Biography: Runic was born with a tremendous amount of magical energy, so much that upon his first birth cries, he levitated the entire hospital he was in. Having no way to control the young boy’s immense and out of control magical power, his parents sought to have him practice Idol magic, pouring all of his magical power into a container every day of his life. Unfortunately, there were some adverse side effects as something went wrong and from that day forth the boy never went outside, and when he did he was completely wrapped in cloth and bandages. The only object that his parents had on hand that was suitable for the Idol magic was a trophy sword, said to have been won from an outlaw by his mother in her mage days. Runic grew up, continually pouring his monstrous magical energy into the trophy blade until the age of 18 when the Idol finally manifested in his sword. To his apparent dismay his sword was a nagging young mother, who’s only child happened to be Runic. Biography:
Astral Lance originated somewhere in Fiore. Legend has it that he was struck by lightning when he was born and imbued with the power to control it.
As an adult, he found himself working in Nightingale alongside Pollux Road. When Nightingale was defeated by Fable, Pollux left the guild and Astral Lance, seeing nothing better to do, followed with him.
Astral Lance eventually found himself in the Oracion Seis, led by the mysterious Asmoday.
What happens after is blurry in history. After a turn of events, and over the period of over a hundred years, Astral Lance, still young, ends up as part of the new Magical Council, where he rules now.

Biography:
Lafite Penfold was abandoned sometime shortly after his birth for reasons unknown. He was raised in an orphanage in a very poor area of Fiore. Even as a child Penfold was very ambitious and claimed that he would become something great one day. At the age of 14 Penfold's talent at business was discovered and a couple of years later the poor orphan kid had become a successful businessman and was an owner of several small companies. As years passed Penfold's fortune and influence grew and grew and his influence started to spread in the country. By this point his charismatic personality had gained him many supporters and people that look up to him and the young man was starting to realize the power his charisma had over people. At age of 20 young Penfold discovered something unusual, he was able to use magic. His school of magic was something very unusual as he was able to control wine of all things. It's quite a mystery how he ended there since Penfold rarely uses his magic, most likely due to his charisma and influence, but at the age of 31 he got in to the magic council of Fiore and since then has climbed the ranks there all the way to rank number two. However this isn't quite enough for Lord Penfold as nothing sort of being number one is a failure to him. Nowadays Lord Penfold is one of the wealthiest, most powerful and influential people in all of Fiore.

Personality: Sometimes caring and sometimes cold. Janus seems to have a terrible time controlling his personality. He does not have a split personality but rather one that fluctuates rapidly between emotions. In his caring state, he often regrets his actions and pleads endlessly before beginning the cycle all over again.
Physical Abilities: Janus has been seen as a efficient climber and is known to possess extraordinary strength. At one point, a Fiore citizen witnessed him hanging from the branch of a tree upside down with his feet.

Appearance: If someone saw pictures of him years ago, they would notice something very different about Janus today. He seems to have a sort of eczema on his face, starting from his left jaw and rising up to his right eyebrow. It seems his allergies are now becoming extremely deadly for him, as if the world itself was rejecting him.
He now wears gloves and thick boots to protect his hands and feet. He usually wears protective goggles when walking outside. He is always seen with a long brown trench coat, with the tie belt at his waist forming two long tails at the back of it. His hunched back and dark circles around his eyes makes him look like he's constantly in pain.
Background: A former member of Fable and known double agent of Asmoday, the oddity known as Janus has become even more strange. Somehow he has survived over the years and has never aged.
He spends most of his time roaming Fiore, sleeping on the sides of roads and in alleyways. He seems lost, speaking to himself and scratching at the tails of his tie belt. He frequently mutters something about being "not free," "far from itching" and "better dead."

Biography:
Arthur Laurent was born to a family of good name, but in hard times. Although raised to be just and caring, he would eventually turn to the life of a criminal. What started as a hope to support his family, was the first of many small steps down a dark path leading a long fall. Initially he took up mercenary work, but this eventually lead to bandit work and the life of a marauder. Eventually his crimes caught up with him, and he spent some time in prison. It was there that he discovered the light and promise the Church of Zentopia could offer, and he begun to follow its teachings. When finally he was released, he expected he would have to make a life for himself, but instead he was invited home by his remaining family. While reluctant at first, he eventually returned to find his family welcoming him with open arms as though he had done nothing wrong, never a thing to shame them. In this revelation he decided to devote his life to the church, and begin again. Thereafter he worked for many years to reach the position he has today, and still he strives just as he ever had to promote those virtues of justice and caring. What began as an effort to seek personal salvation has become a life dedicated to helping others, though despite it all, Laurent still is not a peace with himself. It is his belief and hope that he will find this with continued service, despite the fact that he has not thus far.

Personality Description: Although Justin surely has a personality, it is almost impossible to see this. Even about his main focus and perhaps sole passion, his work, he is stoic and almost machine-like. Emotionally he is unreadable, as if simultaneously able to show antipathy and sympathy. In this way, like with his appearance, in terms of personality he may seem altogether alien to people and unapproachable. It's likely that his personality could be drawn out and with it emotions, however no one has really spent enough time or gotten close enough to Justin for this to happen. And really, who would want to? After all, even during acts like punishing sympathizers of evil, or even people he judges to be potential threats, he merely acts. No discernible feelings or emotions. Through and through, most people just view him as a walking instrument of divine justice rather than a person, and they'd be right to. As an aside, it is important to note that Justin only aligns himself with the Zentopia Church, because they generally strive for the same things as him or at least condone what he does. If he could combat evil without helping the church in any way, he would do so, and certainly if the church was itself revealed to be evil he would turn upon it without a second thought.
Magic Type of Magic: Divine Light Magic Weakness: Impossible to control, unable to discern friend from foe. Magic Description: From his person, Justin sheds a blinding, burning light that carries with it a force to repel. This light sears with a righteous fury and is most effective against evil forces, capable of burning them to ashes in a matter of moments. Unfortunately this magic seems antithetical to all living organisms to some extent, as though its presence is too pure for living things, and so even those who are not evil or even human can suffer from it. Common application is merely blinding bright and capable of burning subjects as well as pushing them away, however extended exposure can cause sickness or even disease in targets. If he so chooses however, Justin can channel this power into more concentrated forms rather than just an area of effect. Regardless, in order to limit exposure of others to his ability, usually only his head is exposed from his suit of armor. Thusly, his ability manifests as a translucent circle of light or halo behind his head, projecting outwards and reflecting off his armor. An important footnote that as per the magic's nature, Justin himself is not exempt from its effects either, and overtime is himself burned by it and because of the years of exposure is slowly going blind.

Biography:
From a very early age Justin displayed great and terrible magical power. Rather than let this power go to waste or be abused however, he was noticed and trained by local mages. No one was willing to take him in or spend an extended amount of time with the boy, but still he was sufficiently trained. Eventually deciding to put his powers to use, Justin began to work with guilds to complete jobs or tackle threats. Although none would have him, many were willing to contract his assistance for such jobs and tasks. At some point down the road he was noticed by the church whom shared with him their goals and beliefs, to which he took to like a fish to water. In a way he was glad for this, because unlike anyone else thus far, the church was willing to accept him for who he was and what he could do and were not afraid to involve him closely. After some years of service and performing a miracle by combating a plague, Justin attained sainthood, and his role as the punishing angel; the first, last, and only defense against the forces of darkness. Today he travels about when directed by the church to combat threats, and when not directed by the church, wanders around in his own search and pursuit of threats.

Personality: Mal has a calm, even disposition that is very relaxed and laid back. Even when in battle or under other circumstances that might cause others to become on edge Mal keeps his calm relaxed manner, always having a small smile upon his face. Though usually calm Mal can become anxious. When he does so he will break out into song usually singing some sort of folk song.
Mal is also extremely respectful towards others and usually waits until they finish speaking before acting or speaking himself a trait which he has picked up from Anthony as the two usually work with one another. He treats everyone this way even foes and complete strangers. Mal is very easy to befriend though he doesn’t not enjoy the company of those who harm others without necessity and therefore doesn’t interact much with dark mages instead brushing them off in a somewhat respectful manner unless he is ordered to interact with them directly or capture them. It is usually at this point does Mal become rather serious in his mannerisms though there is still an air of calm about him. He also finds it hard to be friends with someone who is rude though can make an expectation if that person proves themselves to be a good natured person at heart. Although Mal is respectful he has trouble remembering others names and will usually give them some sort of nickname. These nicknames sometimes don’t even make sense (I.e calling someone named Hiroshi, Tony).
His passions seem to be reading and learning anything that he can and indeed he seems to have a fairly high intellect. Mal has a major phobia of horses due to a childhood accident. He is rather proud of his magic due to the fact that he inherited it from his father.
Physical Abilities: Mal isn’t considered a melee fighter by most. Not to say that he wouldn’t be able to combat some in a fight it is just not his area of expertise as it is with others. Mal instead relies on his magic to fight at a distance. Even without using any special bullets Mal is still an incredible shot. In close quarters Mal displays a flashy fighting style, twirling and spinning his gun around. While this may be a disadvantage for most Mal uses it with such grace and accuracy as well as skill that it causes him to be much more dangerous.
Magic Abilities: Magic Name: Quick Reload Type: Holder Type Description: This magic allows Mal to imbue his pistol with his own magical energy allowing him no need for purchasing ammo as it allows him to create his own. He can create any type of ammo ranging from normal bullets to ones that freeze people. Really any type of magical property the user wants the ammo to have it does. Mal does not even have to pause between the use of different ammo instead being able to switch seamlessly from one to another without hesitation allowing for vicious combo attacks. Despite the name Mal does not actually ever have to reload due to his skill in the magic. Mal is able to develop newer magical bullets by watching others magic and than “copying” their powers into bullet form. He is also able to combine different types of bullets into one such as combining the Hive bullet and the Boom Boom bullet into one kind.
Types of Bullets Known To Be Used: These are the bullets that Mal has been seen using. Knowing him and his skills though there are bound to be more.
Blood - This bullet has no special functions other than making people bleed.
Boom Boom - An explosive round that releases an intense burst of fire upon contact.
Headache - A concussive round that is used to knock a foe unconscious.
Popsicle - This bullet encases the opponent in a block of ice upon contact.
Farside - Used for long distance shots. Also travels very quickly making it hard to dodge.
Tracker Keeper - Keeps track of the person shot via a mental link with Mal. Whomever is shot does not even notice unless actually paying attention to Mal and what he is doing.
Hive - When fired splits into ten bullets that seek out their targets based on who Mal is looking at or thinking about harming.
Appearance: Mal is tall, muscular and very well built standing at a good six feet and weighing a good one hundred and seventy pounds. His skin tone is rather tan as he spends most of his time outside traveling. Mal’s hair is black and shoulder length with his bangs falling over his eyes. His facial features are firm though this does not mean he is ugly. In fact Mal is one of the more handsome fellows in the Council. One of Mal’s most noticeable feature are his violet eyes. Mal’s skin has been commented on as being fairly smooth.
Mal has several tattoos on his body. The most noticeable being the words bang bang written across his knuckles and two pistols tattooed on his arms, one on each forearm. His neck is tattooed with the words “Sneaky Sneaky”. He also has two piercing in each lobe of his ears.
Mal’s clothing consists of a long sleeve button up dark blue shirt that he leaves untucked with a breast pocket on each side. The sleeves are rolled up to expose his tattoos. Mal wears a black tie along with his shirt. Underneath his shirt Mal wears a black undershirt with ¾” length sleeves which he keeps tucked in. The shirt and undershirt are both made of high quality cotton. His pants are navy blue cargo pants held up by a black leather belt with a silver buckle and studs. Mal’s shoes are dark brown combat boots covering ankle length black socks. On his left side he wears a holster for his pistol. Background: An Entry From Mal’s Journal. Date Unknown. 18th birthday Lights brushed up against my face forcing me out of my slumber. As much as I enjoyed sleep I did enjoy the mornings just as much. Mornings meant breakfast which meant Mom‘s cooking. I rose slowly out of bed as always. Dad said that I was too relaxed I usually responded that he was too uptight. The two of us didn‘t always see eye to eye as he approached things with a seriousness that sometimes drove Mom up the wall and I went about things with a laid back manner that made her fear I would get myself harmed due to carelessness. Though no matter our differences we still loved each other and I can remember clearly the day that Dad had left his guild. Mom was so excited that she didn’t have to worry anymore, myself on the other hand was a bit disappointed and even though I did not show it I could tell he knew.
When questioned about why I told him that he no longer seemed like the hero he use to be when I was growing up. Smiling that same smile he always had when he was about to teach me some life lesson he took me by my hand and led me to the porch. As we sat down and stared out at the children playing around the neighborhood he spoke quietly and softly words of wisdom that I will never forget, “Sometimes you must end the game to let others play.” I did not understand the words at first but as I watched new mages come and go I understood.
Standing up I stretched and peered outside. There in the pasture in the back of our house stood Zeus my fathers favorite horse and my nemesis. I hated that horse due to the fact that at my first attempt at riding he had thrown off his back and into the nearby river where I would have drown no doubt if I had not been saved by my fathers quick thinking. After dressing I made my way downstairs and saw my parents sitting at the table. There was no food but instead a holster and a pistol I was knew all to well. The pistol that my father had used for magic for numerous years and the same pistol in which I practiced with when my father decided it was time for me to learn. Sitting me down my parents explained that it was time that I went off on my own and learn about the world through my own experiences. Sliding the pistol over to me my father explained that he would like for me to use it in my travels and to hone my own magical powers. Without so much as a word I grasped the pistol in my hand and studied it over as if it was the first time I had seen it even though I had held it several times before. Sliding it back into the holster I looked back over at my parents who were now gazing at the table.
We didn’t have much to say after that moment and so I decided to pack my stuff holstered my firearm and stepped outside to start my adventure.

Personality: Anthony is one of the more respectful members of the Council usually waiting to hear explanations or comments before acting or speaking. He holds the Council in high regard as they have provided him a home when he had none. He also has a good understanding of his skills and position in the Council and usually does not combat those he knows he can not defeat instead leaving them for other members. Oddly enough Anthony seems to have a rather good relationship with Mark despite his attitude towards other members, the two enjoying rather civilized conversations considering.

Magic Name: Sound Manipulation Description: This magic is a holder magic. It allows Anthony to channel his magic into any instrument or musical equipment he wishes. Each particular item is able to effect sound in a different way. Anthony is incredibly skilled at this particular magic that he is able to affect multiple instruments at a time. He can also affect instruments that are not his without any problem.
Effects: Flute - The Flute has a sleeping effect on everyone who hears it’s tune. Only incredibly strong willed people can stay awake and even they will feel drowsy and not be able to perform at the best of their abilities.
Guitar - The guitar is able to create razor sharp blades of sound that Anthony uses to cut and dice his opponents in a fight.
Drum - The drum uses sound waves to produce earthquake like effects on the surrounding area making it difficult for others to stand or even move. It also makes it difficult for Earth Mages to use their magic correctly. If Anthony wishes he can cause cracks and tears in the ground in order to capture or possibly kill someone.
Harp: The harp is able to create solid sound constructs that Anthony can control like puppets. The sound constructs are incredibly durable as well as strong and usually take on the form of angels but can take any form that Anthony wishes.
Saxophone: The saxophone is able to use large amount of sound waves to create mental discomfort in an opponent. It causes most others to collapse within a matter of seconds. The sax also uses concussive sound waves to blast back opponents as well as break bones.
Headphones: The headphones allow Anthony to use a type of sonar which allows him to “see” within a set distance.
Amp: The amp increases the power and range of any instrument or musical equipment connected to it. Anthony can connect multiple things to the amp without any feedback or overlap in the sounds.
Microphone: The microphone allows Anthony to compel people to do what he wants. Only incredibly strong willed individuals can break the spell and even then may still have a slight yearning to do as Anthony wishes.
Appearance: Anthony’s appearance is quite different than one would expect from someone so respectful. Most people assume he is loud and obnoxious due to his rocker look. His hair is shaved shorter on the right side of his head while his left side flows down past his shoulder and is dyed red with black tips, his real hair color being unknown. Even his eyebrows are dyed red. Anthony’s lips, nose, and ears are pierced with his lips bearing snake bite piercing and his ears being gauged. His features are rather soft though he has been noted to have a strong jaw line. Due to his blindness Anthony is normally seen wearing some sort of sunglasses, depending on the day, and his headphones. Wears button up plaid shirts with the sleeves rolled up and blue jeans. Footwear varies but usually sandals.
Background: Anthony was blinded at a very young age as he has stated that it is his first real memory though he refuses to comment on what happened that day. As such he has learned to adjust quite easily in the magic world without his sight. Anthony hasn’t mentioned much about his past other than the fact that he was raised by his grandparents and when they died he was left with no home. He has also stated that he had hoped to join a guild at one point before his grandparents death but due to his grandfather being a member of the Council decided to hone his abilities in order to become a member. In this way, while Maven may be the official master of Legend, Evander acts as the effective leader of the guild. Biography:
Initially, Evander was just a refugee boy from Seven, unlucky enough to get caught by the border guards. After displaying magical skill however, Simon Gilavar made a special request for the boy to be released into his custody, after which he brought him into the guild Legend. Growing up with Simon and the rest of the guild as his adopted family was not easy, but he was helped out whenever he needed it. While he was never magically very strong, Evander became one of the most loyal and dependable members in the guild, by the time he had grown into a young man. Because of this, at the time of the guild war, he was approached by Simon personally. Although Evander helped with the initial defense against the attackers, before the guild master left to take the fight to the enemy he charged the dependable young mage with getting his daughter Maven to safety, and to protect her.
The rest was history, and by the time the smoke cleared, Evander was one of five guild members left alive. Unfortunately three of those survivors didn't remain with the guild, but Evander rose to the challenge, and eventually reached the S-Rank mage class for the guild. That said, this was not some impossible feat given that there were only two members left.
Nowadays Evander minds the guild in the stead of the actual guild master, Maven. Having never given up hope or faith in Legend, he maintains active recruitment, an active role in the Dunwald community and border patrol, and supports the guild in whatever way he can. As such he as become something of the face of Legend in Dunwald, and seeks to maintain its role and members as best he can. Of course he realizes that if Legend will ever be able to return to its past success, it will need a better master than Maven. That said, he would never dream of actually taking the position from her. Partly because of the promise he made to her father, but partly because he believes in her, and would rather support her so that one day she accepts her responsibility and becomes the leader she was born to be. It is because of his loyalty to her though, that he seeks to assist her in all things, even in her distancing of herself from the guild.

Biography:
Having joined Legend at an early age, Emanuel has had a long time to develop his skills and magic. A thing of great pride he considers, that he is the only remaining guild member who was an S-rank before the war with Flint Ocelot. Having been born and raised in Dunwald, Emanuel became an apprentice mage as soon as possible, and in no time at all he was performing jobs for the guild proper. Instrumental in improving relations between the town, the town watch, and the guild, it was only by chance that he was away from the guild at the time of the war so that he was spared the brutal fighting and came through as one of the five survivors. Despite the key role he had to play in the reconstruction and maintaining of the guild's charter, because of his absence during the conflict, Emanuel secretly carries much guilt over this matter and so to this day serves Legend as surely as he ever had. While he could have simply left the dying guild long ago, he has never been able to come to terms with his shortcoming, and so by remaining with Legend he never has to. Rather than leave to fulfill his grand ambitions, he would instead make Legend as great as can be so that it could fulfill those ambitions in some other guild's place.
Emanuel has always been an active member in the community, and a great help to the crippled guild as well, offering support and assistance to whomever might need it; either inside the guild or out. He is a well-known figure in the region, let alone simply Dunwald, and he is generally quite well-recognized and received wherever he might go. Though he may tend to be a bit narcissistic and self-serving in higher matters though, he has never failed to serve Legend and Dunwald well.
For all that he is, Emanuel is a distinct contrast to his fellow S-rank mage, Evander. While Scorpionfield seeks to return the guild to what it was, and to keep tradition in place with Maven in charge, Watkyns seeks to propel the guild into the future to become more than it ever was, and eagerly awaits the inevitable day when Maven will have to appoint the new guild master. This suits him all just fine, because her unwillingness to lead has not gone unnoticed by Emanuel, and he openly supports her leaving to pursue her own interests. Because of all this, at times Emanuel and Evander can stand at odds with one another.

Biography:
Satir is not a native of Dunwald, and quite early on he took to the spiritual life, growing up in a temple. At around the age of eighteen he left to undertake a pilgrimage as laid down by his elder priests. This led him around Fiore for some years, where he was able to better hone his meager magical skills. Eventually his travels led him to the border, specifically to Dunwald where he sought to complete the next step of his journey by making the climb up Dagger's Ascent to the altar at the top. To his disappointment however, he found that not only had the cathedral along the ascent had been all but destroyed in a magical guild war, but the alter itself had also gone missing.
In seeking to find it, Satir found himself staying in Dunwald for an extended period of time, finding the area to be quite intriguing both from a physical and a spiritual standpoint for the kind of challenges it posed. Eventually he ended up joining the local magical guild, Legend, in order to help out with the town and assist the kingdom in whatever ways were needed all the while he searched for the altar.
Four years later and he still hasn't found it, his pilgrimage still pending, however Satir is in no great hurry with his own time to spare. In a way, Legend and Dunwald have become something of a second home to him, and helping the both of them are at least worth putting his journey off for perhaps a couple of years yet. It's not like he has a shortage of time to complete it, after all.
