Silver grabbed Lynwood's hand and gripped it much tighter than Kalen did. Coupled with the assistance of Kalen catching her and holding her up, she ended up in little danger since neither of her rescuers had to deal with all of her weight.
Thankfully, the ship seemed to go back into its rightful place. Slowly and steadily, the shattered windows became the wall and the wall became the floor. When everything was back to a perfect horizontal, Silver stood up and offered a helping hand to anyone getting up. She still seemed very shaken, panting for breath with sweat dripping from her face. She made a large, tired sigh. "T-thank you two...huff...for saving me." She took a few steps back, discomfort all over her face. "Huff...No one mentioned flying ships...or crashing flying ships...or falling out of crashing flying ships." Her breath was still ragged as she spoke; her voice quickly turned into a voice of concern as she looked between Kalen, Lynwood, and the broken windows. "But...huff...are...are you two alright?"
"It seems as if everyone but Jackal, Wolf, and Kara are unaccounted for. Is anyone wounded and does anyone know where the three aforementioned people are?"
The giant metal spider that was Hil came into the room per Mr. Dark's directions, but the boogeyman gave no order to turn back yet. For all they knew, the ship could take another drastic turn at any time. Sitting on his chair next to Kusu, not minding the inconvenience of her wings and silently pushing them away whenever they tried to hit him in the face, he wondered what this would do to Jackal's plan. It was obvious that Kara had somehow taken control of the ship for his own purposes, but just how badly would that affect things? Would the prince just turn around with a new toy in his possession or would he -
"Oh good, you're all alright! Now, before any of you question what is happening here, keep in mind that this is not my fault."
Jackal came down from the deck, generally looking to be in good condition despite almost falling to the ocean depths. He made a nervous chuckle and looked at everyone in front of him as he spoke with no trace of worry in his optimistic tone.
"It seems as if someone, most likely that infernal Karalisk, has taken ahold of the ship. It's not very surprising then that the ship had such piloting troubles; after all, what can you expect from a filthy savage, hm? Now, the most likely course of action is that he will turn this ship around and try to take it for himself. Since our mission is not time-sensitive, this is acceptable. Once we land somewhere, we can deal with this whole mess and ride on my other airship. For now, let us all simply wait and - Is that Wolf?"
His masked head jerked to one side, having caught something in the corner of his eye. Looking out the window, he saw something that must have been Wolf fly sporadically into the distance before eventually making it through the hole of the entrance.
"...Yes...Yes. Yes! This is excellent! It will cause even more havoc than I could have realized! I'm sure that I thought of this earlier but never bothered to think on it more, being preoccupied with other plans and all. Yes, this will do quite nicely. Well, it seems as if Karalisk is turning this ship around. Once we come back here, we will all proceed as planned."
Jackal turned to exit the room but yelled in surprise when the ship got a sudden increase in speed. The ship was going faster, faster, faster! It was speeding towards the entrance at a speed that couldn't possibly be safe. What was he thinking?! What was he thinking?!
"Hil, protect everyone! Everyone back away from the windows!"
It all turned into a blur.
The ship barely made it through the entrance and the tunnel in the wall it led to.
Metal skidded against metal and parts of the ship flew off.
The darkness of the tunnel was warded off by fire as the sparks from the metal flew.
The ship was breaking apart. And then...a light at the end of the tunnel.
There wasn't enough time to fully comprehend what they were seeing: Golden buildings that scraped the sky, silver spires all around, castles upon castles everywhere the towers were not, each of them a shining example of perfection.
The sky was a pure and flawless snow-white.
Glimpses of a metropolis of mind-boggling beauty and scale could be seen in the chaos.
The ground came closer and closer.
And then one immense flash of light.
