OOC: Apologies for the shorter post. Good news though! My wrist problem is slowly coming figuring itself out! Yay!
Stacy looked away at Kalen's answer. She crossed her arms and let out a groan.
"You're just saying that to be nice because you know I'm one of them. You trying to trick me into trusting you. It pisses me off enough that Dark got me to go after you. I should have went for Kusu, not you."
She suddenly began to walk faster, trying to make it around a corner before Kalen could.
---
"Whoah! Cool!" Rizzo said, looking up as Jack jumped over him.
The announcer let out a "oof!" sound as he was hit by Jack's attack and was knocked straight to the ground. He looked up with contempt at the pirate.
"Your ship deserves third place! It's worse than a toaster oven!"
Even as the announcer was knocked to the ground, he didn't seem scared at all at Jack. He slapped his hand against the deck, making a rather odd sound like a void opening below them. The torso of his shadow leaped up from the ground, transforming into a reverse image of Jack. It was the exact attack he had done before.
"Five Card Stud!" a corrupted version of Jack's voice sounded as the shadow struck forward with an open palm.
---
After a successful and rather easy pull, the door swung ominously open toward Lizard. Upon jumping away, she would see a figure slowly put her fingers on the side of the door and peered out to look at Lizard. She stayed behind the door, so that only her head and fingers could be seen.
"Hi, weird human."
It was one of the people who Lizard had chased. She looked quite cutely at Lizard with big, expressive eyes.
---
"Hey!" it shouted after Mr. Dark. "Come back! I'm sorry but I can't let you go any further!"
The figure jumped into the air and a bright pink light suddenly flashed. There appeared to be a series of what looked like led lights underneath the figure's cloak. It reflected off of the sequin jacket the figure wore. It lashed out in a spinning back kick that was closer looking to a ballet move than any martial arts.
In the sudden light, Mr. Dark would see a very familiar sight. Whoever this person was, they had mastered Okama Kempo of all things. Unfortunately for the assailant, he had no idea that the man had encountered and countered this fighting style many times before.

"Hello. Don't call me human."
Lizard paused, letting the quiet awkwardness of the circumstances fall over both her and her prey, who seemed to be reaching out to her. After being suddenly confronted with the adorable figure, Lizard did not react at first, letting her hunter instincts fail her. In truth, she did not quite know what to do. Her presence by itself, and her seeming lack of fear, did not bother Lizard that much, and wouldn't have really stopped her, but she realized that there was not much of a plan for how to proceed should this particular situation come up. "Ensure they do not get away" was Mr. Dark's only instruction, and while this figure wasn't escaping, Lizard didn't feel like she was any closer to accomplishing what she had set out to do. No, it did not do to just stand there, she had a mission. All the while, her killing urge was slowly coming back up. She needed to save Kusu. That was all there was to it.
If she could kill, she knew exactly what she would do. Take the prey unaware (now impossible), overpower them, keep them from moving, and then a quick finishing blow to the neck. Even at this moment, she was fighting back her yearning to do just that, but there was no way that would be be allowed. But, as she was thinking, there was no reason for her to not take every step except for the last one. Yes. That would do.
With no indication she was about to strike, Lizard suddenly broke her stunned silence by springing at the figure, aiming to knock her off her feet. If successful, she would then struggle to pin down the prey's limbs, so that she couldn't fight back or get away. After that, Lizard had no plans, so she would simply stay there.
"We need our Captain," Lizard said, not changing her tone at all from when she first greeted the figure. "Give her back."
---
"So... guess winning the toaster's outta the question, huh?"
And just like that, before Timo could even do anything, the situation had gone completely out of control. It was almost refreshing in a sense. Now that actual chaos had unfolded, there was no reason at all to try and act normal. Not so bad an outcome, as she had already grown more than sick of being friendly.
She decided she would let Jack take care of the lion's share of fighting, with him being the real combatant in the situation. Not that Timo couldn't handle herself, but in terms of combat, she was not so adept, and already had her hands full with the man with the dagger. Why someone would rush at a woman armed with a tommygun while wielding only a knife, Timo didn't know, but she had seen his type all across the Grand Line before. So it seemed, the Fanclub was a gaggle of fools in more ways than one.
"Get down, Morgie!" Timo shouted, while aiming her gun. She didn't have much time at all to react, so her aim was not as precise as she would have liked it to be, but it was enough to fire a spray of shots in the general direction of her enemies legs. While she didn't want to kill anyone, not out of any sense of pacifism but just because she didn't want to draw the anger of the man's allies, she had no qualms at all about causing serious wounds.
---
As Stacy turned the corner, she would have found herself nearly colliding with a woman with dark black hair wearing the uniform of a low-ranking Marine. Her white clothing was stained with dirt and ash, showing signs of battle damage, though she herself appeared to be not wounded just yet. Clearly taken aback, having not expected to find anyone in such an obscure street while so much raged on elsewhere, the woman leapt backwards, bringing her rifle upwards. Her mind was racing, and, given the context, it would not be hard for Stacy to figure out exactly what the Marine was thinking.
"Commodore!" she called out, slightly panicked, "We got pirates back here!" She kept the rifle trained on Stacy, but did not fire just yet, as if she was waiting to see what the other woman would do first. Almost immediately, another voice, coming from a huge, muscular man just over a block away, responded.
"What? How?" the Commodore shouted back. "They're not supposed to be this far in!"
With all the haste that war required, the Commodore ran towards Stacy and the Marine woman, fists clenched and ready for action. He of course didn't really know what was going on, but as far as he could tell, Whitebeard's forces were coming in from the back streets of Marineford, and he intended to stop them. If either of them didn't do something quick, it was fully possible that he would follow through with this intention. Fortunately for them, he was coming from quite a ways away, so they had time to act.

"You don't trust me already? I trust you..."
Hurt wasn't the right word but Kalen felt defeated in a way, that the one person he was closest to in that moment, was drifting away. By his age and background he had a soft spot for women, and though he would have liked it if he and Sharp could be close, it wouldn't kill him if they weren't. But stuck here as they were in this strange situation, in a way they were literally the two closest people on the planet for the time being, if only because they were the only two people from another time altogether. He wasn't sure how or why Sharp interpreted his words, but for whatever reason she seemed to have taken a disliking to him. It was never his intent to string her along, since as far as he was concerned they would have to work together to get through this, but she believed what she wanted to and his guess was that she believed him to be a liar. Fate would probably love her.
Because of that he felt defeated, since he was stuck alone in this world with someone who would probably hate his guts because of something he said, and yet he had no choice but to remain with her. Maybe she realized that as well. Maybe that was why she was displeased. Not that he could dwell on the matter, trouble was just around the corner.
"Hello?! We're not pirates, we just live here."
He wasn't sure what was going on, but he saw a gun trained on Sharp and he acted. Lunging forward from the other side of the corner and so out of sight, it was his intent to grab the end of the barrel and move it in any other direction other than Sharp and keep it there. He didn't try to attack the lady marine or even break or take the gun from her, just remove the possibility of he or his reluctant partner from being shot. This also might have played into his excuse, since a pirate would have attacked, and they clearly were not pirates.
"Hey that's a good point, why did you just automatically assume that we're pirates?"

Jack's fighting style consists mostly of throws and wrestling, but his stance and strikes were similar to that of tiger-claw kung-fu, he never struck with a closed fist, and with good reason. As his palm connected with the announcer's chest his grip-grip fruit secured them to each other. He followed through as his opponent's body reeled back, pinning him to the ground, standing above him. As angry as he was his optimism still struggled to break through as his expression changed slightly to show he was just a little impressed with the little fan-club man. "Not many people are still conscious after a full on hit from that attack." He looked up as the shadowy doppelganger manifested above him, palm at the ready. It was his attack, he knew it well, knew when it would hit, and when it'd be too late to stop. With one arm he lifted the announcer's body from the deck and held it between him and the shadow's palm just as it thrust forward. "Bet you can't do it twice!"

Meanwhile, above the Red Ace, a figure flew toward Ticker Island. It was square in shape with cute stubby arms and legs. It seemed as though it used boosters in its limbs to fly around Its torso was six feet tall and six feet wide. It looked like an old school robot toy scaled up. Its square head had bright yellow eyes that flashed as it spoke with its static voice.
"Look, pika. Some of the Fan Club are fighting with some humans, pika."
"Is that so...? Huh..."
On top of the robotic figure's back was a man with long black hair. He looked young, barely out of his teens. The sleeves of his oversized sweatshirt hung over the sides of the robot he rode on.
"Looks like the humans are winning, pika."
"That's cool..."
The duo remained hovering a few stories up in the air, watching the scenes unfold below.
---
Jack's quick thinking won him the fight. The announcer was defeated by the very technique he tried to use against him. The man slumped down in Jack's grip, but his eye caught a square shadow that suddenly came over the ship before passing out.
"Heheheh... you haven't... won yet... they're here..."
Despite being free of the spell, Rizzo said nothing, too bewildered by the strange sight above them. He didn't revert back to his human form, perhaps out of fear.
---
Morgie squeaked and ducked down as the bullets flew over her porcelain head. The erratic spray of bullets blasted the remaining fan club member's legs. He yelled out in terrible pain.
"OW! That was a gun?! That was a human gun! I thought it was a toy! MY LEGS!"
In an attempt to flee, much like his friend before, the fan club member struggled to climb off the side of the ship, dragging himself and his bloody legs.
Despite the violence that had just occurred, Morgie stood straight up awkwardly on her porcelain legs and looked at the figures in the sky.
"Timo," she said worriedly as she pointed up. "It's Pika and Fufu..."
---
"Oh, you're human, alright. But what's in you isn't. It feels like someone attached a different shadow to you, but that's not right at all. Your shadow belongs to you... yet it doesn't."
As Lizard tackled the fan club member, she would discover that the girl wasn't very fearful at all of her. In fact, she laid under her as if nothing had happened and she had been there the entire day. She was a petite woman with stark black hair and expressive purple tinted irises. The black cloak about her fit her quite snugly. The hood on her head looked as though it blended straight into her hair.
She smiled smugly at Lizard and looked straight into her eyes. Her voice fell to a whisper as her eyes darted this way and that, possibly looking for something in the room with them.
"If... if I team up with you, pretend to capture you and all that, I can get you to your Captain. My people think she's really special, but she's not. Already I can tell they're going to be disappointed in her. You on the other hand. You're really interesting. I really, really want to study you. Could I please come with you?"
---
Stacy look glumly at Kalen when he voiced his confusion. She sighed and shook her head. How could she suddenly be that way toward him? For a moment, she forgot that Kalen wasn't like the others. He wouldn't stab her in the back if she turned away from him. How could she be so stupid?
She felt she couldn't apologize yet. Not just because of the new arrivals, but because she was far too stubborn to.
"Don't mix me in with pirate scum!" she barked at the Commodore and his lackey. "Pirate scum was what got me... us here in the first place."
It seemed that she was aiming for honesty no matter what. If Kalen didn't say something soon, Stacy might even say the exact reason they ended up there. Was that a safe bet?

The girl might have noticed a slight change in Lizard's expression, but only briefly. Just a twitch of her mouth, and a quick furrowing of her brows, and then back to the same hollow, neutral face she always wore like a mask. It was just a small motion, though, probably nothing, really. But the hunter did not like what the girl was saying about her. In truth, she didn't understand them in the slightest, to the point where the fanclub member could have just been babbling nonsense, but there was something about it that was bothering her. After a certain point, Lizard felt the urge to finish the hunt, if only so the stranger would stop talking, but she knew she couldn't do that, and so stopped herself. By the time the subject had changed, she forgot all about what was said.
"You're not making any sense, but you can come with me. Or, I don't think there's a reason you shouldn't. But maybe there is, and I don't know it. As long as you can help me get Kusu back, it should be fine. I think."
She saw no reason to think that the girl might not be telling the truth, or that her request would have an unfavorable outcome. All she could see was that her goal was now a bit closer to being accomplished, and that, at least, was good enough. Slowly, the hunter stood up, off of the girl. Once again, it seemed that violence was not the solution, and that everything would have happened exactly the same if Lizard had tried asking nicely. Her killer instincts were lying to her, or, if not that, only getting in her way. She didn't like that.
"I'm sorry I knocked you down."
Would things really be better if she never killed or hurt anyone at all? But then, what purpose would there be for Lizard? Was it wrong for her to exist after all? It wasn't a good or pleasant question, so she stopped thinking about it.
---
"You're damn right this baby's real, ya punk! And don't come back!"
Timo chuckled to herself as she lowered her tommygun, pleased with how easily she was able to fend off her attacker. For a bunch of invaders, the fanclub really didn't seem like it was prepared for real combat, which made the smuggler wonder what they were thinking at all. Either way, she wasn't fighting for the moment, nor was she participating in a game show, and Jack seemed to be handling his own battle easily enough on his own, so, if only for that second, all was right in the world. It was just too bad, that the second seemed to be over as quickly as it had begun.
When Morgie pointed out the two new figures, who she seemed to recognize, Timo craned her neck upwards, stared at Pika and Fufu, looked back down, removed her shades, wiped them on a corner of her shirt, put the shades back on, and looked upwards again. Unfortunately, it seemed that she wasn't just hallucinating, because somehow, Timo had done something at some point to earn herself bad luck forever. It wasn't all that surprising to the smuggler.
"Uh, you know these cats, Morgie? And, uh... they're people? Should we be worried right now?"
As strange as the two skybound figures were, Timo was not above taking any of her usual necessary means, in order to shoot them down. She was hoping it wouldn't come to that, though, if only because she wasn't entirely clear on if shooting them would really do anything. Maybe Jack would be able to come up with a better solution.
---
Kalen's sudden action of grabbing the gun barrel and pushing it away was enough to startle the female Marine, who wasn't, at the moment, focusing on him, an caused her to inadvertently pull the trigger. Thankfully, since the gun wasn't pointed at anything at the moment, no harm would have been caused, and now she was without a means of killing anyone, for the moment. Commodore Ohyeah, on the other hand, was still very free, and stepped forward, hoping to force his way into the center of the fray, to keep his subordinate from getting hurt. Behind him, a small band of Marines, or rather, the still standing members of Ohyeah's unit, hand drawn their weapons and stood by in case they were needed. In reality, however, none of them expected their Commodore to have the slightest trouble in dealing with only two pirates, who they didn't so much as recognize, so they merely stood by.
This was a bad situation for the Commodore to be in. After his group suffered tremendous damage from the pirate assault, and while reinforcements were lagging behind, advancing against the enemy became less important to him than just holding out, especially after a certain event that, put simply, did not go as planned. As such, he had originally planned to secure the back streets as a sort of safe passage for the medical team to carry the wounded, but now, as it seemed, that was no longer possible. In fact, if Whitebeard's forces had managed to work their way into the inner streets, when the pirates were supposed to still be contained to the ice, then the situation had become far worse than he, or even the Admirals, had prepared for. In the absolute worse case, a sneak attack from behind might have been the plan all along, in which case Ohyeah could only be thankful he found out in time. But, no matter what was going on, he was not a strategist, he was only a fighter, with the orders to crush any pirate threat on sight. Pulling back his fist, he was prepared to get a strike in before either of them could, when suddenly both of them claimed they weren't pirates. Ohyeah was not expecting that.
Realizing his mistake, the Commodore stopped in his tracks, which was not so simple an action when he had so much momentum coming in. As good as he was at punching things, he was considerably worse at not punching. With all his strength, he skid across the pavement, kept on going, only to come to a full stop just in time to accidentally collide with the lady Marine and knock her down with a surprised yell.
"R-really? You aren't pirates? Then what the hay are you doing in a place like this?"
As far as he was aware, the only people present should have been Marines and pirates, with everyone else being evacuated. These two certainly weren't on the side of the Marines, and if they weren't pirates, then he couldn't imagine why they would bother to show up. He knew that there were a small amount of Revolutionaries present that had come in when "Straw Hat" Luffy and the others had fallen from the sky, but neither of them looked like they were part of that bunch, nor were they prisoners from Impel Down. So now, on top of a war to win, there was a mystery to solve. How perplexed he was.
"You can't seriously believe that," said the lady Marine, as she hoisted herself back to her feet. "Ohyeah, that's exactly what a pirate would say in this situation."
The woman was visibly distraught, partially due to having been floored by her own commanding officer in front of the enemy, but also because she knew that trying to convince him otherwise would get her nowhere. If Whitebeard himself had strode up to them and claimed to be a harmless bystander, there was a very good chance that Ohyeah would believe him and let him go. As it was, it seemed the Commodore was taken in by the story, if only for the moment.
"It's fine, Winona. See? They mean no harm."
In better circumstances, Winona might have groaned or shown some other sign of annoyance and frustration, but Marineford was decidedly not the place for such things, so she made an attempt to stay cool and rational. Something that was hard to do when the highest authority in the immediate radius so blatantly wasn't.
"Commodore, we can't afford to be so trusting."
"It's too dangerous for you to stay here," Ohyeah said to Kalen and Stacy, ignoring Winona. "You should get out, as soon as you can. Do you have some means of evacuating?"
At the moment, the most likely answer he could come up with was that they were a pair of overeager journalists who had gotten way too close to the fray. Even if that wasn't true, however, it seemed that he was genuinely concerned about their well-being. Winona, meanwhile, being unable to contradict Ohyeah, could only glower at the pair, and quietly reload her rifle in case something suspicious should happen.

Kalen had a devious idea. A wonderful, terrible, devious idea. Partly it was motivated out of a genuine interest in avoiding further confusion with any marines like what just happened, but mostly it was motivated to make Winona's life more miserable for making their lives more difficult.
"We do have a means of evacuating, yes... but Sir, if we are to reach our destination we can't afford to keep being stopped or confused for pirates. Given the conflict, I wouldn't ask you to escort a couple of civilians to safety, but if we could be given some form of clearance affording us safe passage..."
He talked in a placatory manner, in an attempt to portray a genuine appreciation to the Commodore for his assistance. Rubbing his chin, he looked around till his gaze settled on the one that tried to shoot them.
"If we could get a couple of uniforms though, I'm certain we could make our way to safety without worry. We don't have much time though, so it'd have to be quick. If we could get yours and hers..." he gestured to Ohyeah and Winona in a painfully nonchalant way, "...then you'll have saved the lives of two thankful civilians from the clutches of those villainous pirates. It's alright if they don't fit so well, we only need them for a short while."
To further assist his request, Kalen brought his hands together in a standing bow, as was customary for some people in these parts of the world.

The object above him did not escape Jack's notice but for the moment he kept his focus on the Bruised club member he held off the ground. " Guess we'll see, but YOU've certainly lost." He tossed the man's body several feet sending him sailing over the railing and over the side of the ship. He smiled, content at least for the moment, in having removed all the trespassers from his ship. He turned around to see everyone else aboard intently focused on the thing above him and finally looked up to see what it was, Lowering his sunglasses to his eyes as he did. "...Hmm! Well that's just a strange sight to see!" Half-rat or not, He could see the fear on Rizo's face. "Don't lose your cool yet kid. Let's see what game they're playing before we bet." Jack stuck his hands to the mast and scaled up the side of it quite quickly, climbing into the crows nest. He was ready for a fight if they wanted one but they still had Ron's situation to deal with, so if talking this out would be faster, he was all for it. "Hi."

"Pika and Fufu are really, really scary," Morgie responded simply to Timo. Even with her expressionless, painted-on face, it was clear she was scared. She shook where she stood, looking up at the two.
Meanwhile, Rizzo reverted back to his human form and nodded nervously at Jack. So far, putting his trust in the captain served him well, but would they fair well against whatever these people were?
Without warning, the two figures suddenly dropped out of the sky. The larger of the two nearly slammed into the deck of the Red Ace before activating what appeared to be thrusters on its feet for a softer landing. To the likely horror of Jack, the thrusters burned part of the exterior of the deck.
The seven foot tall robot looked much like a toy. Its design was incredibly unimpressive and looked like a bootleg version of a typical robot design. Its large, circular yellow eyes glowed.
"Congratulations, you won, pika," it said in a monotone voice, holding its square arms out. "What wonderful pieces of meat to meet. I am the Pika Pika 12000. This is my companion, Fusao, pika."
"No, it's just Fusao," a slow voice responded.
"Yes, Fusao, pika."
With a long sigh, a tired looking man appeared over the robot's shoulder, hanging onto its robot's back. He dressed in extremely long sleeves and clothes that looked far too big for him. Fusao sighed again and looked sleepily at the others.
"The Pika Pika 12000 and I are supposed to destroy any humans that interfere with our plan, but we like you... I guess..."
"Beep boop, pika," Pika continued right after Fusao. "Would you be interested in joining our cause, for the emotion of pride and happiness, pika? I do not know how Princess Morgana escaped her throne room, but you can help us bring her back, pika."
"No!" Morgie squeaked and attempted to hide behind Timo.
---
Stacy didn't seem to lighten up at all in this new situation. It was very apparent that she didn't respect Ohyeah or Winona. Her arms remained firmly crossed and she kept her back to them for the majority of the time. She tapped her shoes against the pavement and sighed to herself.
"Ugh," she said with a scowl. "Are you suggesting we get into those disgusting uniforms? I hope this plan of yours is a solid one. But do you really think these two are going to ignore their sense of justice to lend us a few uniforms? Even if they trusted us, I don't think they'd do such a thing."
She sighed again in an annoyed huff.
---
"No problem, weird not human person! My name is Rito. I hope we can get along... as much as someone like you can."
With a snap of her fingers, a dark substance wrapped itself around Lizard's wrists. She would notice that it was translucent, like a shadow, and that she could easy move her wrists through it. It would always return to its normal shape, though not threateningly. Lizard might recognize that the shadow looked like handcuffs.
Following Rito, Lizard would find that the door lead to a long tunnel of concrete. It looked to be some kind of advanced underground system with many doors and hallways. On the doors and posts throughout the place was some kind of strange language that Lizard, nor the person who previously inhabited her body, would have likely seen.
Eventually, the two came to a door that buzzed with frantic conversation behind it. Upon Rito opening it, Lizard would find a strange laboratory crammed inside of a 500 foot space. Bottles, flasks and strange tools filled the walls and tables. Two figures stood in the only open space of the room.
Kusu and her sword were still bound in the seastone rope. The small captain furiously squeaked, though she was muffled by the makeshift gag of cloth around her face. The sword stuck to her side was motionless. Standing over the two were two other figures. Lizard might have recognized one of them as one of the men who had taken Kusu. The other was a newcomer, a woman who had stark blond hair and a lab coat that was far too big for her.
"We can't study her abilities if she's stuck up in this sea stone," the woman continued in their conversation.
"I get ya, boss. But that seastone's the only thing keeping that demon sword in check. Apparently all of the shadow clan that can steal Devil Fruit abilities are currently searching for Princess Morgana. We have no one here who can stop the sword!"
"Morgana, that brat," the woman snarled. "I can't wait to be rid of her. If she wasn't the darling of the host of the Shadow Clan, I'd smash her porcelain face in myself."
The larger man grimaced at this, but didn't seem to dwell on it. Suddenly, he noticed Lizard and Rito were there with him.
"Hey, Rito. What took you so long? Who is this?"
"I captured another prisoner!" Rito exclaimed in glee.
"Wow! Cool!"
"Yes, I am cool."
"Yay! Hail, Mr. Dark!"
The three held their hands up in the air and kept them there, as though they were stuck in permanent celebration.

Lizard backed up and snarled when the substance wrapped around her wrists, as though she was trying to scare it away from her. At first she tried to shake it off, but after seeing that she could move through it, and more importantly that it wasn't harming her, she allowed it to remain on her wrists, for the moment. It took her a moment to figure out what was going on, but once she did, she calmed down.
So, as it turned out, she would have to pretend to be captured. As they walked through the tunnel, Lizard tried to think about what that meant. Obviously, she wasn't really imprisoned. She wouldn't have been taken prisoner to begin with. But she had to seem like she was, and act like she was the kind of person who could be captured. It must be hard to become another person, she thought. She could barely figure out who she was herself, before this new identity had to be resumed. She didn't like it, in fact, she hated lying. So for the moment, she just acted like herself, with handcuffs on. Surely, her enemies would just see those and never once imagine that she was free, right? Anyways, it was good enough for the moment.
As she came into the open room, she looked around, assessing the situation. The first thing she did was locate Kusu, who was, fortunately, still alive. The captain was tied up, which was troubling, but she could easily be carried out. That is, if it wasn't for the man and woman who were also in the room. Lizard didn't know them, but thought that they probably wouldn't like it very much if she tried to run off with Kusu, and might even try to stop them. Of course, Lizard wanted to just kill them, but absolutely couldn't do so with the captain still in the room, and even if she didn't have that limit on her, she couldn't kill her captors and also be a prisoner at the same time. It just wasn't realistic.
Still, on the spot like she was, she felt compelled to say something, she just wasn't sure what. She was convinced though, that if she wasn't playing the part, then her true identity would be revealed, and she couldn't have that. Her ruse had to be flawless.
"Hello," she said. "My name is Prisoner." She turned to Rito, with a look that might have suggested a child begging an adult for help, if her expression had changed at all. "Was that right?"
---
Once again, Morgie was hiding behind Timo, and once again, Timo stood firm, in order to protect the little doll girl. If it wasn't for that instinct, the smuggler probably would have immediately started backing away from the second the robot landed on the deck. Neither of the two looked particularly scary to her, but then again, she didn't know too many people who could fly, and they seemed confident at least, so for the moment she elected to ignore the fact that she was just called a piece of meat, and deal with them diplomatically. If either of them could listen to reason. If they didn't, she would probably have to shoot them.
"Listen, Daddy-O, I appreciate the invitation, I really do," she said, in a tone that seemed firm, but at the same time nonthreatening, "But I seem to have run outta all my pride and happiness. You'll have to ask someone else." Pausing to take a drag from her cigarette, she looked to Jack, wondering how he would react. "If Morgie's your princess, shouldn't you cats be obeying her every wish, or somethin' or other? Seems clear to me that she don't wanna go back. Maybe you should focus your audio there, pika."
It did seem strange to her, that despite supposedly being the Princess of whatever shady group was attacking them, Morgie seemed more afraid of her subjects than anything else. Were they really looking out for her own good? The more she examined the situation, the less likely that seemed.

"No, of course we wouldn't," Ohyeah said definitively, crossing his arms and looking down at the two. "There's no way I'm considering that."
"Naturally, Commodore," Winona chimed in, happy that it seemed like finally her commanding officer was catching onto what was clearly, in her mind, part of a dastardly plot. "If you think such a blatant ruse would work on us Marines, then you really are..."
"There's no way that my uniform would fit you. You're too small."
If either Kalen or Stacy looked at Winona at that moment, they would be looking square into the face of disillusionment and despair.
"You mean... wh... I don't..."
"Besides, it's not like we can remove our uniforms while there's still a war to be fought, I bet you can understand that much." Thinking as hard as he possibly could, the Commodore rested his chin on his fist, fairly confident that this was the only time, ever, in his career, that he would ever be faced with a question so tricky. "Tell you what. I think I can clear a path for you myself, if we move fast enough. Just point me in whatever direction you need to go."
"But Ohyeah, what about the orders we were already given? By people who aren't pirates?"
"I said that I can clear a path for these two. You and the boys can do the rest, right?"
Winona shrugged, caught between doing what she thought was right, and wanting to show off her commanding ability on the battlefield. In the end, Ohyeah's orders won out. "Aye-aye, sir," she mumbled.
"Good. Now let's move quickly. We have wounded soldiers to save and pirates to fend off. But, protecting civilians comes first. Let's go!"

Jack looked a little annoyed when they dropped to the deck just as he came up to them, but he just turned around and headed back down. He half-gripped the mast with one hand and slowly slid down the side of it. "Not if they have orders from higher up" he said, addressing Timo's question. "A 10's a good card but a king or queen still beat it." He reached the deck and took a step towards the two odd men. "...Hi" He said, a little more sarcastically this time. "It's not a bad offer but this cause of yours has caused us nothing but trouble and left us with nothing but questions. So why don't you tell me... what's your game stranger? What is this cause of yours and just who is it that's outranking our little china girl here?"

"Well don't worry too much about the uniforms, it looks like that plan is a wash anyway." he answered to Sharp, though he still kept his focus on the marines in case they did or tried anything he didn't agree with. Particularly the one who kept ruining his chance at a decent prank.
"A direction? Oh yeah, if you could get us to the big castle I think we could make it from there. We got a little lost while evacuating, but we'd be able to judge our position from there and make a path away from the battle. You don't even have to get us inside, just close to the base would be good."
It didn't take long for him to answer, since he didn't put very much thought into it. Since the marines wouldn't help in the way he'd hoped, he simply tried to make due with what they had. In that case, they had a clear shot of following Ohyeah to some designated location. As far as he knew, the most likely place the past Uzo would be, was at the giant castle he could make out in the distance. If he wasn't there, well then at least they could use the castle as a vantage point to look out over the island and better determine where Uzo might be.
"That sound good, Katherine? I'll go along with whatever you think is best."
