so after skipping last season I'm back for the spring anime. rather than try to watch everything like i usually do and always end up failing I'm limiting what i will watch down to 15. so far I've watched episodes 1 - 3 of Suisei no Gargantia, Dat A Live and Hataraku Maou-Sama! My favourite through personal taste us Hataraku Maou-Sama, how can u not love a show where the devil is trapped on earth loses his magic and winds up working at a fast food restaurant, really funny. Date A Live is your typical magical girl appears out of nowhere except this time when she does she causes giant explosions that kill peopel and there's a task force of battle girls out to kill her unless the hero cans educe her lol. But the one I think most people will like is Suisei no Gargantia. Don't wanna spoil anything folks so just give the first 2/3 episodes a watch.

Shingeki no Kyojin is the only show I've been following this season. It's good, but it's too early for me to make a definite recommendation. Really great sense of scale, though, and everything is drawn so beautifully. It does a great job at instilling a feeling of both fear and awe, and it has the potential to lead into great things.
As for the other shows of the season? I'm just gonna wait and see if any of them are still notable by the year's end before I spend time watching them. I prefer to marathon things anyways.

Time for an update!
Shingeki no Kyojin is on my list to watch but the whole giants eating people has me rather squeamish which is weird cause a few years ago that wouldn't have bothered me.
watched the episode 4's of Suisei no Gargantia, Date a Live and Hataraku Maou-sama! and new shows iw atched first 4 eps of Arata Kangatari and the first 3 of both Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S and Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko.
Suisei no Gargantia is great. Ledo is a part of humanity who abandoned Earth during an ice age and the humans that fled earth have since confine dit to history and it has become a sort of legend. The humans we've seen spend most of their tiem fighting this giant alien threat while they have a colony called Avalon we havnt seen much of it but an outer glimps but Ledo doensts eem to have spent much time on the colony. anyway he crashes on Earth which has been flooded due to all the ice melting and humanity survive son large ships salvaging tech from the ocean while fending of pirates. So now how will Ledo has to learn how to survive on Earth. Really good show.
Date A Live had a good outing, the new spirit girl appears to talk through ventriloquism and you don;t wanna take her puppet away or bad things will happen.
Hataraku was great, shows us Emi's past and how the influence of Maou affected her and her life in the magic world and now her struggle to cope with his new attitude on earth.
and now for the new shows
Railgun of course is absolutely brilliant but then I already knew that since I read the manga. Misaka must discover if her DNA has been misused in secret genetic experiments, what will she discover? go watch this awesome show and find out!
Arata Kangatari is from shonen sunday and is 23 volumes long so to see it only have 12 episodes is kinda disappointing since Magi got over 20. dunno how the anime has paced the manga but so far the anime is pretty enjoyable. Regular guy from earth gets sucked into a magical world and gets a unique weapon to help him fight of the villains who have framed his counterpart for murder, his counterpart is now stuck on earth but we havnt seen much of that. I like it. plan to read the manga when the anime is done so that my overall enjoyment of the anime isn't effected.
and finally Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko. This was a lot better than I expected, Daily life comedy show revolving around a perverted guy who hides behind his "facade" and then he loses his "facade" to a magical cat Statue who give sit to someone else so now he must track it down while avoiding getting into trouble now his perverted nature is revealed. There's also a girl who loses her emotions and they must now track down her emotions and get them back.
Overall I'm enjoying this season hope my final 9 are as good as these 6.
Recommendations for the the casual anime watcher who likes action, adventure, sci-fi are Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S, Arata Kangatari and Suiesei no gargantia.
you probably have to be a fan of the romantic/comedy/harem genre in particular to enjoy the other 3.

New update time!!!
I’m up to Episode 7 on Hataraku Maou-sama and Date A Live Episode 6 on Suisei no Gargantia, Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S, Arata Kangatari and Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko.
And the 3 new shows I watched were Episodes 1 – 7 of Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge, Episodes 1 – 6 of Kakumeiki Valvrave and Episodes 1 – 6 of Mushibugyo
Hataraku Maou-sama: I freaking love this show. Maou and Emi battle Lucifer in episode 5 which is great and 6 is a good comedy episode where the group try to find a haunted classroom that may allow them to repower their magic so they can return home. Episode 7 is a casual slice of life episode which is hilarious then a new villain pops up at the end.
Date A Live: Ep 5 wraps up Yoshino’s story which was a decent 2 parter and ep.6 is just a funny episode where misunderstandings cause a great battle. Episode 7 though takes a twist I never saw coming, an actual serious antagonist.
Suisei no Gargantia: Eps 5 and 6 continue to show how Ledo tries to live and interact with humanity as he looks for work and tries to understand money. Judging by the end of 6 looks like a romance might be there between Ledo and Amy. Just something about this show that I cant figure out that makes me just enjoy every episode so far but the one of the show makers is known for his insane twists so kinda hopin he doesn’t ruin the feel of the show with a twist.
Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S: Misaka meets the sisters and learns about the experiments then faces the ruthless Accelerator. This show is epic and you should all be watching it.
Arata Kangatari: Ep 5 starts a new arc which starts Arata’s journey to reach the capital, just a standard set up episode. Episode 6 brings up the new antagonist and is the episode which confirms Arata’s resolve to basically save the world.
Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko: Yokodera makes a new sacrifice while trying to help Tsukiko reconnect with her sister and in episode 5 Yokodera’s house is mysteriously gone and he must spend the night at Tsukiko’s house. Hope it has a good explanation to how a whole house just disappears. Episode 6 brings a second cat statue which is far more powerful and the wish at the end is a holy crap moment.
Dansai Bunri Crime Edge: Episode 1 was a little weird but this show is Great. The curse of the killing goods can only be stopped by killing the queen who’s hair always grows and cannot be cut, our hero is the owner of a pair of scissors which are killing goods and are the only item that can cut the queens hair, if he cant cut her hair the curse will cause him to descend into madness and go on a killing spree because cutting her hair is a substitute for cutting/killing people, meanwhile every other killing good owner is out to kill the queen because if they succeed they will get a single wish granted.
Kakumeiki Valvrave: I like this even if it is another wars in Space between colonies using giant mecha. Show has a few cool twists that were rather surprising.
Mushibugyo: Another from Shonen Sunday but this one has 26 episodes like Magi despite Arata Kangatari having more volumes. Animators make no sense. Anyway the show is set in Edo Japan and focuses on a Samurai named Jinbei as he joins an organisation set up to defeat giant insects that kill people. Simply put this show is awesome.
