Forum RPGs! They're cool and fun.
Seriously though, we would like to take advantage of a forum setting for an RPG. There are many different ways to host an RPG on a Forum; however, our system would be based purely on story, rather than based on statistics.
Is there any manga or anime would you like to see as an RPG? If so, please post here!
One Piece has been suggested as an RPG already; it is likely we will do that one.
Some RPG's would have to be played out differently than others. For example, if someone were to suggest a Soul Eater RPG, players would have the option of creating two characters, a weapon and meister. It would otherwise be difficult for the story to function since even the smallest of battles would rely on four people to post.
So, are there any RPG's you would like to play?

Maybe a Fallout RPG, with a goal like in Fallout 3 or New Vegas. I'm not sure

A Fallout 3 RPG would be incredibly cool. Since the game thrives on a customizable character already, it wouldn't be too hard to adapt to an RPG. It seems like the three of us know it fairly well so far too, so that's nice.

Holy God I remember why I love you guys so much. Not 10 seconds spent on the site for the first time, and already talk of a Fallout RPG.
Anyway well, if we do Fallout, then we have to do Elder Scrolls. Skyrim mebbe? Also I've always wanted to do a Bioshock RPG, and had ideas for a Roller Coaster Tycoon RPG.
In terms of anime/manga I couldn't say, although, in the down time when everyone sort of drifted away from OPHQ and MG, I've picked up on a few legitimate RPGs of the sort like Dungeons and Dragons. And not the RP style from MG, but the legit game. I know quite a few like that which we could play. Of course, it would be a large deviation from our usual RP forum-based style of play, given the need of things like mechanics and character sheets and maybe dice. I think it would be an interesting take on the way we play though, and an interesting challenge to tackle.

Hm, I wouldn't mind a Monster Hunter RP, there are so many monsters, weapon and armor types, and so many various chars, that it would be easy to build a scenario around that, maybe even make up monsters...
Maybe a revived and revised Pokémon RP?! ;D

I'm not too much into other Bethesda games, though I do play Skyrim, but a fallout RP sound amazing and if we have this many people who want to, I'm up for it.

Yeah, I think if we select the game, and get the pacing right we could do one really well. That's the reason I mention the other Bethesda games, because they're really open-ended, leaving a lot up to the player(s).
Although yeah I think a Fallout one would be cool, because to my knowledge we haven't yet done an RP that actually went anywhere, in a modern/post-modern setting with guns and the like.

I am really interested in a Fallout RP as I've said before. It might be easier to do than a Skyrim RP since it seems more of us have played it before. I was joking earlier with Hito that a Skyrim RP would be hilarious with seven or eight Dragonborns running around shouting everywhere. I'm sure if we did that though, it would be much more controlled.
If we were going to do a Fallout RP, I think we should consider Shark's suggestion of dice rolls and what not. Fallout is already based on statistics with the hit ratios and otherwise. We could do a mix of story based and mechanic based.
A Roller Coaster Tycoon RPG... would be amazing. I'm not even sure where we could begin with that but it would be so great.
We could do the Pokemon RP again, Kuroshi... er, Kaosu. It could be really fun. We could definitely consider it again if interest sparks again.

Yeah, but I, for one, know next to nothing about Fallout. Elder Scrolls I'm fine with...
Seven or eight Dragonborn? FUS RO DAHx8?! Well, the world would be screwed^^

I just had the crazy idea of mixing both of them. My goodness, my mind.
No, but seriously, we could always do both. It really depends on the interest.

If we do the Fallout 3 RP, I think we should set up our character the way they do ingame. We would play based on those stats. Meaning, if you don't have much strength, you can't carry much with you. Things like that. I do think it might be neat if we keep up with inventory, like how many bullets we have or stimpacks or whatnot.
Or we could just RP like we usually do, with a kind of accepted trust that everyone else knows what is within acceptance.
Storywise, I say Fallout 3. Maybe we all meet up just out of Megaton. That way, if someone wants to be a Vault escapee, or a random wanderer, or just someone who has always lived in Megaton, they can be without being restricted in any way.

On the note of Skyrim RP, I would like to imagine we ALL don't play Dragonborn, lol. I for one would rather not play a Dragonborn for example, I'm fine playing a commoner. I can totally sacrifice Words in favor of racial abilities. But that's just me, if everyone else wanted to be Dragonborn, I'm alright with sitting on a stump while you all go visit High Hrothgar, lol.
As for a Fallout RP in terms of immersion, it's not particularly difficult to get into for people who aren't familiar. For example, take the Fairy Tail RP. I didn't know anything about Fairy Tail and didn't even read it until we were about 2-3 story arcs in. I just played off of other people's knowledge and descriptions and it got me by.
As for the way we play it, I'm fine with any of the games, whether we start out in Megaton and aim for DC, or Goodsprings and aim for Vegas, whatever is fine by me. As for the way in-game is handled, I think Hito's way is the best, that we use the SPECIAL format for stats and just keep in mind whether the things we are doing would make sense depending on our SPECIAL skills. I would fathom to mention skills/perks as well, but that might get too complicated.
And of course if we did a Fallout game, we would HAVE to do it where you keep track of the weapons/items/ammo you have, in limited amounts. It's way more fun that way.

I agree the Fallout RPG would be perfect for this kind of gameplay. I think we all agree we're very likely to a Fallout RPG at this point. I'll set up the board for it later today (I've got to get doing stuff now) so don't be afraid to brainstorm ideas for characters, storylines, and otherwise.
I could maybe two or three Dragonborn maximum for a Skyrim RPG. I would gladly not play a Dragonborn anyway so it would be fine with me.
And yeah, I agree with Shark on not exactly knowing what Fallout 3 is all about. I was able to play the (failed) Final Fantasy RP fairly well without ever really understanding the source material. I'm sure any of us would be willing to help out if at one point someone did not understand what was going on.

SKYRIM RP WHERE ALL THE MAIN CHARACTERS COME FROM FALLOUT
On a serious note, then I suppose at this point it's just up to us to decide which game we play in.
