Although not gigantic himself he carries himself as a much larger man would, and his short black hair and rugged looks denote a strong sense of confidence.

Motivations: To become notable through his strength, so that he might receive recognition. Weaknesses or Flaws: Pretty narrow-minded in his approach to all things, choosing violence to solve most of his problems. Strengths: Despite his brash nature and lust for combat, Carello has a strong sense of right and wrong, and devotion to a cause and its people. Dream: To qualify for the royal guard of Fiore. What Causes Fear: Actions which might damage his reputation. What Causes Anger: Plenty of things. What Causes Happiness: A fight well won. Lessons to Be Learned: Simple fighting prowess and strength aren't the key to recognition and glory. Personality Description: Carello has a deep inner conflict in that he seeks to be defined as a good an honest soldier, but in truth he's nothing but a barbarian warrior. It is hard for him to turn away from the life and methods he knows best, though he has a desire to, as he knows how improper they are in relation to what he truly wants. His is a constant struggle to subdue his inner, honest self and how he really feels about things, in order to work towards that ideal goal he has dreamed up. Essentially, like a barbarian raider trying to become a noble knight. While he has this ideal though, he doesn't like that he has to effectively kill his past and who he is to reach it. Part of the reason he enjoys the Legend guild so much, is that they don't ask such a thing of him.
Magic
Type of Magic: Air Rending Magic Weakness: Based wholly on his ability to move, and quickly. Magic Description: Through his attacks, Carello can cut through the air to send waves of rending force at a target. Although not nearly as effective as actually being able to connect with his attacks, he can send a multitude of these air slices at range, and enough of them can result in a devastating effect. This process requires him to be able to move about freely however, unfettered and at full-speed. If he is confined, or underwater or something similar, he won't be able to move well enough to use his magic.

Biography:
Originally nothing more than an arena fighter with some skill in magic, Carello was content with simply fighting for fame and wealth. Having come from a notably brutal township in Fiore known for its fighters, he was practically born for the lifestyle, but when he saw the life of a soldier during military incident his outlook was drastically changed. He got a glimpse at what loyalty and honor were, what it meant to devote oneself to a cause, to be a part of something bigger than oneself. For someone whom had only ever just fought in the dust for money, the idea was quite attractive to the young man.
But old habits die hard, and while he now knew what he wanted out of life, he couldn't change who he was. For his martial prowess alone, he would probably have been a shoe-in for the Fiore military or even a soldier of the capitol. His background though, and his mannerisms, caused him to be relatively overlooked however as no one really wanted to sign the equivalent of a provincial barbarian to their unit. Instead, Carello found himself relocated to where there was always a need for help; the border. His days as a patrolman were never dull, and always dangerous, but it was not what he had in mind.
He became bitter over this, annoyed that he didn't fit the ideal bill of what they wanted in Fiore proper, and found little comfort in his new profession or even the town he was protecting. With his skills in magic though he was joined with Legend as well as the border guard, and therein he found something he had been searching for all along; acceptance, for who he was. In Legend there was no uniform, no one cared where you were from or what you had done, there was just a concern for helping people to foster their magical skills and to assist in the protection of Fiore. While certainly not guarding the king, this was initially what Carello had set out to find.
While he still has dreams of becoming a member of the royal guard, Carello is in no rush. He's grown attached to Dunwald and his profession, as well as Legend where he has made several important friends, perhaps chief among them a fellow mage by the name of Satir. Together they share something of a brotherly rivalry, both seeking to become better persons, while keeping each other in check.

What follows is a short list of mages that will be joining Renascence. They are more than likely fodder characters that won't be developed too much, at least for the time being.
Name: Celeste Chase Age: 15 Date of Birth: October 12 Sex: Female
Appearance: Wears a long blue, silky dress and carries a belt with loops which holds a multitude of magical wands.
Magic: Wand Magic She has 10 wands in total, each enchanted to give different effects, from summoning animals to blasts of cold or heat.
History: Celeste Chase found her ten magical wands while in an expedition to some ruins with her master, who raised her from birth to become a powerful, but respectful mage. The day she found the wands, her master vanished, leaving her alone in the world. One day, she hears news of Renasecence, an up and coming Guild looking for new members, and takes the chance of joining.

Magic: Specializes in soapy magic. He has the ability to create slippery surfaces, or more technically, to cause an object to lose resistance. This can be used in multiple ways and situations.
History: Jackson Mclean is a very neat and orderly man, always wanting perfection. Originally, he was a mage who wandered the world, making things clean and orderly, until one day he came upon Renascence. Seeing its poor state, and even filthier interior, he became a mage and now keeps everything clean and tidy.

Appearance: A spanish man. He wears aviator goggles and blue overalls.
Magic: Flight magic. From his back, he is able to summon two huge hawk wings, giving him the ability to soar higher and faster than any bird.
History: Felipe the Bird was taken from his parents as a baby by a swooping Hawk looking to feed her little chicks. However, once Felipe was brought back to the nest, the chicks refused to eat Felipe, and thus, became a brother to them. Raised by a hawk, he quickly learned how to use magic and fly. Eventually, he left the nest and joined Renascence. However, due to a childhood of living with birds, his manners aren't that great, and he isn't the best when it comes to communicating with others.

Appearance: Wears insultingly short blue jean shorts and a tank top.
Magic: Suggestive Magic. Has the ability to cause all of people around her to do her bidding. Doesn't work well on people with strong will or mature hearts, thus it doesn't work on many people.
History: Miranda Grimes came from a poor village, but her looks was enough to steal money from others and provide food and shelter for her family. One day, a bandit barged into her home and kidnapped everyone when Miranda wasn't there. She tracked down the man who did it, but found that they had been sold into slavery and were probably dead. She thoroughly 'got rid' of that bandit before deciding to find a new home for herself where maybe she could redeem her past actions. That's when she found Renascence and decided to join, hoping to become a better person, but not very successful at it.

Magic: Has no inherent magic. Mainly uses sheer physical force to take down enemies by charging into them.
History: Groundhorn was the runt in his village, always looked down on for being the weakest. He trained hard as he grew older, even strapping a metal horn onto his head to fight against bullies. In the end, he became the strongest in his village, and wanting to inspire others to be strong, went out into the world. He eventually joined Renascence, thinking it a great place to improve his skill and power.

Appearance: Izealya Thorn wears tight leather jeans and a black leather button up jacket. She wars thick heavy boots on her feet and black gloves covering her hands. Her black hair is in a loose ponytail. She always wears purple lipstick.
Magic: Dragon Slayer Magic, version Thorn. She has the ability to create poison thorns out of her body and even propel them at her enemies.
History: Izealya Thorn was an orphan raised by the Thorn Dragon. When the Thorn Dragon vanished, she was left to defend herself on her own, but the magic she had learned during that time made life easy. She could do whatever she wanted whenever she wanted. She recently learned of a new Guild, Renascence, and decided to join it, although not permanently.

Renascence Cannon Fodder;
Name: Fathom Age: Unknown Date of Birth: Unknown Sex: Unknown
Appearance: A traditional, big old-style diving suit. It is unclear what the diver inside looks like, and the only method of communication is through a voice modulator of terrible sound quality (due to water damage), half the time it's hard to tell what Fathom is even saying.
Magic: Water Magic, specifically generation. The mage permanently generates an amount of water from their body, in this case, a 10x10x10 foot cube of water that moves with them. Since all water is attracted to the mage's body, there's no risk of the water spilling out and getting everything wet, or leaving a trail of water wherever they go. The water in this case is completely normal, though the amount is enough that a current can be generated from within, so there's a risk of drowning if one gets caught inside. As well, with concentration the pressure of the water can be increased, in order to crush anything which gets caught within. It should be noted, that this kind of water magic, is uncontrollable. The mage has no way of actually stopping or better controlling the water generated, they literally are forced to survive within a mass of water permanently generated from their own body.
History: Originally at a young age, Fathom's magic equated to little more than a faint layer of moistness across their body. As they aged however, the amount of water surrounding them steadily increased alongside their magic power. Since the diver was just like any other person though, and could not breathe or survive underwater, this magic was potentially fatal. Thus while at a young age breathing and simply living was no great issue, growing older required a snorkel, then a hose, and finally a full on diving suit just to survive and live with the magic. The diver doesn't seem to mind so much however as assumedly, because of the permanent nature of the magic and the water surrounding them, they've grown used to living in this way. Either through choice, or being forced.

Name: Stanley Stillman Age: 27 Date of Birth: May 20th Sex: Male
Appearance: Blue jeans, white leather jacket with an emblem of a hornet, and a grey motorcycle helmet.
Magic: Drive Magic, a form of movement based magic. By making contact with an object, however large and through some determined method of "starting" it up, the mage can turn the object into a vehicular means of travel most befitting of the object in question. Typically, this means just sitting on a wagon and magically compelling it to move without horses and such, or grabbing a carpet and magically compelling it to fly through the air like... what else, a magic carpet. However, technically speaking, any object can be made to move like a vehicle in this way. The largest Stanly has ever used as transport was a house, which turned its supports into legs and started walking around, though perhaps with enough power and concentration he could move much more.
History: A mysterious man of few words, Stanly's past is a mystery. All that is for certain is that he made a profession out of providing transport to people, or transporting certain items of questionable legality. After some jobs gone bad however, he's looking to start anew, maybe in an entirely legal capacity as well though he's not above making some money and not asking questions. When asked who he is or what he does, his most common response is simply, "I Drive."

Appearance: A pretty girl with long blonde hair, most often wearing a sun dress and straw hat, with sandals.
Magic: Breakthrough Magic, a form of negation power. Basically put, the mage can designate a target and once chosen, nothing can stop them in their progression towards it. This magic is severely limited in that it doesn't work for anything but the user's own body, not even held weapons, simply negating everything in their designated path. That said, in theory, a strong user could for example; designate someone as their target, and using their fist with the intent to punch them in the face, become an unstoppable force until they manage to connect with the target and make the punch. Maisie is no heavyweight fighter though, and instead uses her magic to help her do what she does best; entertain people. By designating people's ears, she can sing and use her lovely voice to reach even the most distant or hard of hearing individuals. That's not to say she can simply control people, but she can make it so that her music is at least heard by everyone. If the need arises, she can go a step further and target their hearts or their minds, so that her music resonates with even the most close-minded or cold-hearted individuals. This is how she attracts such large audiences, though in extremely rare situations, she may need to go as far as targeting someone's soul for them to truly "hear" her music.
History: With her guitar in her arms and the world before her, Maisie has become something of a famous musician in her short time away from home. After setting out simply to see the world, she soon attracted quite the following and a fair amount of attention from people whose senses had been charmed by the cherry young musician. While she has no formal music deals or contracts, wherever she shows up people expect a show, and her performances are usually crowded far beyond capacity. It isn't until recently that she considered joining an actual magic guild, but in her quest to better see the world and perhaps to gain real recognition, she has decided on doing so. The question is, if she can handle the ardors of guild life.

Name: Cinder Age: 19 Date of Birth: December 13 Sex: Female
Appearance: From a distance, Cinder appears to be an attractive woman with a form fitting baby blue dress and long blond hair. Her transparent glass armor can only be seen on closer inspection. She wears glass moccasins, calling them her "glass slippers."
Magic: Glass-Make Allows the user to create objects of glass at will.
History: Qi's friend from childhood. She lived a life of luxury, having been the only daughter of a woman who married rich. Her step-father died unexpectedly, leaving her and her step-sisters with only her mother to care for them. Her mother abused her step-sisters, demeaning them and making them serve her and Cinder for a great part of their childhood. Tired of the abuse, Cinder exposed her mother's actions to the community, shaming her to the point of leaving town. Cinder then supported her and her step-sisters with her glass magic until they all reached adulthood.
Cinder now seeks out Renascence to make a new life for herself.

Appearance: A tall, thin man who wears baggy clothing. With straight black hair and dark circles under his eyes, he always looks ready to fall asleep.
Magic: Eternal Spindle A form of holder magic, the eternal spindle allows its user to twist non-living reality into yarn at the cost of the user's consciousness. Objects, weapons and even buildings can be twisted and transformed into simple yarn.
History: Briar is never asleep at night. He's always on "watch duty," claiming to be paranoid of enemies and attackers. The truth of the matter is that Briar was cursed by a mage, who his parents insulted by being the only person in their town not invited to his 1st birthday party. He cannot sleep on his own, doomed forever to spend his life in sleepless nights.
His parents sought out a solution, finding a strange magic spindle that strengthened the abilities of master sewers. The spindle puts the user to sleep with a prick of the finger, taking over their body for its own purpose. After years of spinning countless strands of wool and cotton, Briar seemed to master the spindle itself, being able to use it to spin any non-living object into yarn. Will Briar's odd abilities be an asset to the guild or a liability?

History: A child of hunters, Beauty's magical abilities helped her and her father catch the biggest and best prey. She hears of Renascence after hearing rumors of their victory while selling game in town. She joins, determined to make her father proud.

Name: Elise Title: Arachnoid Aegis, labeled as such by the Magical Council. This is the name put on posters and missions calling out for her death. Age: 15, has been in current state for 8 years. Date of Birth: Unknown Sex: Female Appearance: The spider stands at 10 feet tall, with the boy being 4'8 and hanging limply in the air. Most of the spider's body is covered in bristly black fur while the legs are long, spindly, and of a muted gray. Despite their thinness, the legs are hard and able to pierce through mostly anythng, whether that be stone or flesh. The head, in contrast to the rest of the body, is white and slimy. It feels somewhat sticky and is constantly pulsating. If one ran their hand over it, it would all in all be an unpleasant experience as they feel it throbbing underneath them and the strange fluid covering the head. The eyes are larger than any human's but look as if they belong to people and are all of different colors. They are bulging from the head and are constantly twitching and frantically looking in every direction, almost always moving, checking every aspect of the surroundings. Magic: Elise is able to absorb the powers of other mages and then transfer them into her offspring. Once she paralyzes and then consumes a mage, she creates offspring in Sammy's body like a parasite filling up a creature with their eggs and has Sammy combine the magic of the mage with his own magic and the offspring. This results in a swarm of spiders that are able to harness magic, ranging from spiders that can turn into balls of flame or spiders that can transform into water that can move and attack on its own. When combating Celestial Spirits, the creature knows to wait until the Celestial Spirits are out. Then, the creature will attack the mage and paralyze them, leaving them both physically and mentally numb, but not dead. Thus, the mage is unable to allow the spirit to back to the Celestial Spirit World. It is then that Elise will attack the Celestial Spirit, paralyze them, and consume them for the same purposes of consuming a mage. The paralyzed summoner will then be consumed for the purposes of non-magical nutrients afterwards, which mainly serves to keep Sammy alive as Elise feeds off of magic. Name: Sammy Age: 11 at time of Joining. Date of Birth: Sex: Male Appearance: The corpse hangs limply at 4'8". The skin is of a dead body's paleness, as very little of the life that flows through this body is Sammy's. It has gone through considerable rot and decay, various areas lacking skin and some meat or muscle. The bone is plainly visible in several spots. Despite the body's death-like state, there is definitely movement in it. Sometimes in the more rotted parts, spiders can be seen scurrying through the body and around the bones, or the spiders can be seen moving out of the holes such as the mouth and crawling into another. Small bulges can be seen moving across the body, showing that there are things crawling underneath the skin. There is constant movement in the boy, the constant flow of life skittering across his veins. Atop it all, a torn, stained and tanned tunic and shorts are seen in poor condition. The top of his head is torn apart and stuck to a sort of mouth on the spider's strange head. Sammy's head has been distorted by such a union, the skin twisted and warped to accomadate the spider's shape. The eyes have been long gone, leaving only dark sockets in its wake. There is a perpetual smile that would seem friendly were it on another child's face. Here, the lips are cracked and covered in dried bloodstains, with the occasional spider crawling out of the mouth and moving across his face. Magic: Sammy is an immense storehouse of magic power, but it can only be used to compliment the magic of others. He is unable to harness this magic himself and instead can only amplify the magic of others with it. Elise constantly draws from the almost limitless amount of magic power within him to both feed herself, her children, and to amplify the magic absorbed from others and use it to create the offspring. At this point, Elise lives off of magic, with Sammy being nothing more than a near-mindless attachment that she draws power from and feeds to keep alive.

Name: Apollo Age: 20 Date of Birth: January 20 Sex: Male Species: Siren
Appearance: Dressed in blue sparkling princely robes, it is clear that Apollo is a bit of a narcissist. He wears a masquerade mask to hide his eyes. His long white hair is often kept in a pony tail on windy days.
Magic: As a Siren, Apollo can control and manipulate those of lesser magical ability with his eyes and voice. Those caught in his spell become his servants against their will. They act under his control for up to a day without contact. Those who are under continual influence can be controlled for even longer.
History: Apollo grew up as the adopted child of the guild master of Odyssey. He was never knew where he came from. Rumors told different tales, some say it was a legimate adoption, others claimed the boy, as beautiful as he was, was still too ugly for a Siren, and some said he was outright kidnapped. One thing was certain, the guild master coveted Apollo's voice. Even as an infant, his cries paled the sweetest of melodies.
He was loved and adored by his adoptive mother and her guild, who dressed him in stunning outfits. He would sing and dance for the guild, entertaining them for hours on end. For years he did this, creating a warm and welcoming environment for the guild that he loved. His relationship with his mother was pleasant, so long as he didn't ask how she came to adopt him.
As he became of age, strange things started to happen. Mages felt drowsy and light-headed after his performances. Everything shut down when he sang of a woman named Maggie who slit her throat. A mage of the same name slit her throat in the middle of the performance. It was a mistake, but he convinced her to kill herself with magic.
Outraged, the guild master locked Apollo away with the guild's overwhelming approval. After a year of being kept in a cage for beasts, he was allowed to walk free. Despite his willingness to comply, he was gagged, only allowed to eat and open his mouth under close guard. He was the guild's mute servant, hated and ridiculed by all. Having never been allowed to talk, Apollo never learned how to speak without lulling others into his control.
Apollo learned to hate humans. Over time, he learned that his eyes and some movements had the same effect as his voice. It took slow and patient practice, but he eventually mastered his latent abilities. One night, he convinced a mage to remove his gag.
The next morning, most of the male mages were found dead at the bottom of cliff over the sea. There were no signs of struggle amongst them. It was as though they had thrown themselves off. The women were gone without a trace. The guild master was found hung in the hall, with dozens of documents, detailing fraud and murder hidden from the public eye.
Apollo became a wanted man and a notorious dark mage. After the destruction of Odyssey, he vanished from the public eye.
Somehow, he was approached by Astral Lance, who offered him a position in the new Oracion Seis. He took him up on it, hoping for a brand new opportunity to rid the world of the laurels of lesser humans.

Name: Eliana Laux Age: 19 Date of Birth: March 14th Sex: Female
Appearance: Shortish messy brown hair, freckles, and slightly crooked teeth. Clothing-wise she sports a puffy red jacket, blue jeans and boots, and a flower hairclip.
Magic: Technically speaking, Elly doesn't have a magic of her own. While she has latent magical ability, she has never been formally trained, and so has never expressed whatever magical powers she may have. Instead, she has always subsisted on her ability to "world walk" which developed at an early age. This ability of hers is a genetic trait rather than strictly a magical ability, as everyone in her family is capable of doing it, going back generations farther than anyone can remember. While perhaps originally this was simply the magical ability of her ancestors, after enough time it has become so ingrained in the genealogy, that today it is nothing more than a characteristic of the genes much like hair or eye color. All of that aside, assumedly Elly has some actual magical capability, and with proper training would likely discover what it was.
History: Something of a problem child for her family, Eliana was a victim of her own ability at an early age. Because the ability to world walk didn't rely on one's own magical prowess or training, at an early age her ability developed naturally and without warning. Traditionally, children in the family were to be closely supervised in case this was an issue but in Elly's case, one day she simply disappeared from her crib. It took many years for her family to find her, and by then she had already been sufficiently raised by different peoples. Bringing her back to where she belonged was no great difficulty, but already she had begun to grow and develop into her own person unrelated to the family.
With such a gap in her being raised, her ability became problematic until eventually she was simply written off altogether as a black sheep, Laux only in name. She was used to a life that wasn't in-line with the rest of the family, and so the left her to live it. Unfortunately, it was a rather difficult and unlucky life, and setting out on her own seemed wonderful in theory but only led to problems. Eventually to get by she resorted to abusing her ability and even minor criminal acts, such that she has a little record of her own. This is not something she ever wanted or strived for, it's just that she wasn't really raised all that properly and also had the ability to more or less teleport. While she would like to live on the straight and narrow for sure, sometimes she's prone to bouts of unluckiness, and abuses her situation to get by. Something which, she's not all too proud of.
