After Cheshire was locked away in a cage, a slow clapping could be heard throughout the guild. Sitting undisturbed at his table, John finished off his drink, acting as if he had just finished watching an exceptionally good show.
"Nicely done, fellas. Far better than what I expected out of you bunch."
He stood up and walked over to the group, smirking in a content fashion. He was glad that the situation had been able to resolve itself without him having to intervene. One of the ways he got through life was the belief that a man should never do what he could just as easily get others to do for him. This applied to several things, including cat hunts, but this instance also allowed him to witness the abilities of this new guild firsthand. Judging from their first performance, it was much better than what he had initially thought of them. And, best of all, he got to sit back and have some entertainment with his alcohol. It was a good day so far. And, hopefully, he would be able to make it even better.
"Gotta say though, purple cat infestations not five minutes after the building's been established? This is quite the madhouse you guys got here. I like it." he chuckled at his own comment. "Anyways, if ya don't know what to do with that little bugger there, I know some friends who'd be willing to pay a fine price for a rare creature like that. Just don't ask too many questions. Should be enough to pay for the damages caused and then some left over for everyone. How about it?"

From the wreckage of where he had been punched to, Alden began to stir, groaning as he sat up rubbing his head and squinting around.
"Ugh... did we win? Are the cats gone?"
