I'd like the world maker one too, that sounds fun. Though given we've already established that I'm the evil apathy god, I don't think I'd last long.
"Why are you so evil!?" "Meh."

It'd be like Hercules the movie, but we play the gods.
My face when someone gets married and has a god baby and the wedding party/baby shower.

If it's all the same to you, I'd like to try and Moderate The Legend of Zelda RPG. Just give me a section of the forum to work with and I can build it up from scratch in no time flat.
If you want, I could even make the My Little Pony RPG as well, I'll do them both!

Yes.
I'm all for Rinji modding a Legend of Link RP, MLP too, sure why not. Interesting ideas, though i'm really just going with the flow here. If both RPs open, i'll do them, if only one of them opens, no complaints.
BUT OPRP COMES FIRST ABOVE ALL RPS
REMEMBER THAT

Hey, I have an idea. How about we just have an original High Fantasy RP like what you see in many RP sites. It could be as simple as your standard Lord of the Rings/Dungeons and Dragons type story, with players playing characters of various fantasy races [elves, dwarves, orcs, etc.] or could go in one of a million different directions, like for example, perhaps exploring what a High Fantasy-type world would be like as its technology inevitably progressed into that world's own equivalent of the Industrial Revolution, or perhaps we could set it in the real world, albeit in the Middle Ages, and have it progress against the backdrop of the major historical events of that period.
These are just a few basic ideas [the first is actually something I came up with as the premiss for a novel I'm considering writing], but I just think that having some sort of original fantasy RP [as opposed to a franchise-based one like the Legend of Zelda idea that seems to be popular, and that's not to say we couldn't do both] is just one of those things that is a staple for any good variety RP site to have. So, does that sound interesting to anyone?

We tried doing an original fantasy RP before.
It was actually pretty cool and went for awhile, it was just that with only 3 people it ran out of steam eventually.
Conversely I also suggested an actual system-based RPG as well, though people didn't seem interested in THAT idea.

Those seem like great ideas, but I wouldn't be into it. I can just barely post in 3 threads as it is. But if you can get people to rally behind you I'd say go for it.

As I like to say, if you can get 3 people interested, you have it. Again though, keep in mind there should be no more than 3 types of RPG's just to manage it all.

The only kind of RP I would join at this point would be a short story plot with a definite ending, like the Baccano-esque RPG some people were suggesting.

Well then, how many people would be interested? Does an original high fantasy RP some type sound interesting to you guys?

Yeah I already thought of that idea. I even added Vampires and Werewolves to the mix at one point, and then Shark thought of Skyrim RPG which is more or less just your basic Fantasy RPG just with a certain set of races. Like they said, the problem is that there's already so much RPing going on for such a small group that it's really a gamble to try and set up another one. There have been RPGs that were starting off just fine, it's just that people got more busy with the more prominent RPG's. Right now we're playing Roulette with a bunch of different types. I'm sure Fantasy will be introduced at one point if we don't find the right kind by then.
I still think the Zelda RPG will work though.

You guys talk like we have so many of them going on right now...There's only two. I RP a lot, and it is not unusual for me to be engaged in more than five of them at a time, often having multiple threads going in some of them [this isn't the only site I do it at, remember]. To be perfectly honest, I think you guys are making this out to be a lot harder than it actually is [and I know what I'm talking about. I've done it before].

There are two main RPs going on, but the One Piece RP is extremely complicated. There are four separate ongoing threads that all need a story and a director and a few members for commitment.
So in the end, it is more like 5 different RPs at once.
And as you can see, sometimes it takes a week or more for a single rotation of characters to post in a single thread. So yeah, more RPs are just going to slow things down, I think.
Unless, of course, it is a small RP with a definite ending. That would be easier to manage.

Yes, I realize that that was the reason for it, but to me, who does this stuff all the time it still doesn't look like all that much. It seems to me that what you guys are getting stuck on is that you guys think you don't have enough people to manage a load any larger than what you have now, but have you considered that you could just expand the amount of load the site can handle if you were to simply hire some more mods to run it?
Its basic economics that when a business finds that there is more demand than they have supply, that they simply expand the business so that they can meet the demand. I know that you might not think there is that much, but I will also remind you of something I've learned from experience. RPs are a very good way of attracting new members to a site, as they consistently give the members something entertaining to do compared to the more mundane parts of the site. People want to see sites that are willing to take the initiative and improve themselves, but if you're always too afraid to even try because you think you can't handle it, then you won't even get the chance.
That was why I wanted there to be a more substantial RP section here, and I'd like to clarify, I'm fully willing to help in any way [hell, I'd take a mod position if offered it]. To be honest, I've been getting kind of sick of Coloholics lately anyway, so being able to spend more of my time here is something I'd really want.
