"The strongest guild in Fiore? Well that isn't anything like the strongest guild in Minstrel, but I'll tag along. If it shapes up to be what you say it is, then I might just stick around."The sight of the other mages around Eldrond made the fellow wonder how perceptive they all really were. He had thought a distance of hundreds of feet between him and them would have afforded a shield for his boastful muttering, but here they all were. Then again, maybe most mages in Fiore had a similar mastery, and he wasn't taking them seriously enough. But, who could take them seriously? The people in front of him were dressed like mad circus workers, why there was even what appeared to be an actual clown. He had been around enough to know not to have any misgivings about these people despite their looks; you could never really tell with magic. He could see though, how some people would be dissuaded by their appearance. Regardless, he sheathed his sword and hefted the rifle running diagonally across his back, dropping some coins on the table to indicate he was ready to leave. "So where to then? I'm betting you didn't come into town on a grocery run..."Through it all the man himself was not all that threatening, just his demeanor. In looking at the man, Puck had no trouble in seeing the vague semblance of his dream as the figures danced around, including the one who had been crossed out seeming to indicate that they were not dead as such a marking may have indicated. They would continue to dance and play just as they ever had, except for one. The one without a normal face who, in time, would let go of the circle of joined hands to stand apart from the others and stare directly at Puck. At least in appearance, it seemed this one lone figure unlike the others, was aware it was being watched. Of note, that it did not seem to have a head, only something in its place.

"Hmm?" A very peculiar looking man had picked up a piece of paper from the ground in front of him and took a good look at it. It was some sort of flier advertising a guild, who was supposedly the greatest in the country. "Guild Renascence? Hmm... Maybe... Though I've never heard of them..." He mumbled to himself as he read through the flier and took a turn towards the location where the guild was supposedly to be located. The man wasn't the most well versed of all the numerous mage guilds in this kingdom, but he did know all of the most famous ones and this definitely was not one of them.
"...Though there is something suspicious about this..."
Like earlier had been stated the man looked quite peculiar and indeed he was. Most notably he sported a blue Mohawk and was wearing a black biker's jacket with a text that read 'JπT' written on it, what ever that meant. Rather than wearing the jacket properly he used it like cape so that his arms were largely visible. This punk looking fellow also wore a pair of black sunglasses to finish the attire. He was also carrying an old and dusty suitcase with him.
On his way towards this guild the man noted that there had been quite a few of these very same fliers scattered around the town and most people had not paid much attention to them, which did raise some suspicions in the man's head. He still decided to go take a look, nonetheless. It didn't take him more than couple of minutes to finally arrive to the supposed location of this magnificent guild. And there he found nothing, just an empty seaside cliff, with a few odd looking people standing there.
"This can't be right." The man thought and through his black sunglasses intensively stared at the flier he had with him, thinking that he may have read the directions wrong. But for the best or for the worst he did realize that he was where he was supposed to be, this was the supposed greatest guild in Fiore, just a plot of land with a nice scenery. "Well this was a huge waste of time."
Even then the man did not decide to turn around quite yet and instead wanted to figure out what was really going on here. Then he turned towards the person closest to him and asked: "Isn't there supposed to be a guild here?" and after a couple of seconds silence "And who is in charge of this?"
At this point the man with the blue Mohawk was quite sure that he wouldn't join the guild here, even if it was a real thing instead of a joke or scam, which it seemed to be. Sure he hadn't had huge expectations from a guild that advertises with cheap fliers, but this was even worse than he could have imagined.

OOC: Forgive me, kylor.
The Horse Giant tilted its head downward at John. It held its head to the side so that one of its black eyes was looking directly at him.
"I guess this would be Renascence if the sign is correct. Tell me, do you know anything about this fair? What kind of guilds does it celebrate? I am sure my Master would love to know."
It seemed to think this was some kind of fair. The small mage hiccuped in his/her sleep, strapped to the horse's back.

Elrond laughed and was glad that Alden was joining him and his newly formed group of mages. Maybe it wasn't as difficult as people made it out to be, setting up a Guild that is. In response to Alden's comment about a grocery run...
"Well, you could say that," said Elrond. "I'm only here looking for mages. And now you're one. What to do next... Well let's see. First we need to start building the--"
Elrond was cut off by the sound of someone yelling towards him and the group a few meters away. Pushing through the crowd of innocent people stood two mages.
Sarah was the first one. She was a young, slender girl with amazing eyes and red lips. She had silver hair that curled gracefully around her face. She also wore a knee length blue dress. Overall, she didn't look that threatening, but she certainly was acting threatening.
The second person was Cruckus. He was a tall muscular man covered in numerous scars. He didn't wear a shirt, rather liking to show off his battle scars. He wears a pair of baggy pants and fingerless biker gloves. He was much more threatening looking than Sarah.
Sarah took a few steps towards the group, walking somewhat like a model, crossing her legs almost comically as she walked. She gave a grin at the group, laughing in a snotty tone. "Well, look who it is! A group of new mages forming together maybe? You don't have a chance in the world!"
She spun around and began walking away, her chin in the air. "You should know, we're from the Guild that owns this town. It's called Atrum, and our Guild Master has strict rules on any newbie Guilds trying to form around here. I'll ask you to abandon your Guild now, or we'll have to take it down ourselves."
She put a hand on Cruckus' chest, looking slyly back at the group. "Isn't that right, Cruckus?"
Elrond frowned, crossing his arms. He looked to his left and right at the group behind him, then turned back to the two Atrum Guild mages. "Well guys, what do you think we should do?"
---
Elsehwere, back at the empty plot of land that was the Renascence Guild, a group of mages had appeared. They all seemed very confused, wondering if this was some kind of joke. While they were trying to figure out what was going on, a figure approached them.
She was a skinny, pale young woman with black parted hair. She wore a dark purple cloak which covered half of her face. She wore light grey pants and leather boots. He pale brown eyes seemed piercing.
"You're Renascence, correct? Not much of a Guild you have here."
She then raised her hands, and four giant nails shot out of the ground, floating in mid air and pointing towards the group. "I was told to let you live if you ran, but that's not fun, now is it?"

John, for a good half minute, stood completely dumbfounded at the Horse Giant. Now there was no doubt in his mind, this was the strangest moment of his life. Perhaps he had read the sign wrong? No, he was sure he got it right. The flier said "the strongest guild in Fiore," and definitely also said Renascence in bold letters, as did the sign, so there must have been some sort of embarrassing mix-up somewhere. He considered trying to explain matters to the Horse Giant, although he wasn't sure how do say things in a manner that he could understand. Especially because John himself definitely already didn't understand.
"No, you see, I'm here about this flier." He held up the flier in question, high enough for the Horse Giant to get a good look. "For this guild. The strongest guild in Fiore? Have you heard of it? 'cause otherwise, I don't know, I'm really just here to look around."
The awkward moment was ended, thankfully, by the approach of a strange woman and a bunch of mages. He smiled upon seeing the nails. Now he was finally in territory he was comfortable with.
"Damn," he whistled, "that's some dangerous equipment you got there, baby. You might wanna be careful about where you point those things, got it?" he grinned, flashing his teeth, and held up his hands to show he meant no harm. "So tell me, miss, you here for the fair too? See, we might have a bit of a misunderstanding here. Why don't we just settle down and talk for a bit, all nice like?" While it was true that he wasn't a part of Renascence, (and the prospects of joining seemed less appealing by the second) his pride wouldn't let him back down from a clear threat either. And besides, if this woman had answers, would it really be a bad idea to stick around long enough to hear them?

"Oh wait... mages? This is a damn magic guild isn't it? What is it with you mages and your guilds?"
Alden groaned and rolled his eyes, as if his day couldn't get any worse. He had already agreed to go with them so he might as well see what was up, but he previous conceptions and curiosity about 'strongest guild in Fiore' were shattered. It was pretty clear had Elrond been straightforward or you know... honest, Alden would likely not have agreed to anything.
And then the pushy snob woman showed up. Alden didn't like being talked down to by anyone, least of all mages. The more she went on though, a smirk began to creep across his face, and he crossed his arms as he stood there and took it. The best part was that she was already describing their ultimatum, which ended in violence. He loved people like this because they were already speaking his language, and he didn't have to feel bad about whatever he did to them. After all, they clearly didn't care about him.
"Well guys, what do you think we should do?"
"It looks like we've got some trespassers on our property. I say we remove them."
Clearly he didn't seem to care who heard him at this point. He had chosen his words as carefully as the Atrum mage had.

Puck grumbled absent-mindedly to himself as the helmed traveler agreed to join the guild. He rubbed in eyes, still in disbelief that a "dream" had interacted with him in such a way. The image of the figure's head was burned into his mind, he kept note, he would have to confront the man later and perhaps ask him if he recognized the symbol.
Taking a whiff at a passing gust of wind, the green-haired mage winced as if he'd just caught a wiff of bad gas. Turning he stuck his tongue in disgust at seeing the two Atrum mages, not out of disgust at their appearances but rather...
"...their dreams! Yuck, you could hardly even call them that, all sickly green and too dark of a purple...wouldn't taste good at all."
As Alden stepped forward first in response to Elrond's query, Puck was surprised. Perhaps he had judged the mage hunter wrong, but for now...
"Chin up there sir. I can see your dream flickering, keep it strong, and fight to achieve it."
Striding forward to break away from the group. Puck stopped and pointed at Cruckus. It was a funny little scene, a short young man with bright green hair pointing at a large intimidating man.
"I am Puck Mayvill, a mage of the guild Renascence. And for the dream of my guildmaster, I challenge you big disgusting oaf to a fight."
Assuming a fighting stance with his fists held out in front of him, Puck paused and looked over his shoulder at Elrond.
"Erm..I don't believe I caught your name Guildmaster. Or yours, stranger, or...any of you."
It seemed Puck was fairly confident in his victory over the hulking Atrum mage, seeing as he wasn't even looking at the man he had just challenged. Or perhaps he was just really naive.

"I think you must be mistaken, good sir," the Horse Giant said as seriously as he could. "There is no guild here, after all."
When the Horse read the flier though, his face remained the same, though he seemed to understand.
"Renascence is a guild? Oh dear, what a misunderstanding this is. My master will not be pleased."
The Horse neighed when the dark haired women approached them. She seemed to be one of the most evil people he had ever encountered. But maybe she was just acting to seem tough. He tried to remain as still as he could so as to not harm any mages around him.
"I agree with this tiny, intelligent man. I would rather wait for my master to wake up from her sleep before we participate in any sort of duel so we should speak about our problems. What troubles you about the guild these mages belong to?"

Cruckus glanced slightly at the mages standing before him. Sighing at Sarah as she spoke, he seemed to straighten himself up and present himself so that they could view him fully. Soak in just how large he was. To most it would seem that he was trying to threaten them but to Cruckus he was simply giving them an understanding. An understanding that they should not underestimate him nor his partner and that he would not underestimate them.
”Sarah let us make sure that we don’t make any mistakes here. We must approach them as worthy opponents,” Cruckus said as he looked over each of the mages standing before him. When they finally replied to Sarah’s statements, Cruckus chuckled slightly.
It seemed the smallest one wanted to fight. Without saying a word Cruckus moved into his fighting form. It looked to be a simple boxing stance. Staring straight at the boy in front of him Cruckus swung his large arm upward. Quickly small particles began to wrap themselves around his arm. Before anyone could say anything Cruckus’s arm had now become what looked like a diamond hammer, though a darker tint than normal diamond. Without pause the behemoth of a man brought the hammer down towards Puck’s head.
----
West watched silently as everyone started talking. He found himself unable to even think up a simple sentence with so many people around. Instead he opted to just seem like a background character for the moment. It wasn’t that he wouldn’t mind fighting for the guild, but he wasn’t even sure he was in it.
Scratching his head in confusion, West noticed Cruckus begin the fight without warning. ”H-hey perhaps yo-you should tur-turn around,” he tried shouting the words, but they simply escaped his lips in more of a loud whisper than anything else.

"Oooh, Minstrel? Sounds fun! And what do you mean 'oh wait mages'? Isn't it obvious that only mages do guilds? Or, I think...Those are the only ones you ever hear about, anyway. Eh? What's this?" Dofun turned his attention to the two newcomers. He turned his head this way and that as they spoke as if confused by their words. When they were finished talking, he simply yawned and watched as Puck said some things too. And then a big hammer came out of nowhere and attacked!
Before any weapon could make its mark on Puck, a second hammer was swung and collided with the diamond weapon. The challenger, the new arrival, the one ready to take it all and go home with a nice belt and sack of prize money, was Dofun's massive hammer that he now held with both hands. Surprisingly enough, the circus clown was able to force his hammer through enough to hopefully have Cruckus back off; the clown was at least able to hold his own against the large man's strength with the help of his large and odd weapon.
"Ooh...That's a nice magic. Very cool! I never saw that one before!" The clown swayed back and forth, side to side as he stared at the diamond arm.
"I think i'll try it on."
Dofun's hammer was slammed onto the ground, leaving a very cracked little crater. As he lifted it back up, one would now notice the new diamond coating that covered every inch of it except for the actual rod-handle of the weapon. The diamonds had obviously never been there before and were identical to those on Cruckus's arm. The clown swung his now-diamond hammer around with no care for who or what happened to be too close to him, apparently forgetting that he had jumped in front of Puck and had not moved far from that spot before showing off. He slammed the hammer onto the ground again, the diamonds still on and not showing any sign of going away.
"Well, come on. Let's play!" The clown sped towards the big lug with his hammer and swung from the side, hoping to slam the large amount of diamonds gathered together onto the large end of the hammer into the opponent's side as hard as he could.

The man who was dressed like a punk never got the answer he was looking for or more accurately any answer at all from the person he had asked about this guild. Getting ignored seemed to visibly upset him as he looked quite frustrated there for a moment. It didn't go any further than that as the man calmed down quite quickly. It would seem like this man was quite easy to anger.
Then a woman approached the punk and the other people who were at this plot of land that supposedly was the guild Renascence. Very quickly the woman got really aggressive towards the people present and that seemed to irritate the man as well, with his right eye twitching for a second. Again the punk calmed down fast and then just tried to walk past this woman, who apparently wanted to destroy this scam of a guild known as Renascence.
"I have nothing to do with this guild." The punk said as he walked by, ignoring the magical needles the woman had pulled out.

If Cruckus was surprised by the clowns intervention it did not show on his face. Instead he kept a calm demeanor and brought his hand back to his side allowing the diamond to disappear. He watched the clown closely as he played with his hammer. It was interesting to see the clown use Cruckus’s magic that much he would admit. When the clown brought the hammer to Cruckus’s side he simply allowed the attack to hit. He slide slightly to the side of where he was originally standing but overall seemed unharmed.
Straightening himself Cruckus chuckled softly. “You shouldn’t talk so much during fights. You give to much time for the opponent to prepare themselves against your attacks,” Cruckus said as small particles of diamond fell off his side. One could obviously see that he had coated the part of his side that the clown had aimed at in his magic. Quickly the diamond disappeared yet again. Without a word Cruckus brought his hand back, diamond slowly forming in his hand.
Quickly Cruckus threw his hand forward allowing the diamond to quickly gather and extend like some sort of lance towards the clown.

Puck had jerked his head back, one arm pulled back ready to counter Cruckus' attack. To his surprise however, the odd clown came to his aid, knocking away the diamond hammer with his own large mallet. Puck blinked in confusion and then grinned.
"Thanks for the help clown, though I still don't know your name..."
Seeing the odd hilarious mage seemingly imitate the powerful magic of Cruckus, Puck raised an eyebrow but was glad that the clown was on his side and not against him. This giant foe with the rock-like magic was enough of a challenge. Indeed, considering his own magic this would be difficult...but doable.
As Cruckus retaliated with an extending lance of the diamond mineral, Puck jumped to the side with lightning quickness. Before the sharp piercing weapon would be able to menace Dofun, Puck jumped in the air and with a quick flip, brought his heel down on the lance, smashing it point first towards the ground.
Not finished yet, Puck shot down at the diamond lance with both feet in a reckless drop kick, targeting the same exact spot where his initial flip axe kick had struck. All the combined damage managed to snap off the tip of the lance and Puck picked up the small conical tip of the diamond lance and picked at his teeth with it, grinning cheekily at Cruckus.
"Can't trust appearances, not really diamond now is this?"
Chucking the tip of the not-so-diamond lance at Cruckus like a football, Puck rushed forward and aimed a barrage of punches and kicks at the larger man's torso, using his small size and speed to his advantage to get inside the larger man's guard.

Elrond was surprised to see his guild mates attack so quickly! He was glad to see it though. He always thought hesitation was the last thing you should have in a battle to protect what is yours. He watched as the clown, Dofun, and the Dragon Slayer, Puck, go after the big guy.
West and Alden, however, still haven't attacked yet.
"You two," he called out. "I think those guys can handle the big one by themselves. Let's go after the lady!"
Elrond then clenched his fists tightly, his eyes closing, and a powerful aura swept over his body. Small rocks and pebbles began to float in the air and the ground began to crack around him. Elrond had inherited a powerful earth magic, and this is how it all began.
Elrond then froze, and all the pebbles fell back to the ground. Even the crack in the ground repaired itself. He blinked a moment, then looked over at West and Alden.
"You two go on ahead," he said, chuckling nervously. "I'm not that great fighting... women.." He then blushed and tried to hide himself behind a wooden pillar of one of the nearby buildings. He waved nervously to Alden and West, trying to make them start. "Go on now. Don't worry about me, haha..."
---
Sarah seemed dumbstruck at the Guild Master's actions, but decided to forget it. She had her own battles to fight now, apparently. It seemed Cruckus was handling his fight well, so she turned towards the two mages Elrond sent out.
"Two against one, hmm?" she asked, chuckling. "That's not very nice! I am just a lady after all." (Elrond blushed even more.)
"But if you must, then I should warn you that this won't end well for either of you. You might not ever be the same again..."
From behind Sarah, she pulled out two huge long sewing needles, and each needle had thread attached to them. She began swinging them around like a sword, awaiting the two attackers.
---
Atrum paused, looking at the Horse Giant, John, and Jupiter. She pulled back her giant nails and they sunk back into the ground like water. She took a few steps towards them, then waved her hand in disappointment.
"So it's true, you're not part of Renascence," she said. "Master never does like it when I kill civilians. Perhaps you're free to go for now. Just be--!"
Suddenly, Atrum froze as if she was hit by a cold, chilling wind. Her eyes went wide for a moment, and she started to look around. After a moment of searching through bushes and shrubs, she turned towards the Horse Giant and started walking towards it.
"You, there!" she shouted. A sword formed in her hand, a black purple thin blade. "What exactly are you carrying? Let me see it!"
She felt something powerful hiding on it's back, and she wanted to know what it was.

The Horse Giant smiled as best as he could when Atrum agreed to peaceful conversation. This attempt to show his happiness made him look like he was "derping out." He derped even harder when Atrum started looking around for something.
"What am I carrying?" he asked. "I'm not carrying anything. Oh, you mean my summoner, Xing Qi Ruby."
He shuffled around, scooting as tight as he could so he didn't bump into anyone. He faced out toward the ocean, allowing the mage on his back to face the others.
"Master, please wake up," he said cautiously.
"Hmmm?"
Jade eyes opened, framed by ruby colored hair. The summoner looked out drearily at the others, bundled in the Horse Giant's backpack with her head and walking cane poking out. She looked rather like a young prince, with her oriental, ceremonial robes
"Ah, lots of mages," she said, looking down at the crowd, "and three brooders. Are you all related?"
She looked to Atrum, John and Jupiter she said this. She seemed to think that because they had dark hair and Jupiter wore drab clothing that they had something to do with each other.
"Where are we, Horse?" she asked in near monotone.
"We are at Renascence Guild, Master," Horse responded.
"This doesn't look like a guild..."
Xing Qi had a sour look on her face. She probably should have been awake to get a better feel for the situation.
