Arnell grinned, trying to memorize their names in his head so that he would not forget them. He wondered why the little girl called herself a Great Hero when he had heard next to nothing about her before now. Even stranger, he'd never heard of a Captain Jack Ringer, and he wasn't sure that someone who could get their ass beat by a little girl like Amaranth deserved to be a Captain. Regardless, the man with the wolf's head for a hood accepted their titles and names all.
"Well, Ron, lead the way to your treasure. I've got my mind set on this. The Saint himself may be holing himself up in Mariejois or whatever ridiculously named island he calls his home, but I sure as all hells won't let him ruin Jaya with this nonsense. Your treasure is just a bonus." His grin was perpetual, and it wasn't likely to leave until something terrible happened.

"Amadeus?" Ron asked. "Amawhat? Man, what kind of parent names their kid that. Call me whatever you want. But the name's Ron Guer. Remember that."
Chuckling to himself, the rogue turned toward Jack with a sarcastic smirk.
"Oh, a Captain, eh? Captain of what? You got any crew? They might be of some help."
Facing the other way, Ron crossed his arms and tapped his foot. He seemed almost displeased wtih Arnell's response, but didn't want to show it.
"Kind of odd, you don't even know what the treasure is and you still want to follow me. So be it. Let's go."
---
The hotel was huge or, rather, what was to be the hotel. It was a mere shell of what it was to become. Still, it was impressive, standing at five stories tall with grand windows and a ditch which was what appeared to be the beginnings of a expansive in-ground pool, which bordered the private beach set off for the resort.
Ron brought the three to the gates outside of the hotel. Already they could see security in black suits and sunglasses walking around the construction site through the tall metal fence. It seemed odd that they would be guarding a site that wasn't even finished yet, but Ron, Ammy, Jack and Arnell knew there was something at stake.
"Don't try to look too hard at the hotel," Ron warned, "lest the guards think we're up to something. It's bad enough that I'm here. They know my face."
The rogue touched his head and made sure his bandanna was secure. He seemed awfully protective of his head.
"There's a section of the hotel that's already finished for Saint Matthew when he comes to visit. That's where my stuff is located. See it?"
There was a separate building in the back, closer to the beach than the main one. It was on stilts, separated from the ground. Around it was a clear dome, much like the domes found on Celestial Dragons' heads. A staircase lead up to metal doors which blocked anyone from entering through normal means.
"It's likely tucked away somewhere in there. Now, I prefer sneaking my way around, but you guys might want to do something different. Then again, sneaking might be our only option. I can't possibly you three doing any damage against these guys. If there were three of you strong, intimidating wolf guys, I could see it working. But a little girl and a guy who got taken out by said girl? Not a chance."

He hadn't even half finished his warning when Ammy vaulted up the fence, charging straight up it and over the side like some kind of deranged monkey with a whoop of challenge and sprinting for the dome; sword drawn and shield levelled to bull aside anyone who got in her way.
"HONOR AND GLORYYYYY!" she shouted in her girlish voice, kicking up a cloud of dust on her way to hell or glory.

Arnell grinned and took a step forward and away from the party of acquaintances that weren't charging in just yet, "I like this kid's style,[/color]" His muscles bulged, and he began expanding outward. His skin became black and scale-like, but was clearly more salamander in nature. His face reformed into a salamander jaw as he assumed his hybrid form. With one great leap, he was over the fence. With his trained speed, he was likely to not only surprise his party of friends, but the enemies that he was charging.

"You don't need a crew to be a captain," said Jack as they headed off toward the hotel. "You just need a ship" Arriving at their destination, Jack listened patiently to Ron's plan even as Ammy ran off. "You probably should have seen that coming. Welp too late now, for us anyway, you're not necessarily involved so you can still fold at this point if you're getting cold feet, but I think we got this. And by the way, not to say she's any ordinary girl but... that beating earlier was a bet. He stepped forward but stopped as Arnell leaps over his head. Sheesh, you think you know a guy and then he turns into a 7-foot-tall lizard. He continued off, making his way around to the right side of the hotel along the outside of the wall.

Meanwhile, in a finished room inside of the hotel, a portly woman sat reading over some files. She sipped on some coffee and tapped her pen.
"What is on the agenda, Steves?" she asked in a low voice.
To her right stood a butler with a monocle. His receding hair line barely covered a shimmering bald head.
"Madam, we were about to have crumpets and tea with Mr. Copper, but it appears as though we have had some unexpected visitors invade the premises."
"That rat's here again?" she nearly spit out her tea.
"No, another Zoan, a lizard I think. There are two unknown men and what appears to be a young girl."
Squeezing the cup of coffee in her hands, it broke and shattered in her fist, spreading coffee over all her documents. Her fury made her face turn red.
"Arrest them! Kill them! Do whatever it takes! If they reach Saint Matthew's private condo, I'll have my head on the chopping board!"
---
"What! Seriously?!" Ron shouted as Ammy and Arnell darted over the gate. His face turned pale as he watched the action from the other side of the gate.
The three were greeted with armed guards, all wielding swords. They could likely hear one of them to "bring out the guns," suggesting perhaps they had something devastating in store for the group.
"Surrender immediately and leave the premises or we will be forced to kill you!" one shouted, pointing his sword toward Ammy.
Three men surrounded Ammy and five surrounded Arnell, who are looked terrified about the prospect of having to fight a salamander hybrid of a beast. For now, Jack went unnoticed.
"S-surrender!"

Ammy skidded to a shaky halt in front of the guard who intercepted her, nearly pitching head over heels again.
"Oho! So there is a brave man among you! Speak your name sir, I would know it before I face you in honorable combat! As for me, I am the Immaculate Hero, Amaranth Kilgain!" She shouted, lifting her hard-bitten sword high and wearing a smile that was just slightly -too- broad, too enthusiastic for a little girl facing down a grown man; it was the sort of smile a shark made when it saw a juicy baleen whale.

Arnell stopped as the five men circled him, "Amaranth sure does like shouting her name," he mumbled, and waited for the men to inch closer. He feigned being cornered like a beast, and snapped at someone getting too close too fast. All the while, poison gathered in his glands, building up to a rather large bubble that the men likely weren't even sure was a danger. As they got close enough, his wide salamander jaw seemed to grin.
"Salamander Bomb!"
The large bubble exploded in all directions around him, and with the guards so close, he was sure that this would daze them. In the midst of the haze and liquid flying about, Arnell dug into the moist earth beneath him and disappeared temporarily.

Jack walked, hands in his pockets, making his way along the wall. He listened to the commotion on the other side, prepared to hop over should things go south but having seen Amaranth's strength first-hand he was willing to bet she and a zoan user could take the guys he'd seen walking around the hotel. He turned the corner and followed the wall now heading out to the water's edge. No longer blocked by the buildings the ocean breeze blew back the tail of his long coat as he went. He looked up and could see the dome and elevated building over the wall, closer now.

"I'm R-rizzo," the soldier stuttered nervously to Ammy. A tuff of light green hair stuck out from his helm. He looked rather young for a working guard, probably in his early teens.
"What are you doing, kid?!" another soldier barked as Arnell attacked. "Look out!"
The haze distracted all of the guards from Arnell's burrowing. They darted around in confusion.
"Where'd he go!"
"Look at the ground!" the one called Rizzo called out. He didn't approach the newly dug dirt for fear Arnell would spring up again.
"Search everywhere!" one of the guards called out. "Don't let him out of your sight!"
For now, the guards completely ignored Ammy, not seeing her as a threat.
---
Through the fence posts, Jack could see a man leaving the bubbled dome. He opened the inner door and closed it, walking forward to the bubble perimeter. Leaving the exterior, he latched a keyring onto the side of his belt. Jack would be able to see one key in particular was golden and embedded with several jewels.
The man noticed Jack for a moment, but took him to be a passerby and ultimately ignored him, walking briskly toward the sea.
The three might notice that Ron was nowhere to be seen.

"...Rizzo the guard? R-really?" she said, seeming to deflate slightly, sword drooping a bit.
"Well... if that's your name, I guess it's your name. Umm, sorry about this then." She said, taking a deep breath and smacking herself in the cheeks as if to dispel the disappointment of that, crouching low and sliding one foot far behind her for leverage, before bounding forward in an ungainly hurling of skinny limbs, drawing her sword back with a whistling of wind through it's many bitten cracks, before slashing it forward more like a whip than a sword... and turning it at the last moment so that instead of deadly edge, Rizzo's face met the blade's flat side, going one way, then the other, then up above, her weedy arm a blur of blunted violence.

Stopping to peek through the gaps in the fence Jack watched the man leaving. "Now where are you off to?" he said softly to himself. He looked up at the surprisingly tall fence. "No problem" He drew his hands from his pockets and made a running jump up the wall. He placed the blue palms of his hands on it, his inescapable grasp taking a firm grip on the flat surface. He quickly began scaling the tall structure, climbing hand-over-hand at a surprising speed. Soon he reached the top and balanced himself atop it with one hand holding its surface. He looked down at the scene below him.

The salamander Zoan had no idea that Ron had disappeared. He was far too busy digging. He thought for a moment, that he might be able to sneak around everyone like this and get to the treasure first, but... that would probably be too complicated. Better to have back-up if he needed it. Instead of going for his usual Surprise! attack, Arnell's hands shot through the ground, and pulled one guard down, so that he was buried up to his head! And another! And another!
Arnell was sure that this was going to work, so after the third one, he popped out under the fourth, "Salamander Surprise!" His clenched fist soared towards the guard's chin, in a powerful uppercut move. He was happy that this island had some pretty moist ground. It wasn't very often that Arnell could enjoy digging around this easily.

Rizzo's ears twitched at the whistle on the wind.
With a slight turn of his head, Ammy might have been able to see that his eyes were black. His irises and pupils seemed to mold together into a black pool. He actually ducked under the attack by leaning back. If the pirate was observing closely, she'd be able to see that, for a moment, Rizzo actually decreased in size. His hair, like his eyes, was also black.
Snapping back forward, the boy scratched his head in confusion. He frowned in disappointment. His eyes and features were normal again.
"What was that for, kid? It's bad enough you trespassed but be sure not to hurt anybody. I don't mind if you attack me, but if you go after anyone else, I will be forced to subdue you."
Watching his comrades getting taken out by Arnell seemed to be quite the shock to Rizzo. The guard's mouth dropped as his friend was knocked out by an amazing uppercut. The other guards yelled out in fear and ran toward the town.
"What!" Rizzo exclaimed, shaking in fear. "Did you... turn into a giant lizard? O-oh dear, don't kill us! Please!"
Clearly the boy had a bit more respect for Arnell than he did for Ammy. He pointed his blade at Arnell with unsteady hands.
"Ooooooooh dear... p-please s-s-s-surrender n-now, if you would."
---
From the height advantage on the wall, Jack could see the man walking further along the beach. He seemed to be heading away from the premises for some reason, maybe to keep the keys or whatever belongings he had safe.
But from this same viewpoint, he could also see a surprise attack being intiated on Ammy and Arnell. From the sides of the hotel, a group of men with rifles waited patiently for some kind of signal to strike the pirates.
He could run after the man or warn his pirate associates of the danger... or perhaps try both or neither.

Ammy felt the supremely unsatisfying woosh and whistle of air along her sword instead of the meaty thwack of metal on flesh, a puzzled expression on her face as she spun through the air, landing on one hand and then dancing awkwardly back up to her feet, levelling her sword back at Rizzo with a grin.
"Oho, it seems I've underestimated you sir..." she trailed off as he began shouting for their surrender while not even looking at her; a vein popping on her forehead as she leapt at him, spiky sandal whipping toward his head. "DON'T IGNORE PEOPLE WHO ARE TALKING TO YOU, IT'S RUDE!"
