www.mangareader.net/kuro-kurokumangafox.me/manga/kuro_kuroku/Yusa Chiaki is a ordinary high-school student, whose motto is simplicity and frugality. Her favorite character is Uesugi Youzan. One day while going to search for a part time job she gets chased by kappas and a mysterious man rescues her. What will happen to her now?

Chapter 1? Not bad.
I really really really like the main character so far. It's nice to see a sister relationship in manga. You don't get those a lot. Unfortunately, with most of these series, we'll likely see Yusa pushed away as Kuroku will inevitably make it to the forefront. I hope they can maintain an InuYasha/Kagome bond where both get equal, worthy screen time.
I particularly like the setup and the explanation of a lot of details before they became important. For instance, the young Kappa removing her hat at the end would have not meant as much if we weren't told how important that was earlier on.
I'm really excited to see where this series goes. Hopefully it gets the attention it deserves.

I thought it was okay. It could have been a lot better, though. I thought up some ideas on the spot.
For example, the reason the Yokai and the regular people rarely see each other is because in ancient times, a special group of humans set up a pact with the Yokai so that they'd never come in direct contact. If a Yokai had a problem, they'd go see a member of this special group.
After a few thousand years go by, the same process is still going on, though now the special group has changed into a desk job at City Hall.
However, there's a catch. The reason children run this job is because it is only children who can actually see the Yokai. They're the only ones who can interact with the monsters. Once you become an adult, you lose memory of them and you can no longer see them, as if they were just fairy tales.
This could lead to some interesting things in the future, like one of the characters slowly losing their ability to see the Yokai.
And so, this manga would be about that group of people, group of children, and they're troubles keeping the Yokai private and hidden, while the Yokai slowly change and wish again to take over the world.

This series is okay. Dunno really what to think just yet. I'm not even sure what genre this is supposed to be.

looks like an action comedy to me.
I mean they could do all sorts of stuff.
Crazy world conquering yokai or daily domestic disputes between yokai living in the hall or just every day nuisances like chapter 2.
this manga can go in any direction it wants.
