Matthew responded to Jack's proposition, running up to him with his bandanna neatly covering his trademark scar. Rizzo had turned back into an adorable rat and positioned himself on Matthew's shoulder.
Looking up hesitantly, the former Noble frowned at the prospect of using a bubble for transport.
"Take us with you, at least until you get to the next island. If treasure's what you're after, I have a few tidbits about some places you can target for quick money. You did us a favor and as much as I hate to say it, we should probably help you too."
"What my brother's trying to say is 'Thank you!'" Rizzo squeaked as his tail swished.
Matthew held his hand out for Jack to take it.
"From now on, I'm Ron Guer. I suppose I should call you Captain Jack."

"That could prove difficult, finding a ship," Arnell said, agreeing with the pair who they had nearly done battle with. He stood by and watched as Jack did his thing with the bubble, and could not help but laugh at the antics of this acquaintance of his. The brown-skinned man stepped forward and was about to hop on the bubble, but stopped.
"Take us with you..."
"Afraid I'll be taking a different path, Jack. See you on the seas."
The man with the hood of a wolf's head pulled it up and over his head and turned away. He knew Rizzo and Ron would have a difficult time without at least Jack there to help them escape, but Arnell, personally, could never forgive a noble -- former or otherwise -- for simply existing. His form grew larger, and his arms dropped down onto the ground as he took on his full Salamander form.
"Maybe I'll make a good enough distraction for you to get away,"
Arnell grinned and leaped up above the pirate hunting pair and off into Jaya, and towards the docks! It was time to find a small ship, and cause some trouble. A huge salamander rampantly leaping about and sprinting through the streets of Jaya was sure to garner some attention.

Rioul watched the man pull out his chunk of bubble and start to float up before anchoring himself down. The only thing that he could think the whole time was how terrible it would be if the bubble burst. Shuddering at the prospect RIoul noticed that one of the group he had stumbled upon was taking off down the street towards the docks. "Hey, I'm coming with you," Rioul called out as he took off after the salamander man, "I need to get off this island before I go stir crazy, and there's no way I'm floating off on some bubble." Grunting with the weight of the load on his back Rioul called out, "You mind slowing up a bit, These streets are a little narrow for me to keep up with an animal."

"Wait a minute. So you're telling me, that right now, every marine on the island, and in the surrounding area, are all waiting, to get on board ONE ship."
"Like, no dweeb. Not on it, seeing it. It's a shindig... a ceremony."
One of the few times she had to reiterate what she said, and she had to stop and think for a moment as to what would be the equivalent form of speech for what she was saying, that they would understand. It didn't seem to matter much though because already the pirates seemed to have some plan of action now. Whether it was flying off in bubbles or simply fleeing the scene, they had at least, left the privateers alone.
The fellow in particular, stretched his neck now that he was free to move with being held in a choke.
"As the seagull soars. They won't be happy the pirates got away. If the should escape..."
"Like, who cares? If we can find the noble, then it won't even factor."
Hoisting his surfboard, he turned towards what was left of the burning building, figuring it was a good place to start looking for leads. The girl on the other hand busied herself with collecting up the array of plush white cannonball-looking objects strewn about.
---
"Thanks be for that chance, now maybe I can get away and- OUCH!"
While trying to make his way through the streets of Jaya, he was promptly run over by a large salamander monster. A young fellow by the look of it, with curly black hair and tanned skin, wearing a green and white hoodie and khaki cargo pants. Having collided with Arnell, he was knocked off his feet and looked rather dizzy for a few moments before regaining some degree of clarity.
"S-Sorry man, but I gotta' get out of here. Those marines are after me!"
He looked rather panicked, and made for his feet hastily, but before he could continue on his way there sounded the approach of many boots and guns.
"Halt, you there! You are all currently fall under the jurisdiction of a Vice Admiral of the Navy. For the purpose of locating a world noble, you are wanted for questioning. Submit now and come quietly, or we will be forced to take action."
It sounded painfully read off, and the lieutenant may as well have been holding a script, but rules were rules. Once that was out of the way, the marines began to fan out as they approached from a side street. There were about six in total, at the moment, but they looked prepared and had their weapons ready. As of yet though, they were not in a firing position or waiting with their weapons drawn, simply they were moving into position while the lieutenant remained to stand opposed to the pirates and give orders.
All the while visible in the background, one of the marines remained back, even behind the lieutenant. He was busy keeping order among a couple of rowdy locals whom had likely been rounded up for the same purpose that the newcomers now were. There were about four of them, civilians forcibly gathered, and it was obvious that some of them were pirates from their appearance and the way they were acting. At least for the time being though the marines didn't seem to care and just treated them like any citizen, perhaps why anyone was going along with this in the first place, because it was more trouble than it was worth to resist.
"Ah damn! The game's up, they've found me! What to do, what to do..."
The stranger subject to collision with the salamander looked quite worried and was hastily trying to think of a way to avoid confrontation.

Jack smiled and nodded to Ron and Rizzo then turned to Arnell as he took off. "If you want to run on your own I wont stop you. But there's a place for you on my ship if you ever need it Arnell. You can be sure we'll meet again. On this sea... all roads lead to Raftel!" He watched him run off for a moment before looking up and releasing him grip on the ground beneath him. "It's best I have a free hand available, so grab onto my legs!" He said to Ron He gave another "Saahahaha" as the large bubble in his hand pulled him slowly upward into the air, floating toward the harbor along the side of the giant one still encasing the burning building. The smoke from the fire had become trapped at the top, turning the entire upper portion of the bubble dome a wispy black. With his other hand Jack reached out and pulled a smaller bubble off the top of the dome, this one filled with the thick black smoke. He sailed further upward, the harbor coming into view over the treeline, finally giving him a look at the new ship everyone was talking about.

Ron turned when he heard Arnell speak. He could practically feel his frustration and anger toward him. Despite his rightful hatred, he didn't attack him as he had before. He couldn't ever see him being friends with him, or even liking him, but he had to respect him.
"Thank you," he said with grinding restraint. Rizzo tilted his rat head from atop his brother's shoulder. It was surprising to hear his brother thank Arnell, who he obviously hated.
The newly proclaimed rogue knelt down and clutched onto Jack's legs and yelped when they began to soar through the air.
"What did we get into, Rizzo?" he asked, his eyes spinning.
"I don't know but it's so cool! Jack, you're amazing! Squeak!"

"Your funeral, pal. Name's Arnell," said the Salamander man as he bounded from street to street, only slowing down to make sure that the man who had wished to follow him wasn't lagging too far behind. In his full beast form he was quite fast, though this was mostly due to his own rigorous training to make himself stronger and quicker. A salamander on its own wasn't quite the fastest or the strongest thing after all. Arnell thought they might get scot-free out of this mess until practically trampling a man beneath him, who had an awful thing to say.
When the man was done speaking, and the marines surrounded the group, Arnell bared his teeth at them, crouching down into an offensive stance.
"I don't suppose you planned on leaving on a prison ship," quipped Arnell, who was unsure of what to do next. He had to create a distraction for the folks on the bubble, if they needed one. Certainly no one would be looking up if all of the action was down on the streets. So, the big Salamander leaped upon the nearest marine, not quite trying to maul him, but at least knock him out.
"Because that's the way we'll probably be leaving!"

"When it rains it sure does pour," Rioul muttered to himself as he slows to a stop inside of the ring of marines. Breathing heavily he slumped his shoulder and doubled over, "You need to slow down lizard man, its hard to keep up with you when you're moving like that"
Wiping his brow free of sweat Rioul stood back up and finally took in his surroundings. "Oooh, that;s why we stopped..." Rioul said, spinning in a slow circle to look at the half dozen marines surrounding them. "Well, we're kind of in a hurry, do you think we could.." Rioul cut off as the salamander man dove on the nearest marine. "There goes diplomacy," Rioul said, throwing his hands up in the air. Shifting and growing larger and larger still. The surrounding marines step back from the large elephant standing in the circle they had formed.

"Oof! Argh, it's heavy!"
"Get off!"
With the salamander leaping, the subject marine was indeed landed on, though he was a bit more resilient than that to simply be knocked out. Trained for close-quarters combat to a fair degree, he attempted to bring his sword up in an attempt to cut at the salamanders legs. The idea was that if he could cut at the beast and cause an effect, it might give him a chance to struggle free. The next nearest marine saw his efforts, but didn't want to risk slicing at his comrade, so instead of attacking with his sword he went to kick hard at the side of the salamander. Again, hoping to simply get the beast off, though in the scuffle, chances were good the fellow might miss the kick altogether.
"Hey, this one has some weird ability!"
"Whoah, careful! He's huge!"
The other two marines focused their attention on the sudden appearance of the large elephant creature. Initially they might have put in some errant swings as they backed up, though the chances of these causing serious damage or even hitting were low since they were done in panic. Once they got a better footing though, they tried to figure out how to combat this new foe. One of them went for his rifle, though he avoided shooting it at the moment, until he knew he had a sure shot against the elephant-man. The other fellow lunged forward for a steady swing, but with not much force. The intent was to see if that was enough to cause harm to the beast, and then to hop back to safety.
"Gah- hey! They're... they're getting away!"
While this was happening though and the majority of the marines on the scene were distracted, the assorted group of civilians they were escorting decided to act. Pretty much they just banded together and overpowered the one guard who had remained behind to keep an eye on them. Pushing him to the ground, one of the bigger captives followed up and simply hurled the downed marine across the street. The fellow didn't seem to badly hurt and called out, but he was weaponless for the time being, meanwhile the small collection of locals he'd been guarding split up and bolted every which way.
The commanding officer of the small group in turn, didn't feel capable of handling the situation on his own. Maybe the new animalistic arriavals, or recapturing the other civilians, but not both. Taking a step back from the action, he rummaged in his jacket and pulled forth an odd-looking oversized orange pistol. Hoisting it skywards, he pulled the trigger and a signal flare shot into the night sky, playing a vibrant red light across the entire area.
Meanwhile, the friendly stranger that Arnell had collided with had moved roughly behind the salamander and the elephant men, still a bit too dizzy to just flee like the others. He noticed the flare go up though, and groaned in response.
"Well, that doesn't look good..."

Jack closed his hand around the smoky bubble, his grip condensing it down into a small black marble, then placed it in his coat pocket to have his left hand ready for any trouble. something caught his eye behind him and he turned to see the flare going up. He gave a small groan that was equal parts annoyance and worry. "Not good, we need their eyes on the ground." He looked out over the harbor, at the far end he could see it, his ship; The Red Ace. "There it is, we've got a clear shot. Now we just need a little... luck." he said, clenching his fist as he always did when waiting for his luck to kick in. As if on cue, a strong gust of wind picked up, blowing the bubble and them with it straight towards his ship and a huge grin spread across jack's face. "This is it, hang on!" he said as the three of them quickly flew out over the harbor.

Ron let out a terrified yell, kicking his legs as they soared through the air.
"You were relying on luck this whole time?!" he shouted in frustration. Rizzo squeaked in laughter, clutching onto his adorable tiny rat hat.
"That's the pirate's life, brother! It's all about luck!"

The "allies" that Arnell seemed to have gained the company of were too close for a salamander bomb to go off and not effect them, so he was thinking of a possible way to at least daze the marines without his signature poisonous move. It was at times like these that Arnell felt constricted by his Devil Fruit. For all his efforts, what techniques he devised were never quite strong enough on their own...
With the sword striking him at the leg, the great salamander beast cried out and with all his might, brought his frontal leg's appendage down upon the marine's head. With the kick, after he'd brought his hand down, he rolled off of the fallen marine and limped away, his three other legs able to keep up a proper speed. His zigzagging around would likely make a prediction of where his next attack would be difficult. The marine that kicked him however, was his next target. His great tail came up to thwack him across the face and then Arnell would move away once more, trying to keep moving despite his bleeding leg.
"Just a little big longer," muttered the fighter who took the form of a salamander, "Have to make sure Jack can get away."

Almost immediately after shifting to an elephant the bullet hit his leg, putting a bullet about an inch and a half into his hip, just below the skin. "Gah," Rioul belowed at the shooting pain, his leg twitching involuntarily, finding a little resistance. "What was that?" Rioul inquired as he turned around to see a man sprawled on the ground with his sword beside him, scrambling backwards.
"Oh, sorry. I didn't see you there," Rioul says to the man on the ground while shifting his weight on and off his leg to see if it was fine. "Oh, ah, maybe we should stop shooting people. The next one of you to point a gun at me will get to look down the barrel of my gun." Raising his trunk Rioul pulled the wrapping off of the cannon strapped to his back, dropping it to the side. "Maybe we can figure this out peaceably? Or at least as close as we can come with guns pointed at each other."

When the salamander brought down it's weight, the marine was soundly knocked out. The other one whom had kicked him wasn't so nearly caught off guard though, and once the beast was free of his fallen comrade, he moved to protect him. He didn't actively seek to attack Arnell, but instead simply went on full defensive. As such, he didn't try to swing or parry the attacks of the salamander, and instead he just brought his sword up to block by his head. There was nothing stopping Arnell's continued assault, but he would have a hard time if he kept hitting at the marine, when the fellow just kept acting to block and possibly cut the salamander in the process.
Meanwhile, the elephant produced quite a reaction, and at least for the moment the marines focused on him stood on guard rather than attacking. So far, these pirates had proved to be quite a challenge in their short time on the scene, so the navy forces were a bit more careful now about their approach towards them.
"Sir, how should we proceed?"
"Priority is to keep the targets occupied till backup arrives."
The officer on scene at least seemed to have his wits about him, well enough to assess the situation. He figured with the troops he had on scene, he wouldn't be able to defeat these pirates alone, but at least they could keep some of the others busy. The problem was, deciding which ones to keep busy since certainly they couldn't handle them all.
"Maybe we can figure this out peaceably? Or at least as close as we can come with guns pointed at each other."
"The peaceable solution would be to lay down arms. After that you could surrender if you want..."
Crashing from out of the alley, came one of the local pirates whom had seemingly escaped, beaten well enough that he obviously wouldn't be escaping anytime soon. Following not long after was a woman dragging another felled pirate along the ground. She was only about average in stature and seemed to have at least some difficulty dragging the fellow along, but when she caught up to the previous one who came crashing onto the scene, she brought her arm up to heft this other one and spiked him against the ground next to the other like a football. Dressed in white pants, a black tank top with a Dead Panda Society logo, and snakeskin shoes she didn't look much. It was the white coat with epaulets hanging on her shoulders and the kanji symbol for justice which made her stand out though, if not the championship belt around her waist.
"...but I've never fought an elephant or a... lizard? before."
Planting a steady foot atop one of the downed pirates, she re-affixed her marine insignia cap with one hand and kissed the knuckle duster on the other, giving a two-fingered salute. In response, the young fellow hanging by Arnell and Rioul fell over backwards.
"Oh dang... that's not good."

With the gust of wind pushing them along the airborne trio quickly made it across the harbor right past the navy ship, hopefully unnoticed. As they neared his ship Jack reached up and grabbed the bubble with his freehand as well and pulled it into two separate bubbles. He released one and as it flew upwards they quickly descended onto the main deck. The Red Ace was a small but sturdy ship, a 50 foot caravel, it's hull was made of a dark red wood and it's keel and railings were painted black. A large black spade was painted on the main sail and the figure head was also in the shape of a spade. All of the windows were in the shape of hearts. A few chunks were missing and places could be seen where even more were shoddily replaced. Much of the rigging had been modified so that, with difficulty, it could be sailed by a single person, assuming their grip was strong enough to pull the ropes through the pulley system. With three people manning it, sailing it would be a cake walk. "Alright you two, welcome aboard the Red Ace! No time to show you around, they hopefully didn't see us but we can only be so lucky, just do what I say and we'll take of with the blinds!" Jack took the helm and began shouting out orders on how to work the unique ship and he turned the rudder to catch the wind they rode in on.
