"Hmm? What is?"
Hearing the squeaking of the toys again, Hilda leaned over the side of her chair again to look down at them. They seemed to be showing off their music makers, perhaps seeking validation?
"Very shiny, yes. Very nice."
Although she afforded them attention, being able to get a hands-on examination of Haruka more or less cleared her curiosity. She had simply been interested in how they were making all that noise, but she found out it was just tiny instruments. The rest of the band wanted to show off to her as well, so she acknowledged them, but didn't feel some great compulsion to grab at them or play with them. Now if they actually asked for that, or wanted it, on the other hand...
Otherwise she more or less just sat there, kind of bored now, and even propped her chin up with one hand by resting her elbow against the armrest.

Hito blinked at Gracie.
"Well, where is this Eta Jones? I'd like to go to my island now. Can she swim or will she need a ship? Eh, I'll allow her one boat ride..."
Hito went quiet, realizing he shouldn't speak his plan of burning all ships to the other warlords, though they'd probably find out soon enough...

At the word "arguably" Morrison's ears twitched. While he did certainly appreciate Gracie's basic sentiment, he didn't think there was anything arguable about him being the smartest amongst his order. He may have also taken offense to her wording, if he wasn't the only cat of his intelligence in the world. But he did agree with her, so he wasn't about to debate. As it was, he was rather embarrassed to be in that room at all. He couldn't leave, however, with his question to Gracie still being left in the air.
He felt like he had no real options, like he was trapped. More than anything else, cats hated being trapped, and he was no exception. With nothing to do, really, and none of the topics of conversation, or the business with the band members, interesting him that much, he lay his front paws out on the table, and yawned. With nothing else to do, he could at least take a nap.

"Oh my," the band member said calmly when Coyote positioned her onto the armrest.
She watched carefully as the fishman lasso'ed her fallen comrade. Her eyes went extremely wide at the grace and dexterity of the action. Her skin went pale.
"I just realized. You're Coyote Magnum. Oh my... m-my my..."
Very, very carefully, she climbed onto the table and placed her fallen comrade on her shoulders, leaving the sousaphone behind.
"T-t-t-thank you, sir," she said as she shook all over. "Don't kill my family, please."
With that, the band member actually leapt off the table, only to be caught by a cushion the other band members had deployed at the bottom of the table. Once she and the other member were safe below, they screamed and fled with the rest of their band members, who were now running away from Hilda and the rest of the Warlords.
"Flee! Flee while you can!" one shouted.
"As soon as I get home, I'll ask my girlfriend to marry me!" another shouted.
"I'm only two days away from saxophone retirement!"
They ran in a zig zag pattern to the central building of Mariejoa, praying that no more of their comrades would fall victim to the insanity of the warlords.
---
"I do not travel by ship, Mr. Tsumami. I warp."
Out of nowhere, a woman blipped into existence next to Hito. She stood on the back of his chair, the front of her high heeled pumps teetered on the edge of the segment behind Hito's seat. She glared down at him with fierce emerald eyes that looked as though they belonged to a warrior, yet were of a rather small and fragile secretary, much like the Fleet Admiral before them.
"It is the most efficent way for me to travel," she continued. "I developed it after studying the Devil Fruit power of a colleague of mine. It allows for instant travel from island to island. From the resources I have gathered, I appears you would rather not board ships so this method should accommodate you. I do not care if you destroy ships along our journey, so long as they do not have historical significance."
She did not smile, frown or show indication of any emotion.
"My name is Eta Jones. I believe our alliance will be benefical to the two of us."
---
"If there is nothing else to be said here, this meeting is adjourned," Gracie said as she gathered her materials together.
"Finally!" Uzo said but quickly hushed himself after the Fleet Admiral glared at him.
"I thank you for taking the time to come here today. I expect better behavior from all of you... next... time..."
Euphoria came over Gracie as Morrison yawned. Her face went bright red as she took in the image of the adorable feline stretching his tiny little paws on the table. She pressed her hands on the side of her face in quiet adoration.
Uzo's eyebrows went high as he tried in vain to understand how Gracie could admire Morrison of all things so much. He sighed and smirked at Hilda.
"Hey, Hilda. Mind getting me down from here? I'm... lazy is all and I don't want to teleport."

Hilda watched the musicians run off with some degree of interest, but she wasn't intent on pursuing them or further bothering them or anything. Instead she just sat and waited for the meeting to end, resting her chin on her hand which was propped up by her elbow against the armrest of the massive chair. Eventually Uzo in turn spoke up, though it took her a moment to realize he was talking to her specifically.
"Hmm? Want down?"
Obliging, she leaned forward as her great arm extended across the table. Slowing as her hand actually approached him, with an exercised care she picked Uzo up between her fingers and gently set him down on the ground far below.
"There to go."
With that she returned to the original posture she had maintained, the boredom creeping in again. If only she understood what adjourned meant.

Adjourned. Freedom. At last.
Naturally, he could have left at any time. He could have gotten up, climbed down from his chair, and walked away, and nobody could have done anything to stop him. Any time he felt like it, he could have been out of there, away on his next adventure. Nobody could truly keep a cat anywhere, they were beasts that went as they pleased, when they pleased. Morrison only chose not to go. That is the lie he told himself.
As the meeting is over, I will take my leave now, was scrawled on a little piece of paper left beside Gracie. It was a pleasure meeting you, as well as our new Warlord associates. If I am permitted, I will depart to Vengeance shortly, to carry out my mission. If anything should come up, send a messenger bat. They always seem to know where to find me.
He placed the documents he was given into his bag, and climbed down the stairs as easily as he would walk along horizontal ground. He meant to slip out quietly, without even bothering to give a farewell to the others. Such things weren't needed. Besides, he had much better things to be doing.
Vengeance. Even the name of the country told Morrison something. There was so much he had learned about the place, the land, and its history, but all that knowledge had meant nothing, until he could visit it himself, and ask questions. It was almost comical, as he was thinking about it. It took him so long to get close to finding the missing pieces he was after, and now they were just being handed to him. Then again, if the government really wanted to keep him away from finding out what he wanted to know, they never should have made him a Warlord in the first place.

"Just keep 'em off the wanted posters" Coyote said to the girl just before she leapt to the crowd below. "Just one more thing," he said looking up at Gracie. "If I'm gonna be workin' as your personal lawman..." He placed his thumb behind the lapel of his duster and pulled it forward. "...I want a badge"
