Beth laughed at Shroud Demon, though it was not to taunt or make fun of him. She seemed to really enjoy having his company around. It was almost needed in this solemn adventure. She was even more lucky now than Camellia and Finnegan were there, though she could not help but wonder if she was going to be worrying about them later.
As the bees rushed to take over Snake, she shrugged her shoulders and continued forward in fake ignorance. If Snake was ever to get where she was in the Grand Path, he would have to overcome worse than that. She was counting on him reaching her place. He had to if her plans were to work.
Beth watched in wonder as Kaede made her way onto the island. She was highly doubting Connor ever came here in the first place. Wouldn't he have mentioned something as amazing as this? But where else could he ever become a cyborg? It wasn't hard to believe this place existed after the many feats she had seen her husband do, but it was still incredible.
[Kaede!] Tomahawk's voice cracked. Beth blinked to see Kaede suddenly become shocked. She immediately attributed it as something from the island until the two strangers stepped forward.
She clambered onto Tomahawk's back and hugged onto the machine like a child. She analyzed the two and saw that they greatly conflicted with her imagined view of the people of the island. She pictured people with tuxedos and lovely dresses with LED-like lights plastered all over them and bright neon, goggle-glasses. This was just disappointing.
"Look," Beth said cautiously, "we're just visitors."
She tapped on Tomahawk's shoulder. She began increasingly fearful of Kaede's safety. She looked over at the man with the flame in his hand. It was an all too familiar sight. She prayed it wasn't what she thought it was.
"All we need to do is meet with a few people and we'll be out of your way. We mean no harm."
Tomahawk stepped forward onto the island.

Frowning in at the unpleasant surprise of bees erupting from a supply box, Snake didn't react beyond that. As the bees rushed forward, stingers aimed around his eyes, they would find their stingers bending and breaking as they attempted to pierce his skin. Tiny white scales of ethereal white light and vapor flared up over every spot of attack as the bees fell back, their lives and stingers spent.
Catching one last eager bee between his finger and thumb, Snake flicked it off into the ocean, watching it skip across the water's surface like a stone.
"Feh, who sends bees to an island in need?"
Disappointed, the Ravunyan prince got to his feet and caught up with the others, hopping lithely from box to box. Seeing Kaede light up with an electrical shock, Snake instantly rushed forward to stand besides Beth, a hand on the hilt of his saber, though he wisely chose not to draw it just yet.
"Hey, we're not looking to be staying here any longer than we have to. We just have some quick business to attend to, we won't be bothering you or anyone else fellas. How's about we put away all the fire and electricity, eh?"
Snake was attempting to be diplomatic, but if they refused to comply he had plenty of fire and electricity to give to them if they so desired.

"Wahh! Kite has been attacked!" Shroud Demon jumped back in a dramatic pose with his sword still raised and unsheathed. He quickly went into a battle stance and held his sword in front of him with two skinny hands. Shroud Demon couldn't tell just how similar the attackers were to him in terms of appearance; it seemed as if the bucket-headed crusader had come straight out of this supposedly futuristic city, although Shroud Demon had a much more impressive and large mane of unruly yellow hair that he had left untended over the years. He could not see the fire or electricity because of his bucket, and had only been able to tell that Kaede had been attacked because of what everyone was saying.
"Enemies?! Do not fear, Shroud Demon is here!" He slid his sword in between his back and the pan tied to it, and then made a large jump towards the island. He came down with a flying kick, which he aimed at one of the native terrorizers.

"All we need to do is meet with a few people and we'll be out of your way. We mean no harm."
"Visitors met with people before. That's what made this place the way it is now, and I'm sure they meant no harm either."
The two who showed up didn't seem at all understanding of the foreigners' plight, moving closer to the edge of the island now. Rather than simply standing their ground now, it looked like they would forcibly remove the outsiders if there was a need to do so. Without warning the burning one tossed a couple of fireballs towards the group back down on the water and the containers. It seemed that they were at least not initially intended to damage or harm, as they just landed around the general area (floating on the water even) and greatly illuminated the place. Like a number of flares, it seemed they just wanted to see what they were up against.
"Hey, we're not looking to be staying here any longer than we have to. We just have some quick business to attend to, we won't be bothering you or anyone else fellas. How's about we put away all the fire and electricity, eh?"
"Sound same as woman on machine. Not for entering, not for attend business."
"Not like we can put it away regardless. These aren't swords or guns, this is who we are."
There was some hesitation in them when the Connorhawk was sighted clearly, and with some worry they looked towards one another. This was only until Snake spoke up however, at which point they now neared the rest of them. As if to drive home his point, the electrical one attempted to draw in all the bolts arcing off himself and quell the ability altogether. After a few seconds of seeming normal however, an even stronger force of lightning burst forth from his person, clearly out of his control as he yelled in response. Clenching his hands into fists and concentrating, electricity seemed to pour from his body to the environment around him, twisting and melting the scrap metal and trash beneath before he returned to a more stable state when only small sparks shot off every now and then. The fire wielder had been expecting this it seemed, and had placed some distance between him and his partner before the whole display.
Kaede meanwhile, if not jarred back to clarity by now, was done so by the electric display. Shaking her head and jumping to her feet, she immediately went for her staff, her first response in most any situation. When she saw the extent of what this person (and people, assuming the fire-wielder was in a similar state) was capable of though, she lowered her staff as if to match her jaw dropping behind the surgical mask. It seemed she would need her bag now instead of her staff, for these sorts of threats.
"Well... well what if we put on protective clothing or something? I mean there must be something we can do to pass through just fine? What if we just waited here and you relayed a message to-"
"Enemies?! Do not fear, Shroud Demon is here!"
It had been her intent to defuse the situation with alternatives, but Shroud Demon provided the only alternative that mattered now; his foot. After he jumped, when he reached the island close enough, he would feel the pull of gravity and begin to fall towards it just like the rest of the world. Only, here the ground was slanted at almost a right angle to the actual earth. The inhabitants were in no way caught off-guard by the hero of justice however, and each responded accordingly. The fire-wielder punched his fists together creating a bursting fire sphere around him, while the other fellow merely drew his foot across the ground in a semi-circular fashion which created a column of lightning blasting upwards from the traced path. Depending on who Shroud Demon was targeting, would determine what he would have to get through for his attack to connect.
As an aside, if anyone cared to notice, some other shapes began to stir back at the start of the city and buildings, across this patch of scrap and debris. It seemed the goings on between the outsiders and the two natives in their way had not gone unnoticed, and now more people were beginning to show up. More people of radically different backgrounds, races and cultures, though all of them seeming to have some sort of elemental affliction and dressed in a mixture of tattered clothes and trash.

Seeing the fireballs spread from one of the natives to land like torches on the water, Snake stared at Connorhawk with an incriminating look in his eyes that seemed to scream, Did you do this?
Looking back at the other native's display of attempting to control the lightning that seemed to course naturally off of his body, Snake raised an eyebrow at the odd spectacle.
"Exactly what happened he- Damn it!"
Before he could finish his question, Shroud Demon had launched himself at the two standing on the island. Seeing the imminent danger that the young bucket-head was approaching, Snake himself sprung into action, tensing and shooting off the ground himself and allowing the odd gravity of the island to drag him towards it.
Loosening Luis from around his waist, Snake lashed the whip forward, aiming to snare Shroud around the waist or wrist and just jerk him back and away from the double threat whilst speeding himself up. Of course he could have easily have missed or Shroud could just avoid the whip if he so chose.
Regardless, as Snake sped towards the bursting sphere of fire and the column of lightning, he grinned as he murmured a command. Luis transitioned into his hybrid state, gaining perhaps double or even triple his normal length as a whip and becoming sentient. Holding his arms in front of him, Luis coiled around his limbs and began to rotate rapidly. What was odd that, whereas in his previous displays of his technique he only used one arm, or his whole body, Snake seemed to be effectively splitting his body between two separate techniques.
"Friction Fer-de-lance..."
Simultaneously, an extreme heat aura flared into existence around Snake's body, while a screaming intense charge of blue electricity lit him up.
"Static Sidewinder."
Gritting his teeth against the strain of having both techniques active on his body, Snake sped like an odd fiery electric missile at the two individuals. As the lightning and fire collided with his body, Snake managed to ward off most of the damaging effects, somewhat melding with the two elements even as he approached the two elemental benders. Shooting both his arms forward he aimed to catch them by the throat and slam them to the ground, one arm glowing blue and sparking terribly, while the other glowed an intense red and was starting up small fires on any flammable surface nearby.
"Forgive our friend, he's a bit overeager. But won't you just let us pass? We'll be quite fine, and I assure you the rest of your friends on this island need not come anywhere near us."

Tomahawk stood firmly as the fire wielder scattered small flames about them. Its head tilted slightly, as though realizing something. Of course, Snake wouldn't have been able to see this, given the machine had no face.
Beth meanwhile tried not to look at the sky. She was feeling incredibly dizzy, situated at an angle. In a brief moment, she wondered how Finnegan and Camellia were doing in their own circumstance. Could you feel ill, even as tea? This different gravity thing was new to her. She tried to feel sympathetic toward the people's plight but couldn't in her own sickness.
She nearly barfed when Shroud Demon jumped into an attack. The way he flew through the air made her eyes roll in their sockets. She wanted to shout out profanities at the unlikely hero but focused on her churning stomach.
Tomahawk shook its head slowly at the elemental user's responses and whispered to Beth.
The machine's tone was unclear. Connor's voice was only barely unrecognizable in the automation but even more so now. It was almost as though the machine had been reading off a list of operations.
"Then what is it?" Beth whispered back, wondering if she should even dare trying to absorb any energy from these people.
Connor's unsure voice leaked through.
With another tap by Beth, Tomahawk carried on forward. It only took a few steps, as to not seem threatening.
"Snake, let them go," she ordered. "I'm liking what Kaede said a lot better than trying to force ourselves through here."
The entrepreneur slowly climbed down from the top of Tomahawk. She noticed things seemed to be a little easier on her own two feet. She patted her patched clothes and looked up at the people approaching them. She motioned to the machine next to her as she spoke.
"I'm sorry about what's happened here," she said. "I really am. But is there anyway we could look into replacing my husband's... er... cyborg body? I understand you're probably in a lot of pain with whatever happened here but we're also in a bad circumstance."
Beth felt like she was lying through her teeth. Even though it was the truth, she still felt horrible about not revealing Connor's abilities. What if they really were the cause behind everything that happened here? She prayed they weren't.

With an oof, Shroud Demon was caught by Snake's whip and jerked back right before he could be shocked by the tower of lightning that had literally popped up in front of him, narrowly missing his bucket by a few inches. After feeling something really weird in his stomach due to the gravity, he was back where the other heroes were and fell to the ground on his back. He groaned a bit and sat up, confused.
"...Wow. I see I am fighting wizards! Your magic is no match for the power of justice!" He quickly went back to his loud self and stood up, but someone else started talking before he could continue speaking his truths. It was Snake, and then Beth.
"..."
Had he messed up again?
"...I am sorry for my foolish acts, respectable wizards, great magic-folk. I have acted rashly and have dishonored goodwill by doing so. For that, I am sorry, so please do not let my friends suffer for my mistake. Please let them pass, just for today - er, tonight!"
He had still sounded overly dramatic while apologizing, but at least seemed genuinely sorrowful, especially when he was pleading at the end and was now on one knee, his head lowered to complete the humbled gesture.

"Agh! The ground! It's... it's all different! I'm gonna spill! Finnegan! Hold me up right!"
"No need to worry, miss. This is simply a change in gravity. Quite common in some parts of the world."
"Oooooh. Wow!" she gazed down with fasination at the ground below her, and then back up at the sky, and finally back at the shipping crates. Her reaction was much different from Beth's, as she didn't have any adverse reaction to the shift at all, apart from her initial panic.
Camellia and Finnegan watched quietly as the conflict with the fire and lightning men unfolded. Camellia's eyes twinkled with wonder at every threat of action or demonstration of superhuman powers, while Finnegan, as always, frowned with disapproval.
"Never a peaceful moment with this group, is there? Really, is all this violence truly necessary around such a small girl?"
"What small girl?" her head still poking above the edge of the cup, she glared straight at her butler, the tea turning a deep shade of red and simmering moodily.
"Uh, you must excuse me, miss, I, ehm, thought I saw a, er, small girl around here. Must have just been a trick of the light."
"Oh. Well, think better next time." She turned her attention away from her servant and back at the fight between Shroud Demon and Snake against the two natives. For a while, she almost forgot that she had come to this island with a specific task in mind, and was caught up in the antics of her new group, but as Beth began to speak, she seemed to snap back into reality. When a possible break in the action presented itself, she shook off her expression of amazement, and tried to act as calm and ladylike as possible, which was a bit hard when she was confined to a teacup.
"Uh, Mr. Flaming and Mr. Voltage," she began, speaking in a clear, polite voice that sounded an awful lot like Finnegan's usual tone, "You mentioned something about visitors before. They didn't happen to be an older man and woman, did they? Are they still here? I'm looking for two people who fit that description, and while I understand you not wanting anyone to pass, I would be very grateful if you would help. Just some information would be great."

"Forgive our friend, he's a bit overeager. But won't you just let us pass? We'll be quite fine, and I assure you the rest of your friends on this island need not come anywhere near us."
"Not any more overeager than yourself."
When Snake shot towards the pair of locals, they weren't exactly sure how to respond. It seemed he wanted to just grab the both of them, however since the electrician's display they had already moved farther apart than even a Longarm could reach with both hands. They didn't want to be rude however, and so the fire wielder moved closer so that the outsiders attack could at least be possible.
Not that that meant it would be successful. When Snake neared, the electrician drew all his power in and ducked low in a spin, in an attempt to deliver a sweep kick. The intent was to unleash his energy in a sudden burst when he hit snake, and simply direct him towards the fire fellow whom was waiting to deliver a punch with similar stored up fire energy. Whether or not their attacks connected or even had an effect, they wouldn't be so easily grabbed and knocked down.
"I'm sorry about what's happened here, I really am. But is there anyway we could look into replacing our husband's... er... cyborg body? I understand you're probably in a lot of pain with whatever happened here but we're also in a bad circumstance."
"Wait, what did you say?"
"Citeboard? Which for is citeboard?!"
Regardless of whose attacks worked or connected, both the elemental wielders stopped dead and looked towards Beth. Something of what she said resounded with them, and it was clearly not her sympathy, in the same way that Shroud Demon's apology didn't count for much with them. Immediately they began to look around to the different people there with much scrutiny. Eventually the looked at one another, shrugged, and attempted to give their best guess a go.
"This one? Is this the one marry?" Both of them pointed to Snake who was the closest, and whom the both guessed to be a cyborg.
"I mean, we don't judge here. Polygamy is fine I guess. There's definitely worse things."
By now some of the other natives started to reach the immediate area, and yet still more gathered behind. The two to show up were a man who looked to perpetually have water pouring off of him, and a rather big woman who looked more like a statue than a person, her stone skin cracking and shifting and occasionally falling off only to reform moments later (giving the impression that her large form was really just a rock shell). As with the others, it looked like at a time the two of them had some pretty top-notch clothes but that time was long past and now they had only trash to pick up the slack.
"You mentioned something about visitors before. They didn't happen to be an older man and woman, did they? Are they still here? I'm looking for two people who fit that description, and while I understand you not wanting anyone to pass, I would be very grateful if you would help. Just some information would be great."
"Do you have any idea how little that description narrows it down?"
The woman tried to say something as well and clearly went through the motions, however only the sound of smashing stones emanated from her mouth. These two, seeing how the electrician and the fire-wielder were responding, did not act with hostility towards the others right out of the starting gate. They were clearly leery of them however and did not get as close as the first two.

Citeboard? Beth immediately face-faulted. These guys were as clueless about the situation at hand as Shroud Demon was! If they really lived in Seven Gates, shouldn't they have known about flying cars, teleportation and most importantly cyborgs? She was so confused and practically lost, trying to understand what was going on with these people.
"Polygamy?" she asked. She immediately assumed they meant she herself had multiple husbands.
For a brief moment, she imagined Connor and Snake.
"Damn, that's sexy," she smiled with her hands on her hips.
Tomahawk's head turned to her quicker than she had ever seen it turn before. Even without its faceplate, she could sense the fear and frustration radiating off of it.
"I mean, nothing," Beth said jokingly with a wave of her hand.
She listened carefully to Camellia's question. She didn't know much about hers or Finnegan's situation but she could infer they probably came here to look for these people in particular. She felt almost sorrowful when they couldn't give her a clear answer.
"So, what's wrong with you guys? How did these... visitors make you all "sick?" Who were they? Maybe there's something we can do to help you in exchange for letting us through. Oh, maybe introductions are in order. I'm Beth Anderson and this is Connor."
She motioned to Tomohawk standing next to her who only raised its hand.
"That's Snake Havey," she continued, waving her hand to the green haired rebel.
"And Shroud Demon," she pointed to the helmet wearer. "Don't worry. He's nice when you get to know him. There's Kaede here, who you kind of shocked there and..."
Beth paused and blinked at Finnegan and Camellia.
"And... that's Ian and his tea cup, Kalendra. I think."
Meanwhile, Tomahawk looked up silently at the woman seemingly made from stone. It seemed to identify with her, not being able to communicate on a certain level.

Hearing the introductions, the statue lady answered Beth's complex question with a rather lengthy and explanatory monologue of her own. She went on about the past year or so and what had happened since the last visitors had come and gone. As well she detailed just how it was that this once safe haven and future paradise became a prison, in more ways than one. It was all highly informative, perhaps even too much and at several points some of the other natives tried to stop her from giving out too much, but when she got to the sad points in the story they were too affected by it to do anything. It really was a tragic account, although it surely answered everything Beth had asked, or anyone else there would want to know. And not just about the island either, she seemed like quite an intelligent person and probably even divulged a few life lessons and well-sought after secrets, such as the answer to eternal youth and happiness as well as the true nature of One Piece.
To the outsiders though it probably sounded like a whole lot of cracking and banging of rock and stone. The water fellow nodded in agreement however.
"That's all well and good that we know your names now, but that doesn't really help us beyond knowing what to put on your coffins as we send you back out on the blue sea. I guess it couldn't hurt to at least be civil though... my name is-"
"Na se! For said one is citeboard! Which is?!"
"Cyborg. He's asking which one is the cyborg?"
The water wielder was cut off by the fireman who was still occupied with something from before, and he didn't want to let the conversation move beyond that lest it get lost. As much as him and the statuesque lady may or may not have been on the right track, there were more important things at hand than introductions and formality. The fireman wasn't the only one thinking this either, as the electrician also seemed to be of the same mindset, singularly focused on what had been said before.
"Connor, she said..."
A very soft voice sounded from all around them. To the natives, this may as well have been natural and they did not respond any differently, other than seemingly to the words being spoke to which they all became very serious all of a sudden and all turned to look at Beth. To everyone else though it would sound like someone was whispering right in their ears, and it came from practically everywhere around them. For Connorhawk it was part of the hardware, but anyone who had exceptional sensing capabilities would notice something emanating from the air itself, and before long they would be able to see it well enough.
"But this can't really be him, the source of the suffering."
Like a fading mirage, a hazy breeze began to give way to something of a spectral figure resting on Connorhawk's shoulder. The whispering voice had been that of a lady's and the figure would appear that way too, but it was altogether hard to make her out, let alone identifying her. Even looking directly, she just appeared like a ghostly visage of a person, only translucent lines and and indistinct shapes that gave the impression of a human body. Like a reflection in a window, staring too hard and one would find themselves simply focusing on the ocean and floating cargo containers on it, directly behind her and Connorhawk given the odd angle of which they stood upon the slope of the island.
"Beth... please be careful about what you say next..."
Kaede, whom had largely been ignored up until this point (which was fine because she liked being ignored) despite being electrocuted pretty badly, held onto her bag pretty tightly now and started to back away towards the ocean behind. She didn't like these people and what they were, she didn't like that there were so many of them showing up now, and she definitely didn't like what they were saying. Had it been the fireman or the electrician only she might have acted differently. But it seemed like this place really was still populated, and by monsters no less. She was putting her faith in Beth and Connor now, but she at least felt secure in knowing she could trust them.

Eyes widening slightly in surprise as the two elemental natives found the time and speed to counter-attack, Snake could only grit his teeth and bring up his arms in an attempt to defend against the first spin kick from the electrician. It slid underneath his guard and took the prince straight in the gut, sending him rocket back straight into being punched in the back by the fire man.
Pulling his saber free from its sheath, Snake stabbed it into the ground, slowing his travel and eventually bringing him to a complete stop as he came up on one knee, panting heavily. Smoke poured from his back and abdomen, as well as from his mouth as it seemed his own reckless maneuvers and the two strong blows he had just taken seemed to be taking their toll.
After a seconds rest, the Ravunyan Prince stood up again with a cruel smile, eager to begin the bout again. Noticeably one would see he stood with a slight hunch, maybe favoring his wounds while he was trying not to show it. White mist streamed off the two wounds on his body as his broken scales evaporated.
"Seems like you two have some good fight in you...let's try that again."
Snake seemed more than ready to continue the fight, seeming excited by the prospect of the challenge despite his already wounded state. Beth however, managed to bring the battle-hungry prince to a pause as he warily looked around and saw the many strange inhabitants of the island gathering around the newcomers. Nodding slightly to Beth he sheathed his saber and stood there warily as the conversation took place.
Snickering slightly at the jest of polygamy, Snake wisely chose to remain silent as he looked at Beth, waiting on her next words as it seemed their entire situation rode on them.

Beth smiled with puffed out cheeks at the statue lady. She had noooooooooo idea what she was talking about but nodded and blinked to show she was at least trying to listen.
She paused when they brought up the "citeboard" topic again. She was about to answer when the voice began. She actually winced and covered her ears, frightened of the unknown individual. She looked to Shroud Demon, Snake and "Ian" and "Kalendra" to see if they were hearing the same thing.
Tomohawk froze up as the woman rested on its shoulder. A timid, fearful voice trembled from the robot.
it said. [You all can see her too, right?]
"Yeah," Beth whispered. Though at that point she couldn't see her from looking too long at her form.
She hesitated to answer the ghostly woman and wish she could see any hint of comprehension in Tomohawk's nonexistent face. Kaede was right. She had to be careful. But this was too strange. First, Connor and this friend's actions destroyed Clockwork Island. Now they destroyed this place. She couldn't believe it, but she had to understand.
"What did Connor do here?" she asked carefully. "You claim this person is the source of your suffering. How could that be?"

"Wait, what? Who's there? Right in my ear? Is someone under my bucket with me? That's only supposed to be for special people..." The Shroud Demon turned this way and that when the airy voice suddenly spoke. Ever since he had apologized, he had simply listened to what everyone was saying and had tried his best to not further muddle whatever was happening. Apparently, there were a lot of new people now and they all had superpowers. It was all very exciting.
At Beth's most recent question, Shroud Demon spoke up. "Uh...I don't think he's a kind of person who could have done something so bad. Maybe it was an accident? Maybe he fired a missile at a tower or something or exploded the engine rooms or covered the island with sick air or something like that...On accident, of course." Judging from his tone of voice, he didn't seem to realize at all the implications of what he was saying.

"What did Connor do here? You claim this person is the source of your suffering. How could that be?"
"It was a Connor that came here that time ago. Left his body for something else, and left the sickness with it."
The windy figure didn't get off of the robot, instead she merely leaned left and right to examine the robot itself. Particularly the "head" area, as though she might be able to figure something out about the supposed inhabitant. Of course this was all relative, and it was questionable if the other people there would even be able to clearly make her out let alone see what she was doing. Kaede didn't bother trying and instead tried to focus on the words. Of course she knew the general gist of the story, but there were still things she was learning about it all. Like the apparent plague coming from Connor originally?
"Sickness? She said Connor was sick at the time? What's that supposed to mean, sick with what?"
"Uh...I don't think he's a kind of person who could have done something so bad. Maybe it was an accident? Maybe he fired a missile at a tower or something or exploded the engine rooms or covered the island with sick air or something like that...On accident, of course."
"That's the point, it probably was an accident, but it was an accident that destroyed our lives. He probably came here and thought nothing of leaving behind what he brought, never stopped to consider that maybe what he was doing might have consequences."
The fellow who perpetually looked soaking wet seemed to be the most vocal out of the lot, or at least the most willing to engage in conversation with the outsiders. The statuesque lady with him spoke up alongside, but again her words were probably lost in the grinding and clashing of stone. Like the others, they seemed to be angry about the whole subject, even if they hadn't and weren't yet as ready to attack the strangers. But they weren't about to just let them waltz into the city either, especially not if the robot being had something to do with the reason behind all their afflictions.
The electrician at least, spoke out loud what some of them were thinking. Kaede even, as guilty as she felt to admit it, also wondered towards the validity of what he said.
"Or maybe... maybe it was intentional. Knew there was something wrong with him, didn't want it no longer... got rid of it and left it here."
At this, most of the natives that had gathered there seemed to bristle at the notion, and looked all the more ready to fight and repel these invaders. The only one who did not it seemed, assuming anyone could even tell the difference, was the aerial girl reclining on the Tomahawk chassis. He voice trailed towards those there just as before, sounding like she was speaking to them only inches away.
"What, exactly, is it that you came here for? What is it that you want to do? Because it can't be to replace your husband's cyborg body. From what I can tell this is just a robot."
Kaede welcomed this line of questioning and felt it was a step in the right direction, and although she would have spoken up on the matter, she felt that as before this was really more Beth's or Connor's place to answer the questions. They pertained to them more than anyone else after all, and she didn't want to mess anything up due to not knowing all the details. Now that there, was something she didn't like, not knowing everything.
