Why no one else like the New Vegas As for a legit system, I could totally do something. Let me see what books and stuff I have, and I'll get back to you guys. For certain I can do Pathfinder (a variant of DnD), GURPS, and World of Darkness. I have plenty more books than just that though. --- Well I meant more that, we would start the game as you normally would, just captured prisoners alongside the Stormcloaks. Once we manage to get to Whiterun though and fight the dragon, which is fairly early in the game if I'm not mistaken, then it would become apparent.

Honestly, I don't like RPG's with numbers and such, I much rather the way the RP system was in MG. BUUUT that died, so I'm cool with trying something new. Fallout RP sounds bad ass and if you decide on a game I don't know, i'll just read up and such.

We still looking for RP ideas or is everyone pretty much just set on Fallout (which I never played) and One Piece? Cos personally, I was a big fan of Rocks Fall, We All Die, and I would very much like to see some kind of survival horror RP happen someday...looking at crocoduck's profile pics, preferably one that was more creative about it than ZOMBIES EVERYWHERE OHMAHGAWD. Rocks Fall did survival horror right: we had no idea what was going on but we had to get through it somehow. I was saddened when it ended so abruptly.
I'm a bit busy now but given enough time I could probably think of something if there was any interest. Then again, we all know how my last attempt at running a RP went...(hint: not very well.)

That was largely my fault, I apologize.
As for your suggestion, I see people keep mentioning Rocks Fall and I presume it's something I missed, likely at OPHQ? Or was it something else?

It was on Mangaground. Betty was the leader of it before her mysterious disappearance.

Oh right, that one. I do remember it existing, but I never actually checked it out.
Well we're pretty open to ideas here, whatever you may be interested in running or playing, I'm sure other people will also agree.
Naturally we just did an OP RP, but then a Fallout one because Hito just suggested it. If there's something you have in mind, feel free to talk about it. We'll probably end up doing it.

Well like I said I'm stretched a little thin to get that creative. I have a lot of homework (that I've been procrastinating on here because I love you all) and a lot of it requires most of my creative energy pretty heavily.
This week alone I have to do 20 character sketches for vis dev. The requirements are strict enough that I'd be hard pressed to make it fit in with what I may *want* to do on the forums.
Also donnae worry about that last RP. It was my fault too, that I couldn't keep my players invested enough. I had plans but I started too slow.

Well most important thing of all; don't stress yourself. I don't think we're planning on going away anytime soon, so whether you want to do something now, in a month, or whenever is fine with us I'm pretty sure. Just that you're here and participating is already amazing.

Also Roller Coaster Tycoon the RPG.
Also other stuff too.

So we were just talking about this in the chat box but I said I was going to toast it SO I BLOODY WELL AM.
There has been some talk that a Baccano RP might be fun. For those of you who haven't watched it, or don't particularly like it (coughsharkcough), I thought that perhaps we could take out the Baccano ties and take the essence of the series and make something more original.
For some context, Baccano is a visual novel series and an anime set in early 1900's America (think the prohibition era, around 1920). Lots of waistcoats and trains, and most importantly, crime. The story itself revolves around various groups of criminals, many of whom have ties to a mafia/syndicate/gang with the secret to immortality. There's a lot more intrigue and confusion and achronological story telling, but that's about the gist of it.
So what if we took the basic bits and twisted them around? 1920's prohibition era, focus on crime syndicates, and a twist of the supernatural.
The idea itself is pretty open to suggestions and input since it's still pretty vague, so...
tl;dr: If we did this, would you want it to be our own thing or just slap Baccano on it and call it a day?
=== Also shark: tell me more of this shoe thing.

I'd be all for a Baccano!/1920's supernatural crime game. The question is how much we should implement the supernatural stuff, and what kind of supernatural material we'd be dealing with.

I would be inclined to play so long as I get me a Chicago typewriter.

That's mostly what I wanted input in. We could really have the "depth" of the supernatural aspect be anything from vaguely there at all (the folks aren't immortal but maybe still heal faster for the sake of epic combat, no big explanation for it) to full on "Cthulu Has Arisen, all hell breaks loose, vampires and ghosts and zombies and demons and werewolves and witches and magic and dragons and whatever the fuck else you want in it" levels.
I guess it really depends on what folks want. Personally I'd be OK with full on, no-holds-barred supernatural shit going down, but I think a more scaled back and subtle approach somewhere between the two extremes would fit a lot better...and be less prone to god moding, not that anyone does that here.
Also Shark, it is totally reasonable to have a typewriter. You could be the super cool reporter doing steamy exposes on the underbelly of the city or something.

I was thinking something along the lines of a straightforward crime story, but with a bit of a ghost story going on in the background, if that makes sense. Like, the supernatural elements affect the story, but the major drama still has to do with the mafia type business.
