Aether happily continued on eating his chocolate bar for a moment, until it arrived, an abomination that goes by many names, 'Spider Thighs' being the most common and famous of them. The horrors affected even the ever so carefree Aether, who for the moment had at least a bit more serious look on his face. He walked towards the massive spider and then slapped it and then slapped it again and again. The slaps just kept on coming, they weren't very strong though, about what you would expect from a boy of his size. "I really, really hate spiders. De-deh~"

Apollo's lip quivered when Izaelya made him realize how much danger he put himself into. Whatever this girl was, it was apparent her magic could warp reality itself. His willingness to help her paid off but it could have easily led to his doom.
But then, something absolutely terrifying crawled into their presence.
It was blunt in its horror, less mysterious than the immortal child, Aether, but all too freaky. So this was the thing Astral Lance had spoke of. He tried desperately to ignore it and its pleas, but when it touched him and he came face to face with the thing, he panicked.
Out of fear, Apollo opened his mouth and gasped.
It was as loud as a trumpet, but as delicate as a whisper. The sound Apollo made seemed human and inhuman at the same time. It was an outward blast of music that danced on their senses that then pulled them into Apollo's control. It was only a spurt of what he was capable of, so it might have only dulled the senses of those either not expecting it or inferior to his power for a brief few seconds.
Covering his mouth with his hand, the siren instinctively backed away from the monster. At the same time, he stood in front of Elly, hoping to protect her so he could figure out why she was so interesting to him. If anyone was to be eaten by the thing, he hoped it would be the immortal child slapping it, so he and the others could run in the distraction.

"That's it, Apollo, you're always the calm one," jeered Astral Lance as Apollo approached Elly, which appeared to ease her mind, and in turn, regulate whatever magic she herself could not yet fully control.
"Oh, don't worry," assured Astral Lance, still looking around with his hands on his hips. "We're not gonna hurt you. We're not a bunch of evil mages bent on world destruction. But you are going to help us. Even if you don't want to, it seems fate has... well I guess you could say... ordained it. Now, what you'll be helping with is..."
Astral Lance stopped at the strange, eerie high pitched sound of a tormented child. He heard Apollo gasp, which in itself caused his vision to blur for a moment, but luckily the sound was faint enough not to cause harm, but instead to alert him that it was finally here. He turned towards the entrance of the cave and the light from outside was blocked, casting a silhouette of pure horror.
The giant spider creature, with a small child attached, dangling like a ragdoll, walked towards the ground, ever so gently brushing against them. Astral Lance allowed the creature to touch it and emphasized that the others should as well, especially towards Aether who was busy whacking the spider. "Don't be afraid," said Astral Lance. "It mostly likes to eat childr--" He stopped himself, realizing two of his members had unexpectedly turned out to be kids (or at least appeared to be).
Instead, once the spider had finished investigating Astral Lance, he took a step back, for even he feared the creature, if not for anything, than for the legends surrounding it.
"This is Arachnoid Aegis," pronounced Astral Lance. "The final member of our little group, the Oracion Seis."
With everyone here, Astral Lance felt he could finally get down to business, but before the, he allowed the group to get acquainted. They were going to be together for a long time, anyway, and for a long adventure.
---
Izealya Thorn, on the other hand, had chills running down her spine. As soon as she saw the creature, small spikes appeared on her body, piercing through her skin, as she prepared to kill it, but upon Astral Lance's reassurance, she lowered her guard.
That didn't make the feeling of a hairy spider leg upon her body any less excruciatingly gross.
"I can understand a silent guy," muttered Izealya Thorn, referring to Apollo, "and even a child or two, if they're strong enough, but a giant spider? And is that a corpse of a kid? What kinda group is this?"

"Darn, I had a feeling I wouldn't be able to just leave after I saw this place... is it like your secret lair? It looks nice, I like all the crystals, are they crystals? I think they're cryst-"
Just when she felt like she had things under control, the horrible spider creature entered the cave. It didn't take a second look and Elly shrieked and tried to run away, further towards the back of the cave now that the entrance was blocked. When she could go no further, she dropped into a crouched position and brought her arms up to cover head. While the magical effect around her before had all but disappeared, now it was back in full force; the humming was pretty loud now and the distortion about her was so strong it was almost like looking at her reflection in a funhouse mirror, as warped as she looked. This was only worsened by how it appeared that she and everything within the distortion field around her began to vibrate at an increasingly high frequency till everything within started to draw towards her.
"Take me away take me away take me away take me-"
Before things could come to a head however, Apollo gasped, and Elly fell limp to the ground. In a sharp drop-off, her magic faded as she was overwhelmed by the masked figure's voice. Even something as simple as a gasp had enough of an effect on her.
---
"I-If it's p-part of the group..."
At some point later she had regained her senses, but she remained huddled up on the floor, and kept her eyes covered with her hands. She didn't want to think that the creature was in the cave with her, possibly right behind, let alone look at it. Assumedly, she was not used to monsters or scary things, given how inexperienced she was simply with magic.
"...it's not going to k-kill us, r-right?"
Her magical ability had lessened, but it was still noticeable as she tried not to panic any further.

Now that everyone was gathered and acquainted, Astral Lance thought it a good time to start discussing just why he had brought everyone together.
"Alright, everyone, listen up!" he said loud and clear. "I know some of you are wondering why you're even here, and others aren't sure of our future goal, but I'm here to make that plain and simple. We have just one goal, and we will accomplish it no matter what."
Astral Lance turned around and stretched out his arms. "Look! This is the Crystal Cave, a place where, many years ago, a certain mage was locked in, unable to communicate with the outside world. She left everything behind. But, one day, she managed the strength and reached out and spoke to a friend of mine. I wasn't sure what to make of the situation back then, but with time, I too grew to accept this bound mage. She gave us strength and power. We were, in our prime, the strongest Guild in the world."
He turned back to the group. "Yes, the Oracion Seis existed one hundred years ago, but times have changed and I am the only remaining member. But not anymore! I have gathered each of you here because you all hold potential. Your magical abilities are endless. If we can find this bound mage, for she is no longer here, then your powers can grow even further!"
Astral Lance walked over to Elly and knelt down, petting her on the head. "Do not be afraid, for there are many more horrifying things than the spider. Just wait." He stood up. "The mage that was bound her was Asmoday, the greatest mage the world ever saw. She has gone missing, and it is our one goal to find her, no matter what! The Oracion Seis will not be complete without her!"
"Apollo, Izealya Thorn, Aegis, Aether and you, Elly, we have a mission, and we must start immediately."
He gave a devilish smile down at Elly. "Let's have an adventure! We are going to break into the Magical Counil, and we will find out what they know about Asmoday. I know the place very well, for I was once part of it, and I am sure it holds the knowledge we need to find her! And we will!"
Astral Lance walked towards the exit of the cave. He reflected on all that had happened. He knew Asmoday was no longer in this cave, but out there, somewhere. He had to find her, and with this group at his back, he felt anything was possible.
He thought back to the revelation he had a few days prior which spurred his motivation of recreating the Oracion Seis....
---
After leaving Qi alone at Renascence, Astral Lance, figuring it may very well be the end of the world with Samson on a rampage, went to the Crystal Cave to pay respects to Asmoday one last time, even though all the times previous he had not heard her respond in any way.
He knelt down in front of a large, spiraling crystal, looking up at it. He could see his reflection on the shiny surface. He wondered where Asmoday was, what could have possibly happened to her over the century.
But just as he was going to stand and leave the cave, finally, after all this time, he did indeed hear a voice. Even now, Astral Lance could not fully understand what he heard, but he heard something, and it was telling him to find Asmoday, for part of her was out there. Find her and bring her back to the cave!
Astral Lance, feeling gleeful, ran out of the cave and immediately began research, searching for the strongest dark mages around to become part of a group that would enable him to find Asmoday, just as the Crystal Cave had told him.
One thing, however, did bother him... It was the last hing he heard from the Crystal Cave just before he exited.
"Asmoday is no longer here."
---
But that worrying message no longer bothered Astral Lance. He was prepared. The Oracion Seis mission would begin soon.

It would appear that Aether was unable to kill the overgrown spider, with his puny arm strength, and when Astral explained that it was supposedly their ally the immortal child stopped whacking on this helpless creature, at least for now. "I still don't like spiders, though. De-deh~" Aether did not quite grasp all of what Astral was talking about, but he kindly listened to it, while enjoying his delicious chocolate bar. It would soon come apparent that Aether was always eating sweets; he never ate anything else and would never stop eating sweets. And even then he would never gain any weight. He was not human, not even close.
"Oh... That means you're old. Even older than me. Like ancient. Then I guess you can call me kid. De-deh~" Aether did reply to the part where Astral told about his history with Oracion Seis.
And so Aether, the immortal son of the great dark mage Red Mercury, had joined Oracion Seis and along with him brought along a horrible curse that would fall upon his new comrades. Their mission would surely fail.

"W-Wait... what do you mean more horrifying things?!"
Astral's presence at first helped her to cope with the situation, but his words did exactly the opposite. Thus far she still didn't have a good idea of who these people were or what they wanted with her, beyond something about a person named Asmodi, but already she had a feeling that she wouldn't like any part of this. She wanted to protest to Astral further, but already he was headed out of the cave, and while she would have followed him the spider was in the way. Due to this she stopped short in a panic, and brought her hands together again as she closed her eyes and tried to concentrate.
Again the strange humming effect and visual distortion began, but this time it seemed she was directly causing it rather than it happening due to her anxiety, as such it was more controlled albeit less noticeable. A moment more and everything in the small area about her collapsed inwards towards some unseen point at the center of the sphere, assumedly inside her chest. The same effect took place upon her body as well though, and it looked almost like the entirety of her was drawn inwards to this unseen point, like being sucked into a drain. One moment she was there, and the next she was gone, along with anything close around her that wasn't fastened down.
And then, almost immediately afterward, there was a sudden explosion of force outside the cave as all the dirt and rocks that had been taken with her were expelled from some point in the air outside. Shortly afterward of course, Elly appeared, looking like she simply expanded outwards from that point after all the rocks and dirt had been expelled. The point from where she emerged was in just the right place that she was standing just fine outside of the cave, approximately near where Astral was. Seemingly unperturbed she continued as though she never stopped.
"-and what was that about the Magical Council? I didn't sign up for this!!"
Despite her obvious distress, there was some question as to why she had used her power simply to get outside rather than moving past the spider, instead of using her power to teleport far away from here to a place where none of these strange mages would ever find her.
