DayZ SA, which I am playing is still in Alpha, so don´t expect much.
-The zombies are still just a view, they glitch through walls and stuff like that, but they improved them since the release. Since the last patch they can only be killed witch a headshot or a beat against their head.
-So far just a view Guns are in the game, most popular are the Mosin Nagant with long range scope, with that you can kill game (other players) till 800 meters distance. Meele weapons are found everywhere, but to kill a Zombie in meele combat easily you need a firefighter axe, wich is the stronges meele weapon atm.
-the world is huge (ca. 10 on 10 km), and you may think with a maximum of 40 players on each sever, you won´t met anybody. But beware on hot spots like airfields or major cities, there you encounter quickly other players those are in the majority hostile.
Gameplay is like this: you start just with a pants and a flashlight, usually atthe coast in the south or east of Chernaus, then you need to find food and baverage quickly. Afterwards players usually get weapons, clothing (for more storage room) to fend of zombies and other players.
Since Zombie hunting ain´t fun yet, and no other quest are avaiable atm. People go on human hunting, either sniping or encounter them in a city.

I know it is probably terrible in comparison, but there is a minecraft Day Z server, huge map with up to 80 chars, and is actually really fun if you can team up with some guys who don't want to kill you.
But I doubt its as fun as Day Z, just different.
