Paola rolled over her eyes at Lucas. Trust wasn't about to be given to him anytime soon. She was glad at least her Trubbish was listening to her. Opex and Kolenkhov seemed to understand each other on a personal level but didn't seem to work well in battle. She and her Trubbish were the opposite, which she thought was likely worse.
"Sup," she casually introduced herself to Mr. Sevill. "I'm Paola, Poison Gym Leader of Fuschia City. Nice to meet you, Mr. Sevill."
The island was unlike anything the Gym Leader had seen before. She began to curse herself, thinking she probably should have studied geography more in case of sudden teleportation.
The sudden appearance of the woman made her stand on edge. She knelt and gripped onto her Trubbish and looked up at the others.
"A Pokemon Master? I've never met one before. Eh, should be interesting I guess. I wonder if he... or she's got any Poison Pokemon on em'. They'll definitely have overpowered Psychics. Dumb."
She assumed they would go along with the woman. There wasn't really much else they could do, given the storm. She stood and nudged her Trubbish.
"Pay attention, Tubbers. We're going to make you more powerful than any Pokemon we see in here. That's my promise to you."

Lucas, along with the rest of his traveling group, eventually arrived on a massive island. As they approached, the storm that ravaged the sea seemed to dissipate around the island, which gave Lucas an ominous feeling. There was something not quite right on this island and after his previous ordeal at Mt. Moon, he did not know if he, or more importantly his Pokemon, were up for the task.
Releasing his thoughts, Lucas managed to shoot a glance over at Paola. He could feel the disdain and mistrust emanating from her cold look, but in all honesty, Lucas did not care one bit. He felt the only person he owed any explanation to was Delric. Out of everyone, Delric seemed the most humble and grounded. Lucas walked over to Delric, “things have been rather hectic over the past few hours and I feel like I owe some semblance of an explanation. If we ever get some downtime, I would like to explain my actions.”
Lucas had no idea how Delric would respond, but afterward the group was approached by a rather odd woman telling them that her master wanted to meet them. Given the circumstances and the surroundings in which Lucas could not determine his whereabouts, he felt uneasy.
“Something is rather odd about this place.”

Gray, despite the fact he was standing right next to the group, ignored what happened around him right then and there. He was looking at a Poké Ball in his hand, smirking. The Lapras that had saved him had consented to becoming a part of his team.
'That's three. And I won't have to fear Fire-types anymore...'
He frowned, though, as he looked around him. The years of studying Pokémon in the wild in order to learn about their habits, diet and many more things had honed his danger senses. And this island caused his alamr bells to turn into klaxons.
Picking up his pack which he had dropped ealier, a photo droppped from one of the side pockets. He picked it up and looked at it, grinnign immediately. It showed a younger him, about three years prior to now, with Snivy in his arms and an Eevee on his left shoulder. On his right shoulder sat a small, pink cat-like Pokémon with a rather long tail. Gray's grin widened. He'd never told anyone, but during his travels, he'd stumbled across several of the more human-friendly Legendaries, though he wasn't interested in catching them. Studying them had been a treat, to say the least. He'd learned much in these encounters.
This particular Pokémon he'd met while passing through Hoenn. They'd hit it off immediately. The little ball of energy followed him for quite some time.
"Mew... I wonder if it remembers me..." he mumbled. Shrugging, he put the photo back into the pocket before anyone could see it. He'd made a promise to keep those encounters a secret, and he would keep it. He shouldered his pack and waited for the events to continue.
OOC: Hope no one minds this little part of Gray's backstory... No, he won't have any Legendaries, unless approved. Maybe a Pseudo-Legendary, though

"Oh, a gym leader? I bet that must be tiring, fighting this trainer and that trainer and those trainers and these trainers...Sounds exhausting." He seemed mildly surprised that she was a gym leader, his eyes still half-lidded and almost falling asleep. At least he wasn't flying on his Honchkrow at the moment, since he had put all of his Pokémon back in their balls.
Sevill raised an eyebrow at the appearance of the lady. He made a sideways glance at Delric to answer his question. "No, no, it didn't say who exactly was inviting me. I'm sure that you guys can come along though, probably, right. Right, Ms...?"
As he waited for the lady to give him her name as he and the others followed her, he started having some regrets about coming here. The whole thing was very suspicious now that they were here, but it was better than working back at the office. Stealing the invitation from that one Pokémon trainer was probably worth it, probably. Hopefully, if he was supposed to actually do Pokémon fights or something like that, the kids could do it for him. Yup, this would work out jussssssst fine...

The woman who was leading through group down the giant corridor didn't turn to face Sevill as he asked his question. Instead, she kept her blank, empty eyes looking forward. "My Master is the strongest Pokemon Trainer in the world. You will meet him soon. If any trainer wishes to come and battle with him, they are free to do so."
Eventually, the woman led them to a giant arched doorway. She raised her hand and put her finger tips against the surface and the door began to glow. It then slowly swung open. It led into a giant room, a giant Pokemon Stadium! There were even seating and it was open to the dark, stormy sky above. Standing in the center of the Stadium was a pokemon.
As the group walked closer, they soon came to realize that this was no ordinary pokemon. A powerful psychic aura seemed to resonate from the pokmeon. It was mainly humanoid shaped, purple and pink, with a long tail and a sinister face.
"This is the Pokemon Master," said the woman, standing still. "He is ready to meet you now."
The strange Pokemon then raised it's tri fingered hand, and the woman fell backwards, fainting. The pokemon then spoke, using psychic. "I no longer need your assistance. Everyone else, welcome to my stadium. Welcome to your final battle."
However, he paused and took a step forward. He scanned the crowd, then slowly shook his head. "However, there are some here who I did not send my letter to. I wish not to even bother with those I am no familiar with. Be gone."
He then waved his hand and everyone, except Sevill, would, if they could not properly withstand it or use a Pokemon to counter, be thrown back into the air by a psychic wave of energy.
The was of energy slammed into Delric, causing him to fly into the air.He would have hit the ground hard if it wasn't for his Espeon, who used her powers to catch him just before he hit the ground and lower him down easily. Espeon, once seeing that Delric was okay, spun around and faced the Pokemon, hissing.
"What is that thing!?" yelled out Delric in disbelief.

Briefly, Paola overheard Gray mumbling to himself. Mew? Was he meowing to himself? She couldn't help but imagine Gray as a Meowth. Meanwhile, she merely rolled her eyes at Lucas. Her trust wouldn't come easy.
"Meh," she smirked at Sevill. "It's an alright job. Though you're right. So many trainers can be soooooo annoying. Fortunately I've got a lot of Pokemon to back me up."
The Pokemon Stadium was a sight to behold. It was massive, much bigger than Paola's puny gym in Fuchsia City. Something wasn't right. How did she not know about this place? And what was this Pokemon?
"A Pokemon can't be a Pokemon Master!" she shouted at the mysterious woman, pointing her finger at the Pokemon. Her eyes widened when she got a better look at it. Even in her experience as Gym Leader, seeing so many Pokemon, she had never seen something like it.
She and her Trubbish flew back from the psychic blast. Unfortunately, the Trubbish was walking shyly behind her before so it was nearly crushed by her weight in flight. It fainted as soon as Paola hit it. She groaned and gasped when she saw the condition of her Trubbish.
"No kidding!" Paola responded to Delric. "It can't be for real. Talking and using moves like that, it can only be..."
Her face fell.
"Psychic. I can't stay here! I've got to leave!"
It would be no surprise that Paola didn't get an invitation to the event. Her Poison Pokemon were no match for Psychics (or Ground types, though that wasn't too relevant here) and her boisterous attitude was too eccentric and proud to have anyone believe she was a force to be reckoned with. Now she was too frightened of the master of the stadium to be reasonable and tried to make a run for it.
Clutching tightly onto her Trubbish, her feet rocked back and forth as her eyes shifted crazily.
"Freaky Psychic Pokemon Freak!" she shouted in a panic. "Where's the exit? Where's a way back to shore? I want out!"

Gray's eyes widened at the Pokémon in front of him. It was unlike any other Pokémon he'd ever seen, though there was something about it that seemed familiar, he just couldn't tell what it was.
Luckily for him, before the attack could get him, Aiko released herself from her Poké Ball and received the attack for him. Her being a Dark-type, it didn't affet her and was neutralized. Gray smiled, if that was a Psychic Pokémon, he'd just gained an immense advantage. But one look at the Pokémon's eyes told him more than a thousand words. This Pokémon held a rage and sadness that was palpable to a caretaker like him. What was that poor being's story?
He shook his head, for now, he and Aiko decided to stand in front of Paola, to protect her and her Trubbish, if push came to shove. Shooting a calm look at the younger woman, he spoke in what he hoped was a calming tone.
"Calm down, Paola. Panicking won't do any good. Remember, your Pokémon depend on you. Besides, think about it, don't you want to show everyone that a type advantage like that is nothing to you? Type isn't everything, after all." He smirked a little at the end.

Lucas proceeded to follow the group, but did trail several paces behind. He felt a little out of place perhaps rightfully so. He could not allow it to bother him as he now found himself in an entirely new situation. Once the elderly woman opened the doorway, a massive Pokemon Stadium emerged into view. Lucas was amazed at the shear scale, but was also bewildered at finding such a fantastic arena in what appeared to be in the middle of nowhere.
In the middle of the arena stood what the woman called her ‘Pokemon Master.’ But Lucas’ amazement, it was a Pokemon. A Pokemon is a Pokemon Master? Lucas continued to scan this mysterious Pokemon and suddenly became aware that is was a Pokemon he had only heard rumors of. Lucas could not believe he was in the presence of this Pokemon.
Suddenly, and without warning, the Pokemon raised it’s hand and began speaking. This is too weird. It must be speaking psychically. After it stopped speaking, there was a sudden wave of energy shot in their direction. Some of the young trainers Lucas was with withstood the attack with the assistance of their Pokemon, however, the only Pokemon that could withstand a massive Psychic attack would perhaps be Zorua, but even then, the attack seemed too powerful. Lucas was not going to allow his Pokemon to be injured. Instead, Lucas took the attack and was thrown several meters backward.
He landed on his left shoulder, possibly dislocating it in the process. It was then that Lucas remembered how dangerous Pokemon can be when threatened. The only disconcerting thing is that Lucas felt he and his companions had not threatened the Pokemon. Something must have occurred in his past to make him despise humans.
Lucas wanted to know his story.

Sevill raised an eyebrow at the appearance of the "Pokémon Master", not caring that the Pokémon's assistant just fell to the floor. "...Final fight, huh? That doesn't sound too good..."
When everyone else was sent flying, his eyes popped open. His jaw dropped and his tongue sticked out like his eyes as his head slowly turned to face the others, who were now at the other side of the room or close to it. Sweat quickly formed on his brow and his eye twitched as he realized the gravity of the situation.
This is insane! I'm not even a Pokémon trainer!
He turned back towards the Pokémon Master, speechless as he released his Honchkrow from his pokeball. The large bird raised an eyebrow at the new Pokémon just as his master had done moments ago, and looked around in confusion as Sevill tried to speak.
"...W-w-well, Pokemon master...Y-y-you have shown a great deal of your power...yes...A great deal indeed. As y-y-you wish, I will f-f-fight you.
Honchkrow!"
"Honch!"
The businessman jumped onto his bird and held it as tightly as he could. On cue, the bird lifted itself into the air and flew towards the exit, both the Pokémon and its trainer wanting to get out as quickly as possible.
