West had situated himself in the main area looking for the cat. He was on his hands and knees looking down under some of the tables when the cat appeared in front of him, causing him to jerk back and hit his head on the table. The table flew tipped over causing a loud thud as it struck the ground. Rubbing the back of his head West looked down at the cat in front of him as it hissed and growled at him. Standing back up he tilted his head in a curious manner.
”Odd,” West said as he studied the cat. Carefully he moved back a bit, getting ready to knock the cat back as soon as it came upon him. When it did West swung his fist towards the cat’s midsection. Taking a quick glance around the guild he noticed Elrond standing in the main area as well. Again West’s head titled in a curious manner. ”Odder.” West then turned his attention back to the cat he was battling to see if the attack actually did anything.

"Aw, look at the cute little - Arraaghh!"
The cat leaped at the clown's face like it had done with Elrond, but Dofun's mask protected him from harm. Nevertheless, it was startling to suddenly have a cat jump onto your face. "Get it off get it off get it off!" He tightened his grip on his hammer and slammed it onto his own face in an attempt to get rid of the creature. Whether or not this actually destroyed the cat, Dofun couldn't tell, because he was now extremely doozy. He moved around for a bit like a complete drunk, his senses and thoughts in complete disarray.
"Ooooh, hello there everypony, it's great to be here..." His voice was that of a drunkard's. He twirled in place and looked like he would fall over at any second. "No ma'm, I will not sign your bra...Well, maybe - Don't worry sir I shall get that cat!" Dofun hit himself in the face with the hammer again and started swinging it everywhere, the floor and any walls or people that came too close to him. He wasn't sure if the cat was still around at this point, but it didn't hurt to check, and double-check, and maybe quintuple-check.
Amazingly enough, his mask seemed untouched by the multiple hits from a huge hammer.

Hearing the hissing, Alden's attention was drawn to the cat in the cooking pot as he went through the kitchen.
"Huh. Bad place to hide in a kitchen."
Beyond a passing confused look, he didn't really pay much further attention to the cat. With some effort he managed to locate the broom closet and dug through for what else but a broom, as well as a dustpan and some other materials. His arms were pretty full carrying all the stuff, but he managed to close the door with a foot, and aimed to head back upstairs. On the way out he noticed the cat again though, and this time it pounced at him.
He wasn't in any position to fight it off or defend himself as he was walking though, so he merely ducked as the animal flew at him. It was his intent to simply avoid the attack altogether, and see what would happen after. Assuming it was not a cat with magic abilities it would probably just crash into the wall, but he could then take the chance to better face the feline rather than as he was.
Of course, on the other hand the cat might just have predicted and or otherwise negated Alden's dodge and hit him dead on. It wasn't like he was the most agile person after all.

The cats seemed to be all over the Guild at this point. Almost everyone had a cat of their own, each one roaring and ready for a fight.
Jupiter seemed to be taking a different course of action in combating his cat. Instead, he simply picked the cat up and began carrying it off. The cat did indeed began to fiercely scratch and bite at Jupiter, but once it realized that wasn't going to do any good, it did something different.
It's eyes began to glow, and a moment later, it exploded. It was a large enough explosion to at least somewhat shake the entire Guild, and if Jupiter wasn't ready, he might be hit by it. Once the smoke cleared, weather Jupiter was still standing or not, another cat emerged from where the last cat exploded, seemingly unharmed.
---
The cat hissed angrily at Puck, clawing at him while he attempted to use his Dragon Slayer magic against it. However, interestingly, Puck's dream magic had no effect on the cat, though the searing flames did.
That's when the cat froze and its eyes began to glow. It slightly inflated, as if it was about to explode, but Xi fell straight on the cat, causing it to poof away in a cloud of smoke. However, that didn't stop it long. The cat reappeared right above the two people, floating in mid air. However, this time it opened its mouth and spit fire upon them.
HISSSSS.
---
West was under similar circumstances. The cat had jumped straight for West and West returned by trying to punch at it. The cat, in this situation, would try to grasp on to West's hand, and if successful, it opened its mouth and a cold chill poured out of it, freezing anything that it touched.
---
The cat that attacked Dofun did not look in good condition. It had grabbed a hold of Dofun's mask and was crushed by his huge hammer. It fell on the ground, pulverized, and then poofed away in smoke. However, it returned, just like all the others, this time more prepared.
It opened its jaws at the wild Dofun who was swinging around seemingly random, and lighting flew out, ready to strike Dofun if he wasn't prepared.
---
Finally, the cat that was facing Alden was anxious to battle as well. As Alden was leaving, he ducked, causing the pouncing cat to fly over him and crash into the wall. However, it quickly recovered, sliding down the wall and landing on his feet.
He spun around to face Alden, hissing wildly. It began to slowly step around Alden in a circle, as if he was prey. As it walked around Alden, the wooden floor beneath the cat's feet began to break apart behind it, and a few shards of stone shot out of the ground, pointed at Alden, and shot straight towards him.
---
Elrond was cheering for the others, pumping his fist into the air. "Come on you guys, we can take em! They aren't that strong after all! Haha!"

Seeing Xing fall forward, Puck rushed forward and caught the small mage by her shoulders. Looking up and spotting the reborn cat now breathing fire at them, he yelped in surprise and leapt back, dragging Xing with him as the fire scorched the section of the floor they had just been sitting on.
"Xing! Wake up wake up, we need to think of a...damn it."
Puck face palmed as he realized the girl was fast asleep, affected by the Flames of the Dream Dragon. Hurriedly slapping her across the face (not too hard) Puck kept glancing between her and the cat, panic overtaking him as he saw the odd feline preparing another attack.
"Wake up! Wake up!"
Setting Xing down as the cat attacked once more with fire, Puck in turn inhaled deeply and puffed out his cheeks and chest. As the cat breathed fire down upon them, Puck roared at the cat, his roar quite animalistic and perhaps even shaking the guild a little. It was truly the roar of a dragon.
"Dream Dragon's Roar!"
A blast of emerald flame erupted from Puck's mouth as he continued to roar, aiming to ward off the Cat's fire breath attack and perhaps just blast it away.

West was still too distracted by Elrond to probably knock the cat away. It easily sunk it’s claws into his arm causing West to turn his full attention to the cat and the slight pain in his arm. Shaking his arm around he tried to get the cat to fly off but found that it was quite stuck. Slamming his arm into several tables and walls West was now hoping to knock the cat off of his arm. Still it hung on. Mumbling to himself West continued to try to pry the cat off but stopped when he noticed that the cat now was using a breath weapon.
Without warning the cold chill hit West in the shoulder and right side of his chest. Ice formed over both and caused him to shudder at the icy feeling. Sighing slightly West caused his body to transform into the blue tinted smoke he had used earlier. He wasn’t sure if the ice would leave but he was positive that the cat wouldn’t be able to hold on. Wafting a few feet away West reappeared, the ice still stuck on his body. Not wishing to waste any more time he quickly shot out a spear of the smoke from his right hand at where the cat and himself had just been, not entirely sure that the cat was still there. Again his gaze wondered over to Elrond. Without thinking West pointed his left palm at the man, a small sphere of the smoke gathering at the middle. The ball sprang from West’s hand and flew straight at Elrond.

John, not really interested in any cat hunts, wasn't paying all that much attention to what was going on around him. He had a natural eye for detail at all times, but he kept it to a minimum now, thinking that the only available job was the farthest thing imaginable from his usual style. The fact that the very first mission Renascence was given was a search for somebody's lost cat didn't do the group much good in his eyes. Either way, he didn't know how he could have participated in the first place. As anyone with half a brain knew, you couldn't con a cat, unless maybe you had some fish or a string on you, which John sure didn't. Even when there was a cat right in front of him, he stepped right over it, hoping someone else would take the (probably disease-covered) creature away. Besides, he had something better to think about.
He walked in a straight path towards the bar, and, without so much as asking the guild owner for permission, hopped right over it, his eyes on the barrels filled with drink. He pulled up a mug, and poured himself a glass. This being done, he sat down at one of the tables, whichever was furthest from any cat battles, and started drinking.
Better to sit this one out... he thought to himself as he took a swig. His eyebrows raised with surprise after he put down the mug, not because of the fighting in his potential guild, but because the alcohol was particularly good. Why everyone else was so concerned with crazed felines and not the exceptional booze was anyone's guess. He leaned back in his seat and continued drinking, enjoying himself as he watched the members of Renascence trouble themselves over such small, furry, probably harmless things.

Talavon walked down the stairs ready to follow the rest of the guild members to look for the cat. Out of nowhere strange cats started to attack the rest of the members.
"Haha you guys are having trouble with a couple of kitties." Talavon said while laughing. At the moment another cat appeared rushing towards Talavon and sending a blast of water out of its mouth. Grinning Talavon swiped a hand across his face making his Mask of the Black Warrior appear. Waving his hand he sent the blast of water back at the cat. Effectively blasting the cat back several feet. The cat slowly got back up hissing and clawing at Talavon.
"Oh, your ready for more lets see what you got kitty cat."

"Dumb cat, I wasn't even- oh, so it's not a normal cat..."
When the animal displayed some telekinetic abilities, Alden was clearly caught off guard. It was not often that this happened, but then who could really be prepared for violent magical cats to appear without warning? He definitely wasn't, that was for sure. One way or another he wasn't about to face down something like this as he was (it had been his original intent to just beat the cat with the broom), so he just gave up on a fight altogether and bolted for the door to the main room.
Let someone else deal with this, or let me deal with it when I've got a sword or somethi- "Gah!"
He figured he would have just been able to get away from the fight, but he figured wrong as a few of the stone shards struck him on his way to the door. Being hit in the back he promptly crashed into the wall next to the door, feeling pretty poorly as he grabbed for the handle without looking. His gaze was drawn to the cat obviously to see if anything else was headed his way, but eventually he managed to get the door open and make to leave. It was his intent to just shut it behind him, and hopefully that would perhaps stall if not completely impede the cat altogether. Then again, he didn't think for a second that it would just let him leave without a fight.
Either way, on the place where he crashed into the wall was some blood smeared across it, obviously from the shard attack aimed at the mage hunter.

Xing Qi's eyes fluttered open. She felt at her face, wondering where the slaps were coming from. It took her a while to realize what was going on but the numerous cats tipped her off.
Her keys, dangling from her side, glowed golden and flashed, as though emitting some sort of signal. She clutched onto them in terror as Puck emitted his "roar."
"No, it's alright," she said to them. "I think Mr. Mayvill's got it."
Xing Qi reached out for her cane and went to stand but found herself shaking too much to move.
"I think..."

The bites and scratches done by the cat didn't affect the punk much he just dealt with it and kept on going thinking about the reward that was waiting for him. However then all of a sudden the cat blew up and the explosion threw the man who had been holding the cat flying a long way. Ultimately he ended up crashing through the barrels filled with liquors that the unusually tall man, apparently named John had taken interest in. The impact would break most of the barrels, covering the punk and probably John as well, in the vintage liquors that these barrels held. Needless to say floor was now flooding with booze as well. The punk's suitcase which he had been carrying the whole time flew on a very different direction from it's owner, though did not end up hitting anyone or anything and surprisingly didn't seem to take much damage. Or maybe it did and it was just hard to tell from all the previous scratches that covered the whole suitcase.
"What the...?" The punk thought as he rose up. He had gotten in a quite bad condition from just trying to capture a cat, though it definitely wasn't just an ordinary cat, there was magic involved in this. When looking for where his suitcase has flown off to the punk realized something there were bunch of cats in this guild house, it seemed like there was at least one for everyone present. Not only that, but the cat that just blown up in his hands was standing there. He forgot about the suitcase for now.
"What is going on here? So many cats... Which one is it that I'm supposed to capture? Maybe it's all of them, but how do I snatch so many cats, that may randomly explode, so that these guild members don't stop me?" The punk, who was now covered in bruises and booze was wondering. One thing was certain; this wasn't the easiest mission he had ever done.

"Woah no no no no, bad kitty!"
Dofun flung himself to one side to dodge the lightning, but only ended up colliding into a wall face-first.. He was knocked back onto the floor, his mask still not broken. He looked at the cat and knew what was coming next if he didn't get up soon.
"Sorry, kitty! The show must go on!" The jester got back up and looked at his hammer; he was literally bouncing on his toes at the moment. He looked around the room wildly while jumping in place, his eyes darting here and there. Magic, magic, magic, ah hah! His adorable mask was turned completely to Puck. After a second or two, he turned it back to the cat in front of him. "And it could never hope to go on without me, the star attraction! Arrivederci!
Green Dragon's Roar!"
And with that, a small meow came from Dofun. It would have been comical and underwhelming had it not been for the blast of green flame that had come afterwards. It was identical to the one that had come from Puck, and Dofun hoped to get rid of the cat with it.
That would be nice.

The cat attacking Puck and Xi seemed to have a never ending flow of fire out of it's mouth, aiming at the two people. However, Puck was even stronger, and it's roar and flame was enough to send him flying, crashing into the wall in a puff of smoke.
However, immediately after, it appeared again, right behind Puck. "Two gone," is whispered to itself. "Seven left."
And it shot another fireball.
---
Another cat was fighting against Talavon, the new Guild Member, taking a few blasts of cold water. However, that wasn't enough to defeat it as it began floating in the air. Huge gusts of wind from nowhere began swirling around the cat, and in a moment later, it shot a blast of air at Talavon. If it it, it would feel as solid as stone.
---
Even Dofun's attacks were enough to push back the cat fighting him, and it poofed away in smoke, only to appear again like all the others, whispering a number to itself in the process. Bolts of lightning began swirling around the cat as it started walking towards Dofun, ready for another round.
However, all that was about to change.
---
Elrond, who was watching the fights between his Guild members and the cats, was ready to join in when suddenly, and unexpectedly, a green blast from West hit Elrond directly in the chest, sending him staggering backwards.
It took Elrond a moment to regain himself, and looking around, he saw that West was the culprit. He sneered, almost hissed, and slammed his foot on the ground. "Cat's vanish!" And every cat in the room dissipated instantly.
"We don't need those cats in our way, do we?" shouted Elrond to the rest of his guild. "You did good in defeating them! But now, it seems we have a traitor... West!" He pointed directly at West.
"As you just saw, he attempted to take out the Guild Master! There is no other choice. Capture him now!"

Xing Qi winced as the cat shot another fireball at them. She could not stand or run in time. One of her golden keys glowed in her hand, summoning forth a bright light in front of her.
With a pop and sparkle, the figure grabbed hold of Xing Qi and rolled with her to dodge the flame.
The figure materialized to a very tall woman with lanky limbs and extremely long black hair. She had a large yellow copped collar that stuck out from the top of a mermaid style emerald dress. Her muddy brown eyes glared out to where the cat was.
"Ruby, are you alright?" she asked, holding onto her summoner with her arm around her back.
"I am fine, Snake," Xing Qi responded with a solemn smile. "Thank you."
Snake assisted Xing Qi to her feet and stood close behind her, constantly watching her. She glanced at Puck with a deadly stare, clearly not trusting him. This spirit wasn't powerful in pure strength, rather she seemed to be intimidating in her conviction. After all, the spirit summoned herself to protect her summoner.
"Mr. Mayvill," she began in the commotion. "Did you see that clown use your magic? Why did that guy use his magic against the Guild Master? And did the Guild Master take those strange cats away?"
Xing Qi gulped.
"What should we do?"
Snake looked to Puck again, as though Xing Qi's question was part of a test.

As Puck's breath magic managed to vanquish the cat yet again, Puck noticed out of the corner of his eye the clown performing the same magic. Again with the mimicry, and it was a good imitation. To his surprise he also saw West shoot a ball of gas at Elrond.
But before he could ponder this he heard the faint voice of the cat behind him once more. His brow furrowed, seven left? Spinning and extending an arm in an effort to grab Ruby and shove her behind him, he could only gawk stupidly as his arm swept through empty air, since Snake had already appeared and gotten her Master out of harm's way.
"Oh dra- FFGAHHH."
The fireball took Puck straight in the chest and knocked the Dragonslayer back. Coughing and patting his chest to put out the fire, Puck stood up to square off again against the cat, until he heard what appeared to be a loud stomping sound before the cats all vanished.
Confused, Puck looked down towards the first floor and saw the same had happened to everyone else, and then the odd uncharacteristic claim came from Elrond.
"This isn't like him...his dream...it's not even there?"
Puck muttered to himself, perhaps loud enough for Ruby and Snake to hear. Indeed as Puck squinted and stared at Elrond, there was some odd distortion blocking his dream from view, and he was talking so differently? Puck had not known the man for very long at all, but the nature of seeing someone's "dream" often taught you more about that person's true nature than normal.
"Hold up a second!"
Vaulting down the stairs, Puck landed somewhere between Elrond and West, a hand extended out to each of them.
"Gas guy, why did you attack Elrond? Surely you must have had a reason?"
Puck was staring very suspiciously at Elrond, it all seemed odd that the cats had all vanished as soon as Elrond had been attacked.
