Non-spoiler review ahoy!!!
See it. See it immediately, though I'd recommend seeing a late showing. My theater was full of kids, which made it hard to understand some of the dialogue at the beginning until they all settled down. I also saw it in 2-D, because I get really sick with 3-D movies.
It's hard to explain why it's good without spoiling the entire thing. The one thing I will say is that it's a social commentary on several intensive subjects, which surprised me given its market demographic. It wasn't afraid to pull punches with some darker elements of the story, which frankly delighted me. I feel like kids aren't treated fairly in most children's movies in themes and storytelling. The LEGO Movie certainly has the appropriate punches without hitting too hard.
One thing I have to say is that Batman has never been better. This is the best Batman we've seen in film. I'm not even joking when I say that. Sure, he's not the serious type, but this is the kind of Batman we've all grown to love. Every scene with him is perfect. I noticed the Batman jokes only got the adults laughing. I didn't hear very many kids laugh but they seemed to enjoy it pretty well.
SPOILERS, AHOY!
9.5/10. Would forever recommend.

The revelation of Lord Business as a real human person was astounding. It becomes extremely apparent in retrospect that the heroes were a metaphor for the kid, Emmett was the bond between the human father and son, and Lord Business was obviously the father. Emmett starts as a by the rules guy, manipulated by Lord Business, much like the kid was restricted from being creative from his father. The heroes change him and test Emmett's limits, leading Emmett to reconcile the heroes with Lord Business. Emmett is the middle ground between following the rules and absolute creativity. I was really impressed.
Thinky thoughty metaphors aside. The ending was absolutely brilliant. I grew up with younger sisters and having to play with them was sometimes a drag. Having the Duplex figures come in and boldly announce their take-over was so freaking funny. It's a good lesson for kids. If you want familial connection, you have to involve all members of the family, even the baby sisters.
