Here's my mangos, updated since the last time I posted something like this. I now have even more shelf space to display stuff! (Vinland Saga Volume 1 should be in there, but a friend's borrowing it) As you can tell, my collecting habits tend to be... erratic. But I'm always looking to add onto it! Come to think, I might even need to get another shelf, soon. Special thanks to Ceej for her contribution to these lovely shelves.

I suppose it's time for the CJ to post stuff too. I can never beat the Morc, but I can still love muh mangos! Also, I owe Ky for the Astro Boy 3 I have. It has the entire Pluto arc and it's gorgeous. The whole thing! I... I collected things. The first part of it! I organize by author (then by date of publication) because I'm a weeb. There's the Nendoroid shit too. I freaking love those things. The One Piece begins (plus assorted paperbacks, including Haruhi!) This one used to be a preschool shelf. These next two ones used to be laundry cabinets of all things. Owning Bobobo is my pride and joy, even if they fucked up the publications. The one OP Japanese volume I have has the Strong World chapter in it because I didn't shell out for the box set. Unfortunately, my Sailor Moon has been loaned out for what seems like forever. I'm rather worried about it to be honest. I ended up keeping Sailor V though (since it's my favorite part). I'll eventually get some magazine file boxes to better organize the American comics and actually put another shelf there for more mangos. Muh One Piece shrine! I ended up getting the color art book on a sale. The Brook figure was a gift from a friend. Then I got my favorite OP volume in Japanese and an autograph/drawing by the English voice of Usopp himself, Sonny Strait. THE BOX OF SHAME. Actually, there are some good things in here like Wish, but this is the series I really don't care for having on my shelf right now. Tsubasa and InuYasha are buried in here.

My sides will never be the same after seeing this thread. To be honest, I've really only started being interested in collecting after my mom threw out every one of my previous manga for being "inspired by Satan." I was banned from reading manga for years and had to hide it unfil I entered college. I certainly have a lot of manga, definitely a ridiculous amount, but collecting them for me has always made me feel like I had control in my life. My shelves are a message to myself that I'm OK, in a safe place and allowed to be myself. So yeah, it can be pretty lulzy to some people, but it's a legitimate hobby for us and a comment like that really is inappropriate for a thread like this. I preorder, buy used and wait for sales to build up my collection. Rarely do I ever buy full price. Some say it's silly to have so many books, but it gives me comfort at the very least. And where else could we post about something like this, if not a forum like this?

What's that manga on the right, Morc? It is Volume 1 of A Certain Magical Index/Toaru Majutsu no Index. loved the anime been desperate to get the manga for years but Yen Press sure did take thur damn sweet time about it despite the spin off manga A Certain Scientific Railgun/Toaru Kagaku no Railgun making the new york times best selling list several times. both series are awesome. oh well the long wait is over and I finally have it so better late than never, now if only they would go get Sekirei then my Yen Press wish list would be complete.

I still love your burger CJ. I'm poor so I don't have a collection of anything. Hahahahaha; thanks, Mise. My burger is the physical representation of my American spirit. As I mentioned before, my collection is almost entirely made up of used or preordered volumes. I use sites like Amazon and gohastings in the States and wait for sales. My Death Note series was about $15 total for example. My OP posters were $11 total. I guess what I'm saying is that collecting can be friendly to your wallet if you want to get into collecting. You just have to be patient and wait for sales
