Let's play RISK (kinda) on Mangablast!
How to Play:
This is a 4 player game. First come first serve. The goal is to take your kingdom, expand it, and control all other kingdoms by wiping them out in battle.
First you choose one of the quadrants to become your home kingdom. Your capital is where you start the game, which is the colored sector.
At the beginning of your turn you choose one of your sectors you currently control. You can do two things with that sector: Move or Attack.
To move, you roll dice by typing in [roll.] (without the .). The number you roll will let you expand to any sectors touching your current one. For example, if you roll a 3, you can expand to 3 sectors that touch your current sector.
To attack, there must be an enemy sector touching one of your controlled sectors. You roll dice to get your number. During the opponents next turn, before they move or attack, they will have to defend their sector by rolling as well. If the attacker's number is higher than the defenders number, the attacker takes control of the sector. If not, nothing changes. If you have multiple sectors touching the enemy sector you want to attack, you roll a separate die for each of your sectors attacking. The enemy then rolls separate die to defend against each one. If the defender's roll is lower than any of the attacker's roll, then the attack takes control of the area. If not, nothing changes.
You are only allowed to attack one enemy sector per turn, but you can attack with all your sectors that are touching the enemy sector. You roll a die for each sector that is attacking the enemy. The enemy, during his next turn, rolls countering die for each against him. If any of the die rolled by the attacker is larger than the matching one by the defender, the sector is taken over. If not, nothing changes.
Finally, the one exception is that your capital is able to roll two dice, but only for defense against an attack.
Special Conditions:
You may move through by water only where the lines connect one sector to another. It takes 2 turns to move from one sector to another by water (the turn you declare the move and the next turn. You may still move a separate sector during the second turn). You do not roll when you want to move by water. You only expand into the open sector after 2 turns.
Each starting territory has special conditions based on the quadrant they claim.
Snow Quadrant: If you claim the purple sector in the top left, all enemy sectors that enter your quadrant has his dice rolls cut in half for moving (not attacking). Ultimate Skill (1 use per game): No enemy sectors in your quadrant can move or attack for the next 3 turns.
Sea Quadrant: If you claim the light blue sector in the bottom left, traveling across water happens instantly (you don't have to wait 2 turns). This works in every Quadrant. You are also able to travel from any sector on the coast to any other sector on the coast instantly, but only in your own Quadrant. In any other, you may only travel by water on the sectors connected with the black lines. Ultimate Skill (1 use per game): You may move 3 of your sectors that are on the coast to any other spot on the map that is on the coast, no matter how far.
Forest Quadrant: If you claim the green sector in the top right, you gain the ability to move two sectors in one turn as long as the sector you move to does not cause you to be in contact with an enemy sector or the coast. This skill only works in the your Quadrant. Ultimate Skill (1 use per game): You can change your capital to any other spot in your Quadrant.
Sand Quadrant: If you claim the orange sector in the bottom right, you gain the ability to roll your dice a second time in any situation if you are not happy with the first outcome. This ability only works in your Quadrant. Ultimate Skill (1 use per game): You may destroy any 3 enemy sectors that are currently in your quadrant.
NOTES:
-If your kingdom takes over the capital of another kingdom, you gain the special conditions of that kingdom and also gain 1 use of that kingdom's Ultimate Skill.
-If your capital is taken over by another sector, you don't necessarily lose the game. You lose your Ultimate Skill (if you haven't used it yet) and all of your rolls are cut in half. You can regain your Ultimate Skill (if you haven't used it yet) and make your rolls count again by retaking your capital.
Final note: After your roll, I will repost the map with an update. All you have to do during your turn is name the sector you wish to use during your turn and say weather you move or attack and where you move and who you attack. If it helps to explain what you want to do during a turn, repost the map and using red show where you want to move or attack.
I've never done this before, so lets give it a try and have fun!
