Hyrule Castle: The home of Hyrule's royal family. It is especially well guarded by some of the Hylian knights and resides next to Hyrule Castle Town, which serves as the market place for thousands of Hylian citizens. It is a vast city with many of the high-class Hylians residing in it. Hyrule Field: A central location of the Hyrule Kingdom. It leads toward all of the villages and marketplaces of Hyrule and is the site of many historic happenings. It is also treacherous and filled with pickpockets and highway men that commit a large number of crimes. This is why most caravans are placed under Hylian Guard. Kakariko Village: A gigantic village that is second only to Hyrule Castle Town. Said to have been found by the Sheikah, it was once exclusively for their race, until Impa herself opened it up to the majority of people in Hyrule. The graveyard is known as the resting place for many Hylian and Zoran royal families. Lake Hylia: The largest body of water in Hyrule that is home to many of the Zora race. It has seen many historic battles, and is the central food source for a large number of the surrounding areas. Kokiri Forest: Home of the Kokiri and their sacred Deku tree. It is a very dangerous forest with a large number of plantlife and creatures that will gladly eat whatever crosses their path. Very few are allowed to enter the Kokiri's sacred ground, and they will fight you if you attempt to force yourself into their homeland. Gerudo's Valley: Home of the traveling Gerudo race and several of their tribes. Above the Zora River lies a bridge that accesses the Gerudo Fortress. It is heavily guarded at all times, and very few are authorized to enter it, especially those of a different race, and especially men. Death Mountain: Home to the proud Goron City. It is a volcano with acres upon acres of dangerous, loose rocks, it is especially hard to climb, even for experienced rock-climbers. While the Gorons do reside there, there are also several caves and inclines for thieves and unscrupulous sorts to hide. The mountain also gives home to several dark, and evil creatures that lurk among the rocks to ambush unsuspecting victims. It is illegal for any Hylian Citizen to venture these mountains without the Hylian Royal Family's permission. Zora River: The longest river in the land, and central residence for the Zoran people. It starts from the east and flows to the west until it empties into Lake Hylia. Zora's domain is home to the higher class of the Zoran race, including the royal family.

Kokiri: A secretive, child-like race native to the Kokiri forest. They are guarded by their sacred Deku tree which lies in their heavily guarded city. They usually are not seen away from their home town, as Kokiri Forest is treacherous, but there has been known to be a few brave ones from time to time. Hylian: An elf-like race that is considered to be somewhat human, but is also the dominant race in Hyrule. There are many notable, legendary Hylians, most famous of them is Link, who has saved Hyrule and the Princess Zelda from the evil Ganondorf many times. They are known to be very natural magic-users and are known to be the most civilized race. Goron: A race of humanoid creatures that eat rocks and live in mountains. Though they are great in size and strength, they are also peaceful. While they do not possess great common sense, they do seem to have a good amount of intelligence when it comes to industry and production. Gerudo: A race completely populated by women. They keep to themselves more often than not, however in order to procreate, they must rely on males from other races (notably the Hylians). They are known to be a gypsy race, usually relying on thievery to suit their needs. Every hundred years, it is said that a male is born into their race, unfortunately for this century, that male was Ganondorf. They keep to themselves, and usually despise doing any sort of business with males. Sheikah: Known as the Shadow folk of Hyrule. They are a warrior race that swore their allegiance to protecting their homeland and the royal family. However, during the Hyrulean Civil War, they are all but extinct. Now they exist solely in thin bloodlines and half-breeds. Zora: Also known as Sea Zoras, these creatures are usually found in very large bodies of water. Though they thrive in the water, they can also exist on dry land. They are also able to live and thrive in both salt water and fresh water. Humans: Though plentiful, humans are not as dominant over the land as Hylians are. For the most part, there is not a great deal of racism between them, but there is always the exceptions among each individual of the race. Sometimes humans can resent the Hylians for acting so snooty, high, and mighty over them. But as said before, they live in harmony for the most part. Goblins: Goblinkin are known to be especially brutal and harsh in this world. They are large, dog-like creatures that have the ferocity of orcs and the strength to back it up. They are usually known to be mercenaries warriors, and thieves that attack travelers that have the misfortune of happening upon them.

Full Name: Lesper D. Harlek
Other Name(s): N/A
Age: 16
Gender:Male
Race: Hylian
Occupation: Adept Necromancer
Appearance: Is rather small for his age at only 5’ and averaging 110 pounds, though is he not built, he is moderately toned for a Hylian of his age. He has sky blue eyes and reddish blonde hair that comes down to the middle of his neck. Many have told him time and time again that he looks much younger than he actually is. Many have guessed his age to be 15 or even so far as 14 years old. His ears are pointed like normal and his skin is pale, though not horridly so.
While he never liked the lack of color in black, he wears the customary black robe of a Necromancer when he is on official business. Beyond that, he wears a dull brown cloth shirt with wooden toggles. With the shirt he wears a dark reddish brown leather part of pants that are loose fitting and easy to move around in. When he is trying to be formal, he wears a white long-sleeve shirt with a red trim and a pair of khaki-colored pants that are also loose-fitting.
As a Necromancer, he is innately cursed with the vibe of death. Those who are familiar with the feeling will not notice it so much, but to the commoner, the vibe is quite disheartening. He also shows a casual emotion toward those who are dead. In fact the nonchalant approach he has to the dead is almost frightening to those who are fearful of such things. When what he is thinking when near the dead, he will answer "I am mortified."
Personality: Lesper is constantly conflicted with his outgoing origins, and then his forcibly taught introvert nature. He is always wondering if what he is going to say will be unpleasant in any way, and is continuously wondering if he should bite his tongue. If it is on a subject that he knows quite a bit about, he can talk a good amount, but he is mostly silent when he knows the subject does not pertain to him. He is not trusting of many, but when he is with someone that has earned his trust; he seldom holds back his thoughts.
He is shy around women, especially those who are open and show an early kinship with him. If he is in his hood he will tuck his chin and mouth under it and pull it over his head, usually to hide a bashful smile from them. Though he believes in chivalry, he chooses his battles very carefully; he chooses pacifism over aggression, but when there is no other way around it, he is known to not hold back his full extent of violent behavior.
Weapons: Black Bone Wand – Enhances Lesper’s ability. Was once the wand of his master Necromancer, Eloctum. It is seven inches long, and made of a full-blooded Sheikah’s femur. After its enchantment, it was given a pitch black color.
Skull Dagger – It has the normal stabbing effect on a regular living creature. The blade and hilt both are an old Crimsonine metal, curved to a point, nigh indestructible and immensely sharp. It’s a red luster with a skull carved at the base of the hilt.
Equipment:
Nerzeil's Skull - The cranial bone of Lesper's best friend. It is used as the key item of his skeletal summoning. However, the skeleton does not come out as Nerzeil, for some reason it seems to only summon one particular skeleton every single time. The skeleton’s name is Emia, and she is constantly bothering Lesper and causing discomfort with physical advances. Lesper cannot explain why she is summoned from every set of bones he enchants, though she is stronger than she looks, and is quite skilled with a sword. She remains active for one full hour, but if anything were to happen to the skull during battle (i.e. large piece chipped off, decapitation), or if the skeletal body were to lose two or more limbs, her spell will end.
Magic:
Nasuna Faeurie - Literally "Darkness Flame", a sickening green flame emitted from his wand. While he can produce a handful from his fingers, his wand is able to cast three fireballs that are a little larger than his fist. This can also be used as a light in dark places, which uses very little of his magic power, and can last for more than two hours if he needed it.
Nagra Mia - The Black Mist, this mist can be used to envelope him and camouflage him in the dark. He cannot emit a whole lot of black mist, just enough to cover up his body. This mist only lasts a little over five minutes.
Reqem perle - The ability to talk to those who are dead. However, this spell only works on those corpses who still have their vocal chords. He is only able to ask these corpses two questions.
Alchemy - Lesper has a somewhat limited knowledge of poisons, mostly those of black widows and other various spiders, as well as vipers and asps. This knowledge includes knowing the antidote for the respective concoctions.
Death Sense - The ability to sense where a body is lying within a square acre around him when he concentrates. He can tell when the person died, and if it was within a day he can tell how they died. This ability does not grant him knowledge of who killed them if they were murdered.
History: The son of Manon and Silva Harlek, born in Hyrule Town along with his older sister, Zita. For the first part of his life, he and his older sister (by two years) Zita went to Funday School, and often played in the fields west of the town. When they were young, Lesper counted on Zita for much of her knowledge in life, as he found her to be the smartest person in the world. She would help him with his homework, and even teach him songs to help him remember certain useful tidbits of information that he had problems with. The both of them were more or less raised by their father, who worked as a carpenter but was never too busy to give them the attention and love that they needed. Their mother, however, found that keeping the house clean and cooking was work enough for her, even going so far as to call the lot of them burdens on her life. She blamed her children for keeping them from being rich and having the life she wanted for herself.
When Lesper came to the age of twelve, his mother chastised him on a daily basis because he did not have a job, the same way she nagged his sister until Zita finally got a job at the Happy Hearth Inn as a waitress. Though his father tried to reason with her, she would hear none of it. It only took him three days to get a job at the local tavern, ran by a kindly old man named Nerzeil. Though he could not pay the boy much, his hours were reasonable, and his job of scrubbing the floor was fairly simple, and many people tipped the boy out of pity.
After working in the tavern for several months, Lesper had proven to be one of Nerzeil’s better workers, so much that they stayed late hours after work. During these times, the old man would tell Lesper wondrous tales of lands far over the horizons, and his adventures he had in his youth. However, on a seemingly normal day, the old man closed the store with an eerie glare at how a chill lurked in the air that night. Though Lesper wanted to stay late once again, Nerzeil did not think it was such a good idea, and despite his best efforts to make the boy leave, the door unlocked, seemingly by itself, and opened.
There stood Eloctum, a tall, haggard, hideous old man who glared directly at Nerzeil from the doorway. He wore an old black cloak and a gruesome smile smothered across his scarred face. Without being told, Lesper hid behind the bar as they began their dubious conversation. The boy learned that Nerzeil was once a very powerful mage, who built himself a reputation as a force to be reckoned with. Somewhere along the way, he had crossed Eloctum, the Necromancer, and he chose then to collect his blood bounty. The conversation soon escalated into an argument, and without warning, the Necromancer struck. Soon the sounds of blasts and combustions rang out through the city, as the wizards dueled in that small tavern. Though many heard, only Lesper bared witness to the utter decimation inside that structure. Though Nerzeil proved to still bare many of his old skills, Eloctum claimed victory as he sent the old mage a life-draining surge of energy that sent him strewn across the ground.
After claiming Nerzeil's life, the Necromancer came to the quivering boy hobbled behind the bar. His first instinct was to simply kill the boy and be done with it. However, the Necromancer had a much more fun idea in mind. He grinned a haggard smile down at the boy as he pointed his wand at the corpse, using dark magic, he made it into a literal meat puppet and stood it on its feet. He commanded the boy to look at it, and then began to ask him questions. He gave the boy trivia on the dead, asking him if he knew what rigor mortis was. When the boy said no, he chastised him, calling him a stupid little bastard. And when the boy knew nothing of decomposition and rotting flesh, that was when the Necromancer felt the boy needed to be educated. He grabbed the boy by the neck and pulled him face to face, saying that he was going to a new school, and if he didn't like it, he could turn him into a pile of bloody flesh instead. As a first test, the old man changed Nerzeil's corpse into nothing but a pile of bones, and picked up his skull from the floor. He handed it to Lesper, and told him that if he dropped it even once, it would mean his death. The old geezer cloaked their presence from any bystanders and he dragged the child out of the city. Across miles of land, the old Necromancer brought Lesper to his home. He resided underneathe an old mansion, in the catacombs. There, with no explanation of any kind, he threw the boy into a room with not so much as a bed to lie on, and shut him in until the next morning.
Thus began what Lesper would know as the "Gloom of his Life." Every morning was met with continuous death threats, and every day, he was forced to handle the dead. Whether it be to carry a body, clean up clods of flesh from the floor, or even take a shovel to the grave sites and search for the least decayed corpse he could find, he did it with no argument, otherwise he was severely beaten and given a taste of the sickening green flame that the Necromancer emitted from his fingertips. The thought of escaping crossed Lesper's mind once or twice, but it was revealed that the old bastard thought of that too. It was revealed to him that Nerzeil's skull carried an enchantment which kept it within Eloctum's sight. Though he was brutally sadistic and sick-minded, Eloctum was quite a good teacher, within the first few months Lesper found out more than he ever wanted to know about the dead and how people died. Before long, the Necromancer passed down his old wand to the boy, and decided to see what he could learn. Over time, Lesper reluctantly began to learn the black magic; he was taught how such magic reanimated the dead, and even animated certain objects. Poisons and mixtures were also hammered into his knowledge, as well as the Necromancer's incantation for green flames.
Then came the very first time that he summoned a skeleton. To his great surprise, there came a teenage girl's squeal of joy as it rose from the ground. The summoned bones introduced herself as Emia, and instantly took a liking to how cute Lesper was. The boy was too confused to even react to her cuddling and joyful nature. Though he acted like a jerk to the skeleton, it a very much needed joy outlet to the horrible treatment he was given on a daily basis. While he did appreciate her cheer, he forbade her from acting in such a manner in front of the master.
Though he called the Eloctum master, he still deeply scorned the old man. Though he was not allowed to show it, Eloctum wanted him to feel it, the hatred drove him to learn even more so that one day he would gain the power to kill the bastard Necromancer. He was given the traditional black cloak, and assisted the old man in his so-called "errands." The longest four years of Lesper's life passed, and just when Lesper thought he would never escape the bastard Necromancer, there came one errand that did not sit well with Eloctum. It was the first time the boy had ever seen fear in the old Necromancer's eyes as they ventured out into a grassy field in the falling dusk. An eerie, gray clouded sky hung above their heads as they approached a very large figure in the middle of the plains. As they neared it, he saw it was a very tall man, clad in black metal armor. He stood tall, his hand resting on the largest sword Lesper had ever seen sheathed at his hip. Unlike Eloctum, Zelthen was clean-cut, sharp and deathly intimidating simply in his stature. As Eloctum spoke to him, he mentioned his end of a bargain being completed, and was ready for Zelthen to hold up his end. An infamous smile crept over the warrior's face, and he played ignorance of any such deal. Before Eloctum could even speak one syllable of protest, the broad sword was swiped out of Zelthen's scabbard, and plunged directly in the center of the old Necromancer's chest.
Before Lesper could even begin to comprehend what had just taken place, the Death Knight turned his gaze to the young Necromancer's Apprentice. The boy dropped to his knees in front of the Death Knight, and tore open the front of his shirt, revealing his bare chest, accepting, nay, pleading death at that very moment. Zelthen simply laughed, sheathing his sword, he turned to his ebon steed and mounted it. He glanced at the boy once more before turning and riding away. He left the boy alone, not only alone, but free.
He had no real options, so he returned to Hyrule town. He barely recognized it at that point. Four years seemed like four decades to him, as the people there greeted him with no smiles, but dubious glances and fear. His heart sunk as he saw that their house was an abandoned, filthy mess. Finally, at the inn his sister worked, he found a familiar face. The head caretaker recognized him, and was sad to tell him about what befell his family. His mother, stricken with grief of her lost son, lost her sanity and hung herself in her room. His father and sister left Hyrule town in search of Lesper, and she had no idea where they went. He declined her offer of a room, the utter disappointment of revisiting his childhood hung like a shackle over him.
He did not sleep that night, he simply walked, and began to understand why that bastard Zelthen didn't kill him. He knew this would happen, that black-armored bastard let him live with the torment of his new-found life. All of these questions for his existence weighed so heavily on him now. Lesper kept up down the road, he didn't know how many miles he ambled, but he walked.
