Soon Lian found himself at a clearing in the middle of the Fairy Forest and there he saw a woman meditating. Lian stood there looking around his for a moment and when he was first asked a question he remained silent for now. After a short moment Lian noticed the sacred treasure of Charity that was lying there, but it's owner was nowhere in sight. It would seem that Lian was not the only one missing his sacred treasure... Lian would rather not think about his missing treasure, his right eye. ”The time for me to layeth down my blade. I still needeth its servitude.” Lian finally gave a delayed response to the woman asking if he had come here to 'join the others'. ”The purpose I hath cometh here isth that I seekedth the man to whom that lantern belongeth to. Dost thou knoweth where he may be?”

Arx shouldn't have been, but he was surprised when the fairy came flying. M was a fairy, that was sure, but Arx had never met one that looked like a fairy.
He noticed M wasn't able to respond. Most likely some power the Fairy had. He decided he would have to answer carefully so as not to get the same curse.
"A Holy Knight and Demon Blood awoken her memories," said Arx plainly, yet purposely ambiguous. "She is a fairy and you can erase her memory and give her back her powers. That is all I know."
He glanced at M. "If you would do so, then we will be out of your tower as quickly as we entered."
Arx hoped he wouldn't be asked a riddle. Harlow wasn't around to answer this time.

"Woke her memories?" Stohlz asked with a deep frown. "That can't be right. You're saying that all wrong. That spell could only be broken by her alone. Unless you're saying this Holy Knight made her acknowledge herself, but why would someone do that?"
The Fairy King's wings began flapping rapidly. He hovered like a hummingbird, just high enough to look down upon. As Arx might have guessed, the "wizard" didn't exist. For whatever reason, Stohlz complied with M's wishes before by deceiving. It seemed like he would do it again.
"I can reset the spell but how can I be sure she won't come crawling back here? She won't remember anything past the spell breaking, but if she refers to herself again, this whole ordeal will begin again. I can bring you back to your world before she wakes up, but Superbia will want answers. What will you tell her?"

Arx shrugged. "It should not be a problem. If she doesn't remember anything past the spell breaking, then it will be as if this never happened. She'll wake up one day just as usual."
He looked to M. "What do you think? Are you ready? The sooner we find the rest of the Virtues, the better."

"People come looking for Charity from time to time. Often find themselves leaving empty handed."
Although she didn't actually say, it might have been obvious to which she was alluding. All the while though she didn't seem, or care to move, still absorbed in meditation. The stranger might not have known it, but there were many who came to this place, at least regularly enough that she didn't drop everything to accommodate them.
"I know where Charity is, yes. You seek for reason."

Lian remained quiet for a moment, as usual and then a short while later gave his response to the woman. ”The man to whom this lantern belongeth to isth an acquaintance of mine...” Lian stopped for a moment once again. ”My name isth Lian... That isth what most men calleth me... Men knoweth the man I seeketh as Tombrad.” Lian went quiet again. He was talking slow and his thought process might have been hard to read, as usual. ”Tombrad isth the Virtue of Charity... And I am the Virtue of Patience. Dost thou understand?” Yet another short pause followed. ”That isth the bond we hath and the reason I seeketh him.” Lian figured this might take a moment, but he was in no hurry. He never was.

"I haven't heard name in... a very long time."
When Lian began to let on more information, the woman took a deep breath as her demeanor changed, though he might not notice. Shifting in place, she turned to look back at him with the first amount of interest she had shown in a long time, well before the virtue had fallen upon her grove.
"Charity rests, but not here. Far and away, across land and time. Lian may seek, but will need lantern to find."

"Be sure to keep it that way," Stohlz responded with a deep frown. Fluttering away, he crossed his arms in what appeared to be deep concern.
The small fairy flew up to M's face, almost pressing his into hers.
"Yes, M," he said after Arx. "Are you ready to forget and continue your journey?"
"I don't know, Wizard," she said. Her face became full of emotion. It was a mixture of sadness, doubt and perhaps even guilt.
"I don't know?" Stohlz asked with wide, unblinking eyes. "What did I tell you about using I, we, me, us? Humilty is the virtue you value most, remember? You can't ever use those words again. You must never acknowledge yourself."
"What are you talking about?" she responded rather confidently. "That's not humility. I knew someone once who had true humility. She wasn't afraid to seek the help of others to protect the people she loved most. She wasn't afraid to betray the person she loved most. Maybe the others were right, if I'm truly the Virtue of Humility, why would I choose to forget her?"
"Why? Because she's the cause of all this! If she didn't disobey you then... no, stop it!"
A white light enveloped M and began to spread throughout the hall. It covered every inch of the hall and even traveled into other parts of the building. As it began to fade, it revealed bright and vibrant colors. The entire hall was restored to what appeared to be its former glory. Pink and purple drapes hung about the room with expensive art and vases littering the place. It was over indulgence at its finest.
M looked almost like a lifesize porcelain doll. Her baggy clothing was replaced by an adorable pink dress, decorated in sequins and jewels. Its skirt poofed out like the top of a cupcake. A small gold tiara appeared on her head. She now was a child, much like Stohlz in the same room. It wouldn't be odd to assume the two were related, both sharing mousy brown hair and more than a hundred freckles across their faces.
The torn portrait was repaired and was revealed to be an enormous depiction of M, or Superbia as Stohlz called her. At her feet was one of the dog-like creatures like the ones the group had seen back at the forest. Unlike Superbia above it, the beast seemed no different or special than the others they had seen.
M turned toward her friend with a shocked expression. Her face flushed with red.
"Arx?" she asked, then turned to the Mountain King. "Stohlz, what's going on here?"
The Fairy King held his head low. His hands shook as he tried not to look directly at the two.
"You should have never come back," he said through gritted teeth. "You should have never remembered who you were!"
Stohlz threw his arms up, summoning up decorative swords and armor from the walls and corners of the hall. He threw his arms forward, throwing the weapons and crafts at the two. For all Arx knew at the time, M was defenseless. She didn't move and only stared at the objects flung at them.

Lian seemed to be deep in thought once again when the woman spoke of Tombrad's fate this was followed with an another moment of silence followed and as usual Lian would respond after a short moment. ”Time dost nae matter to I. I may seeketh him with the lantern... But dost thout thinketh I shouldth doth so? Wouldth that hath any meaning if I were to seeketh him?”
After a short silence Lian spoke again. ”However... I hath heardth that the Virtue of Charity isth a 'young woman', but that ist nae the Tombrad I knoweth. Art thou his successor? Or hath I been misleadth?”

Arx was surprised when he saw the scene suddenly transform around him. He felt as if they'd gone back in time, to a place where M was a real princess and this castle was fresh and new. Perhaps a better time, but not so. The Fairy King did not hesitate to attack with all of the weapons in the room.
He knew M didn't have her magic. She couldn't transform. She was just as vulnerable as any girl who appeared her age.
But Arx still had his magic.
He pulled his turtle shell off his back and pointed it at M. "Sheild of Achilles, Ultimate Block!" A clear blue film surrounded M, and for the next few minutes, no attack could harm her, no matter how powerful. But when the magic faded, Arx would not be able to use the ability again for some time.
As for the weapons flying towards him, he blocked just with his shield. The Shield of Achilles was a Sacred Treasure, with powers as strong as Harlow's Ring of David and Cahaya the Lantern. Arx was confident that it could fend off a few iron weapons.
He yelled at the Fairy King. "What is the meaning of this? If M does not wish her powers back, if she wishes to just remember her name, then so be it! What harm doe that do to you?"
If anything, it would harm the Virtues, thought Arx. Without M's power, without her mask, she could not be a Virtue. Could just six of the virtues retake the Kingdom? After facing the Great Holy Knight Tenbraum in Valleway,he was not sure.
He could only hope that Harlow and Lian were doing better in finding another Virtue.
---
OOC: I am taking control of Harlow for the time being.
Harlow had followed Lian and found the young woman upon the bank. He had listened to their conversation thus far.
"And I am Harlow, the Virtue of Temperance." He flashed his ring, his sacred treasure, but proof was most likely not needed. His eyes fell onto the lantern. If they could find Charity, that would give them four virtues with their treasures. Such a group of people hadn't gathered together since the fall of the Virtues.
"How did you come into possession of the Sacred Treasure?" he asked.

"I had not considered myself Virtue of Charity... perhaps title was handed down without knowing. Only thing I had known myself to be a successor of, was gift."
Given the sacred treasure nearby, it might have been obvious to which she was referring, though she made no effort to indicate this. Instead, she seemed rather perturbed by this new information, and talk of her possessing Tombrad's mantle caused a look of worry on her face. She was not afforded much time to think on the matter however, as Harlow dropped into the scene now with his own questions and differences. With this many new people, she felt the need to keep a better eye on them, and shifted in place so that she was facing them though she did not move from her position of meditation. As she faced them, they would see that the ritual tattoos were not confined only to her back. Strange patterns and designs adorned her skin in other places too, patterns they might not have been familiar with and designs they might not have known, since they were from another land and culture entirely.
"A gift, from owner. One of many, and one of last. Burden of possession is mine now, burden not easily lost."

Truly, Arx was an oddity in this changed world. Stuck between the two fairies, he might have felt like an adult who stumbled onto feuding children at a playground. Of course, Arx would know that appearances weren't all that they seemed, especially with these two.
Something he might have noticed was that even though they were likely related in looks, M seemed to be almost an entirely different being in nature. She didn't have wings like Stohlz did and, for all Arx knew, she didn't have fantastic magic.
Stohlz grew angrier, seeing his attacks do absolutely nothing to the two. He ignored M for the time being and threw his hand out. The weapons that had harmlessly bounced off the Shield of Achilles were brought back up toward him. They danced in the air and floated horizontally around his form.
"What harm does that do to me?" he asked with wide, unblinking eyes. "This isn't about me, you worm! You call her M, but you have no idea what that means to her! You have no idea who Superbia is! Her memories, her name cannot stay! You know far too much!"
The Fairy King pulled his arms inward and held his head low in what appeared to be a fit of anger.
"Arx," M muttered, looking quite fearful beyond his blue magic. "We... we have to leave. I've never been able to change his mind about anything, especially when he was angry. Arx, at your feet!"
The stone floor below Arx shifted. Suddenly, like the chunk of earth they had rode to get to the castle, the ground lifted up beneath him, sending him straight to the ceiling. Then, without warning, it sped back into where it had previously been, leaving Arx hovering in the air for a single moment, almost on the same level as Stohlz, before he too began to fall. If a normal human fell that distance, they wouldn't likely survive.

Once again Lian was deep in thought for a while listening to the young woman and Harlow speak. ”If thou art nae successor to Tombrad... What binds he and thou together? Why dost thou possesseth that sacred lantern?” Lian remained quiet for a moment and then also asked: ”Who art thou?”
From the discussion thus far Lian had been trying to figure one thing out and he felt like he was right about this so to confirm his suspicions Lian asked: ”Isth Tombrad no longer among the living?” Lian did not seem to be bothered at all about suggesting this possibility.

Arx was still confused at why the Fairy King was reacting so horribly. "If you care that much about what M remember, then just take away her memories! We all want this." At least, he thought M wanted to forget. It was still hard to tell.
He looked at M when she proposed an escape. "Perhaps you are right. There doesn't seem to be a way to convince--!"
Suddenly, Arx flew up into the air due to the ground below his feet rising. At the apex, he looked down. The floor was a long way down. He knew he could survive, but perhaps he could do even more.
He held his shield in front of him, towards the ground, and then plummeted down. "M!" he yelled as he fell. "RUN! I'll find you outside! Go while you can!"
And if nothing stopped him, Arx would collide against the floor with enough force to seriously damage the Fairy King's castle.
---
Harlow looked at Lian in surprise when he suggested Tombrad might be dead. If that was true, they were no longer the Seven Virtues... unless this girl took up the role. Such a thing had never been proposed before, but times were changing...
Even so, Harlow was jumping to conclusions. He stood quietly to allow the girl to answer Lian's question.

"I am adherent to teachings. Charity, before all things. Lantern was a gift, act of charity. Gave lantern, just as gave name. I too, have given name, though I hear pilgrims say... 'Illustrissima'. A meaning, more than a name."
Although he was not here, she carried on his beliefs. By the most basic definition of charity, she had been given the lantern. In turn, she too wished to repeat the cycle, but was not herself at that level of the process yet. Of course there was the obvious question then, by Lian, which was probably all that mattered. She found herself to be at a disadvantage here though, because Lian knew the individual better than she did, if he was indeed a virtue as well.
"I cannot say if is still alive, for I do not know what Lian considers living to be. I can say however, last I saw was leaving to a place, at a time when I could not follow. If you seek, I only know of place where departed."
