Me and ticky got into this Join-me program which lets someone set up a stream, and other people can join the stream and watch what is happening on the other person's computer screen. We've also been using Skype for live conversations.
Well we had this idea that every once in awhile, someone could set up a Join-me and everyone can join and watch and converse, and the person who set it up can make an RP post. Us the viewers can watch over their shoulder while the make the post, and talk and ask questions, while the person hosting the stream and making the post can answer questions and talk about their writing style and thought process while they write.
All in all it's be a group interactive event, and even people who don't have mics or Skype can still watch the Join-me and comment in the Manga Blast chatbox real time.
So yeah, would anyone be interested in doing this? It'd be nice if we had several of the regular posters, so everyone who participates in the RP can get a taste of how and why other people post.

As I've said in our Skype conversation, I think this would be a fantastic idea. Not only would it be a lot of fun, but it would help whoever was writing the post improve in their writing. The audience and participants would also improve, learning, as you said, how and why they post.
I know you said you would volunteer to go first. I can also be one of the first to get things going. I'm going to be relatively free all day Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until 4 PM so we could easily schedule something then.

I am not here Fridays, but otherwise I'm usually here whenever. As stated I figure the more people we get the better, and as long as we just set aside a time beforehand so everyone knows when to be on.
Also we'd probably need to designate beforehand which thread the person hosting would be replying to so they don't have to go in blind.

I will also volunteer my shitty posts, which I can pretty much do whenever I'm not in class. If I can't think of anything to post, I can also whip out Photoshop and start drawing or doing homework or whatever. I do think it's a good idea, and it will really help those of us who want to learn about how different people go about writing in their own styles.
Word of warning though, I have a tendency to edit while writing, so sometimes I end up getting rid of sentences, paragraphs, or even entire posts...which means it takes me a while to actually post anything.
(and you guys thought I was just lazy...tsk tsk.)

I'm only here from time to time, and if I post it'll only be to post random Z dreams from his terror comma until i return. But I so love this.

Eh, I may do this too, if I have time and I'm somehow motivated to participate.

I'd do this, but I spend like literally 2 minutes per post and I'm only online for like an hour at 10pm

We tried it, it didn't work so well.
At least for me, it was too hard to concentrate on writing an actual detailed post, with conversations going on in the call, conversations which were about stuff I was writing about at the time and also wanted to take part in.
At least for me, I supposed it could work if we did it, and the person who was posting was not in the call and allowed to concentrate.

I miss the times when we did things such as this.
