"Oh, so she wants to join the guild, huh?" asked the illusionist Asmoday, remaining in the Pink Petal form. "Well, fine then! Let's see what you've got! Show me your power!"
Asmoday thought to herself that this certainly wasn't good. She wanted to grab Narthan and push him to the ground and force a cure out of him, but she knew she couldn't with another mage here, especially since she didn't know what his powers were. It was best to wait and observe.
---
Azealya confusedly looked at the scrap of cardboard and pencil given to her. She paused and looked around, making sure she was in the right place. She then sighed and shook her head. "I can already tell I'm not going to like this," and she wrote her name 'Azealya Thorn' in cursive, and under that, in small lettering, she wrote that she'd be staying in the Guild, since she had no home of her own.
She then passed it back to Alden, half-listening to the conversation expiring between him and the strange giant girl. She already didn't like her.
---
Elrond, flying across the sky, finally saw something that caught his attention. Far down below, he saw Cinder trade something with an ominous robed figure before departing.
He clenched his fists. "Maybe Asmoday was right," he said to himself as he soared down to ground level. "Maybe it was Cinder the whole time!"
He landed hard on the pathway in front of Cinder, shaking the ground under their feet. He then raised his arms as if preparing for battle. "Hold it right there!" he yelled out. "Just what do you think you're doing?"

"I am, if ya want ta talk to the Boss, I can tell him yer lookin' fer him."
"Yeah, actually. I'd appreciate that."
So it wouldn't be as easy as just having her lead the way to the other merchants, but still, he was farther now than back at the guild. Worst possible situation, he could always try to follow her, and maybe it would be that simple.
"I can already tell I'm not going to like this,"
Alden had a suspicion that the way Azealya looked and felt now, was similar to how he had looked and felt back when Elrond first asked him into the guild. He couldn't really say towards the defense or condemnation of the guild though, instead figuring it would probably be better if she saw it and judged it for herself. He only hoped she would be patient enough to wait long enough to actually see the guild for herself, rather than simply giving up after the sight of their poorly booth.
"Didn't one of yer friends get killed? Aren't ya supposed to be more upset or somethin'? Doesn't make sense that you'd be recruitin' more members when ya got a murder on yer hands."
"Hmm, don't think so, sounds like you might have gotten us mixed up with someone else. Had a little magical mishap, but it's pretty much dealt with now. Took like, five minutes to sort out. Good thing, too, just in time for all this." Waving a hand errantly at the surroundings, it was obvious as to what he was referring. "The table isn't much now, but like I said, give it a little bit and we'll have everyone down here along with the supplies to make it look pretty top notch."
With that, and Azealya signed up, Alden leaned back in his chair a bit, arms crossed behind his head.
"Talk about recruitment, are you looking to sign up? You sure seem interested in our situation. Not every day you get to be part of something that saved the world..."

"Ya know, I just knew it was you. It had to be. The others ain't so bright so they probably haven't figured it out yet and are chasing for someone else, but I always knew it. Right from the beginning." It seems like Jupiter hadn't realized that this wasn't the real Asmoday, but rather someone disguised as her. Nonetheless he did realize that whoever this was, was indeed an enemy.
"Now all I gotta do is beat her up and that's it." There was one problem however, and Jupiter would soon discover it; he was unarmed. Jupiter did not conjure the marbles by himself, but instead had to keep them in the bags he always had hanging from his belt. The thing was that he wasn't wearing his belt, or anything really.
"What the hell? Where's my marbles? Or my clothes? Why didn't anyone tell me, dammit? It's like it's completely normal for me to walk around the damn guild house like this." Maybe it was normal for him to be like this so that no one really paid much attention to it or maybe no one dared to tell him the news that he had been basically naked for the last three or so hours. Jupiter could try a desperate dash to his room to grab some marbles, but that might not work so he had to think of something else. Meanwhile a loud and painful noise could be heard, but Jupiter acted like nothing had happened, like he had heard nothing. All he did was sit on the couch, perfectly calm.
"Nah... Your magic... It's just tricks. It can't kill anyone or actually it can't even hurt anyone really. It only works on idiots that can't figure it out for what it is. Ya can do what you want but it won't do a thing on me." Jupiter wasn't really sure where he was going with this bluff or if it would work or anything really. He just knew he had to do something. "My magic on the other hand... It can kill you on the spot. Wherever you are, no matter how well you try to hide. So it is you who should surrender." Jupiter really didn't pay much attention to what was going around here and did not notice the figure behind him.

"OK, then. Here I go..."
Briar Rose reached into his pocket and pulled out what looked like an ordinary wooden spindle. He inhaled through his nose and pressed his finger against the end of it. His eyes slowly shut and he stood there silently.
If Asmoday listened closely, she'd hear that his breathing changed pattern, as though he had fallen asleep.
"Briar?" Narthan asked, waving his hand in front of the man. "Hello, is anyone there?"
Glancing at Asmoday, a devilish smile came over his face. It was unlike anything she or the other Renanscence members had seen before. He was truly malicious.
"I think this is where his magic and our fun begins. I believe he told me to instruct him like so..."
Coughing, Narthan stood straight and pointed to an empty can on the ground.
"Briar Rose, spin that can into thread."
Suddenly, Briar brought out his arm toward the can. A blue light enveloped it and brought it toward him in the air. The spindle also began to hover in front of him. In a fast and rapid motion, the can began to spin apart, strings of it entering the top of the spindle and coiling into the bottom of it. This process continued for about ten seconds until the entire can was transformed into dull gray yarn.
"Holy shit," Narthan said in a harsh whisper. "He really can spin anything into thread but he needs to be asleep to do it. Imagine what chaos we'd be able to ensue with this guy. We should have him destroy the other vendors' merchandise so people will only be able to buy from us. Then we can put the blame on him and tell him he can make it up with servitude. What do you say to that idea, Susano-san?"
Briar Rose merely stood there, completely at the beck and call of Narthan and Asmoday.
---
The ground shook between Cinder, knocking her to the ground. She stood back up and shook terribly in her glass high heels. Placing the bag in her dress pocket, Elrond would likely hear the clang of coins inside of it.
Stepping back away from him she drew a small glass knife and looked at the guildmaster.
"Elrond," she said, "I am just looking around. Your magic scared me. Is everything OK?"
---
"Okie dokie then," Pink Petal said with a large nod to Alden, "I shall go and tell da boss now."
Moving her sheepy steed forward, Pink Petal bumped into Azaleya again. The woman had plenty of space on the street but continued to push forward to walk almost through the mage.
"Excuse me. Excuse me. Excuse me."
Rather than trying to correct her own problem, Pink Petal expected Azaleya or maybe even Alden to fix it for her.
"I'm so sorry, mmmmmmeaaaahhh," a tiny voice sounded. It came from the sheep steed, who was continually forced to bump cutely into Azaleya.
--
Jupiter might have been thrown from his seat. The figure behind him lifted up the couch to throw him from it.
Tossing the couch aside, the figure was revealed to be Monkey. His eyes were clouded and fogged. He seemed to be looking past Jupiter, not at him.
Pointing one of his crooked fingers forward, he began to wheeze, frantic in the cold darkness of the illusion.
"You can kill me, but you can't ever control me again! I'd rather die than watch you kill Qi!"
A voice filled the air. It was as though the owner was among Jupiter and Monkey as a person and a presence. Oddly enough, it seemed closer to Monkey than it did to Jupiter.
"All you need to do is to give me permission to kill the summoner and I'll let you out of this nightmare."
"No!" Monkey shouted as he clutched his head. "I won't let you!"
The summon sprinted forward and issued a powerful, crazy punch at Jupiter. It was a devastating blow, enough to break bone. If Jupiter wasn't careful, he could be in serious danger.
At this range, Jupiter would likely see that the back of Monkey's neck was purple. The skin looked decayed and sick. Monkey wasn't the healthiest of Qi's summons, but his skin was never that color.

Asmoday, still in the Pink Petal form, watched closely as Briar did his magic. She gasped as the mage spun the can into thread. She could already imagine the possibilities. Could you turn fire into thread? And what if you sewed something with that fire made thread? She knew it was dangerous, and Briar was in the wrong hands with these merchants.
"Impressive," said Asmoday, nodding. "But don't you think that we should try this on something more than just a regular old can? How about a person? Remember that Renascence Guild, yeah? Perhaps we should go test out Briar's magic there."
Of course, Asmoday did not know the chaos going on at the Guild, and she did not know that Alden and Elrond was not there.
---
Elrond watched closely at the glass knife Cinder had summoned. "Stay right there! I asked you a question, Cinder. Just what were you doing with that man? What's in the bag? Another terrible bottle that'll put us all into a coma?"
Elrond slammed his foot against the ground and large stone spikes appeared on either side of Cinder. They didn't shoot out, but simply stayed still to try and limit her movement.
---
Azealya Thorn was trying to listen to what Alden had to say, but Pink Petal kept pushing against her atop her giant sheep, as if expecting her to get out of the way instead of going around.
Her face turned red and she clenched her fists, and even though it sounded like the sheep didn't have any say in what was going on, she was still mad.
"I don't have time for this!" she shouted, raising a hand. Piercing out of her skin like tiny needles, red spikes flew out towards Pink Petal. If she were to get hit, she might feel a bit woozy from the poison held within the tiny spikes.

Things were going bananas in the Renascence guild house as all of a sudden Jupiter found himself standing on his face on the floor as someone had flipped the couch he had been sitting on. Soon Jupiter would discover that it was the Monkey that was chimping out. "What the hell are ya doing?" Jupiter was quite sure that Qi's animals were supposed to be on his side, but apparently at least this one wasn't. Then again he also thought that Asmoday was on his side, but then she turned out to be the culprit, so who knows. "Ya wanna fight, eh!" Gone was the bluffing. Now it was just time to for him to go ape and brawl. He did not pay attention to the purple hair growing on Monkey, not that he really could have noticed it too well anyway. Jupiter couldn't tell colors very well due to his thick shades which made the world very dark in his eyes. When the monkey troubles came to him Jupiter was ready and dodged the punch and then countered with a punch of his own. He was going to beat the crap out of Monkey and after that Asmoday and whoever else decided to be evil today. At least he'd try to, without his magic he would probably just lose. Not that he was bad at brawling, but still he was at a disadvantage.

Narthan smiled widely at Asmoday's suggestion. His eyebrows twitched in delight.
"Whoah! I never thought of that! I like that idea way better. You've got a big brain in that tiny head, don't you, Susano-san? Let's go back to that guild house and see if we can use Briar's magic on one of them. Weren't you supposed to go back there anyway and make sure that girl was really dead? Ah well, we should get going."
At this point, Asmoday could still order Briar as easily as Narthan could. She could follow him, go her own way or try something else.
---
Meanwhile, Cinder was caught within Elrond's earth magic. She became even more frightened, like a rat in a trap.
"I would never conspire to put anyone in a coma, especially my best friend! I am not the sort of person to do that!"
Shaking, she held her glass knife toward the guildmaster.
"Elrond, why would you accuse me of trying to hurt you and your friends? I didn't think you were so cruel!"
She was dodging Elrond's inquiries as much as she could, trying to make it seem like she was the innocent one and he was a villain.
---
Azealya knocked Pink Petal to the ground, making her shout in surprise. Her sheep steed winced and cringed in pain as it took most of the poison attack.
In retaliation, Pink Petal took her necklace off and swung it to and fro.
"Go away, Sheep! I summon... ummm... Draggy!"
Sheep disappeared in a sparkling, golden light. In its place, another tiny golden light appeared atop Pink Petal's head.
Unlike some other summons the mages might have seen, this one was very small, almost unnoticeable. It was a seahorse, that stood atop Pink Petal's head at an astounding three inches, bouncing on its tail. It was dressed in a sweater vest, bowtie and monocle, looking like a tiny professor. It's golfer's cap was adorably set on top of its head. It could have been mistaken for another other seahorse, had it not been for two tiny fins that served as arms.
"Draggy!" Pink Petal squeaked. "Make her go away with your magic!"
"I'm telling you, my dear. My name is Dragon and I don't have magic. Magic isn't real and those who think it is are silly as those who would deny the very storm around us!"
As he said this, a dark cloud began to form over the group. It hovered closely over the roofs of the buildings around them and began to pour rain down on them and the Renanscence booth. The wind began to howl terribly, but only in the booth area. People began to run and flee from the scene.
"May lightning strike any one who thinks magic is real!"
The ground began to glow about Azaleya's feet. If she didn't move in time, she would be struck with a nonlethal lightning strike.
---
Jupiter's punch connected, sending Monkey to the floor. The summon was astounded, glaring at the mage with wide, unblinking eyes. He rolled and knelt, as though ready to pounce on all fours.
Monkey wasn't technically an animal, like some of the other summons in his category, but he was getting closer to becoming one.
Back in his days as Janus, a double agent working in Fable, his appearance was kept clean and proper to avoid any suspicion of his real identity. For all his former companions knew, he was just a man with severe allergies. But now, his nails were jagged, his clouded eyes feral. He didn't need a monkey's tail to look like a ravaged beast.
The purple on the back of his neck began to cover his chin and chest. The point of origin was turning black. Jupiter might see a small, unnatural form stuck to it.
"I'll end his and your suffering right now if you let me kill the summoner. Don't you understand?" the voice asked again.
"His?" Monkey's voice cracked. "Who's he? There's no one here but me and you! Why do you need my permission to kill Qi? You've already killed Jupiter and the other summons!"
"Oh dear, he thinks I'm talking to him. How silly."
"Shut up!"
Monkey leaped toward Jupiter, trying to tackle him to the ground and beat him to death. His form was awful, so it might have been easy to take advantage of the summon at this point.
---
Narthan and Asmoday, still disguised as Pink Petal but assumed to be Susano-san, approached Renascence Guild.
Immediately, something seemed off. The two could hear yelling and shouting from inside.
"Haha!" Narthan laughed in excitement. "It looks like our plan worked! They're tearing each other apart in there. We'll have their assets in no time!"
Cracking open the door, the merchant's mouth dropped. Inside, they could see six people. Qi was still where she was, on top of a table with the glass coffin over her.
Three of her summons, Snake, Horse and Rooster, were sitting on the floor in various parts of the room. They were panicked and distraught, stuck in various levels of horror and distress.
Jupiter and Monkey were situated in the middle of the room. Both had clouded, foggy eyes, as though they were stuck in a trance. Monkey in particular had discolored skin and was clearly infected by something. On the back of his neck was what appeared to be some kind of mosquito-man hybrid. It sucked at his skin, making his illness worse and worse.
"Susano-san?!" Narthan yelled, turning to Asmoday. "But if he's there, then... who are you?!"
Monkey leaped at Jupiter in a frenzied attack.

Elrond yelled in anger, and suddenly something very strange happened. The stone spikes that formed a barrier around Cinder began to glow a bright yellow color then dim again, as if attempting to change forms but not quite succeeding. Elrond's face was red with anger.
"Answer the questions, Cinder!" shouted Elrond. "If you truly care for Qi as you say you do, then answer! If you aren't on her side, I can't allow you to ever come to the guild again!"
Elrond hadn't been this mad in a long time, and it appeared he wasn't going to let Cinder go anywhere or do anything without answers first.
---
Azealya Thorn watched with a raised eyebrow as Pink Petal suddenly summoned a tiny seahorse that sat on her head. When it finished speaking, it was clear it was going to strike lightning straight at Azealya. The ground began to glow underneath her.
She looked down and smirked. "Lightning, huh? Fine then! Let's see it!" And suddenly Azealya was struck with lightning. When the light faded, a slightly crispy Azealya could be seen, smoke coming off of her body. She gave a big grin and pointed straight up at Dragon and Pink Petal.
"I've tasted much worse lightning, especially from that guy! Do you know who I am? I am Azealya Thorn of the Orac-- of--" Azealya glanced at the cardboard poster on the stand next to her. "Ah, that's right. I'm part of Renascence the... The best Guild in Fiore! Yeah!"
She then crossed her arms in front of her face and long black spikes began to pierce out of her skin. She hoped the display of taking a lightning blast and still ready to fight would be enough to scare Pink Petal away, because she didn't want to take the lethal approach, especially in front of one of the members of the Guild she had just joined.
---
Elsewhere, Asmoday, disguised as Pink Petal, followed Briar and Narthan. However, as they grew closer, Asmoday knew things were definitely not right. She had hoped Jupiter, Dofun, and the other Guild Members would have kept things in order, but apparently not.
When Narthan peeked inside and then confronted Asmoday about who she really was, she knew she had to think fast.
"Briar Rose," she said, looking at the boy, pointing at Narthan. "Spin this man into thread."

"Killed me? What the hell is this dumbass talking about? No way anyone could ever kill me." Jupiter listened to what Monkey and Asmoday were talking about. Then it hit him, he actually figured something out and this time it even made some sense. "She uses illusion... So this damn baboon gotta be hypnotized to think I'm dead. Of course he would have to be a damn idiot to believe it but whatever... I know exactly what to do now!" And so as the Monkey came towards him he was ready with his special anti-illusion strategy. Sure it was risky, but Jupiter believed in this, he knew it would work. It had to or he would be in some serious trouble. And so as the tackle was about to hit him Jupiter tried to grab Monkey and then perform his secret move; the German suplex. "It doesn't matter if this stupid monkey sees illusions if he is knocked out he can't do anything!" If the German suplex wasn't enough to knock out Monkey it should at least put him in a good position to bring in more pain. If he was successful that is, grabbing someone who is just about to tackle you like that wasn't easy. Assuming he was still in good enough condition to talk as Pink Petal, Briar and Narthan entered the guild house they could hear very angry Jupiter yelling: "You have no business to be here so leave right now or I beat the crap out of ya, dammit!" Some hospitality.

Alden had to do his best to hold the "booth" together as the miniature storm raged about them. Between the cardboard sign, the roster sheet, and the jar of sand, he had his work cut out for him let alone that his cloak kept being swept into his face.
"Hey. HEY! You wanna fight? You take it somewhere else, you're ruining the booth!"
He had to shout over the sounds of the storm, and he didn't look all to pleased at what was going on. Realistically he wasn't all that worried about the actual table setup that much, since the real decorations were still back at the guild and just fine. However, with the spat going on between the two right in front of the table, it was preventing any potential other new members from signing up.

Cinder screamed and threw her hands up when Elrond's anger moved the spikes around her. She nearly smashed her glass slippers under her feet out of fear.
"You do not understand! I had to do it. We cannot afford my stepsister's medicine anymore."
Shriveling, she began to cry. Her make-up ran down her cheeks. Cinder was a fragile girl, but her sadness made her look even more pitiful.
"They never told me who they were, only that if I were to visit my friend Xing Qi and take notes on her guild, I would receive the money I needed. My stepsister is dying, Elrond. I could not refuse.
"I do not know if what I did has anything to do with what is going on here. I never intended to hurt you or my friend. You must believe me."
---
"Good Heavens!" Dragon exclaimed to Azealya. "You survived the lightning! No one survives lightning! At least, no one survives lightning I've seen. Why, when I was with that buffoon of a mage, Ruby, I saw the most dazzling lightning and storms. Yes, she always kept me tucked away because my firm disbelief in magic but at least there was always an appropriately sized storm!"
"Hey!" Pink Petal barked. "Ya sayin' I'm not good at magic?"
"Magic does not exist! I swear. Why won't people understand that? Someone remove mine and my friend's keys from this ingrate immediately!"
"No, I earn these keys mahself! Ya have no right ta take them!"
"You are mistaken. You stole the keys, my dear."
Pink Petal swatted at the seahorse on her head. Hopping, the seahorse dodged her attempts to strike him.
Gesturing to the keys around Pink Petal's neck, Dragon spoke to Azealya, Alden and anyone else standing by.
"If you would, take these and free us from this imbecile at once."
Much to likely Alden's discomfort, the storm brewed on. It was unlikely that it would end until Pink Petal was defeated or the keys were taken away.
---
Monkey let out a screech as he was grabbed and thrown over Jupiter. His head and neck hit the ground hard, knocking him out and saving Jupiter from injury or death.
As the summon was taken out, the room lit up again. The illusion about Jupiter was gone, allowing him and the other summons to see that nothing had been harmed at all. There were simply under a spell.
But it wasn't over yet. Near the floor one could hear a strange sound. Squeaking.
Squeezing out from underneath Monkey's body was what appeared to be a mosquito hybrid of a man. He was dressed in clothing made of candy wrappers.
"You!" he chirped, pointing at Jupiter. "How dare you disgrace the great Susano-san? I will destroy you!"
Taking off into an adorable flight, Susano-san buzzed through the air at Jupiter in a slow and cute attack.
"Watch out!" Horse bellowed in terrible fear, clasping his hands against his horse face.
---
"What! No!"
At Asmoday's command, Briar reached his hand out and forced Narthan into the air. The crook yelled and pleaded as he was spun round and round. His clothes and possessions began to break apart about him and spun into thread on Briar's spindle.
Curiously enough, it seemed Briar couldn't spin people into thread. Not a single part of Narthan was being taken away.
As pieces of his clothes flew away, Asmoday would be able to see several jars of sand in the band about his waist. There were four different colors, but most importantly there was a red jar like the one Rooster had described.
The magic spun Narthan about, getting closer to the jars contained inside the bag. If Asmoday didn't tell Briar to stop now, the jar would be forever lost.

Erlond's face morphed from anger to compassion when Cinder told her story. Part of him wasn't sure if he should believe it, but he knew that if it was true, he would never forgive himself. So he floated down to the ground and the rock spikes sunk back from where they came.
Elrond approached Cinder, and she might see a tear in his eye. "Cinder... You are Qi's friend, correct? And she is my friend. And so, you are my friend. If you can't afford medicine, then you should have come to her first! We would do anything we can for a friend!"
He pulled a sash off of his belt and put it gently in Cinder's hands. "This is full of gold. I got it from the last mission I was on. I was going to use it to expand the Guild, but... my friends come first."
He looked back towards his Guild. From anywhere in town you could see it sitting atop the cliff. "I feel terrible things are happening there. Cinder, if Qi is your friend, then go and protect her."
The ground around Elrond's feet broke free and he began floating in the air again.
"As for me, I'm going to see just who you were talking to." And with great speed, he flew away in the direction the cloaked man had went, hoping to catch up with him as quickly as possible.
---
Azealya was getting more and more annoyed. Not just with Pink Petal, but with Dragon as well. For all she cared, they could both get out of town. But she knew the Key that Pink Petal held was of magical importance, and it was not something an idiot like her should be in control of.
"Ast-- I mean, a friend told me that there is a Celestial Spirit user in your Guild. Perhaps she could use a key like that?"
It appeared Azealya was going to take a step back and let Alden take the key, if he wished.
---
Back at the Guild, Asmoday quickly took note that Briar's magic did not affect living people. It made sense, because quite a lot of magic didn't affect living people, it was just a general rule of magic. But it certainly helped in more ways than one.
For one, Narthan was floating in the air and appeared to have little control over his movements. For another, she spotted the jars, and the red one in particular.
"Easier than I thought," she said, and she reached up and snatched the jar away from Narthan's waist. "You can stop now, Briar. Good job."
With the jar in hand, Asmoday then said, "Narthan, call off your friend in the Guild and I'll let you go. You've made a mistake to mess with Renascence!"

After having knocked out Monkey with his amazing wrestling skills Jupiter celebrated his victory by fist pumping in the air. Beating up your comrades has never been so satisfying. Despite having just a moment ago yelled at the people entering the guild he now seemed to mostly ignore them.
"What the hell?" The tiny Susan Osan certainly surprised Jupiter. This must have been what drove Monkey bananas. Again Jupiter knew exactly what to do. He has been always good at getting rid of annoying insects and had a surefire way to do so. Jupiter reached out to a newspaper on the nearby table and grabbed it. It wasn't just any newspaper, it was from last thursday. Then he rolled the newspaper and tried to whack Susan with it.

"You know honestly-"
The wind swept his cloak into his face.
"Even if she stole them, I can't just-"
A spattering of rain splashed in his face and he had to take his helmet off to be able to see past his mess of hair.
"Take them from her, that's not some justification for-"
A sudden gust and enough time in the rain, and the cardboard sign dissolved under it's own weight, the jar of sand tipped over and the table collapsed. At that point he didn't even bother to pick up the jar, or his helmet that had been on the table but were now rolling across the floor. Instead, he just hefted his shield, and spinning around, let it fly for Petal's torso. Depending on the effect, he would attempt to take the keys from her.
Meanwhile, through the hustle and bustle of the street (which was probably steering clear of the area the fight was taking place in), a fellow was standing a bit closer to the scene than probably most other people. With a motorcycle helmet on though, along with a white leather jacket and jeans, it would be impossible to discern his reasoning. He merely seemed content to watch for now.

"Ah!" Briar's eyes flew open as he woke up. "Oh... no... did I do that...? I'm so... so sorry... or... I guess I'm not... I was tricked, wasn't I..."
He took his spindle in hand and started to inspect the thread he had made. He scratched his hand at the mix of gray, red and brown, perhaps wondering what he was to do with all of it.
"Fine!" Narthan shouted. "I'll go! You've won this one, Renanscence! I'm out! ACK!"
Jupiter smacked Susano-san so hard that he went flying across the room. The mosquito man hit Narthan directly in the face, sending the both of them tumbling across the ground. Narthan grabbed Susano-san quickly and took off in a sprint, nearly falling over his stripped clothing. If any in Renanscence listened closely, they could hear a tiny mosquito scream of rage.
Meanwhile, Rooster ran right up to Asmoday. She looked up at her face and then down at the jar of red sand in her hands. Her beak-like nose twitched.
"What are you waiting for? Go wake her up!"
---
"That's right!" Pink Petal proclaimed after Alden's objection. "These are my keys!"
Unlosing them from her neck, she held the two keys up high in a show of power and dominance. However, this action cost her the very things she was trying to protect.
Alden's shield hit Pink Petal square in the stomach. The keys went flying out of her hands and into the air, twirling in the stormy breeze. She went to grab them but tripped over Alden's helmet and onto the ground.
It was anyone's game to try and grab the keys now.

Cinder was so shocked by Elrond's gift that she nearly dropped it. Her whole body trembled. She couldn't believe his generiosity, especially since she had just betrayed him and her friends.
"Elrond," she muttered, choking through her tears. "I cannot ever thank you enough."
Taking off in a graceful run, her glass slippers clicked against ground. She ran toward the guild and waved back at Elrond with a sad smile.
"I will see you soon!"

Following the trail of the cloaked figure, Elrond would come upon a ceremony held in the town square. This was the ceremony Renanscence was supposed to take part in, demonstrating their amazing abilities to the town and receiving an award for taking out Atrum.
The crowd was silent and utterly confused by the lack of anyone on stage. The only person really enjoying themselves was the mayor, whose face was beaming.
"Isn't this wonderful?" she said, extending her hand to nothing. "Asmoday is just one of the many people we have to thank for riding us of the corruption of the dark guild!"
The mayor was still under Asmoday's illusion spell, thinking that Asmoday was putting on a performance on behalf of the guild. In reality, nothing at all was going on.
But then the cloaked figure walked onto the stage. Baffled, the mayor went to touch them.
"Excuse me, we're in the middle of a performance."
In response, the figure drew a jagged knife. The crowd gasped and stepped back from the stage. The mayor understandably backed off as well.
The hood fell from the figure's face, revealing it to be a stunningly beautiful woman. She looked dazed and confused, but strangely happy. Her full lips were curled into a content smile.
"Death to humans!" she shouted as she brought the knife to her neck.
She was going to slit her throat then and there.
